I really like Pokémon. My first video game ever was Pokémon Yellow, and, in my opinion, the series has remained good in all of its games. Yes, I'm including Sword and Shield in that count. A National Dex would have been nice, but it's not needed. However … BRING MY POOR LITTLE BULBASAUR TO GALAR, GAMEFREAK! I'M BEGGING YOU!
Also, if you're confused, that's because this story started in the epilogue of Worlds Collide. So if you're confused, go there to be not confused.
Song of the Chapter: Lumiose City by I don't know.
I own nothing but the story.
Percy walked with Professor Sycamore to Lumiose City. It was so strange for him to see this world he had only seen through a 3DS screen. He wondered what it would be like going on a Pokémon journey for real instead of through a video game. Maybe he wouldn't struggle so much with it since there would be nothing to read.
If he remembered correctly, Lumiose was right after that area with all the flowers and stuff. He walked through the tunnel and his large smile grew even larger.
He was in Lumiose City! Pokémon's equivalent of Paris!
"This is amazing," he said, looking around.
Then he noticed something. He saw his reflection in a window and saw that he looked … different. It made sense, since how he normally looked would look weird in the style this world was in. However, he looked to be about sixteen or seventeen, and he was supposed to be nineteen.
Oh well. He supposed it wasn't too bad to look a few years younger.
"Come on!" Professor Sycamore said, leading him to his laboratory.
"You have a very nice laboratory," Percy said.
Percy probably should have been a bit more worried about being in a different universe, but after fighting an evil Hulk and worrying about the fate of the multiverse, would it really be so bad to catch some Pokémon?
"Thank you," Professor Sycamore said, leading him into the elevator, where they went to the third floor. Waiting for them were two boys.
"Hello, Professor!" said a red-haired boy who Percy recognized as Trevor.
"Whoa!" said a larger boy, Tierno. "Who are you?"
"Uh, I'm Percy," he said.
"Percy here doesn't have a Pokémon," Professor Sycamore said. "So I've decided to give him one!"
"Awesome!" Tierno said, performing a quick dance move.
Percy stood there. These people seemed enthusiastic about pretty much everything.
"Alright!" Professor Sycamore said, pulling out a case. He opened it up, and multiple Pokéballs were in there.
"Here," Professor Sycamore told Percy, giving him the Pokéball holding the Froakie from before. "Unless you'd like a different Pokémon?"
Percy shook his head. "No, this is good."
He gave Percy a Pokédex and turned to Tierno and Trevor.
Percy, on the other hand, already had an idea of what he wanted his team to be.
Water types.
Hey, he was a son of Poseidon. Nothing wrong with that.
Suddenly, everything froze, and a portal opened. The One Above All stepped out.
"Percy! There you are! I've been searching for hours!"
"Yeaha, I got pretty lucky with what dimension I ended up in," Percy said, showing the Pokéball to him.
"Oh, really? Which one did you pick?"
"Froakie."
"Great choice. Anyways, I am here to tell you that you are temporarily stuck in this universe."
Percy looked up. "What?" He didn't want to worry those who cared about him.
"Oh, don't worry, it's just that you have jumped universes quite a bit, and then died and then undied, and universe-jumped again, not to mention that you were in the vortex itself for quite a bit. Needless to say, your molecular structure is unstable. If I brought you back now, your body would fall apart."
"Oh."
"Yeah, so you're going to have to stay here for maybe a week or two for your body to be stable again."
"What about the people in my universe? I don't want to worry them."
"I could explain the situation to them?"
Percy stared at him. "What?"
"Well, unless you want them to worry, I really don't have any other option. I could stop time in your universe until you returned, but that opens up a whole other can of worms with it being out of the temporal balance, and then it's unstable, and could be destroyed - "
"Okay, fine."
"Great. Don't worry. Everything's going to be alright."
He went through the portal, and everything unfroze.
"Alright!" Tierno said, holding up his Pokéball. Trevor got one as well and thanked Professor Sycamore.
"Now, could you take the case to the other three?" Professor Sycamore asked Tierno and Trevor. They nodded, and Professor Sycamore quickly wrote on a piece of paper, then turning to Percy. "Hey, Percy, could you take this to your mom or dad?"
Percy stopped. His mom and dad were in another dimension. And he knew what that letter was.
He nodded and took the letter. He would just have to go off on a Pokémon journey without parental permission.
It's not like it was the worst thing he had ever done.
Excited.
I really enjoy seeing what other people think of what I write, so consider leaving a review.
