Greetings, everybody, and welcome to the next chapter of Infinity Train: Try Everything. A chapter filled with suspense, drama, and-
Oh, who am I kidding? It's an April Fools Day joke, everybody! Enjoy!
Lucy Loud had better days.
It was already hard enough to believe that her older sister, Lynn Loud, had gone missing shortly after they had an argument. It was such an unexpected turn of events, too, since from her perspective, she walked out of the room, talked to their parents for about five minutes, then returned to find her gone.
But what really tore at her, what really, seriously upset the gothic kid, was that for all intents and purposes... this was her fault.
"Lucy, I need to get back to training!"
"You've been training for the past few weeks, you need to rest!"
This was the exchange that served as a prelude to Lynn and Lucy's fateful sisterly bonding time.
And what was this bonding time about?
"I'm not interested in the supernatural stuff you're into, Luce!" Lynn stated. "That stuff requires brains! And while I don't want to say I'm stupid, I'm not particularly smart either!"
"Oh trust me, I've noticed," Lucy replied, earning a look from the jock. "Which is why I decided to look for a particular type of superstition."
"Which is?"
Lucy reached for a book, and handed it to the jock, smiling slightly as she asked with confusion:
"Sport superstitions?"
She introduced Lynn to the superstitions.
She did nothing to curb her enthusiasm regarding them.
She stood still and watched as she kept doing those superstitions in order to win.
She said nothing when those same superstitions caused Lynn to accuse Lincoln of being bad luck.
She's the reason Lynn went missing.
But beating herself up for it wouldn't help. Whining and moping about it wouldn't bring Lynn back: if anything, given how she acts, it would probably drive her away.
Right now, the best she could do was stay calm, and pray that Lynn would eventually return safe and sound.
It's not like her life was in danger, right?
... Right?
After all, today was April Fools, and she wasn't around for the disaster that was-
*CREEEAK*
Oh no.
"April Fools Day, Lucy!" Luan chirped, before her mood soured. "That's what I wanna say, but I'm too bummed to prank right now."
... What?
"I'm just so worried about Lynn! Do you think she's okay?!"
Oh, yeah, Luan did notice, didn't she?
"I'm sure she'll be fine," Lucy sighed. "She's... she's tougher than she looks, whatever she's facing right now, I'm sure she can handle it."
Lynn sweat profusely while playing chess against a corgi with a crown, Tuba and Hazel cheering for her in the distance of the chess-themed Car.
"This feels like such a lackluster punchline!"
