Tiara walked the forest feeling lost. Her hand sliding gently across the ancient echidna text in the book. How was she gonna get the translation? it's not like she could just ask an echidna they have long since been declared extinct. Except possibly one She's heard mention of a red echidna fighting along side the famed hero Sonic the hedgehog. The rumour was that he was the last and the final Guardian. But that sounded so impossible... right?
Her inner thoughts were interrupted as a purple mobian stands before her, one of his hands hovering over his gun and the other holding some device. "Oi, looks like you've got something I want, I suggest you be a good girl and hand it over." he stated as tapped his gun in the holster "and no body gets hurt"
Tiara looked at him sceptically "And what exactly is it that you want?" she held her bag tighter.
He flicked a little gem shard in his fingers and catching it without having to look at it. "I know you have one of these, hand it over and there'll be no problems" he said holding out an open hand.
"What makes you think I have one?" She asked annoyed 'who does this guy think he is' she thinks to herself.
"Don't play coy sheila, I know you have one, the radar doesn't lie. so I suggest you hand it over". She hovers over the flap of her bag preparing to make a run for it. Till something's roar can be heard with in the forest they both turn there heads to the source of the noise. A large bear like monster is rampaging before them, it's body like a oozing black smoke or tar, purple gems lined it's back and shoulders, as if they were just embedded into it's skin. It's eyes white soulless orbs and it's teeth razor sharp, drool spat out of it's mouth with every roar.
Tiara was quick on her feet as she ran up the tree, her special talent of being a manx cat. But the Purple mobian was confined to his feet running away as fast as he could as the bear thing drew closer, a large paw about to swipe him. He pointed his gun at it, the bullets just sinking into the bears skin with no effect. His eyes widened as the bear reared onto it's hind legs to make it's deadly blow.
Tiara cursed to herself as she jumped down onto the back of the bear. She pushed down into it's head with all her might, because of it's rearing position it fell head first into the ground. She grabbed the male mobian's hand and throw a ring out in front of them. The same ring she was grabbing before to make a run from this creep, well it looks like he's lucky she didn't. It stretched before them revealing another location in it's centre, like a portal.
She jumped into it with him in tow as the bear made it's way back up but the ring disappeared before it could catch them. "What (pant) was (pant) THAT?!" the man shouted in surprise.
"A warp ring, it was my last one" she stated putting her little empty bag back in her satchel.
"I meant that back there, you saved me, why?" he asked sceptically, grabbing her arm tightly.
"Cause you needed saving duh" she replied annoyed at such a stupid question, pushing his arm away.
"But after I threatened you?!" he asked in disbelief.
"Your welcome by the way" Tiara hissed annoyed at the shouting. "Now if you'll excuse me, i'm looking for someone" she started to walk away.
"Let me help you" He said bitterly not wanting to look at her.
"Excuse me?" she said turning back to him, had she heard that right?
"I am indebted to you, that's my code, I know how the world works if you don't pay off your debts they come back to haunt you, so let me help you" he requested.
"Your kidding, what about the gem shard you wanted?" She asked confused by the sudden change in attitude.
"My employer can wait, and I might be able to convince you to part with it yet" he replied. "I can be a responsible bloke when I want to be"
"Very well, maybe you can help me" She stated hesitantly. "I don't really know where i'm going." she spoke honestly, she was kind of stressed with her lack of knowledge of what to do. "Do you know of the the red Mobian that works with Sonic the hedgehog sometimes?"
"Ha know him? mate, i've fought him and with him, I can take you too him if you'll consider my debt repaid" He replied smuggly.
"It's a deal then, names Tiara Boobowski by the way" she said with a little wave.
"Fang the sniper at your service" he tipped his hat in courtesy.
It was supposed to be a simple mission, go into one of the doctors lab and retrieve some documents but there was something very wrong with him. For some reason Shadow found himself feeling odd, he felt this uncomfortable feeling in his stomach as his chaos energy swirled inside of him, building up without his control he was starting to glow a very visible red and the others had taken noticed.
"Run!" he shouted at them the only thing he could he as more and more power built up inside him about to burst.
"Shadow?" Rouge questioned worryingly taking a step back, noticing the odd display of her partner. "What's wrong?"
"ABNORMAL CHAOS INFLUX. CHAOS ENERGY LEVELS RISING. CHAOS BLAST IN 12 11 10.." Omega stated.
"What's causing it?" Rouge asked taking a step back.
"ORGIN UNKOWN 6 5 4"
Shadow's body was frozen in place as his body overloaded with power he didn't summon, rendering him unable to run and save them from such a blast. His legs about to buckle under the pressure as Omega shielded Rouges body from the destruction he was about to cause. And then the shield of some kind of glass like material encapsulated around him, one of the doctors traps?
"3 2 1" Omega's count down had finished and right on cue the power ripped through the hedgehog, the red blast slamming hard on the shield he was trapped with in, cracks occurred threatening to make the material give way but it stayed resilient. the intensity of the blast and power causing the hedgehogs eyes to roll shut and collapse under his own weight into a unresponsive heap on the floor.
"Shadow!" Rouge shouted in panic to the unconscious hedgehog as she banged on the glass to try and get to him to help.
"Well it's a good thing I had that Chaos camber built, or else he might of caused quite the mess, wouldn't you agree?" Eggman asked smugly.
"Eggman! What did you do?" Rouge growled at him standing protectively in front of the hedgehog.
"Besides stopping you from being incinerated nothing, little miss home invader" he deadpanned with his arms crossed.
Tails and Sonic flew the tornado to the familiar house of Vanilla and her daughter Cream. Landing to see the happy girl waving at them from her front yard, her chao Cheese by her side.
"Tails, mister Sonic, so nice to see you again!" she bowed respectively in excitement.
"Hey Cream long time no see." Sonic greeted back.
"What brings you guys here? Come for afternoon tea?" she asked cheerfully.
"Actually we were wondering if you could Chao sit for us?" Tails asked showing her the green chao poking it's head curiously out of his bag.
"Oh wow what a coincidence, I just found a lost chao recently" Cream exclaimed, showing a small purple chao hiding behind her feet. "Looks like you have more friends to play with Cheese!" she stated in excitement with her friend.
"Chao chao!" it cooed in excitement.
"Wow you found one too?" Sonic asked petting the little creature, it also seemed to be a baby. "What's his name?"
"Plum" she replied.
"Oh wow, it seems like Plum is also emitting chaos energy" Tails said hovering his miles electric over it.
"wow what are the chances, does Cheese have it?" Sonic asked, maybe something has happened to all the chao of the world.
"Good idea" Tails replied as he scanned the chao "No, it seems to be just plum and Shamrock"
"Is it bad? Are they sick mister Sonic?!" Cream asked worriedly.
"I don't think so, we are on our way to get Eggman to find out if he has something to do with this." Sonic explained "that's why we came to ask if you could look after Shamrock while we are gone?"
"Of course i'm always happy to help especially with Chao" she replied happily. "Stay safe Mister Sonic and Tails"
"Ha of course! See ya Cream we'll see ya later!" Sonic said with a wave jumping back in the tornado.
"So any idea what the chao connection is?" Sonic asked to the twin tail fox as they soared across the jungle.
"no clue, but I do know that Chao are connected to Chaos in someway and Chaos is connected to the master Emerald. So something could of happened to the master Emerald?" Tails replied unsure, he really didn't know at this stage, not enough data.
"So what? Knucklehead pushed the off switch or something?" Sonic joked.
"I wouldn't have a clue but knowing Eggman, he'd have something to do with this." Tails stated and Sonic merely nodded in agreement.
"Well what ever it is, we'll fix it like we always do." Sonic replied from the back seat cocky grin on his face as he closed his eyes and relaxed, enjoying the little plane ride while he can.
