Chapter two: Yugoa Uzuki

Today was Naruto's thirteen birthday. Today was October 10th. Oh, how much Naruto hated that day. How much he hated the date. The day the nine tails took his parents from him. The date on which Madara and many of his loved ones died. Eight years ago, he met Madara. Three years ago, he died.

Ever since Madara's death Naruto has been working has a hunter nin. He exterminated every D and C rank criminal from Konohagakure no Sato's bingo book. The Sharingan wielding Uzumaki even took 'care' of many B and A rank missing nin. But he only took 'care' of Konohagakure no Sato's missing nins and people who commited a crime against Konoha. Safe to say he was a very efficient hunter nin. One of the best no scratch that the best hunter nin Konoha had to offer. No one, not even the Sandaime Hokage, knew that he had him employed as one of his hunter nins.

But his life as a hunter nin would come to an end in the near future. "Soon I'll graduate from the academy and will officially serve Konoha as a ninja." Some people in Naruto's shoes might have decided to make a run for it. They would have run from the village who was populated by people who hated him, people who would like nothing more than simply see him die in the most agonizing way possible.

But Naruto was not that kind of person. Well actually he was. The reason why he stayed in Konoha was because something was keeping him here. After all he promised someone very important that he will protect Konoha and someone else. This person was probably the second person who ever loved Naruto unconditionally. A person who loved him like someone would love their son.

He loved this person with all his heart and would never go against his dying wish- no matter what.

"Maybe I should just reveal everything to Hiruzen." Thought Naruto. Coming clean about the past was probably the best option he had. And it would not make things complicated later on in his life. "But before I do that I have got to train. Do not want to slack of after all. After that I will hand over the head of my last target to the Hokage."

And with that thought he placed his mask on his face. The mask had been lying behind him. It was completely white. After that he put on his cloak and put his sword in his sheath. Both the cloak and the sword had been lying next to his mask. After suiting up he vanished in a bunch of flames.

Training ground 10

Training ground 10 was a normal training ground if you disregard the fact that it was only used by the icy queens of Konoha. The icy queens are a group that is composed of four beautiful but also deadliest kunoichi's in all of Fire Country. The first member of the group was Yuhi Kurenai, the Genjutsu Mistress of Konoha. The second person of the group was Mitarashi Anko also known nicknames being psychopath, crazy snake lady, snake whore and traitorous snake. The last two nicknames were given to her because she was once a student of the now S- Rank nuke nin Orochimaru. The third person in the group was Inuzuka Hana. Daughter of Tsume Inuzuka, current clan head of the Inuzuka clan and sister of Kiba Inuzuka, current heir of the Inuzuka clan. The last member of the group was a kunoichi by the name of Uzuki Yugoa.

Suddenly flames started forming in the middle of the training ground. A minute later Naruto could be seen in the clearing. Unsheathing his sword from its sheath the nine tails Jinchuriki went through different sword katas. After a while Naruto summoned 100 shadow clones and made them attack the original. After a few more minutes even the last clone was dispelled due to the black haired (Yes in this fanfiction Naruto got Madara's hair style and color not Minato's) boys' swordsmanship capabilities.

All of a sudden clapping could be heard in the clearing. Naruto put his sword back in his sheath and looked around to see where the clapping came from. Than he saw the four icy queens of Konoha sitting on a nearby tree. Hana was the first to speak up. "You really have some nerve, don't you?" questioned Hana. "Do you not know what happened to the last person who used our training ground?" She said while emphasizing the words our training ground.

"No, but I am sure you will enlighten me in a second." Replied Naruto grinning under his mask. The group of females all smirked. Anko's smirk though was different from the other woman's smirk though.

Her smirk spoke that she was a person with psychopathic tendencies. Such a smirk could only be shown by her or Orochimaru. A smirk that was filled with so much malice. A smirk that was frightening. "Last time someone used our training ground" Kurenai said again emphasizing the words our training ground. "said person had to face my friend Yugoa here in a sword fight. And you know what they say there is no one as vicious and good with a sword in Konoha."

Now most people would cower away in fear of having to face someone like Yugoa in a sword fight. Yugoa nearly beheaded the last person who pissed her off. Poor civilian tried to hit on her and only by a centimeter was able to avoid her slash. The guy never saw it coming. From that day forward no one ever pissed Yugoa off. Her skill with the sword could only be rivaled by her brother. Needless to say no one in all of Konoha would want to be on the receiving side of Yugoa's sword attacks. But Naruto was not most people. Instead of taking a step back in fear, apologizing and leaving 'their' training ground as quickly as possible he smirked. His eyes were filled with amusement and excitement.

This seemed to catch the four women of guard. Shocking them further he said "I would like to have a swordfight with you Yugoa-san. After all practicing alone and going through katas can quickly get boring. So why do you not get down from that tree you are sitting on so we can have that sword fight I am so eager to have." Offered Naruto.

At this point the women's jaw hit the ground. How could he be eager to fight someone like Yugoa in a sword fight? Was he that suicidal? Were the thoughts going through the women's heads. Naruto meanwhile was laughing his ass off in his mind at their shocked faces. "Yugoa-chan was always arrogant" thought the masked hunter nin.

"As you wish" Yugoa said, jumping down the tree and landing a few feet from Naruto away. "Now than let us begin" spoke the masked Jinchuriki, removing his sword from its sheath. Yugoa did not speak and pulled her own katana out of her sheath. Both than took a stance very similar to each other.

"I am going to enjoy seeing that brat getting his ass handed to by Yugoa. It is really a shame I do not have popcorn with me." Commented Anko from the sidelines. Kurenai did not respond to what Anko had just said. She did not really know what to think of this. Sure, she believed that her friend was going to win the match, no doubt about it. She was one of the best kenjutsu fighters in all of Konoha after all.

On the other side there was a voice inside her head screaming out to her to be wary of the raven-haired teenage boy. Then there is the fact that he seemed amused and by the fact to fight Yugoa. Yugoa was known as Neko (Cat). Neko was one of the best Anbu operatives Konoha had to offer. This was publicly known. Although all Anbu missions and Anbu operatives' identities are classified they become public knowledge sooner or later. This happened with Shisui Uchiha, Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Itachi and Uzuki Yugoa. At same point in time their mask breaks during an Anbu mission and their enemies leak the Anbu operative's identity to the world.

Only Hatake Kakashi, Might Gai, Jiraiya of the Sannin, a few Anbu and of course Lord Third could hope to defeat this Uzuki.

"Either he is incredibly stupid, has a death wish or he is one of a kind." Decided Kurenai in thought.

Yugoa vs Naruto

Both Yugoa and Naruto looked at each other stance trying to find an opening, flaw, or weakness in it. Unfortunately for both of them neither of them found one. Unexpectedly they both rushed forward at high chunin speed.

Sidelines – With Anko and Kurenai

"That kid's good" commented Anko surprised by the kid's speed. "I did not think he could go so fast. That is high chunin level speed. I thought he would rush at Yugoa with genin speed and no finesse whatsoever. But his stance and speed say otherwise."

"Yeah, I know what you mean, Anko. I expected the same, but I still believe that Yugoa will wipe the floor with him." Said Kurenai with a barely seen smirk.

Yugoa vs Naruto

Yugoa and Naruto made contact with each other's sword for the first time in the match. They engaged in a heated sword battle neither gaining the upper hand. Though neither gained the upper hand Naruto could see that Yugoa was holding back in her kenjutsu style. She was definitely better than him with the sword.

Naruto put a little bit more force in his blade pushing Yugoa's away. But Yugoa did not back down. She kept pushing back. But in the end, she had to give up and accept Naruto's superior strength.

"How can he have so much strength at such a young age?" thought Yugoa. He hit like Gai's little protégé. Yugoa shivered at that thought. A month ago, she sparred with Lee. After the strictly taijutsu fight (more like a beatdown from Lee) she could not sit properly for a week.

"She has gotten better from the last time I sparred with her. She has gotten much better as a swordswoman. I may be superior in her in brute strength, but she is definitely a much better kenjutsu fighter than I am." Analyzed Naruto. "I will have to use speed and strength to win this fight. Maybe I should use that body flicker fighting style I have been trying to perfect for the last year or so. But I am not much good in it. Nah I will use it in this fight. Better in a spar with Yugoa-chan than with a fight with an enemy who is out to kill me." Thought Naruto. Naruto rushed at Yugoa with elite Jonin speed. Bringing his sword upwards trying to make it look like he wanted to cut Yugoa with a sword slash from the side. Yugoa blocked the strike with her own sword with the same speed Naruto attacked. Naruto smirked before he vanished via body flicker (Shunshin no Jutsu).

Appearing behind Yugoa he tried to knock her out with a quick strike to the neck. But before the hit hit Yugoa spun around barely avoiding the strike. She then went on the counter offensive. She quickly proceeded to swipe at one of his feet. As a result, Naruto fell to the ground but before Yugoa could attack he escaped via body flicker.

Trying the same thing again, he appeared behind Yugoa again he attacked her with a sword slash that would have been lethal should it have hit. Instead, she jumped forward, avoiding the attack. Turning around she attacked him dead on in a sword fight. Naruto parried the sword attacks which given Yugoa's skill level with the sword was no easy task. Eventually Naruto jumped back. Yugoa took her stance again. Naruto did likewise after he jumped back.

Silence. That was the word that would describe the battle now the best. Both adversaries gazing in each other eyes. The miles of both Yugoa and Naruto analyzing their opponents fighting style as well as coming up with different attack strategies.

"I am faster than her, but I have yet to manage a hit on her and after each failed attack with the body flicker she almost lands a hit on me. Damn it." Were Naruto's thoughts. "I need a distraction that will root her in place."

"He is faster than me, yet he hasn't landed a single hit on me though he was close every time. Damn it. I will need a distraction that will root him in place." Yugoa thought.

On the sidelines -With Anko and Kurenai

"Damn look at them go. Those two are good." Said a by the fight mesmerized Anko. Kurenai for her part could not believe what she was seeing with her own eyes. In front of her was a thirteen-year-old boy who could go toe to toe with one of the best Anbu operatives in all of Konoha. A boy who could move at Elite Jonin speed.

"Never believed that someone so young could be on Yugoa's level with the sword." Commented Kurenai. "But Yugoa still has an ace up her sleeve." Anko said with a sadistic grin on her face. Kurenai just smiled seeing the confidence Anko had in her friend.

Yugoa vs Naruto

"Maybe psychologic warfare will work against Yugoa." Naruto entertained the thought for a while before he concluded that it was at least worth to see Yugoa's shocked face.

Breaking the silence, he said " Who taught you? Shusui Uchiha? Kushina Uzumaki?". "Shisui taught me, and I took a few pages out of Kushina-sama's book. But how could you guess that. "she questioned narrowing her eyes.

"Well, Shisui was my sensei." He answered earning gasps from Yugoa, Kurenai and even Anko. "And like you I took a few pages out of Kushina-sama's book." He continued.

He did not want to reveal that Kushina was his mother. That would cause him problems. That was something he did not want. All the Anbu knew that Kushina Uzumaki was his mother and Namikaze Minato his father. He would reveal himself to the Hokage on his terms.

But not even the Hokage knew that he knew who his parents were. He knew that he was at least partly an Uchiha due to possessing the Sharingan. However not even the Sandaime knew how that was the case. The old man did not know that he was the grandson of Uchiha Madara. He believed that neither Kushina nor Minato were an Uchiha. How Naruto was an Uchiha he did not know.

On the sidelines

"Shisui was h-his S-sensei?" stuttered a stupefied Kurenai. "Who is this and what is so special about him?" asked Anko. Kurenai just gave Anko an incredulous look. "Are you telling me that you do not know who Shisui Uchiha was?". Anko just gave a small nod. "Shisui Uchiha from the main branch of the Uchiha Clan was one of the strongest Uchiha to ever live. He was said to be stronger than Itachi Uchiha who he taught by the way. He is a legend in the Anbu for his service as team captain of team Ro. Team Ro is the most dangerous and effective Anbu team Konoha has to offer. Its members are legends. Uchiha Itachi. Hatake Kakashi. Shisui Uchiha and so many more of the best of Konoha's ninja were members of team Ro. Shisui was also the sensei of Yugoa."

"What how come that Yugoa never talks about them?" shouted Anko. Kurenai just sighed. "She did not even tell me herself. I found her genin team picture. Trust me I have never seen Yugoa so broken. I asked her why she never told us about her genin team. She said and I quote :' When you had Itachi Uchiha as your teammate you are not necessarily proud of your team. When a team member killed your sensei, you do not want to talk about it. And do not even get me started on the third member of the team.'" Anko remained quiet digesting everything she just learned about her purple haired friend.

Yugoa vs Naruto

"You, Yo-You are Sh-Shisui's student? Asked a stupefied Yugoa. "Yes, Yes I am." Answered Naruto. "But now let us end this sword fight. "announced Naruto. "Yes, it is time to" said Yugoa getting over her shock. Both fighters rushed forward with high level jonin speed both subconsciously deciding to end this match in one quick strike. Swords with both hands held on the right side of the body.

"Konoha Style: Dance of the crescent moon." One moment she was a few feet away from him before she was suddenly in the air. Appearing on Naruto's left side suddenly still in the air she swung his sword at him. Naruto escaped the attack before he was fatally wounded. But he could not avoid the attack fully, so he received a small cut on his shoulder.

Abruptly Yugoa could feel metal being only centimeters away from hitting her. Behind her stood the masked nin the katana in both hands only an inch away from her back. "Using the body flicker to get behind me while I was focusing only on an attack. Clever." complimented Yugoa the hunter ninja in her mind. "Almost would have fooled me. Almost." Yugoa just felt a bit disappointed that she had not won the match.

"I never expected you to be so good if I am honest with myself. But I know that you held back and so did I. Nonetheless you are a prolific swordswoman. I have no shame in admitting that you are better with a sword than I am. But I still won." He finished with a smirk.

"Did you now" the sarcasm in Yugoa's voice was lost to no one. "As far as I am concerned this is a tie." "What do you mean?" he asked slightly confused.

"My sword is in a reverse grip and only inches away from your gut but nice speech you delivered earlier." Blushing a little bit in embarrassment not that she could see it thanks to his mask he replied " Oh I guess you are right. This match is a tie." Looking down he could indeed see Yugoa's sword in a reverse grip and only inches away from his gut.

Naruto put his sword away back in his sheath with Yugoa doing likewise. "But thanks for the compliment it means a lot coming from someone as skilled with the sword as you are." Yugoa said looking at the raven-haired teenage boy. "But how does it come I never heard of you. Sure, sensei mentioned that he had another student besides Itachi, me and him" her mood darkened at the mention of 'him' " or as he would say 'dragon'. However how is it I never heard of you. You are obviously skilled in the art of the sword and who knows in what other areas as well. And you are not in the Anbu so why are you wearing a mask." She asked growing suspicious.

"Well, I am a hunter nin." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Anyway, would you have a problem coming here regularly as I am kind of in the need of a sparring partner."

"Does this mean I can use 'your' training ground?" he asked in a sly and mischievous tone. "Yes" she replied instantly but regretted her answer. "Ho, ho, ho who would have thought that one of the icy queens herself would grant me permission to use her training ground." He smugly said.

"Oh, come on we are not that possessive of this training ground, are we now?". Almost half a minute passed before he answered , "no comment." "Jerk" she muttered under her breath but loud enough for both of them to hear causing her and him to laugh lightly. "But I'll take you up on your offer as your sparring partner. So, let us say we meet every day at 9 am here and spar a bit. Is that okay for you?" he asked her.

"Sure" she said stoically " but do not whine if the great Yugoa Uzuki will kick your ass on a daily basis." She ended cheerfully.

"You are delusional." He replied with a small laugh at her change of attitude. "We'll see. We'll see." She said with a huff. "Well, it was nice meeting the great Uzuki Yugoa" he said sincerely not meaning it mockingly. Yugoa blushed in return. "I'll go, I have to meet the Hokage now and since he pays me, I better not upset him by being late. Goodbye." Before he could make the ram seal and body flicker away Yugoa called out "Wait, what's your name ? Plus, I will accompany you to the Hokage, I have to meet him as well." She stated. "Sorry Yugoa-san but I can't tell you my real name yet, but I'll tell you in two weeks. And as for the Hokage sure accompany me." He casually declared. Both doing the ram seal they body flickered away to the Hokage's office.

Chapter two done. In the last chapter I said that I will add Flashbacks from Naruto's time with Madara however I will also add Flashbacks regarding everything surrounding the fall of Uzu no Kuni and the battle between Uzu no Kuni Iwa, Kumo and Kiri.
