By the time they pulled into Static's driveway Sandy had calmed down quite a bit. She took in the darkening reddish haze that was the sky as she stepped out of the vehicle's passenger side door. The sunsets this time of year were always so beautiful, and the view from Static's neighborhood only intensified the experience.

"I'll grab your things if you get the kids."

Sandy turned her head in surprise as her friend spoke. Her face turned a little red with embarrassment at the realization her mind had wondered off yet again. "Thank ya." She responded while retrieved her children from the back seat of the dark blue SUV.

Static clumsily opened his front door as he tried to carry in far too many of Sandy's belongings at once. After not so gracefully dropping the bags behind the couch he gave Sandy a sheepish grin as she entered the house behind him. "I'll, uh, just go get the last of it then." He nervously laughede as he exited the house again.

Sandy looked around as she started to unbuckle the restraints holding the twins in their car seats. Static's house was of a more modern design architecture wise, and far from childproof. Luckily her youngsters weren't very mobile just yet, so she didn't have to worry too much about them getting into too much trouble.

"Alright!" The purple squirrel sighed as he shut the front door before setting down two more large bags into the pile of belongings besides his guest. "That's all of it." He smiled happily as he took a seat on the plush carpet next to Sandy. He held out his hands to take the first child she had unbound from their seat.

"I like how ya redecorated." She expressed while not even looking up as she worked to free her other child.

"Thanks. I was going for a more open feel." He let out a small laugh as Sandy's young son grabbed onto his ear.

"It's nice." She shot a small smile his way before laying her daughter down and starting to dig through one of the bags.

"Anything I can help you find?" He asked while peering in the bag as she worked her way through it.

"Nah. I just wanna find the diapers, so I can get these two changed and fed."

"Can I help?"

Sandy stopped digging around and turned to him with a confused expression on her face. "Are ya really volunteering to change a dirty diaper?"

"Yes." He grinned back proudly.

"Alright, Mr. Hotshot." Sandy shook her head in disbelief and amusement. "Knock yerself out!" She then proceeded to toss a bag of diapers next to him followed up by a small packet of wet wipes.

Static carefully laid the squirming young boy down. A look of determination covered his face as he started to unbutton the child's onesie.

"Hold up there, hon." Sandy commanded causing him to look up at her a bit panicked. A slightly laugh escaped her as she bit down on her bottom lip. "Ya might wanna use this." She proceeded to upfold a changing pad and push it towards him. "Unless ya were planning on shampooing yer carpet anyway."

She couldn't help but continue to smile as a flush of embracement crept over his face. It was more than obvious he didn't rightly know what he was doing, but she found his determination to help despite his lack of knowledge to be quite sweet. Although, this was nothing new from Static. He was always kind to her, although she figured that was largely due to the fact, he didn't have to live with her like Shadow did.

The smile quickly dropped off her face at the sudden thought of her husband of three years. Their married life had been far from perfect, but who's life was? Although, after the birth of their twin's things had taking a turn far worse than she had thought possible. Perhaps it was their overall lack of sleep, or the constant cries of their needy children, but Sandy could see clearly that their relationship was strained to the point that it could likely break at any moment. It certainly didn't help that her mood was still somewhat unpredictable due to her brief bought of postpartum depression.

"Ok, now what?" Static questioned looking down at the now naked baby as he held a wet wipe in one hand and a still folded clean diaper in the other.

A soft smile managed to find its way back to Sandy as she watched her clueless male friend attempt to assist her.

"Here, I'll show ya." She scooched herself closer to him and then began to teach him how to perform his newly sought-after task.
