chapter 2
Things were going pretty well at Star command today there were some new cadets coming today and training there for the first time. Mira was walking down the hall with Buzz and Warpnia and she bumped into someone she was about to snap at who she bumped into saw it was someone she hadn't seen a in long time. "Fop Doppler," Mira said and the two of them hugged.
"Who is your friend Mira?" Buzz asked.
"This is Fop Doppler he's my best friend, we did everything together growing up," Mira answered.
"Yes as you can see I am space ranger now and no longer a scrawny fella," Fop said.
"I can see that," Mira said. "How are things back on Tangea," she said.
"Your older brother is doing well in his training become king and your younger sister running around like any other active 9 year old is causing your father a few headaches, my family has been doing okay too my younger brother is always getting into trouble with his friends, and my mom and dad are trying their best to be patient," Fop said.
"It's so great to see you," Mira said.
"It's great to see you too," Fop said. "I really enjoyed the training at the academy I was top of my class especially with the medical training," he said.
"That's great," Mira said. "I am so looking forward to working with you here," she said.
"I am looking forward to it too," Fop said. "The best friends are back together again," he said.
"Yes they are," Mira said. "I hope soon we can hang out sometime soon we haven't done that is a long time," she said.
"Yes I would love to hang out with you and your team I love making new friends," Fop said.
"Great I was hoping we can hang out alone sometime too," Mira said.
Fop looked at the time. "Yikes I'm going to be late have to get to training center see you later Mira," Fop said running off.
Mira sighed and looked in the direction Fop took off in.
"He's kind of clueless isn't he?" Warpnia asked Buzz.
"I think so," Buzz said.
"Fop is very smart actually," Mira told them.
"Not what I meant, he seems clueless that you have feelings for him," Warpnia said.
"I guess you are right," Mira said.
Meanwhile Fop was finished with training and now in the mess hall having lunch.
"Hi I'm Emily Wild you must be Fop Doppler Mira's best friend," Emily said sitting down at the table along with Booster and Ty.
"Yes I am," Fop said. "How did you know my name?" He asked.
"Mira talks about you a lot," Booster said. "I am Booster Munchapper," he said.
"My name is Ty Parsec." Ty said.
"So you guys are friends of Mira's it's nice to meet you," Fop said.
"So Fop I bet you are looking forward to spending some time alone with Mira after all you two haven't seen each other in a long time," Emily stated.
"I guess it's just," Fop said.
"Just what?" Ty asked.
"I really like Mira a lot I have feelings for her and when I am alone with her my palms get all sweaty, I get a lump in my throat and I find it hard to talk to her and I get all nervous and don't know what to say," Fop said.
"You must really like her a lot," Booster said.
"Yes but when she asked if we got to spend time together just the two people of us I got all jittery inside and I thought I was going to wet myself so I ran off I think I made her feel bad," Fop said.
"Go talk to her," Emily said. "Tell her how you feel," she said.
"I do want it's just hard for me to talk to girls usually and I find it hard to talk to Mira now," Fop said.
"Just take a deep breath and remember everyone get nervous about this," Ty said.
"Just go for it," Booster said.
"Okay," Fop said. He got up and went to find Mira. He found her and came up to her. "Hi Mira," he said.
"Hi Fop," Mira said.
"I would be nice to h-h-hang out with you again just the t-two of us so do you want to?" He said he looked really nervous.
"Sure although are you okay? You seem a little funny for some reason are you coming down with something?" Mira asked.
Fop then took a couple of deep breaths then summoned his courage. "I was just nervous and well I..." Fop said.
"Mira Fop has been added to our team and we are heading out on mission let's go," Buzz said.
"Where are we going?" Booster asked.
"Booster we are heading towards a planet known for food caves we need to help because a child is trapped in one of the caves," Buzz answered.
They landed on the planet. "The child is in this cave and let's go in," Warpnia said.
They walked through the cave. "Uh oh shellfish if I touch I could go into anaphylactic shock." Fop said.
"Then you must be really careful then Fop," Emily said.
Mira and Fop heard the child. "Guys Mira and I found the child we will get him." Fop said. He got out a rope and lowered Mira down the he slipped and cut by the shellfish shell and juice from it got on him. "Ah," he said wiping himself.
"You got cut didn't you?" Mira asked.
"Just a scratch Mira," Fop said as his face started to swell and get a rash.
"Fop I'm coming up with the child hang on just try to sit tight and stay away from the shellfish until we get out," Mira said.
"Mira I have something I want to say I like you, you know like you like you that's why I ran off when I first saw you again and why I looked so nervous earlier I have a crush on you in other words I'm in love with you," Fop said.
"I feel the same way about you," Mira said making back up and rushing out with Fop and pulled out his epipen and gave him his shot.
The swelling went down and Fop started to breathe easier. "Thanks Mira," Fop said. He was check out by a doctor after that and he was fine.
"So Fop you're okay?" Mira asked.
"Yes it was minor flare up so I am fine," Fop said.
"That's great," Mira said.
"So Mira would you like to go on a date with me?" Fop asked.
"Sure how does a movie sound?" Mira asked.
"Sounds great Friday at 7:00?" Fop asked.
"Sounds perfect," Mira said.
