Second chapter, thanks for the follows and favourites.
EDIT: I've edited the description for characters, Beacon and just general stuff, thanks for the advice.
Chapter 1: Beacon
Not living long enough to see if my mum recovered is probably my biggest regret. I hope the bitch isn't crying over me, that would be fucking annoying.
My second is not being able to see DIO, that shit stained vampire cry in Hell. that single punch, that one punch was all it took in the end to blast the blood-sucker in half. He deserved worse..., he really, really, pissed me off.
I never asked for the situation I was in but I kept pushing forward, all to save my mum, and it led to all my friends dying. I scowl and clench my hand in anger at the futileness.
How did I find myself here, on Remnant?. I've analysed the situation multiple times, going as far as to use [STAR PLATINUM] with his detailed perception on every little thing I've come across.
I can say I'm at approximately ninety-percent sure this isn't a [STAND] ability. I need further information to be one-hundred-percent certain.
This could still be a minion of DIO filled with misplaced anger from his deserved death, causing my unusual situation with their [STAND].
"Tch", After succumbing to DIO's last desperate struggle to eliminate me, his body partly destroyed from my pent up punch, he succeeded and tore into my stomach with wrath. I've found myself in this new world... as a new person, Ruby Rose.
The change of gender is... annoying, and my now small height was hard to get used to. But I kept pushing, I have a 'new' aggravating family, I tried my best to stay away and not get close but just like my first annoying bitch of a mother they kept annoying me..., a small smile forms on my face as I think about them.
Only for it to immediately disappear at the thought of the old man, Avdol, Iggy and Kakyoin, slaughtered at the hands of DIO.
"Tch", That bastard.
Beacon, the building is as huge as the information about it., Vaguely castle-looking in nature, not sure what era, a lot of people line the outside entrance chatting and looking excited,
I like it, reminds me of the bustle in Calcutta.
Yang my sister came with me, she's taller than me, bright blonde hair adorns her head with pretty lilac-eyes. She wears a provocative uniform, not as bad as the old man used to wear but still reviling nonetheless, not that I care.
"Ruby, I've got some friends to catch up with, see ya!", my sister, Yang shouts in my ear causing me to scowl in annoyance. Why would I even care?.
I only came to Beacon, for information., I need to know if there are other [STAND] users, it could help and give me a shred of evidence as to what's going on with my circumstance.
If there are any [STAND] users, the best place to look is a school that eliminates Grimm., Mindless beasts that consume Remnant making it a Hell, not as deranged as vampires at least.
I give a half-hearted wave as Yang departs with a flock of 'friends'.
I'm left alone the various chatter across the entrance filling my ears, I find it oddly calming.
Hmm, I grab my newest item out of my trench coat pocket.
I stare at the new bland gun, brought for me due to coming here, Beacon., My annoying shitstain of a father insisted I need it. Hmm. I inspect the gun thoroughly checking it over.
Hmm?. Taiyang, dad knows that I have an ability., He doesn't know the length of what [STAR PLATINUM] can do if he did he probably wouldn't have bothered with this.
It helps to be careful so I can't fault him too much.
After a thorough inspection, I'm satisfied with its condition.
While I'm putting it back in my jacket, I feel a brief impact knocking me down to the cold hard floor. I could have just shrugged it off before, it... pisses me off, being this diminutive furthermore short.
A purple figure hastily emerges from me. Nobody is shocked at its appearance, hmm, no one here is a [STAND] user suspect.
[STAR PLATINUM], my [STAND], he hasn't changed that much, clear from the dark purple muscular arms that are now extending from me. He's still a male... luckily, if anything else changed it would be beyond annoying, he looks a lot like I used to, sharp eyes and jawline, his hair the same dark black mine was, well built full of muscles.
Unlike Semblances, power from the soul unlocked by training and Aura, a forcefield like-barrier opened by a chant with unexplained properties, nobody can see Stands unless they themself are a [STAND] user. It's very helpful for information gathering among other things.
My [STAR PLATINUM] takes the brunt of the force, I'm uninjured thanks to him. My small stature and height mean the collision still thumped me down though.
Multiple white suitcases go darting from the impact, after a few milliseconds of consideration, I decide to prevent the situation is the best outcome.
I use [STAR PLATINUM, THE WORLD] to stop time, an ability I learnt from fighting DIO during the encounter we both diminished at.
Everything abruptly freezes to a halt and the colour of the sky inverts to a light purplish hue, a heavy almost ocean-like strain is on me, ...the use of this ability affects me in a few negative ways.
I utilise [STAR PLATINUM] to intercept the expensive-looking bags, all with exact precision, Yare, Yare Daze, to use this for something so stupid.
after they're neatly stacked to their original position, I start time up again. Time begins to flow, everything that was suspended around me instantly starts to move, with everyone being none the wiser, furthermore, the sky returns to its once blue natural tone.
I can do that for around three seconds, it used to be five but not needing to fight for a long time and with a less sturdy body, ...my time deadline has been severely limited in use.
I feel a poke to my chest, hmm? it's coming from the owner of the bags, their petite finger pushing down hard.
"What are you doing?!" an annoying ear-piercing voice screeches out at me.
my cold silver-eyes examine in on the perpetrator, a girl no older than seventeen, the average age to start at Beacon, pure white hair, done up in an off-centre ponytail, it seems natural. A white expensive looking dress adorned with deep-red trims is covering her, her big white-blue-eyes are squinting at me in annoyance, I file down the information, it could be needed.
"Do you have an!-" she stopped halfway through her annoying shouting, looking at her now neatly stacked suitcases, confused.
"Wha!-, what, I could have sworn?. You!, you did something just now didn't you?!" her expression is a mix between perplexed and angry, Yare, Yare Daze, will this annoying bitch just shut up.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" I keep my tone even and cold, hopefully, she accepts the hint to piss off.
"You!. How dare you try and deceive me. I just witnessed all of my luggage go flying, how is it all neatly piled up, well?!" she's seething at the mouth at the end, face red, expression enraged.
She's moving her arms about in an exaggerated manner, to show annoyance.
Yare, Yare Daz'. I begin to leisurely stroll away from the bitch, mid-rant. I don't care about this, it's not important.
"Do not try and walk away from me!. I can tell by your clothes you're some kind of delinquent, I will not have some thuggish child look down on me!".
She saunters up at me and pokes the golden chain attached to my uniform-collar to emphasize her point.
I can feel my face tense from irritation and anger it's small but Yang or dad would notice, screeching girls, they just... piss me off, among other... things.
"Tch", if you're pissed at someone just say it, you don't have to be an asshole, fuck off.
"Shut up! You're damn annoying!", I tilt my cap over my eyes to obscure them.
A shocked expression replaces the angry one, her face faulting and the area around us goes dead silent, so annoying.
I put my hands in my pockets, and walk away. My pace is slow, not caring for the scene behind me.
She seems to of left it at that, good.
Everything settles back down after a minute or two, the silence dissipating back to regular chatter.
Hmm., I do have some marine-biologist work to do.
Pulling up to a bench overlooking the castle sized school., I pull out a book on ocean life, before everything with DIO went down, this is what I wanted to do. The ocean is a mysterious yet calming place, filled with life, Remnant even more so than Earth.
My gaze traversed the pages, while [STAR PLATINUM] was keeping an eye out., I've learnt I can never be too careful.
The entrance ceremony is probably about to start soon, I'm gonna skip it, doesn't interest me at all. The work I'm doing now is much more appealing.
I'm in around seventeen pages, most of the stuff I already know about thanks to extensive research in this life and my last one., I was going to study marine-biology in college but I... died. I'm thankful for the second 'opportunity' to give it a try, still a pain though.
Suddenly, [STAR PLATINUM] gives a warning signal, a young blonde man approaches, he's about seventeen the same as most the people here. He's wearing a black hoodie, the bagginess of it hangs off his skinny frame. He doesn't look threatening, but I've run into some weak looking [STAND] users before.
"Hey, I'm Jaune, short, sweet roles of the tongue, ladies love it" he shoots me a large smile, another annoyance.
"Go away," I say in a cold and disinterest tone.
His original confidence seems to have dissipated, good. Having guys hit on me is disturbing.
"I-, I'm just wondering where the introduction is?", this guy's stammering is annoying.
Why would I know?.
"You're pestering me, go away, ask someone else.", I say not even taking my eyes off the book, [STAR PLATINUM] ready to punch the guy's head clean off if he tries anything.
"I-I would if there was anyone else to ask", he gestures around to the now-empty entrance.
"Not my problem, fuck off.", I turn the page in my book, hmm,. Electric eels can't see what they're shocking. They're mostly blind and use a radar-like system of electrical pulses to navigate and find food, interesting.
The guy holds up his left hand and opens his mouth as to say something, only to close it at my disinterest.
He awkwardly stands there for a few seconds, neither of us saying anything, the teen then wanders off with a sad expression.
good, I keep reading.
Jaune looks back at me a few times, an expression of a kicked puppy clear on his face before he enters the castle-like school.
I stretch back on the bench, my legs sprawled out lying down. I don't even reach the end of the benches length with my short legs, so annoying.
A solid seven minutes go by, I haven't been interrupted since the incident. It's quiet, a lot of students have gone into Beacon, the outside entrance is completely empty giving it a calm feel different from the chatter but more peaceful and relaxed.
My mind begins to wander to other things as I stare at my small feminine hands.; They look nothing like they once did, I mostly feel a numb, sad acceptance from thoughts about who I am now compared to who I was.
Now's... not the time for that. I need to think of something more productive.
I don't have to do a lot of classes, special treatment given to me by that old man.; Ozpin, suspicious, why did he want me to join so much?.
Is it perhaps related to my silver eyes? he did seem the most interested in them.
As I'm mulling over the possibilities [STAR PLATINUM] abruptly alerts me again, I quickly look up from my book to see... Yang.
I give a short sigh of irritation, what does she want?.
"Yo, Rubes I didn't see you at the starting ceremony, you've been here the entire time huh?" she sounds resigned at the end.
I just keep quiet and keep reading, my blank expression on my face as always.
"I really thought you could find some friends ya know, I know you're not the most social person but I worry for you".
I put my book down, a mixed expression forms only shown by my eyes.
Thinking about friends always brings me back to Kakyoin.; I wonder if his death was painful? or if he felt hopeless?.
"Sis, are you okay?", she's looking at me worry clear on her face.
I nod at her, my appearance stiff, hands clenched.
Yang's always been good at learning when I need space, I appreciate that about her.
She sits down next to me, we revolve into a comfortable silence.
"So, what ya reading there?", she puts on an interested tone.
"Hmm, did you know that jellyfish can get as big as blue whales?.", I tell her a simple fact from the book, my tone deadpan.
"Huh? that's really cool,... I did not know that", she's trying really hard to sound genuinely interested.
"Well, now you do" I reply monotonously.
I suddenly feel my shoulders grabbed, hard from behind.
[STAR PLATINUM] prepares its fist ready to punch the perpetrator.
Shit, it's that Weiss girl from earlier with an angry expression on her face, piss off.
"OR-", I manage to signal a stop to him mid-ora, I could have had an aggravating situation on my hands.
How did I not notice the warning sign [STAR PLATINUM] gave?.
"You!, delinquent, how dare you shout at me earlier, do you have any idea who I am?!". She's blabbering about shit that I'm content to ignore.
"Annoying?" my tones dry, her already angered expression turns furious with rage.
"I'm Wiess Schnee, Wiess Schnee!", she's still screeching?.
Yang stands there awkwardly, looking at the girl than me, she's used to situations like this so she isn't shocked.
"Look, it sounds like you two just got off on the wrong foot" her voice comes out reluctant, Yang tries to be the peacemaker.
"Why don't you try and be friends?" Yang's expression is hopeful yet expecting the worse.
I reach a hand in my pocket and pull out a cigarette and lighter as a response.
"Ruby!, I thought dad and I told you to stop that!" her tone is hurt and expression scandalised, tch so annoying.
I light it up anyway with my sister trying to stop me, Weiss has a disgusted expression on her face.
"This is a school, a prestigious one at that, how dare you! put that down right now!"
The bitch attempts to grab my smoke along with my sister., I just tilt back at their wasted attempts.
I get up from the bench, standing at a short and meagre height compared to how I was built before.
"I'm going", I gesture with my hand to Yang "Come on." I bluntly give her a demand which she reluctantly follows, grumbling about the smoke, the Wiess girl still screaming her lungs as I and Yang simply walk away.
Hours go by with me just filing all the information I can about the aforementioned school, so far nothing significant has come up.
It's night now, everyone is in the hall of the enormous school and cramped despite its size.
There appear's to be both males and female students bordering over a thousand all hampered into each other. I would have preferred a cell.
"It's just like a huge slumber party!", Yang collapses next to me on our shared shoddy mattress.
"I wouldn't know.", I give a short reply.
"Yeah, guess you never really gave it a go, did ya" her expression is almost pitying, annoying.
"Well, you know You still have the chance for a sleepover right?".
The thought irritates me.
"I'm... good" I reluctantly say, staring at the ceiling.
"Yeah, should have guessed that would have been your answer", a small sad smile of acceptance on her face.
I just recline on my back not bothering for a conversation as Yang chats at me.
Yang halts mid-conversation a cunning smile grows on her face.
"What?" I say annoyed.
Without saying a word Yang gets up and confidently walks up to a reserved girl, her eyes golden and her hair a silky dark black, the colour almost reminds me of how mine used to be. She's wearing a dress, the same stark black colour as my own outfit. A black bow adorns her head, [STAR PLATINUM] catches it twitch once or twice.
Hmm, interesting.
The girl is sitting down and reading she doesn't notice Yang walking up to her with confidence.
"Hello" Yang annoys the girl and me with a sing-song voice.
"What?" the girl looks up at Yang, her eyes deadpan and face irritated.
"I couldn't help but notice the book you're reading" Yang then gestures to me "My sister, reads too", Yang is making herself look like a bitch with obvious fake cheer in her voice.
"Right" the girl replies completely disinterested with a dull tone.
"Stop being fucking annoying" I give Yang a dry and even tone of aggravation.
The youthful woman practically nods along but holds herself., Most likely she doesn't want to appear too harsh.
Yang's confidence faults at both of us her expression turning less confident by the second.
Yang takes a second to clear her throat, her hand coming up to hide it in obvious awkwardness. This is pissing me off.
"So, what's your name?" Yang phrases it with 'gusto and pops the 'name' at the end, annoying.
"...Blake" she responds clearly irritated.
"I'm Yang" she gestures at me, voice filled with fake happiness "Ruby's older sister., I like your bow it goes great with your pyjamas?" she asks her question like a question., She's fumbling around much as Polnareff would, a microscopic smile is on my face at the thought.
"Yeah" her tone remains unmoved by my sisters irritating attempts.
"Nice night, huh", Yang makes an observation and states it, tch annoying bitch, I can't help but find her endearing though.
"Yes, it's almost as nice as this book, that I'm trying to read", her voice picks up in annoyance at the end.
I'm gonna ignore this bumbling bitch, Yare, Yare Daze, it... hurts to watch.
To avoid this awful conversation., I pull out and start reading my marine-biology book again, while Yang makes herself look like an idiot.
"What's that about?", Blake asks me in curiosity.
"... marine-biology" I reluctantly answer.
"I wouldn't take you as the type to be into that", she looks me up and down, me still wearing my delinquent outfit.
"It's calming" I give a short but true reply.
"Hmm, I can see that" she replies while turning the page.
We end up talking most of the night, while flipping through our books, Yang looking on with both happiness and annoyance.
I hope I can trust her she seems not annoying, it would be nice to have friends again. I tilt my hat down at the thought.
She kind of reminds me of Kakyoin, I wonder if they would have gotten along?.
