Chapter 2: Late Night

Sakura looks at her messages on her computer. She stares at it very long and hard. Little Wolf had not messaged her for a few days. Perhaps this pen pal thing is stupid. She heard a beep, and looked at her computer again. She still didn't see anything on her computer screen. She felt something that seemed like disappointment. She thought, "I shouldn't feel disappointed. We are just pen pals. We barely know each other."

She thought "where did that beep come from then?" She looked around and saw her phone nearby. She pulled it out and looked at it. She had just received a message from Tomoyo.

Tomoyo messaged her," there is a party going to be happening nearby your house." Sakura sighs, and looks at her computer. He hadn't contacted her for a few days. He must have forgotten me. She texts back to her friend, "I will meet you there."

Tomoyo messages, " Haha, you should come to my house. I have a dress for you to wear for tonight. See you soon."

Sakura squints at her phone, and sighs. She looks outside and then looks at her computer and turns it off. Perhaps, he will not be online tonight anyways. She packs up a few items to take with her and leaves her room.

Syaoran had a busy few days reading and learning the business from this mother. He often go out to orphanages and donate charity to them. He also had to attend events and meet the current shareholders and potential business clients. When he came home he would start on his homework. He forgot a few days to message Ying Fa. But they are just pen pals anyways. He didn't think she would be waiting for him everyday. He was about to fall asleep, when there was knock on his door.

Syaoran was quiet surprised that someone knocked on his door. Syaoran gets up from his bed and opens his door. He was surprised, it was his mother. "Mother?"

"Xiaolang, I need you to get in contact with Eriol. I couldn't get a hold of your Uncle and Aunt. Its i regards to our family gathering. I hope you could reach out to him?" she asked.

Syaoran looked at his phone. He hadn't contact Eriol for years. He didn't think Eriol would still have the same phone number. "I'm not sure if he will pick up or if he has changed his phone number?"

Yelan looked disappointed.

"Mother, I will try. Let me contact him. I will let you know in the morning if I get a hold of him. You should get some more sleep." Syaoran said.

Yelan looks at him says, "Xiaolang you have grown so quick. You are always thinking of me first."

Syaoran blushes and turns away and starts to dial Eriol number. Yelan turns to leave his room and closes the door.

Syaoran called a few times before someone answers the phone. He could only hear loud music and lots of people talking and laughing. Syaoran looks at his phone in wrinkles his eyebrows. He knew getting ahold of Eriol was difficult. But he had to try.

"Hello, Eriol speaking." the person on the phone spoke.

Syaoran couldn't believe Eriol kept the same phone number all these years. Syaoran chuckles.

"Hello, Eriol this Li Syaoran. My mother has been trying to get ahold of your parents."

"Li Syaoran. I haven't heard that name in years. My parents are currently out in the sea and the reception is not good. I will mention that Auntie Li is trying to contact them. How have yo-"

Syaoran heard a loud thump. "Eriol, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to push you" a sweet girl's voice said.

"Sakura, you should be very careful and not get pushed around." Syaoran heard Eriol said.

"Eriol, you're so kind. Tomoyo has been looking for you." the girl said.

"Hello, Syaoran, I'm sorry I have to go now. You should add me on my online profile. We will catch up next time." Eriol said quickly.

"Now that you mention that, I will visit you during winter break. That should be in a few weeks." Syaoran said.

"Well, I look forward to seeing you soon then. I have to go now." Eriol responded.

Syaoran head a dial tone. He looks at his phone in disbelief. He sighs and looks at the time. It is pretty early to head to bed. He turns to look at his computer. Perhaps, Ying Fa is online. He might as well as look at Eriol's online profile.

He looks to see if Ying Fa was on. He just saw last online 2 hours ago. He didn't see any messages from her. He sighs, I suppose I should apologize for not coming online for few days.

Profile Little Wolf

Hello Ying Fa,

I want to apologize to you. I have not been a good friend and have not been online for a while. I hope you still treat me as your good friend still. I hope you are doing well. I will be meeting my cousin soon in another country. I wanted to know if you have ever gone to another country before? I hope to hear from you soon.

Syaoran looks at his message before he sends it out. "I hope she isn't mad", he thought. He thought about the girl's voice on the phone. Her voice had sounded soothing when she spoke on the phone. Perhaps this girl was another one of the girls Eriol had chasing him. Syaoran shakes his head. He needs to focus. He clicks the search button to look up Eriol's profile. He sees a new picture recently. There was a picture of two girls next to Eriol. One of the girls was breathtaking. She has the most beautiful emerald green eyes. She wore a pale pink dress with black lace on the top that reached halfway to her knees. Her hair was half up and down with curls at the end. She was smiling at the camera. He felt his heart tighten. He coughed a little and got up from his chair to get a glass of water. He didn't know why he had suddenly felt his heart tighten. He came back to his computer with his water. He looked back at the emerald eye girl. He thought to himself, "She is very beautiful" before he turned off the computer.

Sakura went to Tomoyo and had her put on the pale pink dress with lace on top. "Tomoyo is this really necessary?" Sakura asked.

Tomoyo's eyes glistened with happiness, "Sakura, you know this is necessary! I just feel so happy that you're wearing the clothes I made for you."

Sakura sweats a little and takes the dress with her to change.

Tomoyo tells Sakura through the door that Eriol will pick them up and take them to the party. Sakura smooths the dress and fixes her hair. Sakura sighs, "I hope Little Wolf is having a good night today." she thought.

There was a knock on the door, "Sakura come on out. Eriol is here and I want to take pictures and post them online. You look so beautiful!" she said excitedly.

Sakura chuckles and takes one more look in the mirror. She opens the door and comes outside from the room. Tomoyo smiles at Sakura and takes her hand. She takes Sakura downstairs. Sakura sees Eriol is downstairs drinking a cup of tea. Eriol briefly looks at Sakura and then looks at Tomoyo and smiles at her.

"Doesn't Sakura look so beautiful?" exclaimed Tomoyo.

"She does look pretty, but you Tomoyo look beautiful tonight." says Eriol.

Tomoyo turns around and looks at Sakura with her face beet red.

Sakura laughs and takes Tomoyo's hand and brings it to Eriol. "I hope you can take good care of my friend tonight Eriol" teased Sakura.

"SAKURA!" exclaimed Tomoyo.

Eriol and Sakura burst out in laughter.

"We should probably go now. We are already fashionably late." Eriol teased.

They walked out to Eriol's car. He opened the passenger front seat. He was waiting for someone to come.

"Tomoyo you should sit in the front, I don't mind sitting in the back." Sakura said innocently.

Eriol chuckles. Tomoyo's face is beet red with embarrassment. She walks to the front and when she gets in she gives a stern glare to Sakura. Eriol gets in the driver's seat and Tomoyo smiles at him. She secretly gives Sakura a voice message to her head that she will regret doing this to her. Sakura sends back a message to Tomoyo that she enjoys it.

Eriol looked at them and asked, "Is something the matter?"

Tomoyo looks at Eriol and smiles, "No, I just remember to remember this night."

Sakura chuckles.

They arrive at the party and see a lot of Juniors and Seniors at the party. Sakura saw one of the senior she had a crush on come towards her. "Tomoyo! Kei is coming over!" Whispers Sakura excitedly.

Tomoyo chuckles at Sakura. "Sakura, all the boys are looking at you. Kei isn't the only one"

Sakura looks surprised. Kei walks up to Sakura.

"Hi, Sakura." Kei casually said.

"H-hi Kei." Sakura said timidly.

Kei looks at Sakura and starts to chat with her. Sakura starts to feel self conscious as Kei continues to stare at her.

"Can you not stare at me." Sakura said

"I'm sorry Sakura, its just you look very beautiful tonight." Kei said

"Thank you, Kei. But I don't think Mayumi will think so kindly of these words." Sakura said as she saw Mayumi giving her death glare.

"Mayumi?" Kei said. He turns around and follows Sakura gaze behind him. He chuckles.

"Oh, Mayumi. We dated before, but we recently broke up. She broke up with me last week."

Sakura nods her head. "I don't want to be trouble for you. I just don't like how Mayumi is staring at me. I'm going to look for Tomoyo" Sakura turn around and walks alway from Kei.

Mayumi walks up to Kei. "Kei! You were getting too close to her!" she exclaimed.

Kei rolls his eyes at Mayumi. "Mayumi, you know why we broke up." he said casually.

Mayumi glares at Kei. "I know why we broke up, you cheated on me with my best friend."

Kei evilly smiles, "Then you should know to back off then."

Mayumi smiles at Kei, "I wonder how Sakura would think of that?"

Kei glares at Mayumi. He grabs her wrists and whispers something in her ear. Mayumi's face pales. She turns around and for her friends not a glance back.

Kei pickups a napkin and wipes his hands clean from touching Mayumi. He looks around to see where Sakura went too. He heard someone apologizing to a new kid in the Junior class. Kei squinted at him and smiles. "Interesting"

Sakura kept saying apologizing to Eriol. Eriol pickup his phone and said he looks forward to see someone. Sakura feels nervous. She hoped that wasn't Eriol girlfriend.

"I'm sorry did I disturb your call with your girlfriend?" Sakura asked nervously.

"Girlfriend?" Eriol repeated. He laughs at what Sakura just said. "That was my male cousin. He will be visiting me during our winter break. I look forward to see him. I haven't seen him for years."

Sakura sighs in relief. "Tomoyo told me she was looking for you. She said she was feeling tired and wanted to go soon?"

Eriol thinks for a moment, "I will help you look for her."

They went off to look for Tomoyo.

Tomoyo was feeling a little dizzy from a water bottle she drank. She went outside to catch some fresh air. She stumbled coming back inside. Someone yanked her into a room. She fell on the ground from the impact. Tomoyo looks up and sees a blur. She squints her eyes to see if her vision would come back.

"Tomoyo. Tomoyo. Tomoyo. I had been watching you for a while." the stranger said.

"Who are you?" Tomoyo said.

"Tomoyo? I'm surprised you do not know me? I am indeed one of the best soccer players at our school." he said as he gripped her chin.

He came closer and closer to her face and Tomoyo recognized his face.

"J-Jin what are you doing?" Tomoyo whispered in fear.

"Well. Since I can't get Sakura, I might as well as get you." He laughs.

He reaches her top of her dress and rips the top off her shoulder. Tomoyo slaps Jin in the face. "Stop this!"

Jin grabs his face as it bleeds from Tomoyo's slap. "You will regret that." He said as he stared down at her.

Tomoyo inches away from him and accidentally stumbles on a bed. Jin chuckles as she keeps stumbling.

"You must be thinking why are you a klutz tonight?" He said.

Tomoyo looks up at him.

"That's because I gave you a drugged water bottle." He admitted. "But you will not remember tonight or me." he smiles evilly at her.

He bends down and grabs her hands and put it above so she could not move. Tomoyo tries to move around.

"Keep moving around and I will not be able to control myself." he breaths in Tomoyo's scent.

Tomoyo is disgusted by Jin. She starts screaming for help.

"Tomoyo. Tomoyo. You can scream but no one will be helping you." he whispers as he start to trail his finger on her neck.

"Did anyone ever tell you that you have a beautiful neck?" he said. He was inching closer and closer as Tomoyo started to cry.

Suddenly, the door busted open. Someone kicked Jin to the ground and started to punch him on his face.

"ERIOL! STOP YOUR GOING TO KILL HIM?!" A girl called out.

"SAKURA!" Eriol cried out.

"Right now, Tomoyo needs us." Sakura said worriedly.

Eriol looks at Tomoyo. Her face is pale. She tries to stand but fainted from the shock. Eriol looks at Jin one more time and punches him again. He grabs his jacket and pull it over Tomoyo.

He whispers to Tomoyo. "I'm sorry." He picks her up bridal style. He walks out with Tomoyo and takes her out and says to everyone he is sorry but Tomoyo is very exhausted and needs to rest. Sakura looks a Jin with disgust. Sakura couldn't believe this guy is friends with Kei, who is a nice guy. She scurries away to follow Eriol.
