Chapter 2
That morning, Tae woke up feeling like a zombie. He needed something to wake him up so he could even make it through his classes, much less a session with him. What is Tae supposed to do with someone who makes beats? What type of beats does he even make? … What if Taehyung can't impress him? Damn, Taehyung's anxiety might actually keep him awake instead. He sighed and got up and went over to get ready for the day. He parted his hair so it was out of his eyes and put on his usual ripped jeans. He knew they made his ass look great, so they were a great choice. He topped it off with a white shirt, simple, but if you looked close enough you could almost see through it.
Tae grabbed a granola bar and headed out towards his art classes. Today they were going to start painting so he was excited. It helped to momentarily relieve some of the anxiety he was feeling. When he got to class, they jumped straight into a warm up exercise of gesture drawing. Then they started painting and Taehyung felt his worries melt away. It was both soothing and relaxing. It also ended much too soon. As he was putting away his supplies some of his worries began to come back. He had to go face Yoongi after he masturbated to the thought of him. He hasn't even known him for long, for all he knew Yoongi wasn't into any of that stuff. Or into him for that matter. Tae sighed and began walking towards the music building for their class together. Yoongi was already in his seat. He was wearing black jeans with a black shirt and a leather jacket. Tae had to try really hard not to stare at him for too long. He looked hot as fuck.
He pushed his shoulders back and took a deep breath. He could do this. Flashing one of his boxy smiles at Yoongi he said," Hey hyung! How's it going?" Tae was proud he didn't stutter. Yoongi looked over at him and laughed lightly, "Hello Taehyung. We still good to meet up after class?" Even though Tae kind of wanted to say no, mostly just from being nervous, he nodded and confirmed he would be there. The teacher walked in then and launched into a lecture about some type of production. He honestly wasn't too sure what she was talking about. He was too aware of Yoongi sitting beside him, but he took as many notes as he could. He could always review them later. It felt like the hour went by way too slow, but the class was finally over.
"Hey, you can follow me; the studio is this way." Yoongi said as he gathered his things and began walking towards the door. "Oh okay, yeah let's go." Yoongi gave him a weird look at this but kept walking. Tae followed him silently, he couldn't help but notice that there were less and less people the further they went. Yoongi stopped at this door and pulled out a key to unlock the door. Great. They would have privacy.
You know what? Taehyung could focus on the project and that's what he would do. He was going to push all bad thoughts out of his head. "Okay, here's the packet, looks like we have to produce a song together. Where do you usually start? I've never actually tried writing a song, let alone produce one." He didn't realize he mumbled this while looking down at his feet and walking into the room.
Yoongi was already grabbing a seat at the computer. "You know, you have to talk to someone if you want an answer, Taehyung," Yoongi says flippantly. Tae's cheeks set on fire as he looked up. Tae waited for Yoongi to answer him, but he didn't. Instead, he stared with that intense look. With a smirk, Yoongi says again, "Talk to me." This sounded like an order and Tae's mind flashed to his dream. "Um... well… I've never made a song before and I don't know where to start," Taehyung admitted meekly. He was not proud of how he just sounded, but Yoongi seemed to like it from how his smirk grew. "Well, I've produced plenty of songs, so you're working with a master."
The word master rolled off his tongue like liquid gold and like something he said often, but maybe this was just all in Taehyung's head. Maybe Taehyung was all in his head. He stood there silently for a second until he snapped out of it. He was sure by now his cheeks were too red to go unnoticed even in the dark lighting of the music studio. "So, what type of music do you usually make?" he asks, voice a little stronger.
Yoongi answered, "Mostly rap for myself and my friends, but-" before Yoongi could finish, Taehyung made a face. "I am not rapping. Do you look like I can rap? I mean, the music is fun enough, but not for me," he inserts. Yoongi shot him a glare so dark that Taehyung wanted to swallow his tongue. "Did you interrupt your Hyung? I never pegged you to be the rude type, Taehyung." Before he finished, he continued to glare. "Now, as I was going to say, beats are very diverse, so I can produce around your talents. So, what are you into, Princess?"
"Well, Yoongi-shi, I like to sing, but I'm not a rapper. So, we will have to compromise there." Tae realized he was being a brat, but if Yoongi wanted to play that game then Tae would play that fucking game. He could see Yoongi's eyes go dark again. But he didn't say anything to him about being so formal with his name. They continued to work silently. Yoongi started to write furiously on his note paper, Tae thought he was song writing?
"Is there something I can do here? Or are you going to be all quiet now?" Tae wasn't sure what exactly came over him, but he was going to annoy Yoongi for attention at this point. "Honestly, if you let me do the writing then you can do the singing which will split the work up pretty evenly. You'll need to trust me. Can you do that Taehyung?" Tae felt himself flushing again, why was he this way? There was no way Yoongi couldn't see how he was reacting to everything he said. He swore it was almost on purpose. Taehyung took a deep breath and said, "Yes, hyung." Tae felt his face flush as Yoongi smirked over at him. "Good. Now let's go over styles and figure out what will work best for us as a pair.
Yoongi launched into the topic of different music styles and what Tae liked to listen to and what he liked to sing. He loved singing to softer songs, and it worked really well for his deep voice. Before he knew it they had been working for well over an hour and Yoongi had started writing out notes to try. He learned that Yoongi was an amazing piano player. There was a keyboard in the studio that he played some notes on. "Hyung, one day you should play for me." he chuckled and nodded, "Okay brat, I will. Do you work tonight?" That threw him off for a second. "No today I'm off. I'm usually off every Tuesday and Thursday." "Would you like to make those days our meet up days for the project?" This would give Tae time to figure out how to seduce him. How could he not with all that alone time? Tae tried to keep his mind out of the gutter, it was hard though. "Yeah, that sounds good." He moved a little closer to Yoongi not realizing he had done so.
"Do you have anything to do now? If not, we could go get some dinner?" Yoongi asked suddenly after hearing Taehyung's stomach rumble. Taehyung thought about all the bills he had for school and his little apartment and shook his head. "Sorry, Hyung, I can't. I've gotta buy the music book for this semester. Why is this book even $250? Who even wrote this? Bach?" Taehyung pouted at the thought.
Yoongi chucked. "I think it was someone called 'Min So and So." Taehyung dramatically flopped onto the sofa in the studio. "Well tell them that it's too expensive!" he exclaimed. When he looked up to Yoongi because he was silent, he noticed that Yoongi had that mysterious, dark look on his face. If Tae wanted to fool himself, he could tell himself it was lust.
"Duly noted." Yoongi said, once again staring with that fiery look. "Don't worry 'bout that. Hyung knows somebody at this place. He'll take care of us." Once again, Yoongi left no room for Taehyung to say no, but Taehyung never liked to be easy. He wanted to make Yoongi beg for his time, he wanted to make him need to see him. But gosh did Taehyung want to go. "Hyung, are you flirting with me?" Tae decided to be cheeky. This was a risk, but he somehow knew it would push his buttons. Yoongi froze and stared at Taehyung intently. "Do you want me to flirt with you?" Well fuck. He made himself answer before he chickened out, "Y-yes.". There was a dark glint in Yoongi's eyes, "Then let's go get some food." He got up and started walking towards the door.
Tae felt frozen on the sofa. He almost didn't get up, but Yoongi still had that look on his face. He got up and followed him out the door. They walked down the street until they came to the school parking lot where Yoongi walked over to a shiny black motorcycle. He started to pull helmets and Tae felt the panic in his chest looking at that thing. No way was Yoongi getting him on that thin "Whoa, whoa. You expect me to get on that thing?", Tae exclaimed while he stared at the bike like it might jump up and throw hands at him. Yoongi looked up at him, raising an eyebrow, "What? Are you scared?", Tae didn't like to be challenged so he puffed his chest out and said, "No, of course not!" he walked over to the bike and the helmet that was offered to him. He put it on and Yoongi reached up to grip his face between his fingers. He moved Tae's face so he was staring Yoongi in the eyes, "Gotta make sure this is tightly strapped so you stay safe." He buckled the straps and tightened them. Tae felt heat surge through him. There was no way this was happening. All too soon it was over and Yoongi climbed onto the bike, he looked back at him looking satisfied, "You coming?" Tae shook his head to snap himself out of his stupor. "Yeah, yep let's go." He got on the bike and scooted up towards Yoongi and wrapped his arms around his waist. "Unless you wanna fall before we leave the parking lot, I suggest you move closer and hold tighter," Yoongi stated. He felt like he was going to explode from the closeness of their bodies. Then fear took over as Yoongi revved the engine and took off. He screeched and could feel Yoongi laughing at him.
Taehyung gripped him tightly as they drove down the streets. All of sudden, he heard a voice come through the helmet. "You holding on?" he heard. Taehyung screeches again from freight. Yoongi laughed again. "Do you always scare the people you're interested in?" he asked, voice breaking several times. "Nah., I didn't think about dinner til' you started writhing around on the couch, like…" he chuckled darkly.
"Like what?" Tae demanded, fully ready to lash out. "Like you know how you looked doing it." Yoongi responded. Taehyung pouted, still not liking that answer. "For that, hyung. I want extra meat on the barbecue." Yoongi just laughed again. The rest of the ride was mostly silent, with Tae's nervous screams here and there as Yoongi swung the bike through traffic.
When they arrived there, Taehyung gasped. "Hyung!" He stared at the place astounded. "You didn't tell me we were going to one of the top barbecue places in Seoul?" he gasped. Yoongi laughed. "I told you, I know somebody here. He always cuts me a good deal; I tip him good. We work well together," Yoongi explained. Taehyung continued to gag in disbelief. "You gonna take your meal outside, or are you coming in princess?" he challenged again. He couldn't tell if he liked the nickname or not. It almost embarrassed him, but that only served to make him feel heated. He followed Yoongi inside the restaurant. The hostess recognized Yoongi immediately. He hated to admit that she was cute, and she had big heart eyes for Yoongi.
He tried not to glare. He didn't know the girl and he was sure she was nice. Then one of the most beautiful people walked up to them. He was tall with dark hair and wide shoulders. "Yoongi! How's my favorite grumpy little marshmallow doing?" Okay, that shit was funny. Tae was trying so hard not to laugh when the tall handsome man noticed him, "Oh you brought a friend, a cute one. Introduce me."
Yoongi made the most animated face Taehyung has ever seen on him. He scowled deeply before replying, "Don't ever refer to me like that again or your body will never be found. There's a lot of deep bodies of water in Korea. And next, I'll introduce you when I feel like it. I make the orders." Yoongi answered.
"Yah!" The other boy exclaimed, startling Taehyung. "Don't get all bossy with me. I'm your hyung. Don't forget who practically raised you! Now, you want the regular sides, but what do you want, cutie?" Jin asked. Tae blushed at all the attention he was getting from both cute boys. "Um, rice, Japchae, tteokbokki… and for the meat can I get-" Yoongi cuts him off swiftly. "Don't worry about that. We've got that covered." Tae's mouth was watering. "Ok then, that's it for me," he concluded. "Add on a salad as well so that he gets enough nutrients from this meal," Yoongi orders. Jin nodded and walked away, shooting Yoongi the evil eye, which he returned.
"A salad?" Tae asked brattily. Yoongi just shrugged with a blank face. "Well, it's hard to afford fresh vegetables and good meats when you've got other shit to pay for so I wanted to make sure I covered those bases." He admitted. Fuck. Taehyung was flattered that Yoongi thought about him that way, but he didn't want to let him show how affected he was. He had to change the topic and fast.
"So, you said you don't normally try to kill your dates on that death trap of a bike, so what do you usually drive around on?" Taehyung asked, half snarky, half flirty. Yoongi chuckled. "Are you trying to ride it and find out?" he flirted back. Tae rolled his eyes at the double entendre and shook his head. "It'll take more than a nice dinner to find out," he replied. The truth was, Tae did want to, but if he let Yoongi win, he would be losing more than just his pants.
Jin came back to the table with their side dishes and dropped them off in front of them. He stood at the table expectantly with a hand on his hip. He glared at Yoongi with a hard stare, which Yoongi returned until he rubbed his temples. "Hyung, this is Taehyung. Taehyung, this is Kim Seokjin, but you can just refer to him as Jin-hyung." Taehyung bowed to him. "Hello, Jin-hyung. It's nice to meet you." Jin smirked. "Oh, trust me. The pleasure is all mine," he said as he looked from Tae to Yoongi. "Now where did you meet him?" With a strained voice, Yoongi replied, "We have a project we're working on together." Jin hummed. "Well, I'll be going until your food arrives. Yoongi," he nodded a slight bow, "Taehyung-ssi," he bowed slightly as well, "You'd look good with a choker on." That's the last comment Jin made as he walked away towards the kitchens. Tae was in the middle of putting a rice cake in his mouth when Jin said, he almost made him spit it out. Yoongi sighed deeply, "I'm sorry about him, you'll have to learn to ignore him, I definitely do." Tae laughed nervously, "What was with the choker comment?" He had an idea of the connotation behind it, but he wanted to see what Yoongi would say.
This was the first time he could see some color pop up on Yoongi's cheeks. "I may or may not be in the BDSM community, and Jin likes to do anything and everything to ruin my life." Tae couldn't help but laugh nervously. It was funny, but they were finally on the topic that has plagued his mind for the past few days. "Aw hyung, I find you really cute too, but I'm not ready to be collard yet. I don't even know if you can handle me yet." he was being bold, very bold. He could tell his face was red which didn't match the confidence he tried to put into his voice. Yoongi's eyes darkened at his words, "Don't test me Taehyung." Yoongi cleared his throat, he looked like he was trying to contain himself, "So, you know of the community, are you a part of it with someone?" Tae was sure his face was going to stay red for eternity, "I am a part of the community, but I don't currently have a play partner." Jin came over with their food and started placing the meat on the grill. He looked between the two boys sitting at the table, "Wow, you can cut the tension with a knife. Yoongi, I cannot wait to tell Joon about the cutie you have found." He looked over at Yoongi, "Who is Joon?", he asked.
"Oh, that's Jin's partner and dom. Even though Jin is the one that has Joon collard," Yoongi said, shrugging. Ok, Tae has been in the community for a while, but this was new to him. "Um, how does that work?" he questioned, confused. Yoongi chuckled. "Jin found this cute, inexperienced boy wandering around a bdsm club with wide eyes. Jin claimed him. He's Jin's. Jin wanted to collar him, so what Jin wanted, he always got. Joon is collared to him," he explained. Taehyung knew every couple had a slightly different and unique dynamic when it came to bdsm, and he was interested to see what theirs looked like.
"So, Taehyung, you know of the community, but you said no one has claimed you yet. Are you interested in being a part of it again?" He asked, his stare was back to the intensity Tae was used to. It set his body on fire. Taehyung took a sip of his water before he replied, "Well, last time I played was fun and all, but I don't think I want to join the community if I'm playing with random people again. I think I want a dedicated master. So, I guess the answer would be that it's complicated."
Yoongi smirked. "Well, I guess you're complicated then," Yoongi joked. Tae laughed, but replied challengingly, "Hmm, I think a good enough dom can figure me out…" For once, he met Yoongi's eyes with a heated look of his own and Taehyung needed him to try to figure him out. "You know, I-"
Jin cut Yoongi off by coming over with large trays of different types of meat. "Wow Jin. Impeccable timing as always," Yoongi griped. Jin rolled his eyes as he finished setting up the table to perfection. "You're such a rude dongsaeng. I don't know how I failed in raising you correctly," he muttered as he stood up. "Anyways you two, Enjoy." He walked away.
"So, Yoongi, what were you about to say?" Taehyung asked, excited to hear what Yoongi was going to offer. Yoongi seemed to rethink what he was going to say before Jin interrupted. "One day I'll tell you Taehyung, but I don't think you're ready for that yet anyways." He shrugged and started flipping the food. "Now eat up. The food here is delicious." Tae huffed at him but began eating the food that was on his plate. He moaned in pleasure; the food was so good. He caught Yoongi staring at him, this made him feel almost as good as the food. It felt like revenge for Yoongi not telling him what he was going to say. To say the food was amazing would be an understatement. They chatted quietly about random things; favorite hobbies and what they did in their free time.
Everything was going really well, and then time to leave came. Tae was going to try and pay what he could, but Yoongi took the bill from Jin when he came over and handed him his card. "Oh my god hyung, you didn't have to do that!" Tae felt flattered, but he was sure the bill couldn't have been cheap. "Don't worry about it, let hyung treat." Jin came back over and bid them farewell, "Taehyung, it was so nice to meet you, you come see hyung again soon even if it's without mr. grumps over there. One day you can meet Joon, and we can all play together." Tae felt his face turn red as he started to sputter. "Aish Jin, why must you do this to me? We're leaving goodbye. Tell Joon I say hey." Yoongi grabbed a still red-faced Tae out of the booth and pulled him out of the restaurant. They made their way towards the bike, "Why did Jin say that?" Tae had to know. He heard Yoongi sigh, "I have watched a couple of their scenes before, they get off on being watched and they trust me. I don't participate necessarily, but I have watched, and that was hyungs way of getting me to tell you that. I think he enjoys embarrassing me."
That was a lot to take in. Not a bad thing, but a lot. "That sounds interesting. I've never done that with someone I know. I watch scenes at the club, but I've never been friends in any of them.", Tae admitted. Yoongi looked over at them, they had almost made it to the bike,"Is that something you think you would ever be into? Being watched or watching?" his face flushed as he answered," I wouldn't be opposed to either option," Yoongi gave him a slow smile and climbed onto the bike, "Good to know." Tae climbed onto the bike and gripped onto Yoongi. "Where should I drop you off?" He didn't want this night to end, but he was really tired. "Just at the dorms, I have a room there. Where do you live?" They drove off towards the school," I have an apartment about five minutes from campus." that sounded nice. Tae couldn't wait until he could have a place off campus one day. All too soon they arrived at Tae's building. He climbed off the bike and turned to Yoongi,"Thank you for the food and an amazing night, hyung. I'll see you tomorrow in class." Yoongi gave him his signature lopsided grin. " See you tomorrow, princess, sleep well." With that he drove off. He walked up the stairs to his room, feet almost dragging he was so tired. As soon as he changed and flopped on his bed, he was fast asleep.
