And now, he was heading home. All in all, it was a hectic day for one Hatake Kakashi. Their travels had taken them far. They had gone to the ruins of Land of Whirlpools, though that was not their original destination. They spent a few months there before moving on to Demon country.

What Kakashi discovered there was… big, to say the least. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he noted that big could not begin to describe how stunning what they found out was.

He got tired of running. He fell to the streets below, startling a large amount of the populace. When you lived in a ninja village, you gained a healthy amount of paranoia. He began walking, away from the residential district, in the general direction of the clan houses. Yet as he moved, again he felt bored. Hands reaching into his pouch, he pulled out his trustee orange book and opened to the last marker.

"He he Kuroka-chan, you're so naughty." He giggled to himself.

"The weapon has now been inducted into the Shinobi corps, sir. He is to serve alongside the current graduating year that of the Uchiha and the other clan heirs." A form shrouded in darkness reported to another who sat at a desk, its chair and user facing way from the one giving said report

"Yes, I thought as much, Sarutobi has made his move, we shall bide our time, but soon the jinchuruki will be mine." A gravelly, coarse voice called from the darkness, his fist clenched tightly.

"Contact our allies in rice, its time I due time I meet with him" The voice growled out. The standing man bowed and flashed away.

~Damned Namikaze~

The Namikaze mansion stood in all its imposing glory. It was an oriental styled building yet simple in its outlook. A small path ran inwards till it met a metallic yellow gate with the clan symbol emblazoned in the middle, conjoining the two sides. On the inside was a large courtyard where a visible road formed leading to a large river which cut across the whole compound. A bridge went over that, further ahead was the building itself. Unlike other clans which either had different situated houses like the Uchiha and Nara, or large separated buildings (Hyuuga) the Namikaze mansion had but one, extensive building.

On the inside, there was a common area or living room. It had seats spread out across the room, being able to seat up to 25 people if need be. A small archway led to a dining area wide enough to accommodate 40 eaters. But due to the fact that the previous occupants were of two, most of the table had been covered in dust. Stairs led up from both sides of the common area, stretching up to the second (obviously) floor. On mentioned floor the hallway stretched encompass in the entirety of the building, rooms on either side. If the rooms were opened it would be noted that the rooms were as big as the office of the Fire Shadow.

But with all the glam the mansion came with, at the moment, yet again it had only two residents therefore the residents occupied the…clan head's house.

Located behind the main building; as opposed to the norm of the clan's head being in front, the house currently housing our young Namikaze and his brother/guardian was a simpler styled house. It was a small living room capable of comfortably seating 7 people at a time, a dining area with a con-joined kitchen. Another set of stairs led up to its 4 bedrooms each having a balcony and adjoined bathrooms; all in all, it was a pretty sweet house.

We, the audiences who unobtrusively pry into the lives of our favorite inter dimensional heroes, would find this world's hero, the cloaked Naruto seated at the dining table alongside his adoptive brother, the one and only Kakashi.

The older male had changed out of his torn and scuffed attire and is currently dressed in a black muscle shirt, showing of his toned body, and baggy pants. Unsurprisingly he still had on his face mask.

"…And after that, I had to haul his heavy, unconscious ass to the hospital. He owes me big-time, meh, not like I care" he narrated to his singular audience, Naruto (and us).

Naruto had taken off the cloak which held hid darkness seal, allowing his face to be revealed to the world. He had long, blonde, shaggy hair with extensive bangs, like that of his father. A tanned, angular face emerged from the curtain of gold. He looked like a photocopy of his father, only with whisker like marks and rounder eyes. He calmly ate his dinner; even as he listened to his brother describe his spar with the bothersome Gai.

"I'll be meeting my sensei tomorrow" he spoke after sometime.

"Oh, really" Kakashi tried his best to sound surprised. Seemed Naruto wasn't informed that the cells were made up of 3 genins and a jounin. Though Naruto was far beyond genin, and could possibly take on an experienced A-class Shinobi with his limiter seals off. It was going to be a surprise to him when he found out. Pleasant or otherwise, that was anyone's guess.

"It would most probably be you, but seeing as we've recently come back from a training trip, I might be assigned to someone else."

The last living Hatake sighed yet again. "I should curb that habit, else who knows what will happen next. I might start saying troublesome to everything." He thought to himself.

It did not take long for the duo to clear the table and retire to bed, the advantage of being only two in a household.

~Damned Namikaze~

Morning came late in the Namikaze clan house, seeing as its two inhabitants were up way before the sun peaked over the horizon. That morning they had discovered the training grounds and put it to good use. A sparring session that lasted until the sky transformed from dawn, to having a dull glowing ball in the sky. At that point, Kakashi figured it was about 7 o'clock and stopped the spar. They went in to prepare for the day, finishing up successfully in less than 30 minutes. Breakfast was a small and easily settled affair, some tea, eggs and pancakes and they were good to go.

As they left the safety of the clan compound, Naruto turned about and locked the gates using chakra. Everything was set, they could leave.

Whoosh

A needle like projectile flew at Kakashi's masked face; the man's outstretched hand caught it before it had any possible chance of impaling his face. They turned to face a collection of trees off to the side, even as the underbrush shook with the presence of something or someone. Not a second later, a hail of said projectile flew at the duo who busied themselves with dodging… each and every one, effortlessly.

The onslaught stopped.

The set tensed.

Suddenly a large form bowled Naruto over as Kakashi slowly relaxed. He looked to the side to see the younger Namikaze being smothered by a large, large wolf.

His name was Tsukaze.

He was a white bodied wolf with grey belly and three grey stripes extending from his face to his tail, gradually getting wider. Naruto had picked him up during the time they spent in the ancestral island of the Uzumaki's. Then he had been a pup, now… he was so big he came up to Naruto's waist which was no small feat.

His traveling partner was finally given respite Tsukaze finally allowing him to get off the ground. Naruto dusted himself.

"I'm really happy to see you too"

Kakashi knew he meant it, but the happy tone that should have accompanied the sentence was absent making it sound like the voice of someone who had forgotten how to be happy.

"Well it wouldn't be far off" he thought to himself.

They walked into towards the central part of the village; that is, the Hokage tower. On their way, Kakashi split up with the Namikaze and his partner heading to the colossal tower. Whereas the Yondaime's legacy and his uber dangerous pet went to the academy for what would no doubt be the greatest surprise of his life? Well, probably the second, or was it the third, meh, he didn't keep track.

His mind went back to the red eyed kunoichi from the day before; damn those were some huge knockers. And with that thought he pulled out his orange bodied companion.

~Damned Namikaze~

In the classroom which played host to the graduating students/ soon to be ninjas, everyone was staring at the new dude. When he came in yesterday, at first it seemed legit which caused uproar amongst most of the students, but then he just up and left, so many of them dismissed the notion that a guy without prior academic training would be allowed to become a ninja.

Ah, if only they knew, but as it's said 'Blissful Ignorance'.

So they were shocked when the same guy, they assumed he was the same; because, come on, big ass cloak and hood covering any identifiable characteristics, walked into the class yet again. Only this time, trailing him was a white and grey bodied wolf big enough to reach up to where they assumed his waist was.

The above mentioned wolf looked big enough to swallow the dog belonging to the resident Inuzuka. All was silent, the boy/ dude/ wannabe ninja, whichever you decided standing near the class entrance as his hood seemed to scan the entire class at a time. The tension was broken by the Inuzuka's partner

"Bark, Bark how'd you get so big?" he asked in canine tongue

"Growl, Bark," was his reply translating to "master has large chakra, what about yours"

"Whine, Whine," his distant cousin seemed to nod in pity.

Naruto and his intimidating partner climbed the steps coming across a few empty seats, but none at the edge. They needed one there because Tsukaze was too large to be carried.

Finally towards the very back, they came across two. One on the right by a dark haired boy who looked like a building fell on his dog.

And he was currently being ogled by 95% of the female class population.

He quickly turned to the left, he felt sorry for the young man, although he didn't show it, not that it could be seen. Most of those girls looked ready to jump him if he so much as smiled in their general direction. He could even imagine it happening; the look of horror etched on his face, multitude of girls clawing, grabbing, and raking for any piece of skin belonging to the Uchiha as he was dragged beneath the writhing mass of female flesh.

"Yikes," he shivered "that was a fate he wished on no one.

He observed his chosen seat, besides hi would be a girl, she had midnight colored hair that went down to rest above her neck, milky skin, large eyes lacking their pupils and a huge blush.

"Girls are weird" he knew that fact even before he let with Kakashi.

He did not have to wait long before the chunin came to assign the graduates to their cells. He didn't pay much attention till he heard his name, only for his eyes to widen under the impenetrable sealing array.

On instinct, he shushined directly to the office of the man who dared to put him… of all people, on a team with some, BRATS.

~Damned Namikaze~

"So he actually survived, and is now a genin, after having gone on a trip with the Yondaime's student. Am I correct so far?"

"Yes milord, what is our move"

"For now, we let things play out and besides, that meddlesome group is after him so we can't be conspicuous with our moves."

"Yes milord"

"What of the other plans, how are they coming along?"

"Sir" the man sounding more confident "it's progressing faster than expected"

"When do you estimate it would be ready?"

"In about 8 months, sir"

"You may leave." His audience bowed and left through the lone door, "soon Naruto-kun, soon, we will be reunited. Yellow eyes flashed in the shadows of the room.

~Damned Namikaze~

"Everyone is gathered" a blue haired woman spoke up from behind his form.

He nodded, turning to face her. "Do you feeling it coming?" As he spoke he looked upwards, his red hair flowing around him. His face walked forwards, the dim lighting enhancing the pulsing glow of his purple eyes.

She looked to him urging. He sighed even as they walked, his purple eyes flashing almost angrily "soon the whole world shall know pain."

~Damned Namikaze~

Naruto sighed as he sat, his request for a solo team was denied. He could still remember it, he shushined into the Hokage's office and immediately found his person about to be assaulted by 4 swords.

He successfully blocked one, weaved around the other and his unprotected back was covered by Kakashi clenching the tips between his fingers. After the Hokage had acknowledged his presence, although he interrupted the jounin meeting taking place before the new sensei went to collect their teams. He walked up to the old professor and put forth his request only to be rejected, out of his peripheral vision, he saw Kakashi give the Hokage a look like he expected this to happen.

"So that's why he had that look on his face last night" he realized, but that was of little importance.

After some banter, Naruto found himself ordered to stay on the team or become an office ninja. Needless to say, his choice wasn't even thought upon.

So here he was, alongside 5 others waiting their sensei.

Kakashi had the Uchiha, the Inuzuka and a pink haired girl called Sakura. He was on a team with the Hyuuga heiress, who he incidentally sat besides and a Yamanaka, a friend of Sakura's called Ino. Their sensei was to be one Kurenai Yuuhi.

He was the only male on the team he realized soon after. Finally, or three hours later, depending on how you saw it, Kakashi came in with the woman trailing him. His brother called to his team and shushined out while Kurenai motioned for her team to follow her.

On their way out, Naruto had a thought, their sensei was red eyed, and the Hyuuga had soft lavender eyes without pupils, while the Yamanaka had teal eyes, again without pupils and he had the most striking set of blue eyes ever along with Tsukaze's own.

They had a weird team.

~Change of POV~

She led her team plus one to a park automatically while she was lost in thought. She was new to her rank, and so soon she was being entrusted a team to watch over. And it was obvious one of her students did not approve of her, but then he only approved of Kakashi, so it couldn't be that she was not qualified. Would she make great ninjas out of her team? Would she have them lose their lives due to a costly mistake on her part? Such thoughts plagued her mind as she walked ahead of them.

She cleared her mind of doubts and prepared her short speech. They were close to a couple of benches, so she walked over and motioned her team to do the same. When they were comfortable, that is as comfortable as two nervous, jittery girls and an unknown, indifferent boy with a wolf companion could get, she addressed them.

"My name is Yuuhi Kurenai; I like tea, tea ceremonies and my friends, I dislike spicy food, rapists and people who think women are weak. My short term dream is to make you all become renowned ninja in the nearest future, I have others but they aren't relevant. How about you Ino?

The girl flinched as attention was turned to her.

"Well…well, I'm Yamanaka Ino; I like spending time with my friend Sakura, shopping and spending time at my family flower shop and Sasuke-kun," she finished with a huge blush and starry eyes. "I dislike lazy people, idling and foods with lots of calories. My dream, she giggled, is to have a family with Sasuke-kun"

"Okay, that was super weird," she thought, "Hinata, your next."

"Oh," the shy, withdrawn girl looked like she wanted to become invisible, "I'm Hyuuga Hinata, I like tea, cinnamon buns, gardening and flower pressing. I dislike some things about my clan…" at this she received surprised looks from the other female members, and the same blackness from the male's hood "…my dream is to change those things and to become a great kunoichi" she finished with an unusual fire she was not known for.

"Hmm, that's good of her" an admirable dream if she said so. All eyes then shifted to the final and only member of the team

"…I am Naruto…, this is Tsukaze…" there was absolutely no emotion in the sentence, negative nor positive whereas the aforementioned wolf picked its head up and yawned.

When it became obvious that it was the only thing they would get out of the hooded figure, an awkward silence settled over the quartet.

"Very well," Kurenai took back the reigns "we'll be meeting tomorrow. Normally I'm to give you another exam." She smiled at the shocked stares on the faces of her students. Well the mostly visible faces she thought as she glanced towards Naruto.

"Seeing as this is my first assigned team as a jounin, it's compulsory I pass you all. On that note, starting tomorrow, we'll be taking missions, meet me at training ground 17 tomorrow at 10 sharp" she ended.

As soon as she did, her singular testosterone powered student got up and burst into a spray of paper shaped into the Leaf symbol. She raised a delicate eyebrow at the unusual justu, her red eyes tracing the path one took as it gently swayed in the wind.

"Well, that was unexpected." And it really was judging from the shocked looks from the girls, even though they had seen it before.

~Damned Namikaze~

Kakashi sighed as he walked home, orange companion held lightly, but even as he stared at it his mind was replaying his interaction with his new team. The Uchiha was the book definition of a brooder. The civilian girl was book smart, and that was it, all she had were smarts and the 'academy three' as they were called. And then there was the Inuzuka. Even now he felt the urge to groan aloud. He was sure that if Naruto ever had to seat besides the boy for 10 minutes, the boy would lose a leg… or two. He was an arrogant, prideful and reckless brat. But even at that, he had to automatically pass them given as the Uchiha was on the team but more importantly, he had been out of active duty for 6 years. Asuma, the second son of the Hokage shared the same fate as he had been in service of the Daimyo as a member of the twelve. He got an all boys team, the Akimichi, Nara and an Aburame.

What was the Hokage's reasoning for creating such teams? Simple, he wanted to do something different, as soon as he said that, every jounin looked at the elderly Hokage with a face screaming WTF. Kakashi chuckled when he remembered how Naruto barged in demanding a solo team.

The boy reminded so much of his deceased teacher aesthetically and personality wise. Both of them sharing a calm, furious blaze of anger rolled in insanity. If he ever took off his cloak, nobody would believe he wasn't a son or lab grown clone of the man. He could still feel the dangerous aura that rolled of the man when he softly marched past the gathered Shinobi that stood to defy the kyuubi no kitsune.

Maybe… he checked the time using the sun's position; he still had time, next stop, the memorial stone.

~Damned Namikaze~

Naruto walked home, alongside him was Tsukaze. As he walked, civilians and children alike gawked at him with awe, most of them having never seen gentle wild animals that could swallow them whole.

"Hmm, this street looks familiar" he thought to himself.

He soon found the reason why. Ahead of him was the great Ramen emporium; which was the small restaurant that served only ramen of different flavors and toppings. He looked down at his tag-along, who looked back at him questioningly, accusingly.

"I'm only having about 10 bowls" he spoke with conviction, trying to convince both the ninja animal and himself.

He entered, the warmth surrounding him. He noticed that almost immediately all eyes turned to him and people began whispering, although it wasn't the subject of anger and hate directed at him in his earlier years. As he seated himself, his companion sitting at the foot of the table, the bubbly waitress came out to take his order.

Bowls poured out, 1 turned to 13; 13 to 22, then 37, followed by 45, and then… you know what, we stop here for the sake of our sanity. Just be aware he left the ramen temple filling two cash registers and a long roll of coupons in his wallet.

~Damned Namikaze~

Ten figures stood in the darkness situated on projections, their forms seemed to be flickering.

"Kakuzu, what are your reports?"

Off to the side, a hunched form spoke "we have not yet procured enough funds, leader-sama, my charts and records state that-"

"Oi, Kakuzu, stop boring us with your math, just tell us if we got the funds or not" a large man called out, bearing a large mass strapped to his back. Kakuzu frowned at him.

"Yeah, tell 'em Kisame un, keep the math to yourself un" supported a long blonde haired male.

"Quiet" pain's voice was soft but the word carried authority. He decided to intervene before the meeting devolved to pointless arguments. "Start scouting out the targets, I will give the go ahead as to when we shall extract them.

"Yes, leader-sama" with that, the forms vanished leaving the projections behind. Soon the view panned out to reveal a huge statue with chained to the ground, showing the projections to be the statue's fingers. An ominous gust breezed through the area, after which a black mass popped out of the ground staring at the giant.

"Soon mother, soon you shall be free once again."

And cut. Chapter 2 cooked, served and ready to be eaten by the lovely audience. Got a lot of awesome reviews and to all questions, we'll see 'wink wink'. Hope you all enjoy this chapter. And like I said, I accept all reviews, good or bad so lay'em on me. GreenBar17 signing out
