Sharon was writing her report in her office on Sargent Gabriel when Andy appeared in the doorway of her office.
"I told you the two of you would be like oil and water." He smiled leaning against her door jam.
"What can I do for you, Lieutenant?" Sharon barely glanced up at him over her glasses as she wrote. "I'm a little busy."
"Are you almost done?" Andy asked with a smugness in his voice.
Sharon heard the door shut and lock. She chose not to react. She could see him out of the corner of her eye walking closer.
"I could get done faster if you weren't bothering me." She pursed her lips together in a thin line.
"I'll wait quietly." He set down in a chair across from her.
Sharon took her time writing all the details in the report about the case and the suspect's character. She made sure to be thorough to make him wait longer.
Sharon could feel his eyes on her the whole time. On the surface it irritated her, but deep down she felt a little excitement.
Just when she was about to finish the conclusion of her investigation, he stood rounding the corner of her desk.
"You can't read this." Sharon objected as he stood behind her.
"I won't." He placed his hands on her shoulders. "Just keep writing."
Sharon glanced up at him seeing his eyes were closed and continued to write. He began to rub the tense muscles along the base of her neck and shoulders.
Sharon bit her lip to suppress a moan. His hands on her took her back to just a few mouths ago. His hands, mouth, and body on her the night of the softball game and then again the next day in the supply closet.
Sharon pushed those memories aside to finish her report.
It turned out twice as long as a normal one but it was worth the massage he was doing on her shoulders.
"All done." Sharon closed the file and placed it in the rack to go out tomorrow morning for Chief Pope to review. "Now what can I do for you, Lieutenant?"
"Would you like to go to a Dodger's game with me?" Andy asked still massaging her neck.
"Andy," Sharon sighed swatting his hands away. She swiveled her chair to face him. "I've told you it's against the LAPD policy . . ."
"I know, I know." He placed his hands on her desk. His face just a few inches away. "I've stayed away from you. It's been killing me. This case with Gabriel was like a test and I think I did a really good job of pretending to hate you."
"You did." Sharon cracked a smile. She'd almost believed him.
"So then who's really going to believe we're hanging out outside of work?" He asked his face full of excitement as if he'd just solved the biggest case of his life. "Who's ever going to believe your breaking the rules with guy like me?"
"So, you're like the star football player," Sharon raised a brow. "And I'm the nerd who's just lucky you're showing her any attention?"
"Oh no, Baby," He smiled shaking his head. "You're definitely the hot cheerleader and I'm the bad boy who drives a motorcycle to school. I'm lucky you've given me the slightest glance."
"You don't even own a motorcycle." Sharon laughed. "But I was a cheerleader in high school."
"I used to own one. Point is. They'll never suspect us." He shrugged then leaned closer. "Come on. Come to the game?"
"No." Sharon crossed her arms. Her's brain was sending her all the bells and whistles that this was a bad idea.
"Sharon," He whispered so close to her lips. He pulled a ticket out of his pocket and placed it on the desk. "Come with me, please."
Sharon knew she was going to cave in because the rest of her body out voted her brain. Her heartbeat quickened at the sight of him, the butterflies swarmed in her stomach when she heard his voice, and her core heated every time he touched her.
"Fine." She smiled at the joy in his eyes. He went to kiss her but she pushed him back and stood gathering her purse and blazer. She tucked the ticket in her purse. "I'll meet you at the game tomorrow. If someone sees us there we can pretend we just ran into each other."
"Okay." He caught her before she could walk past her. His hands rested on her hips. "Make sure you pack a bag."
"For the baseball game?" She asked already knowing what he wanted.
"No," He shook his head and ran a finger down her neck trailing it to the opening in her blouse then pulled away. "I want you in my bed. All night long."
"So we're doing this?" Sharon smiled.
"Oh yeah." He looked like he'd just won the jackpot. "We're doing this."
"Then I need you to know how serious this is." She put her hands on his chest. "I'm not asking for a commitment or a confession of love, but I can't throw my career away to be one of your conquests."
"You're so much more then a conquest." He assured her cupping her face with both hands. "I don't know what or where this thing is going, but I respect your need for secrecy."
"Plus you don't want every one to know you're sleeping with the Ice Queen." She played with his tie.
"Baby, I'd shout it from the roof top," He looked at her with sincerity. "If you'd let me, but I know the consequences if we get caught."
"Thank you." Sharon rewarded him with a kiss then pulled away before it got too heated. "I'll see you tomorrow. Now you have to go."
"Okay, okay." He smiled as she ushered him towards the door.
He unlocked it and stepped out seeing Sargent Elliot walking towards the office. Elliot stopped in his tracks giving Andy a strange look.
"The next time you come down her trying to intimidate me," Sharon stepped out of her office behind him with her finger pointed at him. "I'm going to report you to Chief Pope."
"Screw you." Andy rolled his eyes at putting on a show adding as much anger in his voice as possible. "Keep that finger out of my face or I'll . . ."
"You'll what?" Sharon crossed her arms raising a brow. "Careful Lieutenant, you're close to threatening an IA officer."
"Go to hell." He turned away from her and headed for the elevator. "Bitch."
Sharon could see the smile playing on his lips when the doors opened and he stepped inside turning to her.
"Everything okay, Captain?" Sargent Elliot asked.
"Yes," Sharon nodded shutting her office door. "He's just a hot head."
"Always has been." Elliot nodded. "You headed home?"
"Yes." Sharon smiled.
"Me too." Elliot walked her to the elevator. "Any plans for the weekends, Captain?"
"I'm thinking about catching a Dodger's game tomorrow." She pushed the button. "I haven't been to one since Ricky moved away."
"Going alone?" He asked surprised. They stepped into the elevator.
"I might meet a friend there if she can make it."
"Sounds good." Elliot left it at that and changed the subject. "I'll walk you to your car just in case he decides to try anything else."
"Thank you, Sargent Elliot." Sharon smiled at his concern.
