The Infinite Chronicles
Act 1: Forgotten
I'll probably release at least a chapter a week, maybe 2-3 if I feel like it
Chapter 2
Hazel prepared enough supplies to last at least 3 days and informed Gran that she would be out on an expedition requested by the chairman."I don't like the sound of this,"Gran rumbled "You're taking a job you have no idea about and how long it could last?" "Relax Gran, I know what I'm doing, I've prepared enough supplies and whatnot to keep me alive" I assured her."Very well I suppose it is time, this is something that can help you on your journey". She pulled out a stick from out of the lake and tossed it to me."Gran, this is a stick, I don't see how a stick can help me"I said confused. "Open it little one" Gran chuckled. And like a child getting a gift I opened the "stick" and revealed a sword."Remember your training and you should live" Gran said. I thanked her and went to the docks to meet the chairman
"Ah Hazel already prepare? Good good!" exclaimed the chairman. " Yes I have chair- uh I mean Lana" I replied. "This crew Hazy work with" gesturing to a group of 6 people, 3 of which were blades. "So this is the runt we have to work with?" asked one of the members of the group, maybe their leader "Aren't you a little too young to be here? What are you, 14? " "16, dumbass" I snapped back at him. His eyes widened and he started laughing,"The girl has spirit, you're gonna fit right in kid" "Knock it off Silverius," a girl with very black hair, fair skin and startling purple eyes behind him said, possibly Phantomi, "You're gonna piss her off before we even start". "Calm down Jess, you're also going to piss her off with that attitude" the last member of the group said. He had blonde hair, blue eyes and a long thin sword on his back. "Anyway, we better get going, thank you chairman for attending us," the man named Silverius said while gesturing towards their vessel and they all went in. My eyes glanced to a bush near the ship and gasped, there was a figure clad in white and a strange mask staring hard at Silverius and then he locked eyes with me and somehow managed to disappear deeper into the bush. I didn't know who he was or what he was doing in that bush but I decided to follow into their ship. I wished that I could have brought my Artifice with me. Its name was the Nimitz, and I have used it on many missions, its faded green and white color make it look formidable enough to take on an entire army, but it has kept me safe enough. Walking in, I saw technology I had never seen before. A speaker from overhead blared "Little kid we invited on board, please head to the deck and don't touch anything dangerous please!" and it ended with an annoying click.``I will NOT be called a little kid" I grumbled as I made my way to the deck. "Bout time!" Silverius said without looking at me while steering the ship."We need your help to direct us to the Deep End" I grabbed the wheel from him and studied the coordinates from the panels the ship had. This was my first time steering a submarine, but definitely not my first time driving huge machines under water.
"We're near the Deep End, I hope you have weapons in this ship" I said. "Of course we do" scoffed the man who I haven't got his name yet; "otherwise we wouldn't even plan a trip here". "Multiple hostile creatures up ahead" said the girl named Jess "Preparing to fire". We blasted our way deeper and deeper into the zone and eventually reached its deepest point. "Alright, now drive us to the End Zone" Silverius said. "You're crazy, that zone would kill us all, I know what's in there" I exclaimed. "Just do it kid" he said with an angrier tone to his voice. "Look i'm only going to say this once more so you better do it" "No" I replied. The tension in the room increased, the Jess girl looked worried." Well, I was hoping we could be friends," Silverius said with a forced laugh while drawing his sword "unfortunately, your usefulness has expired. " He lunged at me with impossible speed and pierced me with his blade. I could hear Jess screaming "No!" and the other man just looked at me with sad eyes. It didn't matter, I was dead.
