"Aww, what the heck? Why am I back to me?" The two boys shrugged at Kaminari's concerned question. He looked back at the watch but it's edges on the plate were red now, disrupting the continuous yellow pattern all around. He pressed on the plate, with the holographic display coming up with a caution sign and lacking the faces he saw before.

'What!? Is it broken now? It didn't give this before!' He pressed the buttons on the side, with only a beep to confirm he was unable to activate it again. All the hope of being Ampfibian went down the drain. The prospect of using his quirk with control along with stretchy arms seemed far now.

"Well, I guess there's that. Are you sure you can't take that off?" Sero asked. He nodded no, and Kirishima took his hand. He raised his other and sharpened it. Kaminari turned away, bracing himself. He felt Kirishima strike the strap and luckily didn't take off his hand. He looked back at the watch, which looked perfectly intact. He looked at Kirishima, who was looking at his hand.

He had softened his hand because the tips of his fingers were ripped and bloody. The trio looked at the watch on his hand with new levels of concern.

As if basically giving Kaminari a new quirk wasn't the concerning part.

"I have a feeling it's staying on your wrist dude." Sero guessed as he pulled out some tape and made some makeshift bandages for Kirishima's fingers. Kaminari sighed at the watch's seemingly invincible nature and pulled his sleeve over it, which strangely didn't get stuck under the watch.

"This is weird… I think we're stuck in a fever dream." Kaminari said with a sense of bewilderment.

"Well, let's just get home and we'll see what it can do tomorrow. Alright?" Sero reasoned. Kirishima and Kaminari nodded and made their way out of the crater.

"Why do you think this thing was in that pod?" Kaminari asked, to be answered with a shrug from Kirishima. Sero chuckled.

"Maybe it's a quirk mutator that they made years ago. Kaminari can just go into a power mode." Sero explained. Kaminari looked at the watch and smiled. It didn't know how long he was that thing, but it does seem cool that he was able to transform into it.

"Like Trigger?" Kirishima asked.

"Uh, I don't think so. I don't think Trigger can alter your body to the degree it did Kaminari." Sero thought. Kaminari gulped at the prospect. Thankfully it wasn't permanent now that he thought about it, since he did like walking without feeling like a breeze could knock him over.

"Plus, that looked like a government probe. No way they would willingly put Trigger in it." Sero finished as they grabbed their bags again. They nodded to his claim, but it stirred unrest in Kaminari.

He just had that feeling that there was more to the eye to this device than what he just experienced.

"Sir, there seems to have been an abnormal energy spike that occurred on the planet. Apparently in the earth country of Japan." Vilgax didn't move but he was grateful inside. The rumors were true. The device really did change the body of the user.

If he could laugh, he would. He would cry out in excitement. Even if he was the most feared person in the galaxy, he didn't want to stop there. He wanted it all, he wanted glory. Power. Fame. Everything.

He wanted to prove everyone wrong.

But now he had to play his next moves strategically.

"Bring up anything in the country. I want a run down of what to expect. Now." He ordered, and a worker nodded. A couple of small screens came down, flashing a few images of large humans, both physically in muscle mass and in height.

"It appears with the human's quirk abilities, a era of heroism sparked-" A worker began to explain before he heard the low growl of Vilgax.

"I know that! Give me current information about the damn country! The heroes, their abilities, laws, conflicts, anything!" He shouted. The drone nodded and a smiling face of a blonde haired human came on screen.

"All Might, according to records here he is Earth's mightiest champion. While his quirk is unknown, it appears to bolster his physicality to surreal levels of power, most likely able to overpower even you." The worker pressed a button, and a scene of the man laughing as he hauled bodies of unconscious civilians over his shoulders.

"He's.. He's already saved 100 people and it's not even been 5 minutes!" A panicked voice over the video's feed. The video stopped as it zoomed on his face, shifting to another as it showed the man flying over a rather simple looking metropolis, throwing his fists around, with the resulting air flow causing missiles to lose their trajectory and crash into each other.

'His strength seems to be more vast than anything I have ever seen.. I wouldn't be surprised if he could rival a To'kustar in raw power.' Vilgax thought. He slightly shifted his head, signalling to switch videos. It showed something interesting. He seemed to be shielding what looked to be a human child in a burning street from a pile of green sludge. He didn't know if it was a Polymorph or some other species he couldn't recall off the top of his head or just some human and his quirk.

He really hated how the quirks made some humans look like aliens.

He watched the screen as the man seemed to grab someone from inside the slime, perhaps a hostage of the criminal. He grabbed the boy behind him with the same hand and brought his other down. The resulting shockwave created a cyclone, making many on-lookers and what he assumed was heroes with their ridiculous outfits fall over and be pushed back. The fires around him were snuffed out in an instant and the clouds around them were ripped apart and twirled around his punch. He watched with interest, as the clouds began to reform and darkened. Despite the quality of the video, he did manage to hear the sound of rain falling.

'He changed the air pressure with that punch!? Who is the human?' He thought. Never in his years of conquest and combat did he meet someone who could demonstrate a feat of strength like that.

"Any apparent weaknesses? Flaws? Anything we could use to combat him?" He questioned.

"Not anything we can see. He has little on records, with all we have is his name being Toshinori Yagi. The name of his ability is missing too. Although, he does seem to be less prevalent in society, despite his fame. Records have him only appearing for around a couple of hours as opposed to a few years prior, where he could be seen all day." Vilgax thought about the info for a moment before continuing.

"When was the first time he appeared?" He asked.

"40 years." The worker replied. Vilgax nodded to it. Old age must be catching up to the human, most likely tiring out his body faster than what it used to be.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"He appears to have become an instructor at a academy called Yuuei, commonly called U.A. He seems to serve as a heroic teacher." Vilgax breathed out. Humans and their heroics. They get that genetic mutation and all the sudden they now think they are heroes. Their planet still has level 2 tech if he remembered correctly, so they have no sense of how the galaxy functions outside of their petty solar system.

"Anything else?"

"Well, they seem to have some of the greatest heroes in the world protecting it, so it's likely one of them found and acquired the Omnitrix." A worker theorized. Vilgax nodded.

"What is the status on the drone?" He asked.

"It's approaching the planet called Jupiter. It's estimated to be there by the next afternoon of Earth." Vilgax was quiet as he thought for a moment.

"What about our offers for bounty hunters?"

"So far, we have accepted an offer from SixSix and we have two pending offers." Vilgax smiled in his head. SixSix is one of the most infamous bounty hunters in the galaxy. He was once hired to kill him, but failed to do so. He knew he was capable, so he felt a sense of joy in his offer.

"Who are the other two?"

"The first is Kraab. He wants a couple million tayden's for the job." Vilgax grumbled. He wasn't the biggest fan of the hunter because he just wouldn't shut up about hunting and worthy prey.

"You sure we can't get Khyber instead?" He asked. The worker typed for a moment before shaking his head.

"He seems busy with something else." Vilgax sighed. Well, at least Kraab was cheap. For him at least.

"And the last?"

"A new face. He goes by Turning. He has a few bounties under his belt, but other than that he is relatively unknown." Vilgax squinted.

"Do you know what he is?" He asked the worker. He shook his head and Vilgax thought for a second.

"How much is he asking for?"

"Barely over a thousand." Vilgax's eyes widened in shock. Only a thousand? Something was off here. The low pay and new status sent off red sirens in his head. There was something else at play here, or this Turning is just cocky.

Well, he did applaud for his bravery to try and work under him.

"Fine. Tell those three to be here as soon as possible." The worker nodded and resumed typing. Vilgax stared at the screen with the image of man, All Might.

'Just who has the Omnitrix…'

The walk to the train station was strangely quiet. Kaminari kept glancing at the watch, seeing if it would do something. Sero and Kirishima did the same, occasionally glancing at it to see what it would do.

Kaminari looked behind him, surprisingly not seeing or hearing any law enforcement or military at the crash site, even if they were several blocks away at this point. As they got to the station, the trio looked at each other.

"Well, see you guys tomorrow." Sero waved before taking a few steps forward.

"Wait, what will we do with this thing? Shouldn't we look more into this?" Kaminari held up his arm to prove his point. The watch beeped, and the red color shifted back to it's yellow. He looked back at it with shock.

"Now you're back to normal?!" He yelled at it which caused a few people to glance at him.

"Well at least keep it down." Kirishima pleaded. Kaminari sighed.

"Just don't kill anyone before tomorrow. We'll see how it goes tomorrow." Sero reasoned. Kaminari hestiently nodded after a few moments. Sero waved and walked away. Kirishima said his goodbye and left him as well. Kaminari sighed and walked into the station, waiting for his train. He then felt a buzz in his pocket. He reached down and grabbed his phone. He looked at the notification and grimaced.

His parents wanted to know where he was.

"Oh god, oh god." He began furiously typing out a text for them as his train pulled up. He made his way to a seat and began to fix the many typos and autocorrects his phone did into slang terms. He hit send, telling them he had just arrived at the station and was on the train home.

The train lynched forward as he hit send. He watched in fear as the message status turned to read. He waited and watched as the texting symbol appeared from his parents.

"We'll talk when you get home."

Kaminari sighed as his stomach sank. He was certainly going to get yelled at when he got home for missing curfew. He would have to reason with them that school went beyond the usual 3 pm let out to get them more accustomed to school and the heroics course.

He sighed and slumped, quickly pocketing his phone. He looked at the new watch and glanced around. Most of the other people were either absorbed into their phones or sleeping. Surely a holographic watch wouldn't cause any ideas, would it?

He tapped the faceplate of the watch, the hologram springing up again. The face of Ampfibian was under the square as it began to shift. He watched and observed the faces of the other creatures. Some had heads that came to a point, and other's didn't. Some had extra parts coming off their heads as well.

'Wait, if I could turn into Ampfibian, does this mean each of these faces are different forms as well?' He thought. The prospect of having ten forms to enhance his quirk seemed strange. And amazing.

Wait, what if they had different abilities? Ampfibian could stretch his tendrils out. Who's to say all his forms have electric powers? What if he has super strength? Flight? Maybe even something weirder? Like a water quirk?

He began to feel giddy as he took his fingers off the watch. 10 other powers… this year will be interesting.

Maybe he could use the watch to become top of the class. Ampfibian seems to remove all his weaknesses at the cost of mobility and maybe durability.

Wait, does that even matter? He doesn't seem to have bones to break in the first place as Ampfibian. Does he even have organs? If he remembered correctly, jellyfish don't actually have organs.

Maybe he'll look it up later.

The walk up to his house's front steps made it seem like he had lead in his shoes. He moved his sleeve to cover the watch, to not cause his parents any concern over the fact their son basically got a top of the line quirk enhancer.

Maybe it is the quirk enhancer.

He grabbed the door handle and pushed it open as quietly as he could. The lights were turned off, which didn't help his nerves. If this is like any movie he saw with his dad, the two of them were sitting in the dining room and turn on the light when he gets to the staircase.

He tiptoed his way to the dining room and braced himself.

"You two can stop now." He said into the darkness.

"Dang it." The voice of his father said a few feet off. He heard the click of the switch as the lights came on, with his father sitting at the end of the table and his mom behind him next to the switch.

"I don't understand why you had to do this Atsu." His mom said with a sense of annoyance and his dad chuckled.

"I just thought it would be fun." He mumbled. Kaminari sighed at his parent's antics.

His dad was nearly a splitting image of him, with the exception of the lightning bolt on his hair, different eye color and with a more masculine frame. Personality wise? They were also pretty similar as well. The only exception was that his dad seemed to like the older stuff over the newer stuff in the media.

His mom was a near polar opposite. Black hair that was tied in a ponytail and a more serious demeanor. Unlike his dad, Kaminari looked almost nothing like her, with only eye color being shared between them. Their quirks were pretty similar, with the exception his mother expelled raw energy rather than electricity and didn't fry her brain when she used it. His dad is where he got the electricity from, as he could improve the charge of technology with electricity from his body.

"Anyway, why were you so late, young man?" His mother interrogated him. Kaminari gulped.

"I uh, had to be held back for school. That's all." He said. His parents looked at each other.

"Please tell me you didn't get detention on the first day." His dad asked.

"What?! No! They just had us stay for more work and to get us more informed on how the school day would work." He said to defend himself. He told the truth but left out the part with the watch and nearly got crushed by a space pod.

"Are you sure?" His mother pressured. He nodded and the two stared at him intensely. Kaminari began to feel fidgety and begged for it to end. His dad smiled and chuckled.

"Well, did you at least get something to eat?" His dad asked. He nodded, thinking about the nice meal Lunch Rush had given them before they walked off.

"Well then, good night. Me and your dad are going to bed. Do any homework you have, alright?" Kaminari mentally sighed and nodded. His parents waved him goodbye and walked past him up the stairs. He sighed and threw his bag on the couch.

He pulled out his phone and took a seat in the chair. He began to scroll through the internet and videos. He didn't see anything about the crash so maybe no one has found it yet. Which feels off as the thing was huge when it crashed from orbit.

After a bit, he set his phone down and wandered to the fridge. He opened it and rummaged through its contents seeing if he could find anything to eat. He leaned over and glanced at the counter. He spotted a container of green muffins and mentally hurled.

'God, Mom made her muffins again. I guess I know when I'm leaving for school tomorrow. Might as well go to bed' He thought with disgust as he closed the fridge. He looked at his watch and an idea formed.

'Or maybe… I'll stay up a little later…' He thought. He flicked the lights off and using muscle memory made his way upstairs to his room. He closed the door and grabbed the assortment of dirty laundry he had yet to clean and stuffed it at the crack of the door. He turned the lamp next to him, illuminating his messy and chaotic room. He looked down at the watch and pressed the side buttons. The yellow dial came up again, and he pressed it again.

The yellow flash illuminated his room, and he looked down at his arm, expecting to see tendrils again.

Only he saw a large hand, with glowing yellow lines that seemed to form into lightning bolts. He looked down at himself, instead of being a jellyfish he was some black and yellow blob. The yellow and black seemed to alternate, with the back of his hands being black with yellow lines and his stomach being the opposite, yellow with black lines. He looked over and grabbed a small mirror he had stashed in his room and looked at his face.

Except he didn't actually have one, instead being a small extension of what looked to be a neck with the watch's hourglass symbol on the front, looking like a single eye.

"Ok, this is weird- Oh hey! My voice is different!" His voice didn't sound like Ampfibian's but instead sounded like he was speaking through a radio. He set the mirror down and looked at his hands.

"Well, I wonder what this guy can do." He held his hands out, and focused on his quirk like he did with Ampfibian. Except there wasn't any electricity that came out.

"Ok… what can this guy actually do?" He looked down and poked himself, shivering at the small ripple he caused. That formed an idea in his head. He looked at his hand and thought of a hole through the middle. He watched as it slowly formed until it looked like a baseball could easily fit through it. He thought of his hand back to normal, and the hole closed.

"Oh awesome! I'm like a blob of goo! This is cool!" He walked over to his window and opened it, but instead of crawling out of it, he sort of spilled out of it and grabbed the rooftop. Unlike his normal body, he didn't seem to have any trouble holding himself up. He didn't bother with pulling himself up, instead he just thought of him reforming up there. He moved up until he was at the top of his roof and he looked over his neighborhood. It was quiet and serene, which made him feel at ease. He sat down and patted his sides, in a muscle memory attempt to pull out his phone.

But he wasn't wearing pants anymore so he couldn't.

"Alright, what should I name this guy?" He scratched what he assumed would be his chin as he tried to form an idea.

"Blob? No.. too basic. Bubble? Wait no.. sound too kiddy. Maybe Goop? I think that could work but it just doesn't feel right." He tapped the thing on his face, the faceplate. It did make a satisfying tinking sound if he was being honest.

He looked at the tinkle in the stars and felt happy.

He felt like he was at the top of the world.

He sat there for a while, just messing around making random holes appear and disappear on his body until the watch turned him back after a beeping and red flash. He figured there might be a time limit, as he just sat on the roof until the thing recharged and allowed him to become the blob again to enter his room once more. He just rolled into his bed and fell asleep as the blob.

When he woke up in the morning, he was still in his school uniform and was human again. He quickly remembered the muffins in the kitchen and it spurred him to get ready. He threw on some body spray to pass as him showering and ran downstairs to grab his bag. His dad was up and munching on one of the muffins, likely ready to go to work.

He still doesn't get how his parents like those disgusting things.

He bolted out the door after saying morning to his dad and ran as fast as he could to the station. He managed to beat the early surge of workers thankfully and managed to get on a relatively empty train. He pulled out his phone and tried to turn it on. When it didn't he sighed and pulled out the cord. He plugged it in and bit down on the other. He began to channel his quirk through his teeth, and by extension the phone. He guessed not throwing it onto the charger last night killed it. Luckily, his quirk turned him into a mobile charging station so he never had to worry about dead phones or electronics.

After a while, the train stopped and he got off. He decided to not travel through the forest like they did last night and walked along the long way. He pulled the cord out of his mouth and wiped it on his uniform and pocketed it. He turned it on and browsed the internet, looking for more info on the crash site. Nothing seemed to come up again.

That seemed weird. How did no one find the fact it landed here? And it's boom was massive too.

He glanced up to see the spiky red hair of Kirishima as he stood and looked at the school. Kaminari pocketed his phone and ran to his side.

"Oh hey, Kirishima! I have something to tell… you.." He looked at where Kirishima was staring and stopped in the same sense of astonishment as he did.

"That's.. A lot of people." Kaminari mumbled with Kirishima nodding. In front of them were what looked to be a hundred people flocked to the gates of their school. Almost everyone had a camera, microphone or notebook with them.

Paparazzi.

"You wouldn't happen to know why they are here? Do you?" Kaminari asked him in a hushed voice, scared to draw attention from the paparazzi.

"I think they are here for All Might." He said with the same tone of quiet. Kaminari thought for a second.

"How did they figure it out? We didn't know until he walked into our classroom?" He questioned.

"I think some kid might have talked about it online. Gained traction, that sort of thing." Kirishima said.

"Wait! Over here!" Kirishima and Kaminari glanced over and watched as a small squad of reporters surged towards them, with their mics and cameras pointed outwards to them.

"What's it like having All Might as a teacher!?"

"What are your quirks!?"

"Are all your teachers heroes? You think they can come out for an interview?"

An influx of people and questions caused the duo to buck up and wave their hands in defense. They tried to answer the questions as they came, but each one resulted in 4 more. Eventually Kirishima grabbed Kaminari and began to push his way through the reporters to the school. Sure they had numbers, but Kirishima was far stronger than any of them, even if he was dragging Kaminari behind him.

Eventually, they lost interest as more students came and the two of them walked to their class. They looked at the students present, which was the bird guy Tokoyami, the creation girl Yaoyorozu and Sero, who waved them over.

"Pretty crazy huh?" He asked as they walked over and stood by their desks, which was strange since they were all right next to each other almost.

"Yeah, I had to push us through the crowd to get through. How did you get in?" Sero pointed towards the window. The two looked through and saw the flapping of a piece of cloth on the edge of the wall.

"When you quirk is also helpful for mobility, you tend to use it." Sero chuckled. Kirishima sighed.

"At least you have a multi-use quirk. My hardening is only really good for combat." Kirishima said with a tinge of self loathing. Kaminari looked at him with concern.

"Really? I thought your quirk was pretty cool. Good defensively and offensively. You're like the embodiment of a tank class." He reasoned, trying to get his hopes up. Kirishima scoffed.

"Yeah, well you have an even more flashy quirk, with your buddy and all." He reasoned. Kaminari chuckled.

"Two actually." Sero and Kirishima looked at him before it dawned on them.

"You used a new guy? What was he like?" Sero whispered. More and more students began to walk in and talk amongst themselves, leaving the trio to talk quietly about the events of last night.

"Well, he was like some weird yellow and black blob. If I'm being honest, I just spent like ten minutes messing around and making holes in my body the entire time." Kaminari said. The two were quiet and thought for a second.

"Did you name it?" Kirishima asked.

"Nah, I couldn't settle on anything. Maybe I'll figure something out later." He reasoned, taking a glance at the watch with a smile.

"Huh, maybe we'll see what it can do later. Met back at the crash site? I haven't heard anyone going there and investigating." Kirishima proposed with a sense of restored confidence.

"Well, let's just have a normal day." Kaminari reasoned.

And it was not normal by any means.

Shortly after class started, they had to pick a class president. After a shouting match that Kaminari will full on admit he partook in, it was decided everyone would have 1 vote and pick who they wanted to be president and vice president. Kaminari, like most, voted for himself. And like most, only had a single vote to his name. It ended with the shy Midoriya getting class president due to his performance against Bakugo yesterday and Yaoyorozu getting vice president. Midoriya didn't seem to enjoy this, and reasoned that he be switched out with Yaoyorozu or someone like Iida, who had originally proposed the idea for a voting system for the president.

Then the day went ok, until foreign languages. Throughout the lesson, he was really confused as to why Present Mic was speaking Japanese the entire time but writing in the language he was teaching, which Kaminari assumed was Spanish. He stayed quiet, but remained confused through the class.

Then came lunch, and instead of flocking around and mingling with some girls, he sat with Sero and Kirishima, with the latter seeming to have formed a friendship with Bakugo, which seemed to be a testament to Kirishima's charisma. Although, because the explosive teen was sitting with them, they were unable to talk about the watch and explain their game plan for later.

And then the alarm went off.

After surviving the stampede caused in the panic, Kaminari learned that the alarm was set off by some of the paparazzi breaking onto school grounds looking for All Might. After getting them off the property with the impression that the law was in the right to arrest them for trespassing on government funded property, they quickly ran away, likely to write stories about the cruelty of UA that no one would listen to.

Unlike the day prior, their heroic class had them review basic laws, mainly quirk regulation. Kaminari buzzed them out as he fiddled with his pencil and tapped it. It didn't interest him, as his thoughts drifted towards Ampfibian and the blob. Maybe Ampfibian can make the electric sword he always wanted to make with Electrification or maybe the blob can make one out of his own body.

Still gotta find a good name for him.

Soon the day was over, and thankfully it was Friday which was weird for them to start school on a Thursday and not something like a Tuesday. The trio met up again and began to make a beeline for the crash site to test out the watch again.

"What do you think Ampfibian's limits are? You think we share a weakness?" Kaminari asked them as he trailed behind.

"I don't know, but I'm interested in seeing the new guy!" Sero said. The trio rounded the corner and began to run down the same wooden path but they quickly noticed something different.

At least their noses did.

"Oh! Who farted?" Kaminari asked the two while plugging up his nose.

"Not me! Probably Sero!" Kirishima deflected and Sero looked at him in shock.

"I don't think I could ever make something this rancid!" Sero yelled. Kaminari unplugged his nose and sniffed the air.

It certainly wasn't coming from any of them.. But rather further up the trail.

"I think someone is here…" He began before something else caught his eye in the sky.

Another comet was falling, although this one was much more massive than the other. The other two caught wind of this and stared at it in shock as it came crashing down.

Then the screams came.

One moment Kaminari was standing there in awe, and in the next he had thrown his backpack off and was sprinting towards the opening with Sero and Kirishima in tow. There was a boom as the crash resulted in a small quake, and the trio stumbling for a brief moment.

They came to the clearing as they saw smoke come up from a nearly formed creator. Kaminari looked towards the edge, where he almost mistakenly thought some abnormal plants had grown.

No, he watched as they moved back. Three of them in total, two looked to be adults and one was small like a child. They had red flowers on their head, with the two adults looking like theirs had blossomed. One of them seemed to have a skirt that alternated between red and yellow petals.

Civilians.

The sound of whirring directed the attention of the boys to the pit, as a large red clawed hand came out of the smoke and slammed into the ground, causing it to rumble. They watched in fear as a giant figure rose out of the smoke and stared directly at them.

"Oh me and my big mouth." Kaminari mumbled.
