Chapter One: Arranged Marriage?!

"I'm sorry, but do what?!" Two young teens demanded at the same time upon hearing some disturbing news. They glared at each other for the supposed interruption, not happy to have been on the same wavelength. The female then turned to glare at her parents.

"It is two thousand and fuc- freaking five! We don't live in the middle ages, we're not royalty, what the heck do you mean by 'arranged marriage'?!"

If it were not already evident, the girl was not very happy at the news. Her emerald eyes were narrowed at her birth givers and her arms were crossed over her ample bosom, which for a sixteen year old, was quite pronounced, as were her hips, one of which was jutted out as she tapped her foot against the hardwood floor of her parents den, which apparently was now the 'horrible news room'.

Apparently her 'betrothed' was in agreement with her, though he showed much less attitude as he asked his parents a similar line of questioning.

"What is the meaning of this?" He asked. "What purpose would a union between the us-" he glanced over at the girl with a semi disgusted look on his face before looking back at his parents. "Accomplish?"

The two sets of parents looked at each other before speaking.

"Perhaps it was a bad idea to inform them together..." A man with white hair, a purple overcoat with golden trim and a monocle over one eye mused.

"It would help if we had more time." His wife, a woman with the most gorgeous, long, blonde hair and hazel eyes agreed

"To be honest, we all thought it wouldn't come to this." The other woman in the room replied, eyes of quicksilver seeming haunted and hurt.

"Anyone wanna clue us in?" The female teen asked. "Or are you all just gonna keep ignoring us?"

"Aileen..." Her mother responded, trying her best to keep herself together. "There is alot going on, and unfortunately, we do not have the time to relive every detail right this instant. As of now, whether the two of you like or not, you'll be married by this time next year. And the reason-"

"Next year! Mother I have plans after graduation but youre telling me I can't because I have to play house with who is perhaps the most stuck up, condescending, cold, heartless, and infuriating person on the entire planet?! What ever happened to "you can do and be whatever you want when you get older?" I guess that was all a lie, then?"

"Andorra Aileen, that's enough!" Her mother didn't raise her voice often, but when she was serious, the entire atmosphere around her changed.

At this moment, the lights seemed to dim and the girl swore up and down she could hear thunder booming in the distance as the elder woman stood to her feet.

It was the only time she ever backed down from a confrontation. She knew damn good and well she couldn't hang with her mother on that level.

Seeing her daughter back down, the mother did as well, sitting back down. Or, more like falling backwards onto the couch with a hand on her head. Her husband, a man with light tanned skin and dark hair and eyes, gently placed a damp rag on her brow. . He'd figured she would need it at some point.

"Don't overdo it Liz..." He murmured quietly, to which she only nodded.

Once she had calmed down, she went back to explaining.

"The reason for this marriage." She went on. "Is because of your heritage. The two of you are the eldest of the two most powerful bloodlines to ever exist in both the Demon Realm and the Heavens. And-"

"I am not shacking up with him just to have a kid and train it to be some fighting machine." The girl stated.

How fucking dare they try and coerce her into this?! Didn't her parents care about what she wanted?!

"No, no... It's not that kind of a union." The white haired man responded. "It's the two of you, that we need to be the fighters."

"Why not just train us as warriors then?" The teen boy queried. "Why must we be wed for this to matter?"

"Because of the way the ceremony is to happen. It is not a traditional wedding like what the two of you may be thinking. There is no priest and no legalities, no paperwork to sign. It is more of a... How to explain this in a way you two can understand..."

"Perhaps we should start with the basics?" The blonde mother mused. "Explain to them what they are first, and go from there."

"What we are?" The girl asked. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Andorra... For a smart child, you are quite dense." The boy told her. "Surely you've noticed you're not like the other kids in that cesspool we call a highschool?"

The girl froze and glanced over at her parents for help. How did he know that?! She went to extremes to make sure she didn't seem different... Was he different too? Was that he gave off such strange vibes?

"Judging by your reaction, you do know." The boy continued.

"What does that have to do with anything?" She demanded.

The parents all glanced at each other before Liz spoke up.

"We haven't told her yet... James felt it would be good for her to have a normal childhood experience, since, at the time, we thought the threat was over. We were going to tell her soon, being she's reaching maturity."

"Perhaps we should pick this up at a later date?" The blonde woman questioned. "Give them time to adjust to the news and us time to explain better?"

The two father's seemed to agree on that note.

But the kids however, didn't seem pleased.

"No, no no no, you can't just drop this bombshell on us and then not finish telling us." Andorra stated, highly agitated now.

"You'll get your explanation." Her mother stated. "Just be patient, child. We are trying to figure things out ourselves. It's all happening so quickly..."

Andorra rolled her eyes. Patience was not her strong suit as of late.

"Ugh, whatever." She huffed. "I'm going to my room." She stated before turning and storming off.

Ugh. How dare they pull this kind of crap?! It was unheard of. And what did her being different have a part to play in this? What was happening!? What threat? And why did it have to be him of all people?! Why get married?! Ugh,she didn't understand!

And what was all that shit about telling her because she was maturing?! What did that even mean?!

She reached the door to her room and slammed that bitch so hard she was sure it rattled the entirety of the house.

This was bullshit...

She had plans after school next year. She couldn't get married and deal with all this. And what marriage didn't have a priest or even a justice of the peace?! Fuck, when her brother got married he had to go through all kinds of crap... Wait a damn minute... She wasn't the eldest! Ha! She had them now. This had to be some kind of a prank. Yeah! All because she was going to be seventeen soon, they wanted to fuck with her.

She grinned, thinking she had just found a loophole.

Let's see how they liked it when she exposed their little fuck up.

Oh it was going to be fun!

(I'm sure it needs work. Y'all lemme know if anything needs changing or more explaining, though I do plan on covering more in the later chapters and having bit by bit revealed. Thank you! ~Phoenix)
