Just to be clear..there is no miraculous in this story..I should've mentioned that earlier..but anyways..on to the second chap!
"So, we're actually going to do this?", Alya said as her an marinette pulled out to the front of an very big chapel.
Marinette sighed, gathering up all of her strength, she nodded at her best friend quietly, trying to keep her confidence up.
Alya smiled nervously before Kim got out of the drivers seat, urging them to get out.
"Alright, we're here", he said.
The both of them got out on the opposite sides of the car, Alya following to the front with marinette.
"Good luck sis", Kim said laughing.
"Shut up", marinette said before she climbed the steps.
Alya had stopped, turning back to look at Kim, a face that said. "Just go with it", but marinette didn't notice and perused forward.
The two friends opened the doors, and immediate display of white glistening decorations and colorful foods all around them.
"Oh my gosh", Alya said shockingly. Marinette nodded her head in similarity.
"The food is as big as my parents bakery as a whole", the bluenette said in amazement. Alya had began to nervously shuffle as she looked around.
"Mari, there's a lot of people...like a lot", the reporter said. Marinette bit her lip in frustration.
"Of course, thats what Kim wanted", the designer said in frustration, "typical". Alya gasped, immediately pointing to the right of the large place.
"That's Gabriel agreste!" She yelled quietly. Marinette shot her attention towards her friends direction, a man with icy blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, while holding a champagne glass caught her attention.
"Shoot Kim..", marinette said. Gabriel was the designing company she was going for, and Kim knew this.
"I'm out!", Alya said, quickly leaving towards the doors.
"Alya no!", marinette said holding her friends hand. Alya pushed back, running as fast as she could. Unluckily, the reporter ran down the steps outside of the chapel, jumping into Kim's car. The small vehicle, driving away. Marinette screamed her name in frustration, realizing that she was just on the other side of Paris, the other side of her home.
There was no way that she'd be able to walk.
The young designer grunted in frustration, then turned and walked the rest back up the chapel stairs.
"There is no way..that I'm giving up now"...
This was awkward, so very awkward. People looked at her as she silently roamed the church, each lady with exquisite hats and jewelry than the next. They looked..wealthy.
Well of course, since Gabriel was there, he must of know someone with good money. Marinette blushed. As the guests turned heads to whisper, she could even hear them.
"Who is that?"
"She's definitely not from here"...
"I mean..look at her clothes"
The bluenette would be honest if she felt like running to hide in a hole...but she held her ground as much as she could. A couple 2 minutes had passed, when the 16 year old began to want to leave..
She had done the dare...she could leave now..right? I mean for heavens sake, Gabriel agreste was even staring at her...well there goes the chance of a lifetime. She slowly started to walk away before a voice caught her attention.
"Excuse me young lady..were you invited?", a small yet strict voice had said. Marinette turned around to see a woman with blonde hair and light green/grey eyes stare at her. The woman held a bouquet in her hand as a beautiful white gown slid down her. Marinette felt dizzy.
It was the bride!
"I uh..y-y n-o i mean..yes..well- actually i dont- i mean"
"Oh marinette!" A voice said from behind her putting their hand on her shoulder, "i was looking for you everywhere..where- oh! I see you've found my aunt Amelie", a boy with blond hair and beautiful bright green eyes said to her. The boy was about her age..and impeccably handsome.
Marinette went along with it, nodding her head, seeing that the boy was trying to help her.
"Y-yes..i was looking for you too! And your aunt.."
Amelie smiled at her, forgetting of her doubts that this girl wasnt invited.
"You must be Adriens guest friend from school, it is sooo nice to meat you dear", amelie said holding out her hand. Marinette shook it respectively.
"Adrien? I mean yes! A friend from school...I'm sorry i was late, my parents were keeping me occupied, as usual!", marinette said laughing.
Amelie laughed along.
A light musical dance had played, signaling the bride and grooms first dance. Amelie smiled cheekily as the announcer announced the next activity.
The bride walked away, before quickly turning around to give marinette her bouquet of flowers
"Hold these dear", she said.
"O-of course".
The dance had begun, signaling marinette to thank adrien.
"Thank you", marinette said turning around to meet his green eyes.
"No problem..", he said cheekily. Marinette glanced at him tilting her head.
"Adrien...from school...your Adrien?!", she said.
The blonde chuckled nodding his head.
"Yeah..i dropped my papers on you yesterday..remember?"
"Yeah..but you had..glasses and..."
"Brown eyes?"
Marinette nodded her head slowly as he smiled down at her.
They stayed quiet, both looking at the dance floor, where his aunt swayed with the groom.
"My father is Gabriel agreste...i wanted to attend public school, so i...had to wear a disguise so that nobody could look at me and say..'you look like Gabriel's boy'".
Marinette turned back at him, nodding her head, and slightly surprised.
"Oh...i had no idea'
"No one does..but thats alright".
They stayed quiet until the beginning modeler had broke the silence.
"Everyone is dancing now, uhh wanna dance?", he said holding out his hand.
Marinette took it willingly, slightly embarrassed.
"Sure", she said normally.
They stood at the dance floor, his hand on her waist and her hand on his shoulder.
"Just to be sure...you were dared to do this right? Cause i mean, you don't seem like the ideal type to do it freely", adrien said smiling.
Marinette nodded her head while being slightly embarrassed.
"My friend...well i call him as my brother, he dared me to do it...for 50 bucks from 12 of my classmates and, seeing as I didn't have a job and i needed the money...i took it", marinette said putting her head down.
Adrien slightly chuckled causing her to look at him.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world if i was you either, smart choice taking the brave side", he said.
Marinette smiled back, seeing his cheeks get a little pink.
The song had ended as adrien guiding her off the dance floor.
"Wanna get a drink?", he asked politely. Marinette smiled back.
"Sure".
The party had lasted a good 3 more hours, Adrien and her eating a mouthful of snacks while talking.
"And over there is my aunts new husband Richard..he's a really nice man, and he'd do anything for my aunt", adrien pointed, his mouth full of a chocolate filled croissant. Marinette giggled as a dot of chocolate remained on the end of his lips.
"You've got a little something...", she said pointing to his mouth.
Adrien blushed hard, grabbing a napkin to wipe it off.
"Thanks..", he said quietly, "um anyway..thats my dad...and then my cousin Felix over on the right, amelies son", adrien said pointedly. Marinette turned to look at him, 2 young girls around their age around his shoulder, sweetly.
"He looks just like you!", marinette said in shock.
"Well that because our mothers were twins, so we have very similar features", the blonde said, turning around to grab another croissant off the table.
"Were twins?", marinette said.
Adrien slowly chewed the croissant with wide yes before swallowing it hard.
"My mother passed away 2 years ago..", he said sadly. Marinette turned to him shockingly before quickly stuttering.
"I'm s-so sorry...I didn't know, i mean..i-", adrien just smiled at her over his shoulder, a warm smile that imitated grief, but settlement.
"It's okay marinette..really...my dad never came out about this publicly , so only a few news anchors know about this."
Marinette smiled, placing her hand on Adriens shoulder.
People started leaving slowly, probably meaning that marinette had to go too. Before she could say anything, her idol walked towards them.
"Adrien, what is this all about? You look a mess", Gabriel said wiping off the crumbs from his sons tuxedo, before putting his hands back to his back.
"You must be my sons guest. He told me he wasn't bringing anyone but i suppose things change", Gabriel said sighing. Marinette stared wide eyed at him before nodding her head quickly.
"Y-yes sir", she said nervously. He smiled at her before turning to adrien.
"You best get going now..you have a photoshoot at 5:00 tomorrow, I'm going to stay to help clean with the staff", Gabriel said looking at his watch. Adrien turned to marinette.
"Is it okay if i take the ride with marinette...her drive had ran off", adrien said. Marinette shot her attention to him, squinting her eyes at him.
So you did see what happened earlier.. she said to herself.
"Of course..Nathalie will take you, the limo is in the back.
"L-limo?" Marinette said.
"Yes, it was nice meeting you marinette, i hope to see you around", Gabriel said turning towards the staff. Adrien chuckled, as he saw Marinette's mouth open wide.
"Well then..shall we go M'lady?", he said in a mocking offense while bowing.
Marinette rolled her eyes as they both walked to the car.
