As Kion was going through The Pride Lands, The Pridelanders were surprised to see him, soon he saw Zazu flying around, Zazu saw Kion, but Kion stopped him from going to tell Simba and Nala as he explained why he's here and that he wants to surprise his family. After Zazu heard that, he answered: "I see. Well I won't ruin your surprise. However, your parents are hunting with Kovu and the other lioness. And Vitani and her Lion Guard are protecting Kilio Valley." Kion: "What about Kiara?" Zazu: "She on Pride Rock." Kion: "OK. I guess I will go and surprise her first. It's good to see you Zazu." Zazu: "Thank you, your majesty. Have fun." After he said that Zazu flew away and Kion continued to walk to Pride Rock. When Kion reached Pride Rock, he climbed up to the edge and he saw his sister standing there. Kiara didn't felt his presence as she continued to look at the horizon, when Kion saw his sister standing on Pride Rock like a queen, he found it majestic. However Kiara started to fell dizzy and she was about to fall from the edge, Kion saw that, so he grabbed and pulled her as she landed in his paws. When she regained consciousness, she was surprised to see that she was saved by her brother.

Kiara got up and asked with confusion: "Kion? What are you doing here?"

Kion: "What? I can't come to see you?"

Kiara: "Of course you can." She nuzzled her brother and said: "I miss you little brother."

Kion: "Same here Kiara. It's the reason why I came here."

Kiara: "I'm glad. Also thank you for saving me."

Kion: "You're welcome. You seemed to be dizzy. Why?"

Kiara lied: "I was just tired."

Kion noticed that Kiara was lying and he realized what really made her dizzy, but he didn't want to bother her right now.

Kiara: "I'm sorry that I didn't pay you a visit for a whole year."

Kion: "It's okay. You were just busy, that's all."

Kiara: "Yeah. A lot of things changed since you became King of The Tree of Life."

Kion: "Like what?"

Kiara: "Well. Jasiri and I became besties. Janja and I got to know each other better. Rafiki got a new apprentice since Makini became Royal Mjuzi of the Tree of Life. Kovu have become besties with Janja and Makku. Tiifu is training to protect me. Zuri is looking for a mate and I made a new best friend that is actually a male."

Kion: "Cool. Who is he?"

Before Kiara could answer, she heard someone calling her name and coming to her. It was her new best friend who was Badili, the nice leopard.

Kion: "Badili? You're Kiara's new best friends?"

Badili: "Yes. And it's good to see you Kion. It's been a long time since we last met."

Kion: "I agree"

Kiara: "Badili told me everything about the day you helped him defeat Mapigano."

Kion: "Yeah. Speaking of it, what happened to him?"

Badili: "He became The New Lion Guard's biggest enemy."

Kion said with surprised expression: "What?"

Badili: "Yeah. After he heard about Scar's defeat, he decided to become a bigger villain. So he's trying to take over The Pride Lands."

Kion: "By himself?"

Badili: "Nah. He teamed up with a lizard named Kenge, a harrier hawk named Mpishi, an insane jackal named Wazimu and an aggressive tiger named Hasira."

Kion: "I know Kenge and Mpishi but I've never heard of a jackal named Wazimu?"

Kiara: "That's because he isn't from Reirei's pack and he isn't from The Pride Lands."

Kion: "That's new." Kion remembered something, so he said: "I did herd of Hasira tho. Rani told me that he was her father's sworn enemy. Hasira got banished for bullying others and forcing them to do what he wants."

Kiara gasped: "That is so mean."

Kion: "I know. Does Mapigano's team have a name?"

Badili: "Yes. They call themselves The Villainous Five."

Kion: "I think it suits them." He turned to Kiara and asked: "How is Vitani doing her job as leader of The Lion Guard?"

Kiara answered with a giggle: "Just like you used to." After she stopped giggling she continued: "Actually when they face The Villainous Five it's like your Lion Guard when you used to take down Janja and his clan."

Kion: "OK. So, how is your training as Future Queen of The Pride Lands?"

Kiara: "My training is complete and by Sunday, Kovu and I will become King and Queen."

Kion gasped: "That is amazing" Kion turned around to see that his parents, his brother-in-law, the pride and The Lion Guard are coming, Kiara and Badili saw that and Badili said: "I better leave now. It was nice to meet you."

Kion: "Same here"

Kiara: "Bye Badili"

After Badili left, the lions came on the top of Pride Rock, they were surprised to see Kion, especially Simba and Nala. They rushed to him and hugged him with tears of joy. Kion calmed them down by saying: "It's OK. I missed you too." Kovu came to him and said: "It's good to see you Kion." Kion: "Same here bro." he fist bumped Kovu, and he explained why he's here. Nala said with sadness: "Oh Kion. I'm sorry that you've been through all this." Kion nuzzled his mother and said: "I'm alright now. You don't need to worry." Simba: "We're glad that you're here son. Would you like to eat with us?" Kion: "Sure" Kion entered Pride Rock with the other lions. Everyone started eating and they talked about Kiara and Kovu's coronation. After he ate enough, Kion asked his father: "Can I have a walk around The Pride Lands?"

Simba answered with a smile: "Sure. But be back when The Moon shows up."

Kovu: "Can I come with him?"

Simba: "Sure Kovu."

Kovu: "Kion. You wouldn't mind if I join you?"

Kion: "I wouldn't mind Kovu."

Kion and Kovu walked to Kilio Valley and Kion asked: "Hey Kovu. Have you ever thought about what is like to be a father?"

Kovu: "Not much, but becoming a father is a big responsibility. Why are you asking me this?"

Kion: "Just wondering."

Kovu: "What it's like to be king?"

Kion: "It's like a big achievement. It's a big responsibility as well, but being a father takes priority."

Kovu: "Do you think I will be a great king?"

Kion: "If my family trusts you then I trust you as well."

Kovu made a wider smile when he heard that. Soon they reached Kilio Valley and they had a conversation with Ma Tembo. Later they went to Hakuna Matata Falls where they saw Timon and Pumbaa. They asked if Bunga was here and answered with no which made Timon and Pumbaa a little sad but that had fun with Kion and Kovu as they were telling jokes and singing Hakuna Matata. Soon it got dark and Kion and Kovu left saying goodbye to Timon and Pumbaa.

After they got to Pride Rock, Kion and Kovu entered Pride Rock and went to sleep with their family. When it became midnight, Kion woke up because he noticed that his sister wasn't there, he saw her standing on the edge again but with a sad expression. Kion came to her worried and asked: "Are you okay Kiara?" Kiara: "I'm fine. I just worried." Kion: "Why?" Kiara: "I'm going to become queen soon and I don't know if I'm ready for this. Remember when I we were cubs and dad made a queen temporarily?" Kion: "Yes?" Kiara: "You were right, the decisions I made back then were terrible. What if I make bigger mistakes?"

Kion was surprised about Kiara's words, but he noticed that she was still hiding "the thing". He took a deep breath, put his paw on his sister's shoulder and said: "You won't fail." Kiara: "What?" Kion: "I believe you can do it. After all you're not alone. You have me, you have Kovu, you have mom and dad, even The Lions of The Past will help you. As for the mistakes, we can't run from them, we can only learn from them. Dad made huge mistakes by trusting Scar and letting Kopa walk around without someone keeping an eye on him but those mistakes didn't stopped him from becoming a great king and a good father. I'm sure you will be a great queen." Kiara put a huge smile on her face when she heard that. Kion smiled as well and he asked: "Speaking of fathers. When are you telling Kovu?"

Kiara asked with a nervous face: "What?"

Kion: "I'm not stupid Kiara. You weren't tired. You're pregnant, aren't you?"

Kiara sighed and answered with a sad face: "Yes. I'm worried Kion. I haven't become a queen yet and now I'm going to be a mother. This will make my life more difficult. Oh Kion, what will they say when they learn about it." As she was saying that, tears were coming out of her eyes. Kion whipped out her tears and asked: "How long have you been pregnant?" Kiara: "Three days" Kion: "A lioness is pregnant for 108 days and you have five days until you become queen, so you have hundred days of ruling until you get into labor. This looks special." Kiara said with a weak smile: "Yeah but will mom and dad accept it." Kion: "Accept it or not. I'm with you and so as Kovu." Kiara answered with decisive smile: "Then I will tell them this morning." Kion: "Good. Now let's go to sleep." Kiara nodded and she entered Pride Rock with Kion and they went back to sleep.
