"It is the end for you," the knight said. "On your feet, Darkness has come!"
"I have a bad feeling about this," said Maddie as they all slowly got to their feet.
"I do not know you Warrior, but if it is a battle you want, I am ready to fight," said Udonna.
Novi moved to her side and held out her wand ready in case the strange warrior was to launch an attack against them once again.
"Hold on, let me try and reason with him," said Xander putting an arm out in front of Novi and Udonna.
"Hi, the names Xander," he said stepping out in front of them all.
"I am Koragg, the Knight Wolf," the warrior replied.
He turned and held a hand and pointed to the ground a short distance away and spoke in what Novi recognized as the language of the Ancients.
"Ethe Major Catastros, Ride up from your depths."
As he spoke those words a spell portal opened up and a purple and black horse rose up from within the portal.
"So much for reasoning," said Xander as he stepped back.
"Sumbol unithos equestras" Koragg spoke as he leaped into the air and they watched as he grew large and merged with the horse into a center.
"You are now pebbles beneath my hooves," Koragg voice boomed.
"Stand back, you are not yet ready to fight his kind. I am!" said Udonna stepping forward.
"No problem here, he's all yours," said Xander.
"Udonna be careful," Novi warned.
Part of her wanted to morph and help Udonna but she knew from watching the Jungle Fury teams Megazord battles that she would honestly only be in the way if she tried to help but she still kept her wand tightly clutched in her hand, ready in case something was to happen to Udonna or more Hidacs appeared.
"Magical Source, Mystic Force!"
"Galwit mysto prifior!"
The six teens watched as Udonna grew to the roughly the same size as Koragg in his centaur from
"Energy of Light," said Udonna aiming a blast at Koragg but it bounced harmlessly off his shield.
"HA, Darkness destroys light!"
Udonna charged at him but he simply reared up and kicked her in the chest pushing her back, she used her staff to try and strike him but Koragg blocked the blow with the hilt of his sword.
"Have I seen you before wizard? You are too familiar." asked Udonna.
"And you too witch, but that will not stop me from destroying you."
"What?"
Udonna paused at his words.
"Behold the eye of the Master," said Koragg and once again the eye on the shield opened up and shot a beam directly at Udonna knocking her backwards and she landed on the ground hard.
Novi winced as she saw Udonna fall, her grip on her wand tightening as it was clear that attack had done some serious damage. Udonna was struggling to rise to her feet and before she could Koragg charged at her striking her down again. Udonna suit sparked as she turned around her snow staff flew from her hands and landed a distance away while Udonna losing her giant form stumbled out of the forest and collapsed onto the ground a few feet in front of where the teens were standing. A light snow started to fall.
Novi was the first one to rush to her side still holding her wand and when the others come over to help, Novi took a stance just in front of the ready in case she needed to defend the injured Udonna from another attack. Koragg powered down and pulled the snow staff out of the ground before he turned and spoke to them.
"I will spare all of you, so you witness firsthand the terror and destruction that unfolds on your land. Remember this day, you will wish it was your last," Koragg warned.
Novi was about to run at him to attack but before she could move, he create a spell seal and was gone. Novi relaxed dropping her stance and walked over to Udonna helping her to stand.
"You, okay?" she asked as she helped Udonna to her feet.
"I'll be fine, child."
The six teens and Udonna walked in silence back to Rootcore and Novi dropped behind the rest of the group as her thoughts drifted to the Wolf Knight Koragg and how they would fight him if or when he returns. If he was able to beat Udonna who had much more experience than they did, they didn't stand a chance. Maybe that was why she was sent here if she could unlock both her blood magic and elemental abilities then maybe they would stand a chance. It was Vida's hand on her arm that pulled her out of her thoughts.
"What's on your mind?" she asked.
"Nothing much," Novi lied. "Just thinking about Koragg and how we could possible defeat him."

By the time they got back to Rootcore, Udonna seems to have recovered and they gathered around the central table to discuss the day's events.
"Without my snow staff, I cannot fight anymore, but I can still train you. I can teach you the ways of Magic. Claire?"
"Coming," bleated Claire still in the form of a sheep.
"Oh child," Udonna said with a smile. "Mortha mamomna"
At her words Claire was transformed back into a human form.
"Why did you do that before? Do you know how warm it was in all that wool?" complained Claire.
Novi and the other broke into laughter.
"If I do everything for you, then how will you ever learn?" asked Udonna before turning to the others their wands in her hands. "This time go nowhere without them."
"Uh huh, we already learned that lesson, but to tell you the truth walking around town carrying a wand, well that may be good for Chip, but…" Xander trailed off which made Vida and Novi laugh even harder.
"Very well," said Udonna she spoke the language of the ancients.
The wands in their hands glowed for a moment before turning into gold cellphone like devices with the same symbols that had topped their respective wands.
"I hope you find these more to your generations liking," said Udonna.
"Cell phones, very cool," said Vida approvingly.
"They are you Mystic Morphers, they are activated by using spell codes that you will come to learn along the journey. Now go back to the city, live your normal lives, and wait until you are needed. Remember, there is evil everywhere and you would be best served speaking to no one about what has happened," warned Udonna.
"I can show them out of the woods," offered Claire.
"No, they must find their own way. Just remember the trees are you passage," said Udonna.
The six teens pocketed the phone and headed outside Rootcore. Novi already kind of knew her way around the woods as to the north was the elemental Academy that she had attended but she didn't know much about this part of the forest. She had never come across Rootcore during her time there.
"How could a tree be our passage?" wondered Chip laying his hand on the nearest tree and suddenly there was a crack of light and he was gone. A few seconds later he was back.
"Whoa! Guys so cool. Just touch the tree and bam, you are flying through roots, branches, stems, leaves and bark and…just think of the tree in front of the record shop. Really it works," he rambled excitedly.
"No, no, no, no, there is no way that this," started Xander but as he touched the tree the same crack of light appeared, and he was gone.
Novi watched the others and Vida first, then Maddie and Chip all touched the tree and went gone. She headed back to Rootcore as there was a few things she wanted to discuss with Udonna before she went back to the city.

"Hey Udonna, we didn't really have a chance to talk earlier, with the attack on the village and the Koragg showing up but I attended the Elemental Academy before I…" she trailed off.
"Ah, you are one I requested. I can helped you learn how to both control your elements."
"That would be great, I don't know how much you know but I didn't really have a chance to learn how to use them, before…"
"Yes, I did hear about that. In fact, that is why I asked for you specifically. You need someone teach you how to use them, so they don't spark out of control and you have a repeat of what happened. You will find some useful books on one of those shelves," said Udonna pointing behind them.
Udonna turned to see Claire starring into the Globe in the center of the table, watching the scene unfold between Nick and Maddie.
"Forget him Claire, it is not to be." said Udonna to Claire as the image faded.
"Yeah, I guess so, I just don't know why the Xenotome showed six warriors not five. Maybe I'm the sixth warrior!" Claire said waving the broom she was holding around, and Novi had to duck to avoid being hit with it.
Udonna caught the broom as Claire swung it back in their direction.
"Probably not," said Udonna.
"Right, we move on."
"Sweep please." said Udonna to Claire.
Novi grabbed a book of the shelf and settled down into a chair in the corner.
"But it's a good thing you didn't move on when I started here. Any other sorceress would have tossed me to the trolls when I cracked their crystal ball or when I dried up the lake or…" started Claire but Udonna interrupted her.
"Yes, there was a long list of things you needed to learn not to mention turning yourself into a sheep," said Udonna.
From her corner Novi stifled a laugh. It was clear Claire had a tendency to forget that other people were around or ramble on without realizing. It was kinda cute.
"You child, you are not someone I would ever give up on."
"And I appreciate that, but just for reference when I become a powerful sorceress I'll know, why is it that we are giving up on Nick?"
Udonna turned to her and Novi stopped what she was doing to listen. The same question had been in her own mind about why no one had tried to help Nick. Udonna didn't respond but left Rootcore. Novi shrugged and settled back down to continue reading her book while Claire resumed her sweeping. Novi got lost in the book she was reading so when the crystal ball gonged it made her jump. Novi put down the book she was reading and went over to look at it. It's had filled with a black smoke.
"Um, Claire, what does this mean?" she asked calling out to Claire.
Claire hurried in and saw the crystal ball.
"Oh no, there is trouble in the forest," she said turning to Novi.

Novi patted her back pocket, making her the cellphone was still there before heading into the forest and she soon found the others.
"Oh, check out the uniforms," said Xander.
Novi suddenly realized her own clothes had changed and she was wearing white shirt, black pants with a scarlet design a matching vest and a cloak.
"I hate pink," complained Vida.
"You can go to the complaints department later, Vida. Look," Novi said indicting at a strange glowing circle in the ground just ahead of them.
From the circle several creatures appeared
"I hope every day isn't gonna be like this," said Maddie.
The stranger creatures growled in their direction. The four teens readied themselves and Novi followed their lead charging at the creatures.
Novi ran at the group nearest her and kicked out at the first one, but it grabbed her ankle and pull, causing her to fall over. She put her hands behind her head and flipped herself back on her feet. She aimed a punch at the creatures, but it grabbed her. She could hear the others weren't having much luck either.
"She said we'd know when to use our wands. I think this is the time, you think?" said Chip.
"You think?" said Vida.
"Let ranger up," said Xander.
"Magical Source, Mystic Force"
Galwit Mysto Ranger
"Strong as a tree, Green Mystic Ranger!"
Ever-changing as the wind, Pink Mystic Ranger!"
"Fluid as the seas, Blue Mystic Ranger!"
"Fast as lightning, Yellow Mystic Ranger!"
"Wielder of the Elements, Scarlet Mystic Ranger!"
She lunged at a group of the creatures, aiming a kick at one of them, it fell backwards on to the floor. She pulled at the metal wand on her belt. At the top was a scarlet fox head which matched the one on her helmet, she turned the wand into its whip forms and cracked it at a group of the creatures. The whip wrapped around them and she ignited it using her fire powers. The creature screeched and vanished. She saw the others had finished off the rest. Suddenly the dark grew dark, and thunder rumbled on the ground another dark circle appeared and when it cleared there was a human size figure standing there. He was dressed in purple armor and carried a shield, and she could see the handle of a sword in the shield. The figure approached them menacingly.
"It's Koragg," said Xander.
"We can take him," said Vida confidently.
"You can try but you are no match. I call on my sword for the darkness. This is your end," he said drawing out the sword. It's crackled with purple electricity.
"Okay, now what?" asked Xander.
"Now you will feel the power of dark magic," Koragg said as an eye opened up on his shield.
A purple wolf head came out of the eyes and hit them knocking them to the ground. As the blast hit Novi, she felt Solar trying to latch onto the power for herself and Novi touched her chest where the locket hung, focusing on that until she felt Solar withdraw. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"I will not be merciful this time," said Koragg as he walked towards them.
"Can't we talk this over?" asked Xander as he got closer. "Guess not."
"You're doomed. Any last words?" Koragg asked now standing over them, his sword poised ready to strike.
Novi shut her eyes waiting for the attack, but it never came. She heard the sounds of a motorcycle approach from behind them then a voice spoke.
"Yeah, just one—Hyah!"
She opened her eyes to see Nick had come to help them. He jumped of the motorcycle midair, aiming at kick to Koragg which hit the shield knocking Koragg back away from them.
"Nick!" said Xander.
"Now there are six," Said Koragg.
"I guess there are," replied Nick. "This is a good of time as any to start believing in magic."
Koragg aimed a strike at Nick's head, and he threw up his hands. Before the blade could hit Nick a red glow appeared between his hands and blocked it.
"I do believe in magic," shouted Nick, using this magic to push Koragg's blade away the area around nick glowed and his clothes changed to match their uniforms only in red. He pulled out his cellphone.
"Magical Source, Mystic Force!"

"Fearsome as fire, Red Mystic Ranger!"
"Prove to me your worthiness, battle my forces. Hideaks arise," said Koragg.
"You fight with your words, so be it," said Nick Magi staff do your thing."
Novi watched as he turned one of the Hideaks into a ball and kicked it at the groups of them taking out several at a time. He then turned the staff into the sword and charged at the remaining creatures. It didn't take him long to take the rest of them out.
"Ha, I guess it works after all," Nick said.
Novi and the others got up and went over to him.
Nick, that's awesome," said Xander.
"Mystic Force!" they all called out.
"Do not celebrate, Rangers. This was just one battle. Next time the outcome will be different," Koragg warned them.

They first headed back to Rootcore then Novi went with the other to the Rock Porium.
"Nick, Novi, now that we are a team do you feel like help?" asked Xander.
"I fight soulless mutants, I don't clean," said Nick.
"What he said," replied Novi.
"Then out of the way," said Vida nudging Nick in the ribs.
"OK, but as a wise old woman once asked, do you believe in magic?" said Nick.
"You think?" asked Vida.
"Well, I believe," said Maddie pulling out her mystic morpher and flipping it open.
She pointed it at the magazines on the floor and they lifted up and went back onto the shelves.
"It works," said Chip taking out his morpher and pointing it at a nearby broom. "Sweep like lightning."
Xander used his morpher to take out the trash while Vida re-stacked the fallen CD display.
Suddenly things were flying everywhere as the continued to use magic to clean the entire store.
"Hurry someone is coming," warned Novi.
"Okay I knew you wouldn't, uh…oh?" said the man as he walked in. You would. Its clean, very clean. The cleanest it's ever been. Maybe its lost its edge. Have I become a Megashop?"
Maddie smiled and laughed.
"Hello, I'm new in town can somebody help me?" came a girl voice behind the guy.
"That'll be me." said Xander.
"No, no, me," said Chip trying to push ahead of Xander and reach the girl first.
"Mmm, I want…him," said the girl pushing the two away and approaching Nick.
"Sorry, I don't work here," said Nick with an awkward laugh.
"You know, Toby you should really hire this guy. He was instrumental in cleaning the store," said Maddie.
"Wait, I wasn't looking for a job," said Nick.
"Who is the greatest guitarist ever?" asked Toby.
"Well, it's got to be Jimi, but—" started Nick.
"You're hired, said Toby shaking nicks hand.
"Wait a second, Novi, helped out too. In fact, it was her idea," stuttered Nick trying to get out of this.
"Hey, don't drag me into this, I already have a job," said Novi.
"Where?" asked Vida.
"JKP in Ocean's Bluff," said Novi.
"Jungle Karma Pizza?
"Yeah."
You're hired," said Toby shaking her hand.
"Uh, wait…excuse me? What just happened?" asked Novi.
"Now help the customer," said Toby.
The girl grabbed Nick lopping her arm through his.
"My name is Lee-lee, what's yours?" she asked leading him away.
Novi rolled her eyes and headed outside to phone RJ and let him know what was going on.
"Please don't pick up, don't pi-" she muttered as the line rang.
"Hello Novi," came RJ voice.
"Damn it" she muttered under her breath.
"Hey RJ, you know that meeting I told you about, well it turns out it was a ranger gig. I'm gonna need to take some time off if that okay?"
"As excuses go, that is good enough. Good luck," said RJ and with that he hung up.
