time to start a mass murder on their dignities!

「 彼らの尊厳を虐殺する時が来ました!」

Class 1-A had met their homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta, and were given instructions to head down to the field after putting on the Yuuei track suits. Without another second to waste, the students headed toward the door. Of course, none was more eager than Bakugou Katsuki, who couldn't spend another second with his peers and was itching to do whatever Aizawa was making them do before entrance ceremony.

That's what Bakugou had thought as he slammed open the door and heard a loud thump.

"Kacchan?" Midoriya Izuku was first to ask, being the one directly behind the ash blond, much to his dismay. The boys peered at what could've made such a sound as the rest of the class wondered what they were stopped for.

"Oh, it's Blasty!" a voice exclaimed before Bakugou could even focus on where it was coming from. He peered down at the door to see a head sticking out from the bottom. There, a boy was, on his arse after being knocked down from Bakugou's door slamming. Despite being on the floor, he gave a wide smirk upon looking up at Bakugou.

"Don't call me that, bastard extra!" Bakugou demanded angrily, remembering the male from orientation and how he stole Bakugou's kill points. Not to mention their encounter at Aldera Junior High once.

"Is that Akagawa...?" Midoriya asked as the male stood up and dusted himself off lightly. The cherry-haired male looked toward Midoriya and gave a raised eyebrow.

"Midori?" he asked, saying only the part of his name which meant green. It was his nickname for the green boy. "You're a student here? Yuuei?"

Midoriya nodded nervously. "Yeah, I am!"

"What are you guys doin'?" Aizawa groaned, pushing past a few students as to see what the hold up was. "Oh, it's you. Nice of you to join us so...early."

"Yeah, sorry, I got kinda lost." Akagawa replied nonchalantly.

"That is no excuse!" Iida Tenya exclaimed. "You should have received a layout of the school via mail or online! Using such lame excuses will not fly, on your first day, no less!"

"Do you wanna go?" Akagawa threatened, yet was still smiling toward the male. "You were even annoying during orientation. Are you really this much of a moral compass?"

"A moral-!?"

"Forget it, Iida." Aizawa interrupted. "I'll make sure Akagawa gets punishment for being late. Let's just hurry to the field already, you're all wasting my time."

"Yes, sir!" Iida gave a salute.

"Put this on and meet at the back of the school, the field." Aizawa told Akagawa, who nodded and took the blue track suit from his homeroom teacher's hand, giving a salute that he stole, and quite frankly, was mocking from Iida.

The class then disbanded into their respective locker rooms. Akagawa had Bakugou take the lead, as he wasn't sure where the boys locker room was, and followed the seething angry ash blond instead. Midoriya made sure to stand a good few feet away from those two. Especially after seeing Bakugou fume with anger everytime Akagawa got close to him, which Akagawa noticed, and did it just to piss Bakugou off.

"What's up with the angry guy?" Uraraka asked just before they went into their separate locker rooms, gaining Midoriya's attention.

"Ah, that's just how Kacchan normally is. And, Akagawa, we met in junior high when Kacchan- I mean, he helped me out once. He likes to get people angry, but I didn't think that he would go after Kacchan like this." Midoriya replied, going off on his little trails of thought as if it would help him discover Akagawa's true intentions. But, it wouldn't. He saw Akagawa as sort of an enigma; you never know what he's truly thinking.

"I see. Well, good luck! See you out there!" the girl replied, hurrying off before Aizawa punished them for taking too long. Midoriya nodded and went inside the locker room, only to gasp a little when he saw Bakugou making explosions while glaring at a smirking Akagawa.

"I'll kick your ass, Killstealer!" Bakugou exclaimed.

"Aw, is Blasty still mad that I stole some of his robot kills? Do you need a pacifier and a sippy cup of milk? I'll even heat it up for you!" Akagawa snickered as he finished his sentence, barely able to say it without making himself laugh.

"You're dead!" Bakugou exclaimed and would've lunged at Akagawa if it weren't for ice holding him in place.

"Not the time nor the place." Todoroki stated. "Some of us are trying to change."

"You want some, too, huh!? You better let me go before I come for you next, you bastard!" Bakugou struggled against the ice.

"I was just teasing him a little." Akagawa chuckled. "Say, that's a nice Quirk you got there. Will Bakugou be unable to move completely?"

"I swear to God, if you let him get close to me, it's both of your funerals! Let me go, now, you Half n' Half lookin' bastard!" Bakugou shouted, his explosions melting the ice at a rapid pace, making Todoroki having to constantly keep his ice flowing from his hands just to continue restraining the explosive boy.

Todoroki sighed. "As much as I want you to be humiliated, I don't want to keep Sensei waiting."

"Hey, Akagawa, why don't you come with me?" Kirishima Eijirou asked meekly, seeing how Bakugou was literally shaking with anger so much so that he probably didn't need to activate his Quirk in order to melt the ice anymore.

Akagawa frowned. "I was just starting to have fun."

"Sorry," Kirishima said nervously as they entered the hallway. Since Akagawa left earlier than he anticipated, he still had to pull the track suit shirt over his head. He did so as he walked with Kirishima toward the stairs.

"Who are you, anyway?" Akagawa asked, his voice a bit muffled due to the shirt being over his head.

"Name's Kirishima Eijirou." Kirishima had to grab Akagawa a few times so he wouldn't fall down the stairs while putting on his shirt.

"Akagawa Masumi." Akagawa replied, his head popping out of the shirt finally.

"Nice to meet you, Akagawa." Kirishima smiled, earning a look from Akagawa. He wasn't smiling, but he didn't seem annoyed either. Kirishima got a bit nervous by Akagawa blankly stared at him. "What...?"

"You seem like a team player. Are you?"

"Well, sure I am! Teamwork is manly, y'know?"

"Hmm." Akagawa hummed. "What's your Quirk?"

"Oh, I can harden my body." Kirishima replied. "It's best for defense, but it's also killer for offensive, too!"

"You can harden...anywhere?"

"Huh?" Kirishima was taken aback from Akagawa's question. So much so that he had to pause just as they arrived to the door to the field. He turned to Akagawa to see him smirking widely, as if he was stifling back a laugh. Which Kirishima was certain he was once he couldn't hold it any longer and Akagawa's hysterical laughter filled the hallway.

"Can you two move, please?" a voice asked. It took the two a few minutes to realize that a floating female uniform, Hagakure Tooru, was behind them. With her invisibility Quirk, the two didn't even notice.

"Ah, sorry!" Kirishima exclaimed and moved out of the way, sporting a red embarrassed face as he realized that she must've heard what Akagawa said. There's no way she didn't. Akagawa began wiping his tears from laughter away as Hagakure left, earning a betrayed glare from Kirishima.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Akagawa laughed.

"You don't seem very sorry to me..." Kirishima mumbled embarrassingly, scratching his eyebrow absentmindedly.

"Ya caught me! Hey, it's just a joke, right? Don't get all frowny about it!" Akagawa chirped. Kirishima looked back and gave a forced smile, contemplating if he should've saved him from Bakugou or not given the betrayal he's made Kirishima feel in the short few minutes they've been together.

"You two are still here?" Todoroki asked, approaching just as Akagawa was calming down from his hysterical laugh.

"Ah, we were just leaving." Kirishima replied, opening the door finally, letting the outside air and warmth hit their bodies.

"Did you let Blasty go?" Akagawa asked.

"It's not like I could keep him under ice all day with an explosion Quirk." Todoroki stated. "He's probably right behind us."

"Let's hurry to Aizawa Sensei for protection!" Akagawa cheered, bouncing with each step he took toward their teacher, who wore a tired expression as he watched the trio walk up.

"I don't get paid enough to know." Aizawa sighed before peering at half the class, noticing that majority of the class was still absent. "Akagawa, come here real quick."

"I didn't do it, Sensei, I promise. Blasty-"

"This isn't about Bakugou. Shut up and listen." Aizawa interrupted. "Since you were late on your first day, I am obligated to make you either stay after cleanup today, or have you come in early tomorrow. Now, both of those options might not be available for you, being the first day and all."

"Okay..." Akagawa trailed, having Aizawa continue.

"If you do what I say for today, I won't punish you. Simple as that. Just follow my instructions perfectly without that mouth of yours talking back and I'll consider us even."

"Hmm..." Akagawa smiled. "I don't know, Sensei. That seems rather suspicious. What happens if you cheat me? Like, I did what you asked, but I didn't meet your expectations."

"All right, afternoon or morning, Akagawa?"

"Neither." Akagawa sighed. "I accept. Under the condition that I can change my mind when I want to."

"So be it." Aizawa replied. "Now get with the class so I can start the introduction and all that stuff."

After Akagawa reunited with the rest of Class 1-A, Aizawa began telling the class that they would be skipping the entrance ceremony and will instead be undergoing a Quirk Assessment Test. He gave a speech about the importance of using your Quirks in physical tests at Yuuei, which was against the rules in junior high.

Naturally, everyone was excited to use their Quirks.

Which only prompted Aizawa to give a more down to earth speech about how it shouldn't be seen as fun or taken lightly. Which set the runway for his next statement. There aren't any rules, but a regulation.

Whoever comes in last, 20th place, is expelled for having no potential to become a hero.

Akagawa noticed Midoriya sweating bullets from the statement. Although he couldn't tell whether or not Aizawa was being serious, he knew that it was also to act as a ploy to get everyone to try their hardest. Not doing minimal just to get by. Akagawa sighed at that. He wanted to see how he truly ranked compared to everyone else, so he decided he would abide for once. He bet himself he would come in 2nd to 5th place.

"Akagawa, Bakugou, up here." Aizawa instructed, causing a spaced out Bakugou and a growingly unsatisfied Akagawa to glance at each other before following their Sensei's instructions and standing before the rest of their class. Aizawa tossed a softball to Bakugou, who caught it effortlessly.

"What was your distance in junior high?" Aizawa asked. Bakugou gave an answer. "Okay. Now try using your Quirk."

Bakugou smirked as he began stretching his arms. Meanwhile, Akagawa stood beside Aizawa, wondering why he was up there with Bakugou to begin with. He watched as Bakugou readied himself before throwing the ball. A puff of smoke appeared as the ball bounced off of Bakugou's Quirk, sending it flying miles away until it resembled a shooting star.

"700 meters." Aizawa said.

Akagawa whistled. "Damn, Blasty."

"Akagawa, it's your turn." Aizawa said, reaching into his supply of softballs and handing one to Akagawa. Akagawa wondered where Bakugou's ball would end up as he positioned himself in front of the class. He disliked being in front of them all. He felt as if some wannabe heroes didn't deserve the time of day to even be in front of, but he also wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to show off in front of them. Either way, he didn't exactly have a choice.

After stretching his shoulder blades a bit, he readied his softball back and prepared his Quirk. He couldn't exactly make the ball soar like Bakugou, but he could make it go a great distance. So, that's what he did. Throwing the softball with one hand, his other hand sported an open palm and the color red swirled in his palm until it went onto the underside of the ball like a box. Akagawa finally threw the ball into the air, keeping the red box made of energy underneath the ball.

He controlled the box to move with the ball's momentum until it started to lose it, at which point he kept it going with his box. He can make objects out of energy and control how far it goes, but the speed of it depended on how he felt. He does have a distance to how long he can control it as well.

"It's a patient process." Akagawa chuckled to the class as the ball glided for a rough minute before the distance became out of reach and started to plummet to the ground with gravity.

"670 meters." Aizawa said as Akagawa returned to his standing spot. "Bakugou was a great example of how his Quirk can perfectly perform the test, while Akagawa's example is that he had to think outside the box to make his Quirk assist him."

"I think inside the box is more accurate, Sensei." Akagawa joked as he stood beside Bakugou with the rest of the class.

Kaminari raised his hand. "I got that Bakugou has explosions, but what exactly is Akagawa's Quirk? I couldn't even tell."

"Akagawa." Aizawa motioned.

"I can turn emotions into energy. I can have the energy inside my body, or can physically shape it into an object outside my body. You saw the second one." Akagawa explained.

"Oh, okay."

Aizawa hummed to himself at Akagawa's response. Soon enough, it was time for the tests. Nothing was too hard for Akagawa since he could use his Quirk outside his body for the distance tests, and then keep it inside his body for the physical ones. However, he had to use it sparingly. The box was easy, barely took any actual energy out of him. But doing it over and over again slowly drains his energy, not to mention the amount of stamina he is constantly using up, resorting in him to rely on his Quirk that much more.

For the most part, the tests were standard and over with rather quickly. Nothing too amusing really happened. There was only one instance in particular that Akagawa found somewhat amusing. The Ball Throw. Of course, he and Bakugou had already gone, so they stood amongst the crowd while the other students lined up to the circle. None of them were extraordinary, and Uraraka was "cheating", according to Akagawa. No, it wasn't until Midoriya stood up to the plate did Akagawa begin to get interested.

At first, it was seemingly insult to injury, as Akagawa knew that the short male was Quirkless. Initially, Akagawa was only interested in watching him fail. Some sort of entertainment, since Bakugou will surely find it amusing, and in turn amuse Akagawa. Akagawa even had to muffle a chuckle as the ball went a pathetic foot away from the male. He quickly snapped out of it when Aizawa revealed that he had erased his Quirk, which made some questions arise in Akagawa's head. He became more intrigued when Midoriya got pulled into Aizawa's scarf and they had a whisper talk away from the class.

"I wonder what they were talking about?" someone unrecognizable asked from the crowd.

"Probably telling the loser to give up!" Bakugou chuckled. Akagawa, standing directly beside the male, only smirked and pointed to Midoriya as he was released and stepped back into the circle. Bakugou continued his cocky smile as he watched Midoriya do it again - seemingly pointlessly.

Midoriya held the ball back and began launching it, and just before the ball left the tips of his fingers, places on his forearms and neck seemed to glow a magenta color. Moderate amounts of smoke bounced off the impact of the ball and his fingertips as it was launched into the air, resembling that of a rocket being launched into space.

Akagawa stood dumbfounded, certainly not expecting Midoriya to have such powerful Quirk. He was stunned until he saw Bakugou twitching, causing him to look over at the ash blond, at which point he burst out laughing as soon as he saw Bakugou's jaw-dropped expression. Akagawa had to hold his stomach as it began hurting, yet he couldn't stop laughing, especially the more he saw Bakugou's frozen expression.

"Guess who just beat you at your own game, Blasty!? Deku! He beat you by, like...!" Akagawa paused. "One entire meter!"

Bakugou couldn't even speak. If he could, he definitely would've slapped Akagawa by now. Akagawa's face began hurting from laughing. The class was already getting accustomed to ignoring Akagawa's antics, and instead, praised and showed concern toward Midoriya's purple and broken fingers. Aizawa declared that they had only three tests left and that they will continue until he says they can stop, meaning that Midoriya would have to deal with broken fingers for a while longer.

After the running test, they gathered around Aizawa near the school building, who was standing at a podium and was getting ready to display their results. Akagawa sat on the ground, finding it quicker to regain lost energy that way.

Aizawa revealed their rankings for the entire class to see.

Akagawa sighed in dissatisfaction as he read down the list. He came in eighth place, which was three places behind where he wanted to be. He knew he wouldn't be the best, but he was hoping he came in, at the very least, fifth. At least he wasn't Midoriya, who suffered from two broken fingers from a few rounds ago, and still came in last place.

"And I was lying, no one's going home." Aizawa stated, sporting a wide toothy grin across his face. "That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all."

Akagawa stifled back laughter when he saw Midoriya nearly cry from relief. Meanwhile, Yaoyorozu commented she knew it was a ploy all along and regretted not informing those that were obviously shaken up about the lie. Of course, Akagawa believes that Aizawa certainly would've expelled 20th place, but once he saw potential in Midoriya, he probably just changed his mind.

"That's it, we're done for today. Go back to the classroom and grab a syllabus and read it by tomorrow morning." Aizawa shuffled toward Midoriya, handing him a piece of paper. "Midoriya, take this to the old lady to fix you up. Things are gonna be tougher tomorrow when your actual training begins... make sure you're prepared."

"Okay!" Midoriya exclaimed.

"Akagawa, as for that thing I want you to do." He gained Akagawa's attention, who was working his way off the ground.

"I thought that the thing was me going in front of the class for the softball throw." Akagawa pouted, not wanting to do whatever heroic or school-related thing Aizawa would surely ask from him.

"No. That was genuinely an example for the class. All I want you to do is write me a one paragraph essay about why you want and should become a hero." Aizawa told him.

"And if I decline?"

"What, you wanna waste my time and stay after school? Or are you willing to show up an hour early tomorrow morning?"

"...I'll do the essay." Akagawa sighed. Aizawa nodded and began walking away as Akagawa muttered. "Just don't expect much."

"I look forward to it." Aizawa said, signaling that he heard, making Akagawa roll his eyes.

Akagawa's attention then turned to Midoriya, who now began to head for the nurse, departing from a conversation between himself, Uraraka, and Iida. Akagawa smiled and called the broccoli boy by his nickname, Midori, causing Midoriya to shiver with nervousness as he waited for his classmate to catch up to him.

"Mind if I accompany you? I want to see if I can find the nurse's office on my own, and I'll need assistance when I inevitably get lost."

"Ah, sure thing, Akagawa!" Midoriya exclaimed nervously.

"Then let's go, shall we." Akagawa said, leading them into the building far after the rest of their class. It was silent between them until they reached the other side of the stairs, where nobody was around them.

"So..." Akagawa began. "did anyone out there catch your eye?"

"Huh? W-What do you mean?"

"I meant Quirk-wise, not crush-wise, if that's what you were thinking." Akagawa chuckled.

"Oh, right! Uh, well, they all have such unique Quirks! Like Uraraka's gravity, Iida's speed, and Kacchan is as strong as ever..." Midoriya trailed. "What about you, Akagawa? Who's Quirk did you like?"

"Like you said, they're all cool. Ojiro has a useful tail, but he also knows karate, did you know? I overheard. And Tokoyami seems interesting. But, there is one person in particular that caught my eye the most..."

"Yeah? Who's that?" Midoriya let in a quick gasp as Akagawa turned abruptly with a closed eye smile and jabbed his finger into Midoriya's chest.

"Mi-dor-i-ya!" Akagawa sang his name.

"W-What?" Midoriya backed up a few steps, his red sneakers squeaking in the hallway.

"You, silly!"

"M-Me!?" Midoriya cried.

"Is it really that much of a surprise? You were Quirkless in junior high. That's the entire reason why I saved your ass from Blasty that one time." Akagawa took a few steps closer. "Well? How did you get a Quirk? Was it late? Unknown? Given? Well, well!?"

"I, I- I don't...!" Midoriya cowered, shutting his eyes tightly.

"I'm guessing it's a secret then." Akagawa's tone turned monotone, all life leaving it in an instant. "If that's the case, you don't have to tell me anything."

"R-Really?" Midoriya questioned, finding the change of voice so sudden that it was both unusual and impressive.

"You're an open person, Midori. If you could tell me, you would've done so by now. So that means that that Quirk of yours is top secret, right? I'd be better off not knowing, right?"

"Well...yeah..." Midoriya breathed out.

"Ah, but y'know, Midori. Kacchan will not rest until he finds out the reason why you have a Quirk now."

"I know." Midoriya said sadly before giving the taller male a warm and thankful smile. "Thanks, Akagawa."

"By the way...we're lost, aren't we?"

"Eh!?" Midoriya exclaimed as he looked around at their unfamiliar surroundings.

After finding their way to the nurse's office, Akagawa bid Midoriya farewell before heading to the classroom to grab that syllabus Aizawa was talking about, regardless of whether or not he was actually planning on doing it. He also needed to retrieve his duffel bag, which contained his clothes, and his handbag which contained his "school supplies". Which was a notebook, a singular pen, numerous chocolate bars and two yaoi manga's. Yep, that's typical school supplies for Akagawa Masumi.

"Hey, Akagawa!" Sero's voice exclaimed as soon as the redhead entered the classroom. Akagawa waved as he went to their lockers to grab his bags from inside.

Kaminari and Sero approached as he did so. "You did a good job out there!" Sero exclaimed.

"Yeah, your Quirk seemed like it was handy for just about every test!" Kaminari pointed out with a smile.

"Thanks." Akagawa said, opening his handbag and peering inside. "Your tape seems cool. I don't remember seeing your Quirk, though, Kaminari."

"It's electricity. Not very handy physically." Kaminari chuckled.

"I see." Akagawa said and shoved a chocolate bar into his mouth before turning toward the two with more. "Kinda like Pikachu from that one cartoon. Hey, want some?"

"Hell yeah!" Kaminari exclaimed, forgetting the first part of Akagawa's sentence. "Never pass up free chocolate. That's my motto."

"Thanks, Akagawa!" Sero exclaimed.

"No problem! I've gotta go now, though. See you guys tomorrow, when classes really start!" Akagawa exclaimed as he left the classroom. "Try not to let them break you."

"Y-Yeah..." Sero replied, having a new feeling of fear from the seemingly mocking sentence that left the cherry headed boy's lips upon leaving. He turned toward Kaminari questioningly, who just shrugged and chomped down onto his chocolate bar.

Akagawa smiled to himself as he munched on his chocolate and changed in the locker rooms. When he entered the locker room, he was met with a shirtless Bakugou, who grumbled and scowled upon seeing Akagawa. Akagawa only chuckled in response and began to change into his casual clothes.

"I'm just changing, I swear. No need to get all angry at me." Akagawa said with a sly smirk. "You kinda look like a angry little Pomeranian puppy."

"The fuck did you just say!?" Bakugou growled. "Don't call me a fucking dog, Killstealer! You're always talking some crap, but will you be able to back up your words with some action?" Bakugou spat. "Of course not! Cos' you're just a stupid loser!"

"Hey, that kinda hurt! It was just an analogy. It's not like I'd ever refer to you as that. It's too long of a name. Your name is Blasty anyway, and I only give one nickname to people, so you're stuck with that! Besides, it's perfect!" Akagawa exclaimed. "But...if it is a fight you want, Blasty...I can do that for you."

"You're so fucking annoying. Yeah, I wanna fight. Let's go." Bakugou stated as he shoved his uniform angrily into his bag, finished getting dressed, and glaring at Akagawa.

"Well, I'm half naked, Blasty. Might not look too good if someone saw us." A shirtless Akagawa smirked. "Actually, it might look too good-"

"Forget it." Bakugou grimaced with an uneasy expression stuck on his face. Akagawa pulled his red hoodie over his head and peered over at Bakugou as he shoved his bag around his torso and headed toward the exit quickly, not wanting to spend another second with the relentless Akagawa.

"Eh? You're not gonna fight me? I was just kidding." Akagawa caught the male's attention just as his hand landed against the door. "Maybe you feel embarrassed? Did I embarrass you? It wasn't my intention. Hey, hey, Blasty, are you sensitive?"

Bakugou gritted his teeth together as he whipped around at a smirking Akagawa. "You didn't embarrass shit, idiot! If anything, you've just made your time at this school utter hell! I swear, I will make you regret signing up for this school!"

"You mean when you become the Number One Hero?" Akagawa questioned, fixing his sneakers before approaching Bakugou, smirking up at the slightly taller male. "I can't wait to see it. You'll be all over television, magazines, the internet! Everyone will know the name-! Hey, what will your hero name be?"

"Bastard!" Bakugou pushed Akagawa back. "Don't patronize me! You'll see soon what I mean, when I beat your ass, you damn nuisance!"

Bakugou shouted as he stormed out of the locker room before Akagawa could do anything further. Akagawa blinked after he left, a curious expression plastered on his face as he wondered what Bakugou meant exactly. Akagawa then sighed and grabbed his bag, making sure to wait a bit so that he doesn't catch up to Bakugou on his way home.
