Chapter 2

Over the next couple of months Orianna and Sasuke met up with each other to train regularly. While getting to know each other, they both started to realize that they had a lot more in common with each other than they previously thought. Yeah, sure, they both were Uchihas, but they also came to learn that they both understood loneliness all too well.

One day while training, Orianna noticed something to be off with Sasuke. I mean, he's always a little off, but something seems different with him today. He seems almost more closed off than usual. She noticed the bags and tiredness that his eyes bore and the way he kept seeming to avoid eye contact with her. "Sasuke, let's go sit and take a break, yeah?", she quietly asked him.

He stops the spar and turns to walk towards a natural formed rock bench for them to sit on. Orianna goes to sit next to him leaving only a few inches from each other. She can feel his heat radiating off him and onto her side due to the closeness. Over the last couple of months she's been slowly breaking down Sasuke's exterior that he uses to keep others away. At first, he absolutely hated having others physically near him. He still does but with Orianna, he actually seemed to enjoy it. To him, Orianna seemed to orchestrate the perfect balancing act of pushing his boundaries when he need it most and backing off when he needed space. He never had any girls do this with him before. All the other girls from the village and the academy were always all up in his personal space. It was always "Sasuke-kun this and Sasuke-kun that." with the accompanied touches here and there. He really fucking hated it. He had zero time for women and desperatly wished they would just leave him the fuck alone. Although with Orianna, she had the opposite effect. Sasuke loved being around her. Yeah, she was beautiful, but she was a lot more than that. She could make him laugh like nobody else could. Annoy him to no ends, but leave him coming back for more. I hate liking her. He thought solemnly to himself. She was a beautiful pain in the ass he couldn't shake. He knew he needed to shake her. Sasuke was to leave soon. He hadn't told Orianna this yet. The last thing he wanted to do was leave her alone in this village they both came to hate. I have plans. I can't stray from my goals to avenge my clan. Not only that, but I just cannot. He thought this quietly to himself while drinking his water.

"What's up with you today? You seem more, I don't know, more reserved than usual.", Orianna inquired to him.

"It's nothing."

"Sasuke, it's obviously not nothing. You look tired. I can tell you have not been sleeping. You also have this weird look on your face like there is a stick up your ass when you are thinking too hard about something. So just spill. We both know I'm not going to drop this.", she demanded.

"Hmph. Fine.", he looks straight ahead. " There's something I need to go do. I want to do it. I need to do it. I PLAN on doing it. It's just, the thought of actually going to do it seems more daunting than before.", he quietly replied.

"Avenging your clan?"

"Our clan, Orianna, but yes.", Sasuke corrected her. Orianna had originally thought he wouldn't see her as an Uchiha because honestly, nobody else did. Naturally, she would separate herself from this idea but every time without fail Sasuke would include her. You are no more or less an Uchiha than I am. We both lost our clan and family that night Orianna, don't for one second think differently. He would always remind her.

"Okay, so what is the problem then? You are stronger than any other shinobi I know, Sasuke. I have no doubt that you will be able to..."

Sasuke quickly went to cut her off, "I need to leave. I'm going to set off soon."

"Oh...oh.", she contemplated what Sasuke was saying to her. He was going to leave and soon. She knew this day was coming. Orianna never wanted him to not set off and do what he felt like he needed to do. Sasuke was her friend, strike that, best friend now. Regardless, if he liked this fact or not. While she wanted him to go fulfill his dreams, she also had a dream. Which was to never leave him. Orianna starts to twiddle her fingers absent-mindedly while contemplating what to say to Sasuke next. She didn't want to try to convince him not to go. Yet, she also did not want him to leave her.

Sasuke turns and looks over Orianna's face. She looked to be deep in thought, figuring out what to say next. "I need to go Orianna.", he looks forward again. "I need to go, but...I...don't want to leave you."

Orianna turns to look at him. Really look at him. Did he just say what I think he said? She questioned. "Take me with you, Sasuke.", she responds.

"What? Orianna you know I can't do..."

"Take me with you, Sasuke.", she demands more authoritatively.

"No. It would be too dangerous."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No, Orianna!", he yells at her.

Pondering for a moment, Orianna turns and bridges the small gap between them. She grabs his hand in hers and looks up at him. "Sasuke, I refuse to spend one more day in this god awful, racist, village without you. I will not let you leave me here. So here are your two options. You can either let me leave with you or you leave without me and I just follow you. Both options involve me coming with you and honestly, I'd rather enjoy the company than to be stalking you alone in silence from behind... Has anyone ever told you that you can be quite the conversationalist?"

Ignoring her last question, "Orianna, I can't have anything happen to you. You're the only one I have left."

Orianna, reaches out to grab his chin and pulls his face towards hers. Closing her eyes, she leans in with a small and chaste kiss. His lips were slightly rough but had tasted oh, so masculine. Yeah, I am definitely trying that again sometime soon. After slowly retreating her face, she looks him in his onyx eyes and whispers, "I'm going to go home and start packing."

She gets up and saunters away towards her home. Sasuke, shocked and dumbfounded just remains sitting there on the rock. He starts to look up towards the sky as a smirk is quickly forming on his face.

"Orianna. Tsk. So annoying.", he then proceeds to get up and starts walking towards home to pack.
