Here's the Owl House side of the first chapter! Again, there is a nod to the previous Witches and Cryptids story that I did but like before it isn't a must read to understand what's going on in this story. On to the chapter!
Intro is just as it normally would be here.(No lyrics of course)
It was another beautiful day at the Boiling Isles. Luz was fresh off of another day of school at Hexside Academy. Even after all that she did against Emperor Belos, she wasn't banished from the school. The Emperor instead deciding in the walls of his lair to "keep an eye on the Owl House," while in the public eye he made the judgement that Eda's curse was enough of a punishment for venturing into the arts of wild magic.
The next spell that she would attempt to master with the help of Eda was the spell of invisibility. It was the one that she has been learning in the illusion class for the past two days. Sure, Eda may not be able to do magic herself, something that Eda herself admitted that she would have to get used too, but Luz had told her that they would be willing to learn together. After all, Luz herself was never able to do magic outside of glyphs, so she had to admit that she was somewhat of an expert of it by now.
"Invisibility spell, huh? Well, good luck with that." Amity told Luz.
"Thanks." Luz said.
"So how's everything going with Eda?" Gus asked.
"Oh, right the magic. It's been a slow process to be honest. She's learning, but she said it's hard to get used to. Same with her sister." Luz said. "But we'll get there. I couldn't do magic at all before. Now look where I am." Luz added. "I've still got a ways to go myself, but…" Luz trailed off.
Amity put her hand on Luz's shoulder. "You'll do great. I guarantee it." Amity told her.
"Thanks. That means a lot." Luz said, her confidence increased.
"It's nothing." Amity said, realizing that she had her hand on Luz's shoulder and took it off quickly, blushing.
Willow, Luz, Gus and Amity all walk to the Owl House to practice spells.
Catching up, Lilith and Eda were skipping rocks across the lake together when they heard footsteps. Both of them turned around.
"Hey Eda!" Luz said.
"What's up kiddo?" Eda responded.
Still feeling a bit shy after what happened between the two before the whole ordeal with the Emperor, she said hello and waved.
"I just had the rest of the invisibility spell lesson today. I'm hoping you can help me practice it while you learn glyphs." Luz said.
"Sure thing kid." Eda said.
"You don't mind if I partake in this lesson too, do you sister?" Lilith said. Having the mentality that she was always the best in magic, with her sister being the only competition, she felt empty without it, as if there was a hole in her heart. She knew that it would take even more for her to get used to using glyphs than her sister, as she always knew her as someone that could think outside of the box in almost anything. But even so, if it meant making up for all of the things that she did in the past, to her sister and to Luz and the others, she was willing to learn. And to teach as well. Even though she lost the ability to do magic, that didn't mean that she suddenly forgot all that she learned. She knew that her knowledge from all those years in the academy would prove valuable to Luz's learning.
"Sure, why not? The kid needs all the training she can get. Maybe you guys could learn something too." Eda said, the last statement referring to Amity, Gus, and Willow.
"Where's King?" Luz asked.
"Oh, he's inside." Eda told her.
As they were about to go in, Eda hears something and turns around to see what it is, only to see a boy with snow-white hair in a black outfit and grey boots and gloves flying towards them at high speed.
"What in the-" Eda said, before realizing he was coming at Luz and the others.
"Luz, look out!" Eda said. Luz turned around to see what Eda was alerting her for, but it was too little, too late. The white-haired teen hit Luz smack-dab in the face and on the ground, with their lips connecting.
And there you have it? There's the Owl House side of chapter one! Shorter than the Danny Phantom side, but this is only the beginning! The rest of the story will be just as, if not more exhilarating!
