Mutant's Planned Time Loop
Gal-El didn't know what had happened to him. There had been a bright light, tremendous pain and then nothing but blackness, but even that was fading now as he opened his eyes.
He was in a strange red… place. It wasn't a room, but it wasn't outdoors either, he couldn't explain it as there were swirls of various shades of red floating around him, and the platform on which he lay, although cool, was also a deep shade of maroon. His eyes though found he wasn't alone.
"What…?" He jumped up, shocked at the man's appearance before him. Wearing dark armor, it's color unknown in the red light around them, it was the man's face that freaked Gal out the most – it was deeply pale, even in the light, and almost skeletal in its detail. He was grinning though.
"My Pariah," the man stated, his joy almost contagious.
"Your what?" Gal asked.
"Pariah," the man stated. "The person who released me, gifted to witness my long-overdue reign."
"I don't know what you mean," Gal stated. "Where are we?"
"You're in my realm. The Anti-Matter Domain. For so long I was locked away from it, holed up in that prison, but now it's the start of everything I stand for," the man stated.
"Look, I'm sorry you were locked away, but it was with my uncle trying to release some… God. I had hoped that it failed…" he let this sentence fall as the pieces fell into place in his mind, the man before him smirking. "Wait, you're Mobius?"
"I usually go by Anti-Monitor, but yes, he is I," the Anti-Monitor stated. "And as you were the one to release me, you are my Pariah."
"You've done that bit," Gal stated. "But I am nobody's anyone. I am Gal-El, son of Jor-El, brother to Kal-El and destined to take over my father's place on the Kryptonian High Council."
"Ah, yes, well about that," the Anti-Monitor sighed. "Your planet is no more. It's people dead. Upon my release the core of the world collapsed."
"What…?" Gal paused, but something inside him knew it to be true. "My family… are dead?"
"Everyone you've ever known and, dare I say it, loved," the Anti-Monitor nodded. "But have no fear, Pariah, you have new family – you have me," as he said this, he held out his hand and hit Gal with an energy blast, but Gal didn't fly backward or was even hurt; instead, his Kryptonian outfit changed, to be replaced by a costume of green and gold, along with a matching cape and his mind… he suddenly saw it all: The multiverse and the destruction yet to come.
"What have you done?" Gal gasped, having fallen to his knees at the attack.
"I got the ball rolling. Now come, Pariah, we have a multiverse to replace," the Anti-Monitor held out his hand to Gal. He had no choice but to take it.

On Mutant Earth, the Splitsville Waverider had landed outside of the Kent Farm.
"We need to get to the house," Mutant Kara said after a moment looking out over her world. "Kal, Griffin, Zane, Zoey. We need to get our kids Stalker."
"Cisco," Mutant Barry said, agreeing with his wife, "let's go."
"We need…" Monitor started.
"If you want to be of help, you and your Harbinger can help hold off the destruction while we get a plan ready," Mutant Kara snapped at the Anti-Matter as Cisco opened a portal right to the farmhouse for the two.
"Go fight the dementors," Cisco said, naming the black shadows after the Harry Potter creature before taking the portal himself.
"Well…" New Justice Kara said after the three were gone. The Monitor sighed and then nodded to Harbinger. The two leaving to join the fight the fight outside.
"What exactly are we doing?" Rae asked, petting her dog, Daniel. She wanted to join the fight outside but knew it would be pointless. Punching at the shadows would not stop the destruction. They needed a plan more than hitting.
Splitsville Sara opened her mouth to contribute, but then their Leonard Snart A.I announced they were getting a call in to their system. On their viewscreen, Sara and Ava were shocked by Rip Hunter appearing on an identical bridge to the one they were on.
"Alternate Waverider," the new Rip spoke.
"Rip?" Sara and Ava said together, surprised at their former mentor who had been dead on their world.
"Oh, another me," it was another Sara walking into the view screen. She put her arms around Rip in an intimate way that made Splitsville Sara raise an eyebrow.
"Your arrival is actually right on time," Rip stated. "We have a plan, but we could use some extra power. We want to trap these shadows in a time loop."
"A real time loop?" it was Splitsville Zari coming in and walking up – she had thought she was in a time loop one, but it had turned out it was just their A.I. Snart teaching her a lesson in her head. While it had helped her grow, it wasn't real, so she had never seen a real time loop before.
"Of course," Rip stated. "We have done it before to a villain in the past, but for something of this size we need the extra power – which is where your Waverider will come in. Jax and I will teleport over to your ship and help refine your engine. It's a quick process, although we'll need to remain on your Waverider to make sure the modifications stick."
"We'll aim the time loop at the shadow creatures, they seem to be doing the most damage," Mutant's Sara added.
"It's a good plan," it was Splitsville Rae speaking up. "But you don't use it against the Dementors."
"She's right," SuperEarth Barry said. "They are just a symptom of the problem. Like they were on Karry when Darkseid attacked. If we want to stop it we go after the Anti-Monitor," SuperEarth Barry explained.
"The pale guy?" Mutant Earth's Sara asked.
"Yes, the pale guy," SuperEarth Barry confirmed. "But we'll need all the power we can get to go after him."
"They are right. We use your plan against the Anti-Monitor," Splitsville Sara agreed.
"You seem to know what's going on so we'll switch our plan to your suggestion. Permission to come aboard?" Rip asked.
"Granted," Sara said, and had to turn away as Rip kissed his Sara and then teleported onto the bridge with Jax, surprising the group at the teleportation.
"That is so cool," Ray breathed. They didn't have teleportation technology on their Earth. "Come on, I'll help get this set up." Ray smiled at the alternate of Jax, missing his old friend, and gave Rip a nod as they went.

Mutant Kara and Barry ran into the house. Barry was fast in getting all three kids in his arms.
"Wait, where's Kal?" Kara asked. When Cisco had turned up right after the skies had gone red, she had told Kal to watch the kids. The only reason why she had agreed to leave was because she trusted Kal to be there for them.
"Only thing watching the kids was El and Casper," Barry said, the hyperactive Kryptonian dog and Kryptonian cat now behind him.
"Kara!" Cisco yelled out. He was waiting outside the house and the two left the building to join him, with their kids in hand and Kryptonian dog and cat following. "Up there…"
"What?" Kara moaned, looking up. Above she could see Static, aka Virgil Hawkins, blasting the Dementors; he was joined by Wonder Woman, Valor and a teenager who made Kara groan, glancing to Barry she bit her lip.
"Get the kids on the Waverider, Stalker. Junior, go get Caitlin and Harmony safe. I have a teenager to talk to," and before either could even nod their agreement, Kara had flew up joining the young man who wore a shirt with the familiar El symbol on it.
"Kara, I tried…" Mon started, seeing Kara had joined them, but she held out her hand to him as she used her heat vision to blow a few Dementors into smithereens.
"Kal-El, get your butt back down on the ground now!" Kara snapped, turning to the teenager who had been hitting one of the Dementors, Wonder Woman flying by to stab another just before it, too, attacked Kal.
"Kara! I…" Kal stated, but Kara flew forward, grabbing her young cousin and flying back down to the ground. The others of the Justice Society would keep the Dementors at bay. She could see the Monitor and Harbinger fighting as well, but she needed to have a word with her cousin. Kara folded her arms, glaring at the boy.
"What were you thinking?" Kara snapped at Kal. Barry, the kids, and Cisco were gone. Cisco probably had opened the portal to do as she requested the moment that she had left to get her cousin.
"But… I can help!" Kal stated pointing at the sky and the Dementors.
"I told you to watch my kids," Kara said, angry with her cousin. "I asked you to protect them. You left an almost three-year-old and two barely one-year olds alone. Only being taken care of by a dog and a cat."
"I needed to…." Kal started, pointing trying to explain to his cousin.
"I don't care. I was younger than you when I was handed a baby and told to protect him for the rest of my life. I took that seriously. I asked you to do it for a few hours as I took care of this and you couldn't," Kara snapped and Kal couldn't figure out a way to argue with that. A portal opened besides them.
"Kara, we got a plan, but if this fails we will need to go fast," it was New Justice Kara saying it over a com. "Time to get back on the Waverider. Your kids are here. So are Caitlin and her daughter."
"Come on Kal," Kara said, grabbing her cousin and going through the portal. Once they were in the familiar Waverider she let go of Kal's arm. "Go look after Griffin, Zane, and Zoey. And when this is over, when we hopefully get out of this alive, you will have a lot of farm work!"
"Yes Kara," Kal said, knowing he had disappointed his cousin and knowing not to argue as Zari reached out and led him to the makeshift day care in the ship.
"What exactly are we doing?" Mutant Kara asked.
"Two Waveriders, a lot of time energy," Sara said with a smile. "Everyone grab a seat. This will be a bumpy ride. Leonard, coordinate with the other Waverider's Gideon."
"Already on it," Leonard voice said as the Waverider moved.
-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-
"It won't work, you know," a new voice spoke and the Monitor looked to see Pariah was by his side. The Monitor had been doing as he was told and helping the heroes hold off the destruction as long as possible.
"What won't work?" the Monitor asked, turning to Pariah.
"Whatever they have planned," Pariah said.
"I know, but these people need hope," the Monitor told Pariah. The Monitor doubted whatever they had come up with would actually work, but if it helped weaken his alternate it would be worth it.
"Hope is fruitless," Pariah sighed. "I've seen a million worlds destroyed in seconds. I have seen numerous worlds try to fight back and nothing worked."
"But it did hurt him," the Monitor said, knowing that. Something one world had done had hurt him, maybe just a little, but enough the Anti-Monitor was not coming to fight him head on right now, like he did on Splitsville. He had, instead, sent his puppet. The Monitor also knew this was a game to get information from him.
"This is the last world before those Paragon's world," Pariah continued.
"Ah yes, the protected worlds," the Monitor smirked.
"What are your Paragons?" Pariah asked.
"They are not mine," the Monitor countered, "I didn't create them, but I will definitely use them. But what they are is not for you or the Anti-Monitor to know of," the Monitor stated simply. "And I think this conversation is over. Just know one thing, Pariah: He speaks a lot, but not all of it is true. The people you love, the people who love you, are still alive – for now, at least."
The Monitor could see the two Waveriders moving. They had some plan and the Monitor was curious to see what they would do. "Harbinger, back to the Waverider."
Pariah sighed to himself as he flew off to this place besides his new master, not even sure what to make of Monitor telling him that his loved ones were still alive, not even sure if it mattered. He was only the Anti-Monitor pet, with no choice but to follow his orders. The Anti-Monitor knew something about the Paragons, that they were part of the Monitor's plans, but what, how and why, he didn't know.
"Well?" the Anti-Monitor asked as Pariah joined by the self-proclaimed God's side.
"He didn't know their plans. It seems the heroes don't trust him. They use him as little more than an attack dog," Pariah said and Anti-Monitor laughed at that.
"What about the paragons?" Anti-Monitor said. The main reason he sent Pariah to talk to his double was to see if there was anything he could get about the Paragons. They were the only thing standing in his way of turning what was into what he needed it to be.
"Your double didn't say. He won't tell me," Pariah stated, truthfully. "All he did say was he didn't create them."
"Then who did?" the Anti-Monitor asked, pausing at this. He had been working under the assumption that his double had created the Paragons, but if they were not the work of him, then greater forces could be at work – like the Forces that had trapped him originally. Few things were beyond his reach, but the Seven Forces of the Universe did unnerve him.
"He did not say," Pariah confirmed.
"Well, it was only the first attempt… now, to replace this world with my vision," the Anti-Monitor smirked as he flew up, controlling the anti-matter and the shadow creatures surrounding the planet and this particular universe.
There was jet of blue light, aimed directly at the Anti-Monitor – the trap both Waveriders had set – but he waved off this time energy as he let the anti-matter consume the world, stopping the light as Mutant Earth became no more.
"And that's that," Pariah sighed, surrounded, once more, by the red swirls of anti-matter. "Another world gone. Seven more to go…"
"Yes," the Anti-Monitor smirked. "Seven more to go."

In the Vanishing Point, SuperEarth's Kara and New Justice's Rae had finished explaining what they'd learned through their bonds to their respective others and the group had fallen into silence, taking this all in.
"It's interesting," Karry Barry spoke up. "But how does it help us with rebooting the multiverse?"
"I suppose it lets us know exactly who our enemy is," Hero's Mon-El stated.
"His motives and means," Kingdom Come Clark added, nodding.
"It means we know who to fight and how," Rae stated, determined now as she went to grab the Speed Force book which she could interpret, opening it back to the page on Paragons.
"Right, so it says here that the Paragons have to perform some sort of blood ritual," Rae stated, reading this aloud from the book.
"Are you sure?" Prime Barry asked, sitting cross-legged on the floor, and watching the exchange while the other Paragons talked amongst themselves.
"That's what it says here," Rae stated, looking up at Prime Barry. "A blood ritual between themselves and Spectre."
"Your Oliver, yes," Karry Barry stated, writing this down on paper he had summoned from the Speed Force.
"I think all of this this needs more than a pen and paper," Karry Kara voiced, looking over her husband's shoulder now.
"You're right," Rae stated, standing as she concentrated on what she needed. A moment later, a white board appeared in front of them, with a selection of pens ready and waiting.
"Man, that is so cool," Prime Kara stated.
"I can do that too," Prime Barry stated, having learned the basics from what Rae had explained. He concentrated and a moment later, a tennis ball appeared in his hand.
"And what exactly are you going to do with a tennis ball?" Prime Kara now asked her husband, who reddened at this.
"Anyway," Rae stated, glancing bemusedly to Prime Barry before moving forward to grab one of the pens now to write on the board, "so, we have the Paragons, Spectre and a blood ritual," she stated, writing these on the board, grabbing the attention of the other Paragons, who moved closer now, intrigued.
-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-
On the world known as Beautiful Earth, it was already too late. The Anti-Monitor had come already. It was the first of the Paragon worlds he could reach.
"I shall make this one quick," the Anti-Monitor stated, looking down on the terror on the world below, but paused as he saw two streaks of lighting speeding up at him.
Barry and Rae of Beautiful knew that their speed could hold back the anti-matter, even Lena and Lex, their tech people, had figured this out – and so they were speeding up into the sky, using buildings to help propel them.
"Aim some lightning at that dude!" Barry called to his cousin as he focussed on knocking back a couple of the shadow creatures. Rae did as instructed, but it didn't even affect the Anti-Monitor as he sighed and blasted the speedsters with anti-matter, sending them both falling back to the Earth in shock.
"It always amuses me when I do that…" the Anti-Monitor chuckled as Pariah rolled his eyes.
Barry was caught by Kara while Rae was caught by Krypto, who on this world, had black fur and belonged to Kayla. With Kayla having gone off with the Paragons, Krypto had stayed with Kara, who herself had given up being a superhero in favor of Kayla, back when Mon had died, but she could not let Barry fall to his death. Krypto, the ever-loyal hero, had come out with Kara, taking hold of the extra speedster.
Flying back to Luthor Corp., Kara noted Caitlin, her sister Daphne, and her twin daughters Ruby and Marley looking upset, and moved instantly to her own son, Topar to hug him.
"It's too late," Lena Luthor stated, looking at the sky as Krypto came in with Rae and then went to his own mate Roxie.
"I just hope whatever Kayla was taken from us for was worth it," Lex stated sadly.
"It was," Kara stated. "I have faith in my sister."
"As do I," Barry moaned, gaining consciousness. "She's never let us down before."
"You did your best," Kara added quickly, turning to her boyfriend to kiss him, still hugging on to Topar as this world, too, was consumed by anti-matter.
-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earth-
Back in the Vanishing Point, Rae had just finished writing the important points on the Paragons upon her summoned white board for the others when Beautiful's Kayla let out a gasp of shock and pain. SuperEarth's Kara was closest to her to grab her in support.
"What happened?" SuperEarth Kara asked, noticing tears suddenly falling down Kayla's face.
"She's… she's dead," Kayla stated.
"Who? What?" Prime Kara moved forward at this, confused.
"I have a bond with my sister back on my world and… she's gone," Kayla moaned. She had never in her life been without Kara in her head. Even here she had felt Kara's presence, even if she could not actually hear her. It was lonely and hollow. This time Kingdom Come's Clark moved forward to Kayla.
"Your heart just broke," Clark stated sympathetically, moving to hug Kayla, who had no words as the rest of the group looked to one another in shock. He alone knew what she was feeling as his heart, too, broke when he'd lost his bonded many years ago.
"Beautiful is a Paragon world," Karry Barry said slowly. "If it's gone..."
"It means the Anti-Monitor has reached our worlds," Karry Kara finished for her husband. "Whatever they are doing out there is not enough."
"More the reason to learn what we can from this book," Rae spoke up. "If we're the back up system, we can bring the worlds back, right? Including your Kara," she stated to the crying Kayla. SuperEarth's Kara however had to pause at this – she, Rae, and Kayla were the only ones here who had a bond with someone not in this place… when her Barry died due to Crisis… she didn't want to think about it.
"I'll help," Karry Barry stated to his Rae, who raised an eyebrow at this, going to grab another white board marker now.
"No offense, but you'll probably be more a hindrance than a help," Rae stated, not yet realizing she too would feel the affects of a bonded one's death soon enough.
Post Chapter Note: Who else realized that just because they're away from it, the Paragons are still going to be affected by Crisis? And now with two more worlds gone, that's six left. So, if it wasn't bad before, it is now.
Please REVIEW.
Karry Master and Beta OUT!
