Aria blinked before settling her emotions and looking back at the new visitors. Doctor Banner was talking about spectrometers and gamma rays. She watched as the men listened to what he had said, working on their computers. Banner took his jacket off, seeming to forget his unease while talking science. Aria definitely noticed this and stored the fact at the back of her mind for future use potentially. She wasn't any genius but there were a few things of science that did intrigue her. She felt a sort of sympathy to the man due to their somewhat similar struggles and if there was any way she might be able to help him, maybe that could be it until she was able to speak with the man privately.

"Do you have somewhere for me to work?" His gaze focused on Fury.

"Agent Romanoff," he beckoned, "could you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory please?"

Walking up and past them Natasha said something to Bruce as she walked by that Aria didn't focus on. Instead, her eyes were focused on the other man of their...team. From his file she had read that he took a deep dive with the Tesseract that resulted in them being frozen and preserved. A man who came back to a whole different world yet besides his obvious fascination with this new world he seemed to adjust fairly well. His gaze around the room finally landed on her, their eyes locking and a look of confusion set in his eyes. Either he didn't remember her from the composed files or maybe had assumed she wouldn't have come.

She walked over to him and put her hand out to which he replied by gripping it and shaking it. As the small physical touch happened, Aria molded a bit of energy and directed it to her eyes to get a read on this man and what shot back at her slightly surprised her. In her years, she found that humans when seen with her energy enhanced eyes seemed to give off a light gray energy. When they were sick, the hue turned a bit darker depending on how severe it was. This man's energy was swirling around him with a tint of cedar brown to the normal human gray hue to which she concluded might be the fact he is a super soldier. Human but just not quite. Releasing the energy and his hand she stood straighter waiting for him to introduce himself first.

"Steve Rogers ma'am. I saw you in the files but didn't see much about you," he stated quizzically.

"These people really have no idea who I am," Aria smirked with a small chuckle, "a pleasure to make your acquaintance Rogers."

"Well, I hope that the mystery will unravel as we work together Aria." He said while crossing his broad arms together.

Their already brief conversation was interrupted when the male agent who had gone to retrieve Aria stepped close to them. Admiration was visibly present in the man's face towards Rogers. Giddiness seemed to bubble from him as he spoke to Rogers, their conversation unimportant to Aria. She turned away looking out to the clouds past the wide window at the front of the room. She thought back to how the thing in her mind had only roused to talk when she was reading the information of the Tesseract. What did it know of it? How could such a tiny thing create the beast that was dwelling in the darkest parts of her? Scrunching her brows together in irritation, she closed her eyes to delve into her mind to seek out the monster.

Beast come forth I have questions that you best answer, her voice echoed to the abyss of darkness.

My child, you do know that isn't the proper way to ask me of my service, it voice slithered menacingly around her head, you are nothing but a fool to come to your mind's domain speaking as such if seeking information.

Enough pleasantries, what is the Tesseract? Why are these humans so eager to find it and why does the God want it?

The Tesseract is not to be tampered with, these humans do not understand the power of the cube. I however know it's capabilities and hunger for the power stored inside. Maybe then it can free me from this measly prison for I could continue what I started all those years ago. The hunger in it's voice at the mention of the cube made her soul squirm for she never heard anything like that come from the beast.

A pair of icy eyes opened at the other end of the expanse darkness. A shiver ran down her back and fear slowly began to form in the pit of her stomach. She knew the monster couldn't hurt her, but seeing the height of the eyes towering over her she couldn't help it. The most she'd ever seen of her dwelling companion had been its eyes and she wasn't sure why after being together for so long she still had no idea the form of the beast. She only knew the icy eyes, the snarky voice, and the power and knowledge it lent her. Said eyes seemed to glow from where she saw them, emotions she couldn't define swirling in its beautiful color.

What you started, what do you mean? You said it gave you life, what did you mean by that you angry giant. I always assumed that I was born with you inside my head. She questioned quickly.

Growling, the eyes reached down low piercing her with a murderous glare. You foolish child, the Tesseract alone couldn't give me life but all of them combined did!

She noticed it ignored her other questions but decided to just wait for those answers, instead trying to fish for more information regarding the glowing cube.

All of them? So there's more like it?

All these questions make me believe you are as stupid and miniscule as you seem,it spat out in disgust, your mother should have taught you better.

At the mention of her mother, Aria felt angered. Her mother had been kind, nurturing, and much more. For this being to snide at her upbringing made Aria's disdain for the monster ever more present. Keeping her composure, she pressed forward. If I am as stupid as I seem then teach me.

The monster let out a hearty sigh, growling in a tongue she didn't know. Child it is not the right time. Leave me be as I decide what it is I wish to share later. The monster pushed her from the abyss with a jolt of energy.

Eyes blinking rapidly and a small strangled moan retching itself from her throat, Aria tensed at the happening. Never before had it been able to push her out of her own mind space and gave her more questions. Hazily she looked around and saw nothing had changed in her absence in reality. She knew it wouldn't have for the time passed talking to the creature was barely any time passed where she stood. She never understood why it happened that way, for there were times she'd be deep inside her mind for what seemed hours but what had passed be only mere minutes in life. Annoyance crept up on her at the being for its lack of answers and the jeering blow it tried at her mother.

"We got a hit! 60% match...wait. Cross match, 79%" a man spoke aloud from one of the various computers.

"Coulson walked over briskly asking the location of who they were tracking. From what she could see it appeared to be the God of Mischief, his face profile being analyzed by whatever algorithm the computer was using. She walked to be standing next to Rogers, awaiting to hear the location of where they were most likely to be sent to retrieve this so-called God.

"Stuttgart, Germany. 28 Konigstrasse. He's not exactly hiding..."

"Captain, Hellfire" Fury spoke, "you guys are up."

The quinjet (she now knew the name of the contraption thanks to Natasha) sped through the air to their target. Aria sat legs crossed on the floor undisturbed by the turbulence of the air craft. Meditating, she focused on the energy swirling inside her body and coaxed it to grow as if it were a muscle. Pulling and pushing, it expanding slowly at her efforts. She sensed someone staring at her and opened her eyes to see the Captain staring. His suit made of blue, white, and red. A shield decorated with the same colors along with a star in the middle. A cap covered his hair along with parts of his face which made his blue eyes and pale skin stand out. The suit was tight against him, showing off the strong body right under its seams.

She wore nothing flashy like the Captain. Her attire consisted of black shirt that was tight against her body along with black leather pants fastened with a belt. Attached to the belt was the sheath to her small sword and on the other side a small pouch that she kept her daggers in, her preferred weapon of choice. A pendant hung from her neck in the shape of a wolf, its eyes embedded with ruby diamonds, a gift she received from her mother all those years ago. Black mid-calf boots finished off Aria's look. Her curly pink hair was pulled up into a ponytail, with strands falling out to frame around her face. A red ribbon brimmed with golden thread was tied around the base as well.

Natasha called out that they were nearing their destination. Closing her eyes to focus on expanding her senses, she felt a mass of people piled together along with a surge of energy spiking in front of them. Snapping her eyes open she looked at the Captain again, relaying the information she gathered. Surprise flitted through his face as she told him about the people and what she assumed was the God before nodding his head in thanks.

"Romanoff, drop us off near that group of people. Whether he likes it or not we will be crashing the same party," with that he pushed a button that started opening the back end of the jet.

Aria quickly sat up and was at his side, waiting until she felt the people's energy almost below them before she ran forward and jumped out. Diving down, she focused a medium amount of her energy into her feet to brace the fall. Once she almost reached the ground she flipped around and landed with her feet in a crouch, the earth below her breaking and cracking as the energy dissipated after being expelled the moment she touched the ground leaving her unharmed. Captain landed not too far from on top of his shield. His eyes glanced at the small bit of damage her landing caused before checking over her, checking to see if she was injured. When he was satisfied there were no injuries he looked forward to where the edge of the group of people were standing. From what Aria could tell, they were too terrified to even acknowledge their presence. Quickly both moved forward towards the mass before Rogers jumped over and protected an elderly man from a blast that would have certainly killed him. Aria began to push people to run, ushering them away from the Captain and God. As the people ran away, Aria was able to see the God of Mischief for her own eyes at last.

Standing up from his attack being deflected at him, the man was donned with robes of green, gold, and black. At the top of his head there was a golden horned helmet, it holding back his black hair that curled where it met his shoulders. Strong, sharp features made up his face and his lips pulled in a grim line. In his right hand he held a golden scepter, the tip encasing a blue jewel that surged with an energy that pulled at her. Almost identical to the pull the picture of the Tesseract had but now much stronger. Her brows furrowed at the unfamiliar sensations that scepter brought to her before an ominous laughter echoed throughout her head, distracting her from dodging an incoming mortal running for his life. At the last second she moved out of the way, putting up a mental barrier between her mind and the creature not wanting it to distract and potentially kill her.

I doubt it would let anything kill me but I'd rather not push my luck, she mused to herself as she ran over behind the God, now to deal with this dude who looks like he just came out of the Viking

"The soldier," he sneered at Rogers, "the man out of time."

"I'm not the one outta time," retorted the star-spangled man. The quinjet came into existence right behind Rogers.

Romanoff's voice came out of the speakers installed on the jet as a machine gun looking weapon appeared on the belly of the jet, "Loki, drop the weapon and stand down."

Aria rolled her eyes at the humans tactics, knowing that a being like the one in front of him would indeed not backdown. She sprang forward and threw two daggers at the man to gain his attention. One whizzed past him as he caught the second one in the air right in front of his eyes. Glaring at her, he pushed it back towards Aria intending to smash right into the middle of her head. Smirking she sidestepped the weapon, caught it by the hilt and pursued to attack him with the dagger. His scepter clashed with her dagger, pushing an unbelievable amount of force against it. Aria gritted her teeth and pushed back while directing some of her energy to her arms to help. She was stronger than the average human, probably as strong as Rogers she presumed, but this God definitely packed some serious manpower even if his stature didn't hint at such. She relented only to drop down and swing at his feet, making him drop to his back. Quickly she got up and directed her energy into her right fist before punching where Loki was, her fist connecting with the ground instead of his body as he rolled away. The ground erupted at the mercy of her punch, splitting and cracking open for the next three meters. Aria grunted in dissatisfaction at missing her target before jumping towards him dagger in hand.

"What monstrous power you have," he breathed out as they clashed together again, "I'm surprised to say the least I know not a thing of who you are."

"You will learn right now, trust me when i say however that you woulda wished you hadn't," she spoke calmly as if they were having tea and not fighting one another.

She danced around a blast from his scepter and lashed out with her left arm trying to scrape her dagger against his face. He leaned back and swung the scepter to hit her abdomen but she flung herself backwards, bending at the knees, while her eyes watched as the scepter flew by her face. She flipped backwards trying to kick him as she did so, but he dodged and ran toward her. She called back her other dagger to her hand, having them enchanted to be called upon her whim being an amazing enhancement to her things. She'd have to thank the sorcerer who conjured it up for her. Two daggers in hand she met the God in a battle of strength once again as their weapons clashed once more. Glancing over to see where her seemingly useless teammates where at, she was startled to see they were also fighting him. Her eyes widened and she slackened enough to let him push her back towards the ground. Coming back up, she was starting to mold energy to disperse around her when she was hit with a blast from the scepter. Flying back until she hit a wall harshly, she groaned in pain. The blast had burned through the bottom half of the shirt and scorned her skin. The God appeared before her, manically smiling at his triumph.

"I am Loki Laufeyson," he declared proudly standing over the troublesome woman, "And I will be your downfall."

"Well Loki Laufeyson, I'm sorry to say but that title is unfitting for someone to claim himself a God," she retorted as she began to stand up. Much to his surprise, the grave wound on her stomach started healing incredibly fast. A white energy fizzled around the wound as it disappeared in the matter of seconds. He narrowed his eyes at how it seemed to happen on its own; even he still had to wave his hand to muster a healing spell. He backed away wary of what her next actions would be.

Standing now fully healed and setting her cold stare on Loki, she put her hands out and forced tendrils of energy out of her. Pale white in color, it wrapped around Loki and began to burn his skin. Not unbearable but the pain still registered in his mind. For a moment, Loki felt as if his thoughts were finally fully his to command. Wide eyed, he stared at the pink haired woman with both fear and appreciation for allowing him to see clarity for the first time in a long while. That tinge of control seemed to be gone while he was enveloped in her power? Or no was it magic? He'd never seen magic burn white before. As soon as the relief struck him though, the white magic seemed to flicker and his eyes went straight to her. Exhaustion was all over the woman's face but in her emerald eyes shone determination. A weird, conflicting sense of admiration struck at him before he shook his head and squashed the feeling down. She was an enemy, no matter how fascinating she was.

"Just as the humans did, you shall kneel!" he sneered before using his own magic to break free of her hold, the thoughts not of his own coming back to him. Taking control of his scepter once more he aimed it at the woman before whispering harshly, "I shall show you the power of a God."

The burst from the scepter connected with her just healed abdomen and sent her through the building. Smirking at the destruction, he turned to where the soldier had been with his copy. Foolish human couldn't tell it was all just one of his tricks. Engaging the soldier from behind, he brought his scepter down with great might. Clashing with the mans shield, Loki pushed it aside and kicked the man back into the side of a fountain. The soldier quickly recovered and threw his shield at him, to which he blocked with his scepter before blocking a punch from the man. Twisting himself, he brought down the scepter intending to hit his arm but missed. Bending forward to dodge another punch of the soldiers, he threw the scepter and landed a hit on his back propelling him forward a couple feet. Loki walked up and with the other end of the staff positioned it on the star-spangled man head.

"Kneel," Loki growled at the man.

"Not today," the soldier quipped as he grabbed the scepter, pushed it down, and roundhouse kicked Loki in the face having him tumble back.

With a yell, Loki recovered quickly before grabbing the mortal by his jaw and throwing him to the ground. Hoping it hurt the mortal like the kick he had endured from him moments before. Raising his scepter to blast the man, he was surprised to hear rock music blasting from the airship above them. Only for a second before he was blasted back by a beam of light.

She ran as fast as she possibly could. She knew where he was headed and if she didn't get there first it would be too late to save her mother and brother. She needed to get there first. She had to. Stumbling through the lab she punched through a wall that lead outside as white energy wrapped around her hand looking like it were fire. Her eyes clouding with tears, she ran down the path that would take her home. What was normally a forty-five minute walk turned into a fifteen minute sprint as she continuously pumped energy into her legs to keep her from tiring. Her thoughts racing faster then she could. Once she saw the top part of her family's cottage in the distance, she ran even faster.

She had found her uncle's notes. Her mothers brother. He had gone cynical with his tests as he began scorching her with fire, cutting and stabbing her with weapons, and even tried drowning her. Aria did everything he asked her to since she knew she would heal, followed through with every possible way to coax the thing in her head to make an appearance again but to no avail it stayed hidden. She was able to converse with it in her mind and caught a glimpse of its eyes when she focused hard one time, but the power it had shown them both that one day was never to come again. She was okay with that because the raw power scared her for she had no control over it but her uncle obsessed over trying to harness it. To the point he made a plan to kill her mother and brother to see if emotional stimulus would trigger the beasts power.

Gasping for breath, she kicked down the front door. Her eyes widened at the blood painted on the walls. Her heart jumped to her throat and she pushed her senses out to see if anyone was around. Picking up on two signatures, one fainter then the other, she ran towards them. In a few seconds she was in their living room, the furniture tossed around and pictures on the ground broken. Her mother was draped over her brother as if protecting him while glaring at presumably her uncle across the room with her hand up. Aria channeled energy to her eyes looking at them and gasped as she saw nothing coming from her brother. Her mother snapped her gaze to Aria, her hand glowing the same white as Arias. Sprinting over, she dropped to her knees and grabbed her brothers head turning him to see his face. Cuts littered his soft skin, bruises around his temple, his lip busted open, and his eyes were gone. Horrified she looked up at her mother, nothing able to come out of her throat.

Her sweet little brother was gone. She had been too late. She could have saved him. But she was too late.

"Aria...my sweet daughter," her mother rasped out as her not glowing hand reached up to touch her cheek, "I have not been honest with you I am afraid..."

A choked sob wretched itself from Aria's throat instead of the words she wanted to say. She couldn't lose it now, she could still save her mother. She had to. Her hand came up to touch her mothers and as she did she sent a wave of energy. Her mother smiled sadly shaking her head no, to which Aria sobbed more. Her eyes pleading with her mother, trying to conjure up all the love Aria had for the woman in front of her. The woman she looked up to the most in this world and the next. She gripped her hand harder and sent another wave, as fruitless as it might be. Both her and her mother knew it was the end of their time together and that every wave only seemed to postpone the inevitable. Blood was dripping down from her mouth now, her nose and left ear having a caked trail.

"Do not fret...my daughter...but please forgive me..." she coughed and the light in her hand started flickering, "I won't...I won't be able to see you...grow...into the remarkable woman I know you destined to be. I will look after Huskon in the heavens...and you wherever you decide to wander...".

The woman grunted while she mustered the rest of her energy into her hand making it glow bright again despite the pain it wrecked into her mother. Aria looked to where she held her hand up and saw her uncle. His crazed eyes boring into her saddened ones. Upon seeing him Aria's anger flared once more. Her mothers coughing however bringing her back from going to rip him apart.

"Mother...what do I...what do I do?" She asked through broken sobs, taking the weak woman's hand in her own.

"Learn to control it...and use it for the opposite reasons those around you will...I love you Aria, never forget..." her mothers hand stopped glowing white and slowly fell to the floor. Her body slumped over her brothers, her green eyes fluttering closed.

"NO MOTHER!" Aria screamed and grabbed hold of the woman, shaking her. She screamed as tears fell down her cheeks in a stream. She didn't notice that energy started swirling around her, first white before becoming tinted with blue as the monster inside was unleashes at her deep sorrow. The energy swirled around her encasing her brother, mother, and herself. Her uncle now free from the magic his sister had woven looked on in amazement at the raw energy surrounding them.

Laughing, he called out to Aria, "My child it's come again! It's power is coursing through you! We can now continue what we started!"

The last thing she heard from him was a strangled gasp followed by a pop of what she assumed was his neck. Not worried about anything, she hugged her mother and brother tighter to her chest. Unknowingly, the energy was wrecking apart everything else it touched. But she didn't care for everything she ever loved was gone.

You shall see the sun of another day child, the voice seemingly tried to soothe her, be thankful I am trapped here otherwise you would have been welcoming Death instead.

Groaning, she sat up slowly and looked at the hole she had bursted in through. Her abdomen felt hot as it was healing this time a bit faster with a small bit of the monsters energy coursing through her. If I didn't know any better, I would say your becoming fond of me to not let me die.. slightly at the thought she stood up and stretched. Her small rest proved restless as she pushed down any thoughts or feelings that were aroused from that nightmare. She couldn't lose control here in the heat of battle. She could deal with that later, she had more things to worry about now. Her eyes flickered over to the fight that wasn't too far in front of her after she assessed she was healed enough to join back in. At least she was planning to until the rock music invaded the otherwise silent area and Loki was blasted by a beam of light that came from the man in iron armor. Using some of her energy, she jumped the space between her and the Captain to help him up. A startled look crossed over his face before he took her outstretched hand, the both of them joining Iron Man as he aimed various things at the God who was slumped on the floor.

"Make your move Reindeer Games," he said humorously. The God sat there a few moments eyeing them wearily before relenting, his armor disappearing in a gold light and both of his hands coming up slowly. At the display of surrender, the Iron Man retreated his weapons and blurted out "Good move."

"Mr. Stark."

"Captain...Girl," he nodded at the both of them.

Sitting in her spot as before, Aria stared at the God before her in shackles. He stared back, not giving anyone else his gaze but her. She heard Fury over the radio question Natasha about their prisoner, her replying that he had not said a word. Rogers and Stark were speaking to one another about something she didn't concern herself about. Instead, she mulled over what happened as she and Loki fought. When her energy wrapped around him, she found that it was sucking out a power that the monster inside reveled at and it had unnerved her greatly to hear its boisterous laugh echoing in her mind. She was so distracted that Loki was able to break free, along with the fact that she was tiring from expelling so much energy at once without tapping into the monsters energy, and injure her further to the point she blacked out and procured her most dreaded memory.

Scowling at him, she pointed energy to her eyes to see what this God would give back. A green-blue aura slithered around him, a yellow tinge blanketing his mind. Confused for she'd never seen that before, she retracted the energy and smirked as he seemed unnerved at the attention she was giving him. Maybe that was what she syphoned from him when she captured him with her powers, shivering at the memory of the monsters joy at it. She studied him intently, from the way he seemed too accepting to be with them to how he started to pale for some unknown reason. Her concentration was interrupted when Stark began speaking to her.

"And just might who you be? I mean, I know almost everyone but I don't know you hot stuff," he asked as he moved to stand next to her.

"I don't matter. But what your friend clad in the colors said is true, This God apparently took out a large amount of people and has been on this planet less than a day yet we were able to subdue him quite easily. I didn't even have to..."she trailed off as their ship was met with thundering skies that appeared out of no where.

"Where is this coming from?" Natasha barked angrily as she managed to continue flying.

"What's the matter? Are you scared of a little lightning?" Rogers questioned the now squeamish Loki.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows."

AUTHORS NOTE: OH WOW. This one was a long one. But we've met the Avengers. Delved into some more of her past. Watched some of her powers come to life. I'm still deciding what the beast will look like and have actually a concept in mind but that will be revealed later tehehehehe I hope those reading enjoyed it as much as I did writing it out! I'm trying to stick to the MCU and obviously some things will change but I do hope that my character doesn't come off as some Mary Sue (I think that's the expression) and bore you. I promise the monsters identity and origin will come to light, I'm already working on the next chapter :)

Please leave a like, a comment, or questions/advice if you may wish to do. Anything will help me! I'm so excited to finally start posting and I hope I'll do this story idea justice.

Thanks so much! ~ TheDaringFlower01
