The Doctor, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey was looking for a young woman called Clara Oswald. They were meeting up to talk about a plan that they had for a few months. The sun was out, spreading warmth & light around the open ground of London. People enjoying the sun.

The Doctor was at a place called the Clemont Park, by the beautiful marble fountain. Few people were there, so it was a good spot to meet up without being interrupted by the noise. The splashing of the water was basically the only sound you could hear, besides the occasional bird chirping. This doctor was tall, had a long face, wearing a tweed jacket and a white, buttoned shirt, red bowtie, black jeans and leather shoes. He also looked young.

"Hi, Doctor. Nice to see you again," A female voice said. A young woman walked up to the Doctor. "Hello, Clara Oswald," He said, smiling. The young woman to whom he was talking to was very pretty. She has shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes, with a gray shirt with a white border on the bottom of the shirt, black leggings, and black shoes. The Doctor was at least a foot taller than her. There was longing in her eyes. It's been a long time since she's seen him. It was really exciting seeing him again.

"You're the same as I remember," Clara said to him, "I assume we're here for the same reason as last time." "Yes. I know you're busy right now. I..." He began. "I'm not anymore. I'm thinking of taking a break soon," I interjected. "When?" He said. "I don't know. A month?" I replied. "A month will work," He said. "You won't end up being late, will you?" She asked. "I'm never late. Don't be surprised if I'm there," The Doctor answered. "I know that. Work stuff," Clara responded.

They eventually went their own ways.

...

(June 18th, 2013)

The sun was shining below at the small town of Oakford. The people were out doing their normal human things.

The Doctor was talking to his friend Oswin about something at Flowerscent Park. "An old friend of mine. We stopped seeing each other regularly a few months ago," The Doctor said. "Because of what?" Oswin said. "We still see each other sometimes," He said, "We can use the TARDIS." "Its a ship of some kind, right? It doesn't seem like it'll work," She said. "Its a different kind of spaceship. The TARDIS is made from my race. Different mechanics. You have still have lots to learn," He explained. "The Time Lords? Different how?" She said. "Yes. You'll see soon enough."

They headed towards the TARDIS and entered inside. The Doctor closed the doors behind them. "Ever heard of materialization?" He said as he walked towards the console. "No," Oswin said. "Think of it as a teleporter. You start in one place and teleport to another in a few seconds," He explained. "Is it just me or is the TARDIS bigger on the inside?" She said. "Eh? You just realized this now? After 3 months?" He said. "I've always known that. Thought I'd say that now because you're never around," She said. He inputted coordinates and stuff. Then, grabbed the landing lever. "You might want to hold on to something," He said, flicking the lever. She held on to the console. The TARDIS shook and went into the vortex. It materialized on land moment later.

"We're here," He said. They headed out of the TARDIS. "Clemont park, June 18th. Same year," He said. There was a large grassy field with a wooden covered picnic area on a corner. "She should be here. Go to the picnic area. I'll be here waiting. Have fun," The Doctor said.

She headed towards the picnic area. There were two people sitting down at the benches. One of them was a woman who looked like a teenager. The other had their back facing to her. She could tell the other was also a woman. They were talking with each other. "...more than anything..." One said. "I'm looking for Clara," She said. One looked at her in what seemed like shock. The other turned around. "I'm with the Doctor," She added. She stood up and faced her. "I know. We've talked about this for awhile," She said. Oswin was shocked and wondered who the woman was. "Its hard to explain. I'm as shocked as you are," She said in the same voice as hers.

"Which one of you is Clara?" She asked. "Me. I'm Clara. The Doctor's former companion. She's Ashildr, my associate," The woman replied. He never said anything about that. Former companion? She wondered what happened between them. "We're friends not associates that barely talk to one another," The woman called Ashildr responded.

"He's talked about you a lot. Not by name," She said. Clara smiled. We stopped seeing each other regularly a few months ago. We still see each other sometimes.

The Doctor was watching them interact. Sounds like they were getting along. He didn't tell either of them about who they were. It was definitely going to come as a shock to hear each other talk. Which he hasn't thought about. It was definitely going to raise some concerns about who she was. He didn't want that. It was better that way. For him.

"What's your name, by the way? He's told me about you but never said your name," Clara asked. "Oswin," She replied. Clara was concerned about something. She was determined to find out who she was. Only questions would help her understand.

"From what he's told me about, you two are really good friends. How long have you've know him?" Clara asked, choosing her words carefully. "Only for a few months," She answered. "Does he ever travel to other places?" She asked. "No. He only talks about it but never does," She said. "Not even for a little bit?" Clara said. "No," She said. Clara considered that odd. He never, ever stays in one place. It's always planet to planet every day. There are rare cases where he has stayed.

"He doesn't do that, does he?" Oswin said. "No, he doesn't. He's always on the move. Saving people, worlds even," She replied. So, why was he now? Protecting something? Her? From what? She was curious to find out.

"He doesn't seem like someone to be on the run," She said. "He never does," Clara said. Clara looked like she had a realization. "Do you remember anything before you met the Doctor?" Clara asked, thinking this through. "Of course I..." She began. She doesn't. Its always been him. She was starting to question him. Nothing felt right.

"Hang on? Did you say the Doctor?" Ashildr spoke. "Yes," Clara answered. "You're..." Ashildr began. "Not that Doctor. A previous version of him," She interjected. "Previous version?" "He's a time lord. He regenerates. I know another doctor before him," Clara explained. She didn't have any idea what they were talking about.

"You two aren't from this time period, aren't you?" Oswin said. "We're from a few years in the future. Don't tell him I said that," She said. "I know the rules of time travel. Never tell anyone from the past about the future. Don't interfere with history. Never mess with the timeline," She explained. "I like you. You're smart." They talked a bit more before something happened.

The Doctor headed towards them to see what they were up to. When he got close, he saw that there was another woman with them. He didn't recognize her. He assumed she was Clara's friend. He heard them talking.

"Most of the time. He can be a bit of an idiot," Clara said. "And annoying," She added on. "Definitely." "Rude! I just don't know what I'm doing," He jumped in. Ashildr looked at him. He looked like someone who would goof off and not realize a bad situation is happening. All of them were looking at him. "New friend?" He said to Clara. She didn't say anything. "Do you really think I'm annoying?" He said directed at his companions. "Sometimes. You can bd a bit rude," Oswin said. "Its a habit I cant seem to get rid of," He replied. He saw Clara smile. "Its not funny," He added.

"What are you doing here?" Clara asked him. "Just wanted to. I hope I wasn't interrupting anything," He responded. Clara didn't look like she was fooled. He was expecting that. "You two seem to get along," He said, switching the subject. "We do." "Good," He said, "Anything interesting happened?" He hoped Clara wouldn't ask him about her. "No. Just talk. Normal conversation," Clara said. He was relieved. "What she said," Oswin said with uncertainty. He noticed that and got nervous. If she knows anything. He doesn't want to think of the outcome. "Nothing weird?" He asked, trying to clear up anything. "Just talking about what we've seen," She said.

Clara looked at her and they went to talk. He found this suspicious. They must've found out something. He couldn't bear telling her the truth. It would kill him. He forced himself to think that nothing bad was happening. Nothing at all.

They came back to them. The Doctor looked at Clara suspiciously. "What?" Clara asked. He looked away. He made a weird comment. None of them answered. It was getting tense. Ashildr tried to break up the conversation but ended up not saying anything. Ashildr gave Clara a look. Clara saw her. She turned around. She saw an old man heading towards them. She knew who he was. Her heart sank. Not here. Go away. She thought. She looked away immediately. He also noticed the old man. He didn't give him a second thought.

"I hope I'm not ruining everything," The old man said. He noticed Clara's reaction. He knew that look. Shame. Regret. They must know each other, somehow. What happened? The other girl was looking at him with a worried expression. Everyone turned to look at him except for Clara.

"Hi, Ashildr," He said. "Ashildr? That sounds like a viking or an alien name," The Doctor said to her. "I'm human from Earth," The Ashildr woman said defensively. "You! It's you. A Time lord," The old man said to him. "How do you know about the Time lords?" He asked. He's just human. How is it possible? The man pulled out something that resembled his own screwdriver. The Doctor remembered something similar with another version of him. But this couldn't be the doctor. He's the final regeneration. The 13th. "I'm the last one. It's impossible," The Doctor responded.

The old man turned to face Clara. Hi...Clara," He said. She didn't look at him. She refused to look at him. Ashildr had her eyes widened for a second. He's not supposed to remember her. How does he? The Doctor found this rather strange.

"Who are you exactly?" Oswin said to the old man. He turned to look at her. The same expression that the Doctor knew would happen and feared. "Surely you know that," He said. "I don't." "I'm the doctor. He thinks its impossible. But the impossible can exist. What's your name, by the way?" The old man said to her. The 11th doctor suddenly was nervous. He still had to be careful around this strange figure. They might know about her. "She's with me," He said. "What year is this?" The other "doctor" replied. "2013," The Doctor answered. The 12th Doctor knew what year this was. The year when Clara's adventure with him began. His previous versions response to his question was odd to him. This woman couldn't be a companion. Maybe a friend.

"What was the last adventure you two had together?" The 12th Doctor said, directing this at Clara and the other doctor. "Ah. We saved Gallifrey. Made a treaty with unwanted visitors,"He answered. "Gallifrey? Your home planet? You said it was destroyed," Oswin said. "It was destroyed but I saved it with help from my previous incarnations. Clara helped me through it of course," 11th replied. 12th and Clara's response was that the "unwanted visitors" were on earth but then they remembered that was from the most recent invasion.

"That's nice," She said, "I'm Oswin." "Why does that sound familiar?" 12th said to himself. Oh no. That's bad. He doesn't want to explain in front of her. "How do you know Clara?" 11th said, switching the subject. "We've...met. We're friends," 12th answered. Why was this man hesitant? Was it for the same reason Clara didn't like him? "...and remember me. Asylum, prison," She said. "What did you say?" 12th asked, remembering something. "Run you clever boy and remember me. Dalek Asylum which is a prison for the insane Daleks," She repeated. The 12th Doctor remembered her. Run, you clever boy. And remember.
