"Missive for Uchiha Nakano!"

"Hai?" Came a chorus of voices.

"Who, exactly, are you looking for?"

"Uhm...I was only told Uchiha Nakano…"

"Tch."

Shikako sighed. "I'll go, see what they want. After all, I am a Nakano."

She followed the messenger, but returned 20 minutes later. Shikako went up to Nakano oba-san from the trading branch, and they conversed for a short while before Nakano oba-san left.

"What did they want?"

"Some trading matters that do not concern me. At all. Troublesome."

"This is what, the fifth time already?"

"Yes, this week alone." Shikako huffed, clearly upset. She is already very busy helping out with setting up Konoha's administrative system, and working on creating a seal that will bring them home at night. She does not need to be interrupted every other day. She's got shit to be done, ok?!

Shikako thinks long and hard of all possible solutions, but one stands out the most. Chuckling, she starts planning out her idea.

During dinner, Shikako brought up the inconvenience of sharing her name with many other Uchihas, and proposed that all Nakanos change their names, save one. She even argued that she is willing to spearhead the operation by changing her name to 'Shikako'. Obviously, her brothers(?) refuse.

"Why would you do that?! Senjus are stupid, don't bow to their whims." Izuna argued.

"Agreed, you have no need to do something as foolish as this. Let them stay confused." Madara concurred.

Sasuke, however, saw her ploy as a perfect solution. Shikako gets to reclaim her name, and the other clans will no longer confuse the Nakanos for one another. "Hn, seems good to me."

"Absolutely not, Sasuke! You don't want your sister to degrade herself by changing her identity! We're Uchiha, and we bow to no one! This is final!" Madara bellowed.

Shikako blinked. I guessed as much. Oh well, at least I tried to ask.

"Hn." Shikako continued eating as if nothing happened.

Seeing Shikako's behaviour, Sasuke is certain that Kako has a backup plan for this. She just wants to try the easy way first, and he's not sure if he wants to stick around to see her plans. Knowing Kako, she'll either blow up the Konoha records or something equally dramatic. Maybe he should join the trade caravans on their next trip, to be out of Konoha when the clusterfuck happens.

After dinner, when Sasuke and Shikako are lounging around, playing Go, Sasuke signs, "What are you planning?"

"Wait and see." Shikako smirks.

"Anything I can help?"

"Nah."

"You sure you aren't going to blow things up?" Sasuke raises his eyebrow.

"Hah. Afraid?"

Sasuke snorts. "No, but I'd like an alibi."

Shikako giggles. "Don't worry, you won't be implicated."

"Damn it Kako, we're a team! No secrets!"

"Nuh-uh." Shikako smiles secretively.

Two days later, during the monthly clan meeting, Shikako issued a challenge to all Nakanos.

"As everyone knows, the Senjus have been confusing us Nakanos with each other, which is annoying and a terrible waste of time. Konoha will grow to have more clans in the future, and they will most likely face the same trouble. To promote inter-clan harmony and goodwill, I hereby challenge all Uchiha Nakanos to a battle royale of jan-ken-pon. Whoever wins gets to keep the name, the rest of us have to have a month to prepare, good luck."

And promptly shunshins away.

"Uchiha Nakano!" Madara bellows.

Sasuke facepalms. I do not know this person.
