"Burn." A cold and malicious voice growled out as a group of drug dealers stared into what would soon become their final moments alive. The blue, blistering hot flames of cremation brushed through them as their bodies were whisked away. All of their skin, bones, and muscle evaporated, only leaving behind a small pile of ashes on the floor.
A heavy sigh escaped the charred and burned lips of a skinny man standing at the end of an alleyway. His body was decently fit, and his clothing choice was rather bizarre. The outfit of the stranger consisted of a black coat with silver bandings over the short sleeves. Black, stretchy pants covered the person's legs as their white sneakers stood on the dirty floor that belonged to the alleyway.
His tattered white undershirt covered what seemed to be stitching. Purple, rotting skin peeked out from the neck hole of the baggy white undershirt. His dyed black hair rested atop his head as his shining blue eyes stared down the alleyway. Underneath his eyes was more of that rotting purple skin, stitched back on like that of a Frankenstein's monster. This also was the case with his entire lower jaw.
The very same skin showed up again on his arms and lower hands. The only parts of the man's hands that were spared from that fate were his fingers. His imposing demeanour gave anyone who looked at him the chills, and as he raised his hand to his face, he blew off the hot smoke that came pouring off of it.
This man's name was Dabi. He was a well-known Vigilante that many people theorized to be, in some way, related to the number two pro hero, Endeavor.
"And so, another group of scum falls to the wayside," Dabi muttered as he stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets. He wasn't one for words, and when he did speak, it was in a tone of finality. Turning heel, he walked out of the alleyway with a lazy disposition.
The drug dealers he had taken out were related to the smuggling and dealing of a drug known as Trigger. It was a Quirk-boosting drug that empowered the abilities of one's Quirk, with the drawback of removing all senses of the person who took the drug.
Due to the drug's effects, it was considered a new type of steroids and made illegal in the same year it was discovered. Dabi could only roll his eyes at the prospect of the drug. Why use a drug to get stronger when you could just train yourself and your body to get stronger? While Dabi knew personally why some might do that, he figured that there was no gain if there was no pain, henceforth why he too believed the drug was a bunch of nonsense.
Walking into a pedestrian crowd, he scanned around to see if there were any more petty criminals on the loose. He may not have been a hero, well, a legal hero, but he still looked out for any wayward villains or sudden villain attacks.
When living in Hosu, you always had to be on the lookout for petty theft or attempted rape. "Maybe I should visit Natsuo at college… or maybe check on Fuyumi to make sure dad hasn't turned her into a drone…" Dabi groaned out as he walked to a bus stop. Placing his hand on a metal pole, he leaned against the side of the bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive.
There were a couple of middle schoolers glancing at him from time to time. He could tell one of them wanted to ask if he was a villain. He could tell just by the glint in their eyes. He grunted, glancing at the teens as a small smirk came upon his lips.
"What do you want." Dabi groaned as one of the teens jumped. The teen in question was a girl. She had blue eyes, orange hair and was wearing a Somei Academy uniform. She had no idea how the man found out that she wanted to ask him something, but if he knew, then she might as well ask.
"A-Are you ok? You have a lot o-of burns on your arms…" The girl said as Dabi sighed. He shook his head before snickering to himself.
"Nah, I'm good. Just a side effect of my Quirk." Dabi said as the bus appeared. The door opened as he got out a couple of coins from his pocket. Walking onto the bus, he put them in the machine and got his ticket. It would be a long bus ride to the Todoroki Estate, and besides, if he was lucky, no one would be there.
He planned to take a couple of things from his old room then leave before anyone could catch him. He had remembered that when Enji Todoroki told the world that Touya Todoroki had died, he had stolen one of Natsuo's keys and kept it with him.
Dabi had a distinct hatred for the number two pro hero. The man was abusive, manipulative, and only out for power. He was the complete opposite of a hero in Dabi's books. Despite all the good Endeavour had done, Enji Todoroki was a closeted villain.
Dabi was a prone believer in Stain's ideals, even down to killing fake heroes. However, he knew a misconception when he saw it, something that Stain didn't see. If a hero ever made a bad decision, in Stain's eyes, that made them fake. But Dabi knew that heroes were people too, and they can sometimes make bad mistakes.
For example, he thought that Stain's latest kill, Elasta-girl, was a mistake on his part. Elasta-girl was a good hero who made a single mistake of failing to save a little girl from a burning building. He didn't know why Stain killed her, maybe there was something that he didn't see that Stain saw, but he didn't agree with the hero killer there at the end of the day.
The bus came to a halt as a couple of people got off the bus, and two more people got on the bus. Dabi watched as they sat next to each other. They talked to one another in a way that Dabi couldn't make out what they said. One of them had a bag, and the other was wearing some sort of satchel. He scanned the bus to see who was on it.
There were no notable faces. All accept one—a girl with white and red hair. The hair looked mostly white with streaks of red. She had bluish-white eyes, glasses, and she was wearing a black sweater and a pair of jeans. Dabi recognized the woman to be Fuyumi Todoroki.
Dabi sighed, walking over to the woman and taking a seat next to her. "Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to move over, sir?" The woman asked, glancing at him before grimacing. "Oh my, are you ok?" The woman asked as Dabi sighed.
"I'm doing just fine. But I do want to warn you of something." Dabi said, pointing over to the two gentlemen in the seats just a few spaces to the left. "Those two are most likely robbers. Now, judging by how your hair is styled or by the way your skin is, you either have a form of Ice Quirk mixed with some fire resistance or strictly an Ice Quirk. Is my guess correct?" Dabi whispered as Fuyumi went wide-eyed.
"W-Why yes, but what does that have t-to do with-" Fuyumi was interrupted by Dabi as he shushed her.
"Now, on my count, I'd say in… five seconds, I'm going to get you to freeze my right arm. Then, when those robbers stand up and brandish their Quirks or weapons, I'll blast them with a consistent stream of low-temperature fire. Ok?" Dabi said as Fuyumi raised an eyebrow.
"How do you-"
"Just do it, ok? Lives are on the line here, and while I may not be a hero, I refuse to let some innocent people get robbed or killed. Now, on my count… five." Dabi started as he watched the robbers closely. Fuyumi reluctantly placed her hand on Dabi's arm as Ice began to form slowly.
"Four," Dabi muttered as the two men nodded. One reached for their satchel, and the other had their nails extend.
"Three," one of the robbers cleared their throats as the other began to stand up.
"Two," Fuyumi braced herself to freeze the vigilante's arm as people on the bus began to murmur and question what the men wanted. One of them drew out a revolver and brandished it.
"One," Dabi said as Fuyumi flinched, freezing Dabi's arm as the robber was about to open his mouth to announce that 'this was a robbery,' all until Dabi stood up, raised his hand, and smirked. "I have the quicker draw," Dabi stated as a thin stream of blue flames shot out from his palm and blasted the armed man's hand, melting the gun and severely burning his hand.
"What the-!?" The other man said as Dabi punched him under the chin as the ice on his arm melted. The robber was knocked out as the people on the bus cheered. One even recognized him as the vigilante known as Dabi, which made him smirk.
Meanwhile, Fuyumi was flabbergasted. She had just aided a well-known vigilante. What would Natsuo think? Better yet, what would her dad think knowing she aided the vigilante? She was worried that her father might chastise her for 'stepping out of her place' or worse. That was when Dabi walked up to her and smirked. He picked up something of his before turning around.
"Thanks for the help," Dabi stated, walking away as the bus stopped. The two criminals were out for the count as someone called the police. Fuyumi, with only one thing on her mind, also got off the bus and decided to follow the man. After a 20 to 30 minute walk, she was shocked to find that he was walking towards her and her family's house.
She should've clued into that by the time they came close to the street their house was on.
She stayed quiet, watching him from a distance as he pulled out a key and unlocked the front door. How he had a key to the front door, she didn't know. As he stepped into the house, and as the door slowly began to close, that's when she made her move. She walked up to the door and entered, clearing her throat rather loudly.
Dabi turned around and sighed. "Oops, should've realized you were going to be here since you were on that bus. Thought you were going to work, Fuyumi." Dabi stated, catching her off guard.
"How do you know my name?! Better yet, how do you have a key to this house!" Fuyumi nearly shouted as Dabi let out a long, drawn-out sigh.
"Well, I guess I have changed since the last time we saw each other. Plus, the dye in my hair doesn't help that fact. I really wasn't supposed to reveal to anyone that I was still alive, but since I know you can keep secrets, Fuyu, I can trust you not to tell Enji or Natsuo this." Dabi stated as he grabbed a bottle of dye remover from his pocket.
Opening up the bottle, he dumped the liquid out onto his hair as the black dye came out. Fuyumi had to repress a gasp. Tears began to form in her eyes as her whole body shook with a rush of emotions. "N-No… Y-You, I… but…."
Dabi smirked. "Miss me, Sis?"
To say that Fuyumi was having a hard time comprehending this revelation was an understatement. Their father had told them that Touya was dead and that he died in a forest fire of his own causing. She had suspected that Dabi might've been someone related to their family, like a cousin or something, but for him to be Touya was… it was just not possible.
She had never drunk any sort of alcohol before, but she believed that now would have to be a damn good time to open up a bottle of wine and pour herself a large glass of the stuff. She knew that Natsuo lived on his own and that their father would be at the agency till at the very least midnight. Shoto was still at school and wouldn't be home until 4:30, so she let Da… No… Touya; she still couldn't believe she was thinking or even saying that, stay for a while and even use the shower.
Taking a sip of the wine in the glass, she shuttered at its bitter taste. Out of all the things that she had thought of happening, seeing Touya again wasn't one of those things. For the first time in a long time, she cried with ugly sobs as she hugged Touya, not wanting to let him go.
Of course, that was 15 minutes ago, and she had to let him take a shower. She had to admit he smelled like he crawled out of a dumpster. The sound of a door closing and a pair of footsteps walking down the stairs made her turn around to see her brother. His stitched and patched-together body was still soaking wet as steam rose off of the purple rotting skin.
He was wearing an undershirt and the pair of pants he came with. His jacket was on a coat rack just outside of the door as his hair was matted down due to the water from the shower. "I still can't believe how much you've changed," Touya said as Fuyumi sighed.
Touya raised an eyebrow as he glanced at the drink in her glass. "You drink?"
"I do now." Fuyumi huffed as Touya sighed.
"Look, I get it, this is a great big shock to the system, but-"
"A GREAT BIG SHOCK!" Fuyumi interrupted as tears came to her eyes. "This isn't just a 'great big shock!' The fact that you're alive is… it's… words can't describe how much we've all missed you! Why didn't you come back! Why are you here?! I… I… I just…" Fuyumi stopped as she wiped tears off her cheeks.
Touya felt bad. He knew full well this would happen if he was caught, which was why he was banking on her going to work. It was only 10:30 am, so maybe she was having a day off today? Maybe it was one of those 'no school days' that sometimes happen from time to time.
Reaching out for her, she stood up and hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder as he lowered his head. "Look… I… I'm sorry, Fuyu. I just couldn't come back, not after he said to the world that I was dead. Besides, I couldn't come back to that type of household. Enji was abusive, and as far as I'm concerned, he still is." Touya stated, raising his head as Fuyumi let go of him.
"I didn't want to be part of something I hated. Don't take that the wrong way, either. I love you, same with Natsuo and Shoto. I-"
"Then tell them you're alive! Do you know how much Natsuo has missed you! He cried himself to sleep for three years straight when you supposedly died. Your death shook the family to its core. Mom snapped and hurt Shoto on accident, Natsuo nearly killed himself, and… I… I had to replace mom. Dad became even worse. It was… it was brutal, horrible. That's not even to mention dad's sending me off to marry some guy I don't even know-"
"HE WHAT?!" The rage in his tone was something only comparable to that of Enji's as Touya had practically lit his whole right hand on fire. Fuyumi knew that reaction was coming, but even still, it made her jump. "Enji's cruel, awful, and downright criminal, but you mean to tell me he roped you into an arranged marriage!" Touya nearly shouted as Fuyumi sighed.
"Yes… but it's not for another two years or so… still, I just. I met the guy once. He seems nice. It's a Quirk marriage. He's got a similar Quirk to mine but better. It was at the request of Dad. Their family friends apparently and well-"
"That doesn't matter! He has no right to do that! Did you even try to fight back against it?!" Touya asked, angered and enraged as Fuyumi scoffed.
"Right, like I could! Where would that get me? Nowhere. I have no choice." Fuyumi said as Touya's blood began to boil. He had never been so angry in his life. Enji was many things. He was a hero during the day and a monster when he was at home. From what he knew, he pushed Shoto to only using his ice, and he sent his mother to the hospital. The last thing he wanted was for Fuyumi and Natsuo to be hurt by him.
But now, that had happened, and the brotherly side of Touya was relit, even if it was only for a few minutes.
"No, you have a choice. Stand up to him every once in a while. If he threatens you, call me. I'll deal with him." Touya said as Fuyumi looked away from the vigilante. "Fuyu, please… I don't want you to suffer. How's about this, we both go to meet him, and I'll judge him with you. If you don't like him, tell Enji that you're opposed to it. Trust me. I know a sleaze bag when I see one." Touya said as Fuyumi nodded.
"Good. Now…" Touya said as he looked at the time. It was 11:15 am. It was time for Touya to leave and become Dabi once again. "I have to go. I'll be back, I promise. I have things to do, people to put to justice and all that nonsense." Touya said as Fuyumi giggled as she wiped a tear from her eye.
"Please… be safe… I don't want to lose you again." Fuyumi said as Touya smiled.
"I can't promise a thing, but what I can do is try. Remember, do NOT tell anyone that I'm still alive. I'm going to dye my hair, then leave. Ok?" Touya stated as Fuyumi nodded.
Walking up the stairs to the bathroom, he opened up the bathroom door and walked inside. Opening up one of the cabinets, he looked through it to find a bottle of black dye. Taking the bottle, he opened it and put some into his hair. The dye was moulded with his hair almost instantly as his body's heat made the chemical reaction react faster.
He looked into the mirror and sighed. Touya Todoroki was no more. He died in the fire. As Dabi, he would clear the streets of all the fake heroes and villains until none remained, only leaving the pure heroes. Stepping back from the mirror, he sighed. "Touya is no more. Only Dabi remains." The withered adult said as he stepped out of the bathroom.
Fuyumi stood at the doorway, a pained smile on her face as Touya felt a pang of guilt wash over him. Walking down the stairs and over to the entrance, Fuyumi hugged him, putting her face into his chest. "Promise me you'll see me again, Touya-nii…" Fuyumi said as Touya hugged her back.
"I promise." They stayed in the embrace for a few more seconds before they pulled apart. Touya threw his coat over his shoulders and onto his arms as he exited through the front door. He came to get a few things from his past. Instead, he reconnected with his younger sister—something he liked more.
The final month was on its close, and Izuku had decided to start his new plan. Of course, him knowing a future U.A. student would be useful in the long run, but that was just the beginning. He planned to have a network of people he knew in every hero school to get information on all of them: potential recruits and the like. Of course, having a spy in every school would be hard to keep track of, so in the end, he decided to get Miu and Bakugo to act as spies for him.
Was spy the right word? Maybe, he thought it made more sense if the word 'Agent' was used. The word Spy felt dirty and didn't match with what he had planned. He had his Agents, but now he needed a headquarters—a base of operations. A hideout in case things get rough. Using around 15 million yen, he bought an older dingy bar off the side of Kamino to use as a base of operations.
It was semi-functional and looked abandoned. Perfect for a secret base. Of course, the Kamino ward was a few miles away from where he lived, in Musutafu. He needed a way to travel places quicker, and that's when he met him. Many people knew him as Warpgate. A villain turned vigilante after he found out about how his masters used him without him realizing it.
He was a walking corpse stuffed with artificial Quirks to give him sentience. However, he freed himself of his metaphorical shackles after a part of his past self reawakened due to something going wrong with his programming.
The man's name was Kurogiri. The two met when the person in question was, ironically enough, feeding ducks by a pond. It was a calming day that day. Not much was happening, and Izuku was taking a walk in the park. Kurogiri just so happened to be sitting at a bench feeding the ducks and pigeons at this time, and the young Izuku found no better way to introduce himself to the man than right there.
"Beautiful day, isn't it?" Izuku asked, walking up to the bench, sitting next to the giant purple humanoid cloud as the man hummed.
"I suppose it is. Do I know you?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku shook his head.
"No, we never met. But I know you. You're the villain turned vigilante. What did they call you? A Nomu, or something like that? Oh well." Izuku said as he pulled out a notepad.
"So, you know what I am? You must do your research then if you're that knowledgeable of my cursed existence." Kurogiri stated as he threw bread crumbs to the birds sitting before him.
"I'm glad you noticed. Here's a question for you. Have you ever wanted to be in something bigger than yourself, Kurogiri?" Izuku asked as the mist-man took a second to think.
"No, I don't suppose I have. You have something in mind, don't you? Something bigger than yourself, correct?" Kurogiri guessed as the green-haired boy cracked a wry grin.
"That would be correct, yes. I'm creating a league made specifically of vigilantes that want to turn the system on its head, to free the world of its shackles." Izuku said as Kurogiri hummed.
"Oh? How do you plan to do that?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku smirked.
"I want to expose all the fake heroes of the world, rework the hero system, turn it on its head. The heroes of now are focused on one thing and one thing alone: money and fame. The root cause comes from All Might merely existing. His time is running short. He's growing older and weaker. Once he fizzles out, either naturally or forced by someone else, the country will go to shit. Villainy will no doubt run wild, chaos will spread like wildfire, and I want to be the one to start this trend before someone else does." Izuku said as he began to scratch at his neck.
"I want to destroy the hero system, and I want to reinstate it and fix it. Mould it so that it's harder to become a hero, make those without Quirks have a better shot at life, and filter out all the fakes." Izuku said as Kurogiri sighed.
"You sound more like a villain right now than a vigilante," Kurogiri stated as Izuku sighed.
"I am aware. But I don't think of myself as a vigilante. I see myself more as an Anti-Hero—a villain who has good intentions. You know the saying, the road to hell is paved with good intentions? That's my philosophy, mixed with some of Stain's ideals." Izuku stated as Kurogiri nodded.
"I see—a villain who sees himself as the harbinger of good. But what I don't understand is why you're coming to me? What do I have to do with all of this?" Kurogiri asked the teen as Izuku smirked.
"Well, considering everything I just said, and considering your Quirk is perfect from getting from point A to point B, you'd be perfect in helping me and any future members get in and out of missions. Plus, you seem like a chill guy to hang around with." Izuku said, turning to the mist-man. He extended one of his gloved hands to him in a gesture of friendship. "So what do you say? Wanna help me revamp this society?" Izuku asked as Kurogiri hummed.
"What happens if I say no?" Kurogiri asked, testing the waters.
"Not much I can do to stop you. I'm not a violent individual despite all I've said. I'm not going to hunt you down or try and kill you if you don't accept. I'm merely extending an offer to you. Whether you take the offer is up to you completely." Izuku said.
If Kurogiri had a mouth, he'd smirk. "Alright, count me in," Kurogiri said, taking the boy's hand.
"Thank's, Kurogiri. The name's Izuku Midoriya. In hindsight, I probably should've told you my name first, but hindsight is 20/20." They shook hands as Izuku gave him a note with directions to the new secret bar. "Since your Quirk requires you to know the directions and or location of the headquarters, here you go. It's a dingy bar that I bought for real cheap. It's located in Kamino Ward." Izuku stated as Kurogiri hummed.
"You came a long way just to have the chance to meet up with me. I like your dedication." Kurogiri complemented as a purple portal appeared in front of them. "Well, let us be off." Kurogiri said as Izuku smiled. Today just got a whole lot better.
When Izuku approached Katsuki Bakugo about being a secret agent in his so-called 'League of Vigilantes, he wanted to laugh him off at first. However, as Izuku told him more about the perks of actually being in the group, Katsuki couldn't help but wonder if he really should join him.
They had recently just become friends once again, so it wouldn't be a stretch for him to ask for help. But to actively be in another group and feed Izuku Information about what they're doing at U.A. would not only have a chance of backfiring, but it could end his hero career.
Vigilantes who form groups instantly get classified as villains, and while he knew Izuku was not a villain, the government and the hero commission would beg to differ if he pulled off a massive stunt. What was his goal? What did he plan to do? Right now, he didn't quite know.
However, standing in front of U.A. after the entrance exam had passed a week ago came to no one's surprise. Katsuki knew he would get in. That was obvious. What he wasn't too thrilled about was that Izuku, for all his talk of wanting to be a hero in their earlier years, wasn't there.
It sort of disheartened the blond bomber that his old friend was not at U.A. with him. Then again, he knew it was his fault. He broke the kid's dreams and wishes, and he was the one that became the hero. In the back of his mind, he knew he didn't deserve this. He knew he should be suffering right now and not at the most prestigious hero school in all of Japan.
Yet here he was.
All of his 'hard work' paid off.
All the times he tormented and berated Izuku had paid off.
He squashed that insignificant bug that was the supposed villain Izuku into the dirt.
He was the hero. He was a Hero. Hero. Hero. Hero. Hero. Hero-
No…. He wasn't a hero. Not yet. Izuku said it himself when the day came. "Remember, Kacchan. You're no hero. To me, you are a villain. Change my mind, and maybe I'll forgive you for what you did. I may be your friend right now. But I still hate your guts."
"I'll show you, Midoriya. I'll show you just how much of a hero I am!" Katsuki said under his breath as he entered his classroom. Class 1-A. He took a seat at a desk as he sent a passing glance to Iida Tenya. Putting his feet up on his desk, he reclined back and closed his eyes.
"Excuse me!"
Oh great.
"What do you want, Iida." Katsuki spat.
"Get your feet off your desk! It's disrespectful!"
"You know me, Iida. I'm not doing that. Piss off."
"You dare disrespect U.A.!"
"I'll disrespect your face if you don't fuck off!"
With that, Iida huffed back to his desk. He knew full well just how much of a stick was up sonic's ass. Sonic was his nickname that he had given the engine Quirk user. While Iida didn't find it funny, Miu found it hilarious.
He sort of missed Miu. Even if she was a massive dweeb, she had a sense of humour he could relate to. A couple of other students trickled in. No one, other than Yaoyorozu Momo, and Iida Tenya, caught his eye. He barely hung out with those people, and in all honesty, he could've cared less.
That was until someone he didn't expect walked into the room. "No fuckin' way…" Bakugo said, his shocked expression confused a couple in the class as there, standing in the doorway, was Miu Iruma.
"Oh, for the love of God. I'm in your fuckin' class Bakuho…" Miu said carelessly as Bakugo shook his head. He didn't understand. Why was Miu at U.A.? If he remembered correctly, Miu wanted to go to Ketsubutsu academy, not U.A.
"The hell are you here for bitch tits? I thought you-"
"Hey! That's nice of you to say!" A pink-skinned girl said as Miu looked at her incredulously.
"What? Can't he call me by my nickname, ya pink fuck? Butt out, will ya!" Miu said as the pink-skinned girl looked on in disbelief.
"That's your nickname! Why do you let him degrade you like that?!" The pink-skinned girl said, confused as Miu gritted her teeth.
"What are ya, little miss kink shamer! Fuck you whore!" Miu shouted as Bakugo cleared his throat.
"Oi, Iruma, not a good time to get all bitchy with everyone," Bakugo stated as Miu sighed.
"You're fucking lucky I love you, Bakuho," Miu said as Bakugo sighed.
Unbeknownst to both Satoshi and Izuku, Miu and Katsuki hooked up and were together. Miu made it clear to Katsuki that she wasn't going to keep him a virgin for long, and she wasn't kidding on that either. To say their first date turned quickly into going to a love hotel was an understatement.
They wanted to keep their relationship a secret. Bakugo's reason was that he didn't want the nerd to bug him about it, and Miu's reason was so that Satoshi didn't get too nosey like he tended to do.
They'd been dating for four months, and to say that it was going smoothly would be an understatement. They were meant for each other both personality-wise and mentality-wise. But what confused Bakugo was seeing her here.
"What are you even doing at U.A., to begin with? I thought you went to go to Ketsubutsu." Bakugo asked as Miu sighed, taking a seat next to him.
"Same here, till I found out they overcharged people for their program. I mean, 500,000 yen every four months. Can you fucking believe that! So ya, I dipped out of that shit and got recommended by the ninja hero guy." Miu said as Bakugo sighed. That was probably the most elaborate explanation that she would give, so he'd rather not tempt fate and just roll with it.
"Tch, whatever."
"If you came here to socialize, now's the time where you should leave." A cold and stern voice said as everyone turned their attention to a man laying down in a sleeping bag. The man sipped away at a juice box before standing up in the sleeping bag before taking it off. "My name is Shota Aizawa. I'm your homeroom teacher." The man said before taking out what seemed like a gym uniform from his sleeping bag.
"I know this might be sudden, but put these on and go out to the back," Aizawa said as everyone grabbed their uniforms and left the classroom. Bakugo had a feeling about what this would be, and so did Miu. Neither of them liked where this was going.
When Kurogiri got to the bar, he thought it'd look much worse than what he saw before him. But, as it turned out. It looked clean. All the lights were in working order, and there were even new bottles of wine, vodka, whisky, and other expensive liquors lining the walls behind the counter. He had to say, he was impressed.
"When you said that this was a run-down bar, I was expecting something like a dingy, dusty, and disgusting place filled with rats and spiders. This place seems well taken care of." Kurogiri said as Izuku sighed.
"Well, I did renovations two weeks ago. Trust me, it was as exactly as you described it to be before me and a friend of mine did some cleaning." Izuku said as Kurogiri tilted his misty head.
"A friend?" He asked.
"Yes, a friend. He's planning to join Japan's army, so he won't be much of a threat unless we do something that gets the military involved." Izuku said as Kurogiri nodded.
"Mr. Midoriya, may I ask you something?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku sat down on a barstool before placing a hand on his cheek.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Does your mother know about this?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku's expression saddened. "Oh, is something the matter?" Kurogiri asked, concerned as Izuku sighed.
"Well, ya see, my mother's dead. I live with my aunt right now. She knows about me owning a bar. She just doesn't know what I'm doing here. She might stop by every now and again, so if a blond-haired woman with red eyes comes to the door, let her in, that's my aunt." Izuku said as Kurogiri nodded.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Kurogiri said as Izuku smiled lightly.
"Thanks, Kurogiri," Izuku said as a knock on the door rang out in the building.
"I'll get it," Izuku said, getting off the barstool as he pushed open the door. Standing there was Masaru Bakugo, and Mitsuki Bakugo.
"Aunt, Uncle. Good to see you here." Izuku said as Masaru raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"You own this place? Mitsuki, you said we were going to a new bar. You forgot to mention that Izuku ran it." Masaru said as Mitsuki snickered.
"Of course I forgot, it was a surprise. Izuku, can we come in?" Mitsuki asked as Izuku let them inside. Once they stepped inside, they noticed Kurogiri standing at the bar, cleaning out a glass with a cloth.
"You even hired a bartender? Damn Izuku, you're fast." Mitsuki said as Kurogiri looked at them.
"You must be Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo. Midoriya has told me about you, even if it was briefly. What would you like today?" Kurogiri asked as Mitsuki was the first to speak.
"One glass of red wine, if you have it, that is…." Mitsuki said as Kurogiri turned around, grabbed a bottle of red wine, found a wine glass, then poured it.
"One red wine for you, Mrs. Bakugo. On the house." Kurogiri said as Mitsuki smiled.
"Thank you, sir."
"What about you, Mr. Bakugo?" Kurogiri asked as Masaru rubbed his chin.
"Uh, how about a shot of whisky. That'll do." Masaru said as Kurogiri served up the drink in a matter of seconds.
"Here you go, Mr. Bakugo," Kurogiri said as Masaru took it and shot it down.
"Midoriya, do you want anything?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku hummed.
"Just a milkshake," Izuku said as Kurogiri nodded, going into a fridge and grabbing him a chocolate milkshake. To the Bakugo's, it seemed like there had been premade Milkshakes in the fridge, but in reality, Kurogiri just stole it from a milkshake shack he used to frequent before he became a Nomu.
"Thank's, Kurogiri," Izuku said as he took a sip of his Milkshake.
"So, Izuku, do you plan to go to a high school or are you just not going to bother. 'Cause if you aren't going to bother, then I'm gonna homeschool ya." Mitsuki said as Kurogiri chuckled.
"It's quite alright, Mrs. Bakugo. I've been helping him with school-related measures. I used to be a teacher before I became a bartender." Kurogiri lied, not wanting to expose the fact that he was, in laments terms, a hyper-intelligent corpse.
"Oh, well then, never mind then." Mitsuki said as Masaru smiled.
"Thank you for doing that, sir. It means a lot." Masaru said as Kurogiri waved it off.
"Oh, it's nothing really. He's funny to be around, so I don't mind." Kurogiri said as he hummed. "Although I do want to ask you something. What's your Quirk?" Kurogiri asked Midoriya as he sighed. The green-haired boy glanced at his gloved hands before smirking.
"Decay. It allows me to decay anything my hand touches. I wear these gloves, so it doesn't activate on its own. All five fingers need to touch something for it to work, so that's why my gloves aren't turning into dust right now." Izuku said as Kurogiri nodded.
"I see. Such a versatile Quirk. It reminds me of my old masters' Quirk." Kurogiri said as Mitsuki raised an eyebrow.
"Master? What do you mean by that?" Mitsuki asked as Kurogiri sighed.
"Before I was a teacher, and before I was a bartender. I worked for a Yakuza named the Shie Hissaikai. It was more of an off-and-on thing. I acted as a transport for them, and they paid me. Their leader has a similar Quirk to your Nephew's. He destroys everything he touches, but he can also put things back together." Kurogiri lied as Mitsuki blinked.
"So wait, you're an ex-Yakuza, ex-teacher, now full-time bartender?" Mitsuki asked as Kurogiri nodded. "Well, that's rather… interesting," Mitsuki commented, swishing her drink in her glass. Taking another sip, she sighed at Kurogiri as he cleared his throat.
"Just so that you know, we close in 2 hours. There are still more… renovations that need to be made." The mist man lied as he glanced at Midoriya, who nodded.
"I see, ok, well if that's the case, then I guess I'll have a few more shots of that whisky," Masaru said as Kurogiri nodded. He filled up a few more shot glasses full of whisky and passed them to Masaru. With a smirk on his face, he downed one of them as Mitsuki smiled.
"Try not to get to shit-faced dear," Mitsuki said as Masaru nodded.
"I know, honey," Masaru said as he burped. Kurogiri sighed as Midoriya motioned to follow him to the back room.
"Excuse us. We have something we need to discuss. It is about your Nephew's school work." Kurogiri said as Mitsuki nodded, taking a sip of her wine. The pair left the room for the backroom as Kurogiri sighed.
"So, what is your plan of action when these family members of yours leave?" Kurogiri asked, his voice barely louder than a whisper.
"I honestly don't know right at this moment in time. However, what I will say, is that we will have to spread out our reach. Increase our influence. I think I have an idea of what to do, and, to be completely honest, I don't know if I even like it." Izuku said as Kurogiri raised a none existent eyebrow.
"And what would that be?" Kurogiri asked as Izuku's gaze darkened.
"We must get into contact with Dabi and recruit him."
Dabi, who was in his apartment at this point, hadn't expected to be face-to-face with a masked individual in his own home. The person wore a black hoodie, a ski mask and was wearing oddly designed gloves. The individual in question entered his home not through a window nor the front door. Rather, a black portal that had appeared out of nowhere.
"Who're you, and what do you want?" Dabi asked, readying himself for a fight in case he needed to as the small man? Child maybe? Leaned against a wall with a stare that read nothing but admiration and respect.
"I would give you an answer, but I'm afraid that if you want that kind of information, you'd have to open up about yourself, Touya Todoroki." The man said. He was using a voice changer, meaning Dabi couldn't figure out who he was. However, that wasn't the issue. His issue was to how the man knew his name.
"How do you know that name?" Dabi asked, a hint of venom in his voice as the man chuckled darkly.
"I made a pitstop before coming here. Does the name Fuyumi mean anything to you?" The man said as Dabi's eyes widened. "Fret not. I did nothing to her. She's a nice person, honestly. Even though I was a stranger to her, she let me in and hosted me for a while. You're lucky to be blessed with a family." The man said as he looked at his hands before shooting a glare at him. "Now, could you imagine my surprise when I mentioned you? She suddenly turned hostile and attacked me. She lost a finger because of that, shame, honestly. Again, fret not. She now has a metallic prosthetic, one that I stole but nonetheless." The boy said, standing up normally as Dabi could feel the smirk on his face radiate off of the boy.
"It led me straight to you." The man said as Dabi grimaced.
"I can't be mad at you for defending yourself. My sister was in the wrong, but what do you want with me?"Dabi asked, his voice containing a hint of anger as the man sighed.
"I think it should be obvious. I want you to join my league. We plan to wipe the world of fake heroes and rid the world of this corrupt society. Of course, not by causing chaos and destroying cities. No, by reforming it. You would be a key player in this, and besides. We could use firepower like yourself." The man said as Dabi raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, really now. Why should I?" Dabi asked.
"Why wouldn't you, is the better question." The man replied as Dabi hummed. While the response was typical of most generic Saturday morning cartoon villains, he had to admit, Dabi was amused with how direct the boy/small man was.
"What will you do if I don't join you?" Dabi asked. 'If he threatens my sister, he's a dead man.'
"Nothing. I will do nothing. I'm not the violent type of recruiter. You join on your own violation—nothing else, nothing more." The man replied as Dabi smirked.
"Well then, I'll think about it. But, now I have a question for you." Dabi said as the man motioned him to continue.
"How did you find me? Better yet, why do you want my services?" Dabi asked as the man sighed.
"I'll answer those only if you join me. Otherwise, those answers won't be given." The man said as Dabi grimaced. He knew for a fact that this guy was serious. The way he positioned himself was immediately as the one in the power of the situation. For all he knew, that person who sent him here had a couple of hundred people ready to attack him if he overstepped his boundaries. He wasn't willing to push his body any further than he already had dealing with a drug syndicate today.
"I see…" Dabi hummed, now concerned with his information getting out there. His eye gleamed ever so slightly. He was willing to kill this person if it meant that his identity stayed a secret. It was at that point when, in the blink of an eye, the man was now in front of him with an ungloved hand around his neck, only one finger just floating above his chin as Dabi's eyes widened.
"Don't think I didn't see that glint in your eye. You planned on attacking me. I've watched you for a year now, Touya Todoroki, and I know what that glint means. So, if I were you, you'd back down, or once this finger drops, your head will be separated from your body." The man said as Dabi grunted.
"Alright, alright, I get it. I'll back off. Let go of me." Dabi said as the man let him go, putting the glove back on as the portal appeared once again.
"We'll be in contact. Just remember. If you want answers, I'll be waiting, Touya Todoroki." The man said as he disappeared through the portal and away from view. Dabi sighed. He was glad that over and done with. He wanted to call Fuyumi, but by now, he knew Shoto would be home, and now he had lost his chance.
"Damnit. I just hope she's ok…" Dabi muttered as he leaned against the wall.
Izuku stepped into the bar via Kurogiri's portal as the mist man greeted him with a nod. "How did the meeting go with Dabi, Midoriya?" The mist man asked as Izuku took off the mask and unhinged the voice changer from said mask. Placing the hunk of plastic and metal down on the bar table, Izuku sat on one of the bar stools, a small smirk on his face.
"The meeting went surprisingly well, at least, in my eyes, it did," Izuku said as Kurogiri hummed. "Although I do feel bad for hurting his sister, Fuyumi, it was either that or I ended up with a fork in my throat. Despite how meek she looked, she is much stronger than I thought. Perhaps she could also be a good candidate for the league if she had the heart for it," Izuku stated, causing Kurogiri to raise an eyebrow.
"She attacked you? Interesting… I didn't think that the most passive of the Todoroki's would have it in them to attack someone. I guess you learn something new every day. Was there a reason for this attack?" Kurogiri questioned as Izuku sighed.
"I asked her about Touya Todoroki's whereabouts. The moment I asked her for that information, it was like a switch flipped on in her head, and she got angry. At first, she told me to leave, but when I told her I wouldn't leave without his whereabouts, she jumped straight to violence. She's now missing a finger, as you know, as you stole a metal prosthetic from a store for me," Izuku said as Kurogiri nodded.
"That explains why you called me only fifteen minutes after you had me send you there," Kurogiri said as Izuku hummed. The greenette looked around the room and noticed the time. Sighing to himself, he cleared his throat.
"Kurogiri, it is about time I go home. Would you mind sending me to my house? I gave you the address, did I not?" Izuku asked as Kurogiri nodded, creating a portal for him.
"Have a good rest of your day, sir," The mist man said as Izuku waved to him, stepping through the portal as the bar was now silent, only leaving Kurogiri by his lonesome.
"It truly is empty after everyone leaves. Well, I guess I will make myself at home. The backroom will be my bedroom since I have no home of my own to go to," Kurogiri said as he walked behind the curtains and seeped into the darkness beyond.
-To Be Continued-
Sorry for the long wait. I know it's been, what, like two months or something. As you can see, the length of the chapter is the reason as to why. Plus, having to pre-plan the chapter and whatnot. It's somewhat hard to write fast with that kind of story.
So. Dabi is a vigilante, Fuyumi knows about his secret, and Izuku is trying to convince him to join the new league. Kurogiri is also a vigilante who broke free from his imprisonment as a Nomu. Also, Miu and Katsuki are in a relationship, funny how things work out, right?
Also, for those who were intentive enough to notice, Miu Iruma is NOT an OC! I know, how odd! The only thing 'OC' about her is her Quirk, Telekinesis. Her brother, on the other hand, is an OC. You see, Miu is actually from Danganronpa V3. The only thing, aside from her Quirk that makes her different than the original Miu, is the whole 'dyed hair' thing. To her being an inventor, to her being extremely vulgar, everything else is from Danganronpa related.
And for those wondering how All For One will fit into this story, don't worry. He has more to do with this than you think. Remember, everyone is playing 2D chess while he is constantly playing 8D chess with an extra added layer of hacks.
With that out of the way, I hope this chapter was well worth the wait, and I'll see you all in the next chapter of: Decaying Fates!
