Enter the Cyberverse
Chapter 2: +Plus -Minus
The story so far: The Powerpuff Girls have discovered a new ally in the Cyberverse; Digital X! She's promised to help the girls defeat Viroton, and stop Silico's plan on ending technology everywhere.
"So you're saying you know your way around this whole place?" Blossom asked.
"Of course I do. Heck, I know Cybersville like the back of my arm... *looks at her arm* hey that's new." Digital X claimed. She looked like the girls, but with a darker skin tone, her eyes, cyber outfit, visor, and cuffs were all purplish. She had brown hair and a belt that sported a plug and wire that acted like a tail. She didn't wear an outift similar to the girls, but her looks scream 'hero'. "Oh by the way I forgot to tell you, watch out for slicing devices; the virusites put them all over the place." She then warned the girls.
"What do they look like?" Buttercup asked as Blossom wasn't paying attention.
"Whatever just diced your sister." Digital X told her.
"Oh what!?" Bubbles yelled in surprise. Blossom, instead of deconstructing, turned into two electric orbs, and regenerated a body for each one. There were now two Blossoms, one with brighter colors, and another with darker colors. Each one either had a minus or plus sign where their bow connected. "Blossom? Blos- *slight pause* -soms?" Bubbles asked; worried.
"Hey there sis! How ya doing!?" One of them asked happily.
"Hi..." The other asked.
"Okay... that's never happened to anyone before." Digital X was surprised by Blossom's secondary signature ability. "I guess her other ability is 'hydra'." She concluded.
"What do you mean by that?" Buttercup asked.
"I mean that if you somehow separate her if she's whole, she'll just turn into two." Digital X poked at Buttercup's forehead.
"And that's us! Blossom + and Blossom -! Nice to meet you girls!" + spoke with high amounts of enthusiasm.
"Yeah... nice to meet you too." - spoke with insecurity.
"Okay, this is confusing. I think to make it less confusing, I'm gonna name you Creep, and I'm gonna name you Relatable." Buttercup told the two.
"Why Creep?" + asked.
"Because your enthusiasm scares me." She replied.
"I don't think she can help it Buttercup." Bubbles responded.
"Look we're getting off-track here. Don't we have something to be doing?" Digital X intervened. Everyone else suddenly stopped; except for -, who just sighed. "Ok. Since our leader is in two, I'll be taking over. My knowledge of this place is more vast than yours; I believe that's a good enough reason, no?" Digital X asked.
"It is." + added.
"Mhm..." - replied.
"Alright. Now then, *proceeds to pull out a map* this is a map of Cybersville. Now if memory serves me correct; the heart of this place is just down that-a-way. Viroton will most likely want to get there before us; so we gotta make sure to invert the situation in our favor." Digital X explained. She was met with blank stares. "We gotta get there before him. Wasn't it obvious? I thought it was." She said; exasperated.
"Stop arguing! Let's just get there already!" Bubbles yelled out; the electricity crawling around her was turning into a thunderstorm. Buttercup and Digital X stopped and nodded to their sister in understanding. "Thank you. Now lead the way X!"
"Right; oh and, while we're on our way there we'll need to find out a way to make your sister whole again." She reminded the others.
"Oh that can all be arranged. - you and I have to return as one now." + told her opposite charge.
"Ok..." - sighed as she approached her opposite charge. They held hands and butted heads, then in a huge orb came out Blossom. "Good to be one. Good. Two. Be. One." She repeated.
"Well now that that's been taken care of, we should head on out." Digital X reminded everyone.
"Right. C'mon girls! There's a virus we need to delete." Blossom told them. All four girls then shot off into the distance, where they'd wait for Viroton to arrive.
*Jumpcut to the Core Tower*
"Well this is the place. 'Core Tower'; the heart of the Cyberverse." Digital X stated.
"Such a basic name for such an important piece. And you said he'd be showing up soon X?" Blossom asked.
Digital X said nothing, and instead took closer looks at the core itself. "It's here, and I'll be able to fully corrupt it with this special ability; if all goes according to plan that is." She said to herself.
Buttercup noticed her outwards stare, and gave her a slap on the back of the head to bring her back to reality. "You good? You kinda just stared out into Cyberspace." *No response* "X?" She then asked.
Her head turned and revealed two glowing cyan-colored eyes, and an angry expression. She swung at Buttercup with her plug tail. "Whoa! X; what's wrong with you?" Blossom asked her.
"Is it not obvious?" She then transformed her entire being into the virus they had been searching for. The description fits perfectly. (A/N: Viroton's speech has both letters and numbers in it.) "Y35, 1'm 7h3 0n3 y0u'v3 833n 534rch1n6 f0r." (Yes I'm the one you've been searching for.). Viroton revealed himself; speaking with a glitchy tone.
"Viroton! What have you done to Digital X!?" Buttercup yelled to him.
"5h3'5 h4v1n6 73chn1c41 d1ff1cu17135 r16h7 n0w. 50 h01d y0ur qu35710n5 t111 th3 3nd p13453." (She's having technical difficulties right now. So hold your questions till the end please.). Viroton informed them.
"We're not gonna let you hurt this place! Or end all of technology for that matter!" Blossom told him.
"1 d1546r33..." (I disagree...). Viroton then summoned multiple virusites, and a normal virus. Since the girls had only put up with virusites, the viruses themselves wouldn't be much of a challenge anyways.
"Let's go girls!" Our heroes then shot themselves towards their enemies in flashes of light; tearing through them; literally. The lone virus had only two longswords that probably contained 4.5 KB of data each. "I don't wanna get sliced again..." Blossom complained to herself.
"5urr3nd3r 0r run!" (Surrender or run!). The virus threatened the girls.
"How about the third option? Fight back!" Buttercup then whipped her arm at the virus; who then proceeded to chop it in two. "Oh chip..." She said.
"Wh1ch w111 17 83?" (Which will it be?). The virus asked.
Buttercup's arm was taking its time to regenerate. Bubbles silently opened her keyboard and typed something. "This'll work." A giant hammer then appeared over the virus' head, and crushed it. "Nailed it!" Bubbles said; nobody got the joke.
"4r6h! F1n3, 1'11 d0 17 my531f!" (Argh! Fine I'll do it myself!). Said Viroton angrily. He then unleashed claw-like appendages on his backside and his regular detached arms. He roared at the girls; who flew back to distance themselves.
"Wait! We shouldn't be doing this!" Blossom told her sisters.
"Why not?" Bubbles asked.
"Because, it's part of his plan. His plan is to distance us from him so he'll have an easier time corrupting the Cyberverse's core!" Blossom informed her sister; who quickly got the message. "Glad you at least understand; we have to stop him but we can't be reckless. Maybe if we use our X-hancing rings, we'll even the odds in our favor." Blossom then added.
"That could work!" Bubbles agreed.
"I'm with you. C'mon lets go Dynamo!" Buttercup yelled out.
"Dynamo?" Her sisters asked.
"Well, when we saw ourselves in the mirror that day, I told 'ourselves' 'Man we look like Dynamo. Maybe that should be the name.' Know what I mean?" Buttercup told them.
"Yeah. But we should probably get this over with." Blossom said while trying to get it over with. They each pressed the button on their ring and jetted upwards; absorbing each other into an orb. They then slammed back onto the ground, and became Dynamo!
"Perfect, it still works. Now we fight; as one." She then flew to Viroton at lightning fast speeds and fired a rainbow colored laser at him. The life of technology is at stake!
Viroton roared at his enemies. He then flew upwards to battle them as well; his bottom half turning into a tornado-like feature.
"Scaring us won't do! Now get ready to feel our strength!" Dynamo then powered up the self-starburst ray. Because all three girls were combined, it was fired immediately as soon as Dynamo started charging. Viroton took massive damage; as shown by the mysterious health bar above him; which reads: '1055/1120'. Huh, it's turning into a video game. "It's like a video game, and this is the final boss! Alright, no holding back." Dynamo then proceeded to unleash a fury of punches upon Viroton; making him stagger. His health bar reads: '1000/1120'.
"Your strength is great. BUT MINE'S GREATER!" Viroton spoke clearly. He then unleashed several rays of energy towards the hero. Dynamo held her arms out in front of her; attempting to lower the damage she received. It worked; as expected, and her health bar reads: '780/990'.
"Of course I have lower starting health. Games always do that..." She wasn't messing around by this point anymore however. By pressing the two rings on both her arms, she powered her strength (and health) by double the amount. Her health bar now reads: '1560/1980'. "You can't handle this!" She yelled to Viroton as she charged a bomb spike flurry, (A/N: read 'What Felt Like Forever', for an explanation on the bomb spike) she fired, and Viroton took amazing damage. His health bar now reads: '350/1120'. "Easily done. Nothing to it." She started getting cocky; Viroton took time to unleash something, and finished by releasing an energy field that lowered Dynamo's health to 1. "Typical... but I can still win." She focused intensly, and recovered several hp. Now her health bar reads: '990/1980'; half of what she gained. "Now it's time to delete this virus and put it out to pasture. You know those mean the exact same thing right? Yes." She was conversing with herself again.
"What's wrong? Can't handle my immense power? Well it's going to get a lot worse; once I finish corrupting this core to 100%, it's lights out for you all!" Viroton yelled out.
"Oh we can handle it. It's ours you can't handle." Dynamo jumped back and prepared herself for an attack the girls can only use when fused; 'meteor fire'. She moved her arms fast in circular patterns, and when she does this materials start collecting onto them. She then had her arms collide, and using the materials caught onto them, a meteor-like ball was formed. (It wasn't as big as a meteor, but it's power was very destructive). When the meteor ball fully formed she spun it horizontally and fired her lasers at it; setting it aflame. "Meteor fire!" She yelled as the meteor ball rolled towards Viroton at a high speed in the air.
"Response: Is it too late now to say sorry?" Yes, yes it was.
The meteor collided; and destroyed most of the tower, but at least it also completely annihilated Viroton. The core was once again safe for the best part. "Yes! We did it! The internet and all of technology-kind is safe!" Dynamo then unfused and the girls gave high-ones all around. Digital X finally caught up with them after fighting off a horde of corrupted anti-viruses.
"Oh. I see you managed to take on and defeat Viroton?" Digital X asked.
"Yep. Though that brings us to this; what exactly happened to you?" Bubbles asked.
"The anti-viruses were corrupted, had to fight to bring them back. Several programs were separated from the safety area, had to track them down. And here I am with you girls." Digital X explained.
"Well. Good to know you're safe at least." Blossom was interrupted by a call on her X-hancing ring. "This thing takes calls?" She tapped the button and the Professor's face was revealed in a holographic projection.
"Girls! You did it! Everything's going back to normal; is Digital X there? I want to speak with her." The Professor suddenly asked.
"Yep she's right here." Blossom told him. "Say hi."
Digital X took a moment before realizing who she was speaking to. "Oh. My creator!" She exclaimed. This took the other girls by surprise. "Why do you wish to speak with me?" She asked.
"Because, I had no way of communicating with you once technology went down as Viroton was still active. I got worried for all four of you." He explained.
"Well. Worry not, as you already know, Viroton was defeated by your daughters." Digital X explained.
"Right. Well then girls unfortunately you'll have to say your goodbyes." He told his daughters.
"Yeah. It was nice meeting you, really. But since we don't live in a computer network, we'll have to return to our real home." Buttercup told D.X.
"No, no. I understand; I get it really. I'm Cyberville's only defender anyways, but I can manage." Digital X told them.
"Good to hear. You keep well okay?" Blossom asked her.
"I will." *The girls fly off* "Be safe on the way back!" She yelled to them.
*Jumpcut to the girls' room*
"Whew... what a wild ride that was." Bubbles said.
"Glad to see you're back girls. Come and check this out, I've managed to create something that'll allow you to talk with Digital X when you wish to." The Professor showed them a screen with Digital X's model on it.
"Cool! Now we can talk to her whenever we want to?" Bubbles asked.
"As long as your computer remains charged; then yes." The Professor told them.
"Cool. Why don't we test it out tomorrow girls?" Blossom asked. "Because right now I'm *yawns* so very... tired."
"Sure!" They both said. Then they both yawned.
"You fused again didn't you?" The Professor asked.
"Yeah..." All three of them said.
"Alright, I'll get you girls ready. Have a nice night." The Professor told them.
"Thanks Professor." They said before they collapsed on the ground; sleeping.
And so once again, the day was saved! Thanks to... The Cyberpuff Girls! Wow whaddya know? It does have a nice sound to it. (The End)

After credits sequence:
"A minor setback... doesn't matter. I'm merely holding back for the time I'll finally get my revenge on you three." Silico then turned off the projection of the girls he was watching...
