Mai Sakurajima was not having a good day. Two years and several months ago she announced the beginning of her hiatus. She was trying to get back at her mother who forced her to wear a swimsuit just so she could make money off of her. She was a mere middle-school student at the time!

She decided to attend high school after her hiatus announcement. However, because of work commitments made prior to her decision to go on hiatus she wasn't able to attend school until halfway through her first year. By then, social circles had formed, making her the "odd one out" causing her to be isolated.

As a result, the student body didn't know how to deal with her. While they had no reason to bully her, they also feared associating with her would cause them to be isolated as well.

Unknowingly, these events along with her previous wish to be forgotten by the world as a result of being forced to do a swim-suit photoshoot by her mother have caused a severe emotional disturbance in her which caused some effects that she's been starting to notice.

It started a couple of days ago when she went to the aquarium. When she went there she expected people to recognize her immediately.

But that never happened.

It was like no one knew she was there at all.

At first, she thought people didn't notice her since they were probably just interested in the aquatic animals. So she didn't think much of it.

It was when she went to the café near her apartment that she started to notice. When she tried to ask a waiter nearby for a table he responded. It's like he never acknowledged her existence.

But after returning to her apartment complex everyone immediately recognized her.

The next day, barely anyone in her apartment complex recognized her. It's like they forgot about her. As the days go by, more and more people forget her existence; she had been subconsciously forgotten by nearly everybody now.

So what did she decide to do? She decided to go in public wearing a lewd bunny costume to see if anyone would notice her. So far, no one recognized her. No glance. No second take. Nothing.

Seeing the Fujisawa Library nearby, Mai decided to try her luck in there. She walked around the library, trying to see if anyone would notice her. Not one person noticed her. She went in front of a lady on a chair reading a book and waved her hand in front of her but got no reaction. She walked next to a man reading a book and looked over his shoulder. Still no reaction.

Mai sighed. No one seemed to notice her. She turned to the door to exit the library but stopped when she saw someone out of the corner of her eye reading a book. He had red hair, which was quite rare and odd around here. He seemed to be around her age. He wore some kind of red coat. Over the coat, he had a grey vest held in place by a single strap over his left shoulder.

He had a lot of books stacked next to him. Maybe he was a student studying for something? But she never saw someone like him before.

She started walking up to him. One last try couldn't hurt. Besides, what are the chances of him being able to see her?

(BREAK)

Gaara could be considered a genius by some. At around 15 years old, Gaara would become Suna's Fifth Kazekage. He was the youngest Kage to ever be elected. He had worked hard to get where he was to gain his village's trust. During that time, Gaara had shut himself into studying to increase his intelligence since being a Kage required not only strength but knowledge as well.

Studying and reading in those two years to become kazekage had increased his intelligence phenomenally and his ability to read faster and more efficiently. Since he didn't need to sleep at all, he could read all he'd like.

Occasionally Shukaku would talk to him as he read, but it wasn't too bad. That reminded him, he never got to thank Shukaku for answering his questions the night before. He was blasted out of his mindscape before that could happen.

Anyway, he learned some pretty important things during his research. The obvious is that he's not in his world. There wasn't a single thing that mentioned the elemental nations or anything related to it.

Right now, he was in a place called Japan. The town he was in was Fujisawa. Apparently, technology was more advanced here. They had something called the internet and computers here. Gaara had actually used the library computer a couple of hours ago when he read about it. It was confusing at first, but the librarian was really nice and helped him try to use it when he said he didn't know how to use a computer. After an hour of messing around, he got the hang of it. He could successfully use the internet now, which had a vast amount of information that helped him.

Unfortunately, he still had a couple of things to worry about. The main problem was how he was going to get back home. He'd work on that later. The other problem is that he nothing with him. He had no records here. No money. Nothing.

Money wasn't a problem. For the time being, he was planning on working somewhere. He found a job online that would do. A family restaurant in Fujisawa named Benny's was looking for some waiters or waitresses. No education was required, people's skills were only needed.

Perfect. He was a kazekage. He had interacted with almost everyone in his village. That was part of his job. During that time he had also given speeches from time to time and went to meetings with people occasionally.

The next thing is his personal records. He didn't have his ninja ID with him, and he'd doubt that'd be of any use here. So, he planned to forge his own documents. That wouldn't be too hard. Contrary to popular belief, he actually knew genjutsu. Most people thought he didn't use genjutsu at all. But he had no reason to. He wasn't a master at genjutsu, but this was a simple paper thing. It shouldn't be all too difficult.

Gaara closed his eyes as he leaned back on his chair while placing his hands on his lap. Exhaling out softly while he thought about what his alibi would be. He could claim to be a transfer student moving from some other country to have a better opportunity with education. Yes, that could work. There were a lot of benefits if went to a school. Fujisawa High School wasn't too far from here. Maybe he could apply to study there.

Gaara was brought out of his thoughts when he sensed someone coming near him. Well, sense wouldn't be a good word. More like he heard steps coming closer to him. The library was quiet, so it easy to hear.

Coming up to his table was a girl around his age with waist-length black hair that has bangs hanging on the left side. She was fairly tall for a girl here. If he had to guess, she was probably around 160 to 170 centimeters tall.

But the main thing that was to be noticed was that she was wearing some kind of bunny costume. Not that it mattered to him. He wasn't the type to be affected by any sexual things. He was just curious as to why someone would dress up like that in the public. Not that he's judging her.

The girl in question walked up to him and stared into his eyes. Gaara stared right back. Pale blue-green eyes met blue-purple eyes. They continued to stare at each other before the bunny girl paced back and forth, not leaving her eyes off of him.

Gaara kept his gaze on her as she moved back and forth a couple of times before stopping in front of him again. They stared at each other before the girl spoke.

"You can see me?"

Gaara blinked. He wasn't expecting that response.

"I'm sorry, what?"
