Author's Note: Hellooooo! How are you all doing? I'm doing great! I hope you guys enjoyed the Prologue to this story, as well as the chapter that you are about to read. I know some of you may be disappointed with the differences between the One-Shot and the Full-Story, and I'm sorry but I had a different idea in mind compared to what I posted in that introduction to the idea.
Anyway, I hope you're enjoying this story so far, cuz, as promised, the Dragons are set to arrive. Though I also want to know what you guys think about the little bit I did with the Night King, one of my finest bits of imagination if I do say so myself! Though I need to figure out a true name for the Great Other, but that will be for another time. Also please leave me plenty of reviews on each chapter, because I like to hear what your thoughts are, your favorite parts in the specific chapters, and any ideas you would like to suggest for this story, and if I like an idea enough, I'll be sure to mention you in my future Author's Notes in later chapters! Trust me every review helps and every idea does too, because even I run out of them eventually and hit writer's block.
I will also be having more divine shenanigans happening off and on throughout future chapters, as I kind of like the idea of the Gods actually messing around with the world a bit without breaking any divine rules. However, I will be ensuring that the Gods will only be interfering when some divine shenaniganry will be necessary for the world's sake or to either extend or thicken the plot when needed. As for the Dragons and their Riders, I do intend to give each of them Darksiders inspired names, though unlike Darksiders, they will be reflective of the biblical riders rather than the Darksider's Riders.
Aside from this, I am going to have it that each dragon has it's own unique power, indicative of their rider and what they represent as a whole, which I kind of hinted at with Dany and her dragon in the One-Shot. Anyway, I will reveal the powers later on, and I will also be sure to give you guys your first combat scene soon, but more than that, this story will be kind of time-skippy to get to the major events for each rider within a set timeframe. However I promise to make this story work as best as I can, even if I miss a few details, big or small, here and there, which I will go back and elaborate on later (if I remember to do so).
So anyway you guys, I think that is enough out of me, be sure to follow, favorite and review, and be sure to share this with anyone and everyone you know who likes Game of Thrones content! Also, a quick drop here to my soundboard and my main inspiration: Longclaw 1-6! He is a really great fanfiction author and one of the first friends I made here on , and I highly recommend you guys go read his stories after you read mine! My Personal Favorite is "An Empire of Ice and Fire", one of his completed projects that got me hooked into his work years ago! He is also working on three projects right now: Heart of the Blessed, My Father's Son (my favorite out of the three), and a new and ambitious project called Dragonshield, which takes place during the Reign of Aegon the First, but not long before the death of Rhaenys, though I won't spoil much more than that. It is a truly ambitious project that I think you guys will come to love, especially since he plans to make some changes to Maegor the Cruel, and if you guys like it enough, I think he might even create a whole series of stories based in this universe! Remember to leave reviews on each chapter and tell me which parts of the chapters you like, if you have any questions leave them in reviews or send me a PM, which i will answer as soon as I get a chance to, and if you have any ideas to suggest for the possible future of this story, please be sure to leave them. Who knows? If i like them enough, I might implement them and mention your username in the Author's notes for your ideas to give credit where credit is due! Catch ya on the Flipside! DRACARYS!

Chapter 1: Awaken
Winterfell, the North, 298 AC
Will is brought before the Executioner's Block some distance away from Winterfell, where Lord Eddard Stark looks at the man, who confesses what he sees. However, Lord Eddard, wanting to confirm this, waves for his son, Jon Snow, to step forward. "Will… This is my son, Jon Snow… He is one of the Last Skinchangers in the North… If you will allow him, he will peer into your mind and see your memories to confirm or deny your claims."
"I understand your hesitancy, milord, but I have nothing to hide…" Will says, "I welcome you, Jon Snow…" Will steadies his breathing and opens his mind to the Skinchanger. Through Jon's years of visiting the Verdant Paradise in his dreams, he has met his Northern Ancestors, including one Arya Blodskalm from Skagos, who was also a Skinchanger. She had guided him in the practicing and utilization of his powers, both subtle and outright, to the point that Jon can now see through lies by peering into the memories of others without taking direct control of their actions. However, the process can only be done without pain if the one whom the user is peering into the mind of allows it, thus granting the Skinchanger access into their memories.
Jon nods and breathes in and out as his silver eyes turn white, Lord Eddard steadying his son as Jon dives into the man's mind, and, within a few moments, returns gasping and sweating. "Jon, what did you see…?" Lord Eddard asks.
"He speaks the truth, father…!" Jon says, shaking with fear. "It was one, but there no doubt about it… The White Walkers are returning…"
"Then I shall send this report to your superiors at the Wall, and I shall inform your family of your courage to get this message to the Warden of the North, and that you died with honor." Lord Eddard tells Will, who nods with a smile, and accepts his fate. Ned takes the man's head, and they begin to ride back to Winterfell, which Bran looks at Jon.
"Jon, is it true that the White Walkers are returning."
"I'm afraid so, Bran, but right now it seems the one he saw was only a scout… And if the tales about the Wall's magic are true, then we're safe for now, but I fear the Free Folk beyond the Wall are in danger…" Jon says.
"Free Folk?" Theon asks, "You would call the Wildlings by what they want to be called, Snow?"
"It is wise to respect other cultures… Besides we descend from the Skagosi, a people who are of both Northerner and Free Folk descent!" Robb Stark says, "And I take my Skagosi Blood with Pride!"
"Feh…" Theon says, in which the group rides on for a few miles, but soon happen upon the corpse of a Stag, in which the group inspects it, only to find the corpse of a dead direwolf mother. At First, Lord Eddard seeks to kill the pups, but with some convincing from Jon, they save the pups, in which Jon suggest giving each one to one of Lord Eddard's children. However, before they leave, Jon finds an Albino Direwolf pup, to which Jon feels something moving in his bag. "Ah runt of the litter, that one's yours, Snow!"
"Jon…?" Lord Eddard asks, in which Jon gently sets the put down, and then reaches into his bag, revealing the Dragon Egg in his possession, it is moving, and as he reveals it, the pup begins to act more lively, bouncing around excitedly and begs.
"What does that pup want to do with that stone?" Theon asks, to which Jon's eyes turn white and everyone sees as Jon puts the stone down, the pup nuzzles the stone, and Jon says outloud.
"What was sundered and undone, shall be whole… The Two Make One…" Jon says, to which the man returns from his trance and smiles. "You wish to help hatch the egg?" The Wolf yips and barks happily, to which Jon looks to Lord Eddard, who realizes what is going to happen and nods.
"Let us go!" Lord Eddard says as they all return to Winterfell, and Jon personally introduces the pups to each of their new owners. Jon, meanwhile, smiles as he returns to his room and gently places the pup on his bed, and the egg next to him, and the little albino direwolf happily cuddles up with the egg, going to sleep.
"Soon you will be whole once more… Though what should I name you?" Jon asks, then begins to look through a dictionary of words in High Valyrian… 'Each of us were given titles after Aspects of the Future that the next 7-8 Years that Westeros and Essos will suffer from… Daenys named me Conquest, as Aegon abstained the throne so that I could take it back with him at my side…' Jon thinks, looking at the dictionary, but then finds a word that strikes him, Erinnon, the Valyrian Word for "Victory". 'Victory huh?' Jon thinks and then decides to test out the word. "Erinnon?" The Wolf head then perks up immediately, wagging his tail. "Oh you like that name?" The Pup starts panting and bouncing happily. "Alright, though in order to hide you better when we're not in favorable company, I think the name Ghost would suit you!" The Wolf yips, almost as if understanding, "Alright Erinnon, get some rest, we've got a big night tonight!"
Highgarden, the Reach
Aegon smiles as he disarms Loras once more, the young man smiling as the Knight of the Flowers yields, and the two boys laugh it up and begin to talk about improvements before a servant runs in. "Milords!" The servant says.
"What is it?" Ser Loras asks.
"It's Lord Willas!" The Servant says, "He's dead…!" This shocks the two boys, in which Loras can't even bring the words out, but Aegon grabs the servant, glaring angrily.
"HOW!?"
"His cane snapped as he was walking down the stairs and he…" Aegon doesn't let the man finish as he rushes off, tears in his eyes as he sees his adopted father Mace, and his adopted mother, Alerie kneeling next to their eldest son, crying. Aegon is shaking as he can't believe what he is seeing, but before the tears can blind him, he notices Willas's cane, and brings the two pieces together, and notices something.
"Murder…" Aegon says, his voice dripping with venom.
"What…?" Alerie asks, "Aegon…?" He then shows them that there is a notch cut into Willas's cane, one significant enough that the cane would snap with barely any force, but low enough on the cane that Willas wouldn't notice it. "No…"
"Willas was murdered!" Aegon says, his voice filled with fury, to which Aegon moves to his adopted older brother, holding him in his arms and pressing his forehead against the corpse, his rage building rapidly as hot tears stream down his face. Aegon throws his head back with his mouth wide open, and for all who are able to hear it, Aegon's roar of fury echoes for what could be considered the entirety of Highgarden. For those near him, there are those who see not a Rose of Highgarden whose grief is silent and tragic, but a Dragon whose roar is filled with sorrow, hate, and rage. The Memories of his bonds with Willas flowing in his mind, Aegon's roar soon quiets down as he looks towards the crowd and somebody quickly steps back and begins to run. "STOP!" Aegon charges after him, fury moving his feet as each steps carries him forward, chasing after the man who is fleeing.
Unfortunately, the stranger doesn't know Highgarden and Aegon eventually uses the layout of the castle to land a lariat on the man's chest, the momentum of the man's speed causing him to collapses the nobility rushes to where Aegon has the man pinned down with a sword at his throat. "WHY!? WHY DID YOU KILL HIM!? WHY!?"
"A Man only does as he is hired to do… And now a man's job is complete…" The assassin says, in which Aegon rips off the man's hood to find the face of the servant who had just told him about Willas's death. "A Man was told to give you a message, "When the Lions and Wolves battle, and the Stags gore out their own eyes, and the Dragons finally fall from the sky, the Mockingbird will soar high above Westeros, ruling the ashes"..." Aegon then grasps the man by his face.
"SHOW ME YOUR FACE!" He rips off what appears to be a mask made of flesh, but the moment he tears it off, the cloak and armor is empty, and the man is gone. "No… A Faceless Man of Braavos!"
"Aegon…" Loras says, walking over to his adoptive brother, who is still shedding tears. "What did he mean?"
"I'm not sure… However… I know one thing…" He looks to his adopted mother and father as they walk to the boy, hugging him. "We won't be able to bury Willas…"
"What…?" Mace asks.
"I was warned that somebody I loved would pay the price for the dragon egg I carry to hatch… I didn't listen to the warning…" Aegon says, "Now I see…" Olenna Tyrell walks over, "Nana…"
"We will do what must be done, Aegon… For now though, we've a funeral to prepare for… He shall be burned tonight…"
"Mother, you can't be serious!" Mace says.
"Silence Mace… This is one time where the Traditions of the Seven must be broken… That Faceless Man had delivered us a message, and I intend to find out who wanted our sweet Willas dead…!" She walks over to Aegon, who hugs her as he sheds tears, "Shhh shhh… It's alright, he will be avenged, justice will be done… For now, join us tonight as we mourn Willas's passing…"
"Yes, Nana…" Aegon says, shedding tears.
Sunspear, Dorne
Rhaenys, disguised as Arianne Martell, finishes the last of the reports that need to be done for the day, much sooner than she had anticipated, and that was never a good sign for her, especially as her glass cracks as she reaches for it. Immediately feeling a disturbance, Rhaenys rushes out towards where her Uncles are and finds fighting off somebody with his spear, somebody that appears to be a servant, but with a swift movement, Rhaenys jumps down and brings down a dagger on the assailant, slicing them across the back. Oberyn kicks the man over and pins him down to the ground with his foot, his blade at the man's neck. "Check Doran!" Oberyn calls out, in which Rhaenys rushes to her Uncle Doran and finds the man holding a wound on his side.
"Uncle!" Rhaenys says.
"Rhaenys…" Doran barely gasps out, but smiles, "It is time child… Take my corpse and awaken your dragon from it's slumber… Ride out, and bring Death upon the ones responsible…"
"Uncle no…" Rhaenys says, hot tears on her face, trying to staunch the bleeding, "You're going to be alright…" Her voice is cracking from sorrow as the guards rush over with Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes, who gasp in shock as Oberyn removes the hood of the stranger, only to find the man vanishing and leaving something behind, a Sigil Pin, one shaped like that of a Mockingbird… Rhaenys didn't recognize this symbol, but by the Gods she was going to remember it, whoever bore this personal sigil was going to die by her hand, and ever living soul who swore loyalty to him to, even if a quarter of Westeros owed fealty to this person, they would die, and she would make their deaths public, just like how this man had the audacity to have her uncle killed in broad daylight. Rhaenys walks back to Doran, who smiles as his body grows cold.
"I will see you when you're old and grey… Rhaenys…" Doran looks to the sky as he sees something on the wind, and he slowly reaches up. "Elia…" He says, his voice hoarse.
"You did well brother… Let's go home…" Elia says, her voice unable to be heard as she grasps her brother's hand and pulls his soul from his weakening body. The only thing that Doran can do as he dies is smile warmly, happily, he gets to see his beloved sister again, and now, his corpse will be used to awaken a stone dragon.
Rhaenys sees her Uncle's arm fall as his life passes from him, and the young woman feels like the scared little girl she was when she came here, and at the top of her lungs, Rhaenys screams loudly, her howls of pain and despair flowing from her mouth as she clings to her uncle's body. Oberyn sheds hot tears as he covers his face with his hand, they didn't get along often, but Oberyn still loved his brother. The Sand Snakes do their best to hide their emotions as well, but Ellaria hugs them, in which their hidden faces shed tears. Rhaenys's loud scream echoes across all of city surrounding Sunspear, everyone hearing it and looking to the keep in shock.
The Manse of Illyrio Mopatis, Pentos
Daenerys gently holds the hand of Willem Darry, who lies in his bed, his old age finally catching up to him as sickness prepares to take him. "Princess, I am so sorry that I must leave you…"
"Don't be, Ser Willem, I am grateful for everything you have done for me…" Daenerys says, shedding tears while trying to stay strong. "You've been like a father to me, and I couldn't ask for a better father figure to not only train me, but also to raise me as you have!"
"It has been my honor to raise you as if you were my own daughter, Princess… I have taught you as best as I could, and now I can only hope that things will only get better for you from this day forward…" Willem says, smiling at the Princess. "Your grace… You told me once of your nephews and niece, I have a feeling one of them will come for you soon…"
"I can always trust on your feelings, Ser Willem, and I will not despair when you are gone, for you will not be gone for long… I read a book from Old Valyria, and they believe that when a dragon is hatched using the body of someone who willingly offered to have it burn to hatch an egg, then my ancestors say that they are, in a sense, reborn into this new body, just without their original memories…" Daenerys says, "So we will be together again soon… Kepa…" Willem's eyes widen slightly but then well with tears, the old man smiling as he faces the ceiling.
"Then forgive my brief absence, your grace, for I must report to Queen Rhaella… I will be back soon…" Willem says, smiling as he breathes his last, his last tears flowing down his cheeks. Dany, holding his cold hand, weeps quietly as she holds his hand to her face, her father figure now dead before her, with Illyrio Mopatis standing in the doorway, feeling pity and sympathy for the girl who had just lost he who she saw as a father. It only brought back the moments of despair Illyrio felt when his wife died of Gray Scale, not more than a month after giving birth to their son, Daegon. Due to his grief, Illyrio had nearly neglected Daegon, only to come out of his stupor when his son called him "Papa" for the first time.
The Fat Magister walks to Daenerys, and places a hand on her shoulder, "Your grace, we must prepare him for the ritual tonight… IF we don't his body will rot and become useless for the Hatching…"
"I know, Magister, just… May I have a few more moments alone…?"
"Yes, your grace…" Illyrio says, in which he sees Daegon watching from the doorway. He exits the room and closes it, "Daegon…"
"I know, Father…" Daegon says, "I just wish I could help her…" Daegon after being introduced to Rhaenys in the Verant Paradise, and falling for her, he came to see Daenerys as if she were his own sister. His father had originally intended for him and Daenerys to get married, but Daegon, he no longer saw the benefit of it anymore. He was Blackfyre, meaning he had no legal claim to the throne, thanks to the nobles who turned his ancestor, Daemon, against the throne. Luckily though, over the past year, he managed to gain the allegiance of the Golden Company, and reclaimed the sword Blackfyre, not for House Targaryen, but for himself, to prove he can be worthy of the blade as a vassal lord to House Targaryen.
Illyrio nods at his son and as they are about to leave, the door opens as Daenerys walks out, her eyes slightly reddened but dry of tears. "Have him prepared before nightfall…" Daenerys says, but then she turns to Daegon, who draws Blackfyre.
"Dany…" Daegon says, kneeling to the ground whilst holding Blackfyre in his hand, he looks up at her. "Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, I, Daegon Mopatis of House Blackfyre, as your distant cousin and friend, hereby declare my fealty to you…" He then turns Blackfyre on to it's side and lays it on the ground before Dany's feat, "I will shield your back and give my life for yours, if it should come to it! I swear it by the Seven Gods of the Andals, the Old Gods of the First Men, the Mother Rhoyne of the Rhoynar, and the Elder Dragons of Old Valyria!" Daenerys looks at Daegon, and can't help but appreciate his dedication to her, for he is the only friend she has here in Essos, whilst her niece and nephews are in Westeros. Daenerys places a hand on Daegons shoulder, smiling at the man before her.
"Then I shall swear that you shall always have a place by my hearth, and meat and mead at my table, and I shall ask you no service that would bring you dishonor. I swear it by the Seven Gods of the Andals, the Old Gods of the First Men, the Mother Rhoyne of the Rhoynar, and the Elder Dragons of Old Valyria!" Daenerys says, "Rise…" Daegon stands as he picks up his sword and sheathes it, bowing to her. Daenerys nods her head, thanking him, then retreating to her room, where she brings out her Black Dragon Egg. "Soon…"
Dragonstone, Verdant Paradise
Sitting on the cliffs, Jon Snow waits for his siblings, aunt, and Daegon to arrive, he had felt their pain as he went to the Godswood to meditate, and now he needs to know what is going on. He doesn't have to wait long as they arrive, and Jon can see the pain in their eyes. "Brother, sister, Dany, whats wrong?" They do their best to tell him, but Viserys can make out most of it for himself, and gives each of them comforting hugs, but that is when Jon realizes something… He wasn't the only one given that warning, all four of them were, and his eyes move back and forth, and in a panic, Jon cuts his connection and rushes towards the keep, as fast as his legs will carry him.
Winterfell, the North
In the Courtyard, Jon looks to see several guards lying on the ground bleeding, but the trail leads him back to the Training Courtyard, where he sees Sansa against a wall, with a cloaked man raising a sword. Sansa screams as she shields herself with her arms, "NO!" Jon shouts, only for something to move faster than any of them could see and the Assassin screams as he is pulled to the ground by a little white blur. Ghost snarls as he digs his little teeth into the man's wrist, ripping it open, but the assassin pulls another dagger free, and, in a swift motion, stabs the pup in it's chest. "ERINNON!"
It is in that moment, beneath the ice in his heart, something awakens, and the Wolf within his soul transforms into a Dragon, one that roars in fury as Jon picks grabs the dagger the man dropped thanks to Erinnon and stabs the man in the chest. Grabbing the man's hood, he rips it off, only to find there is nobody there. However, Jon then looks to the dagger in his hand, the one he picked up, it is a Valyrian Steel Blade with a ruby set in it's grip with a dragonbone handle, same with the one inside Erinnon. Jon dropping the dagger, moves to his direwolf and gently picks up the little beast, but instead of roaring, he holds the pup's corpse close and begins to weep silently. The guards and the Lord and Lady Stark came, with Sansa explaining the situation, in which Lord Eddard looks at the daggers that were used.
"Jon…" Ned says walking over to his adopted son, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry…"
"Jon…" Catelyn says, walking to him, to which Jon struggles to keep his emotions in check, but before he can say anything, Catelyn wraps her arms around him. "Thank you… Thank you for saving Sansa…" Catelyn had been working hard over the past several years to repair her relationship with Jon after finding out who he truly is. It was a long fought battle, but now they were on more amiable terms, and Jon, unable to keep his emotions in check, cries as he leans into Lady Catelyn's shoulders, shedding tears. "Shhh shhh… It's alright Jon… I know it's not fair for such a young life to be taken… But he showed us all who you are on the inside… And I am proud of you and your direwolf… Never again will I doubt you without reason…" Jon stays silent, save for his weeping…
Dragonstone, the Verdant Paradise
Jon returns to his group, wiping his tears, explain that he nearly lost his sister, but his direwolf sacrificed himself for her, and this earns sympathies of the group as Daenys walks over to them, noticing their pain. She hugs each of the fully grown children and calms them… "The time has come for all of you to awaken your dragons from stone… And soon it will be time for you to retake the Iron Throne and unite the world against the Apocalypse…"
"Daenys…" Jon says, "I don't know if we're ready for this…"
"Nobody is ever truly ready for their worlds to be turned on it's head… However, we must all adapt to the cards we are given and play them correctly." Daenys says, soothing them. "Now… Prepare for tonight, for your destiny awaits at sunset…"
After Sunset, Outside Winterfell, the North
Jon and his family, as well as their direwolves, have gathered outside the moors of Winterfell, where Jon has set up a pyre for Erinnon, where he places the direwolf pup's body along with his dragon egg next to it. "Mother, what is he doing?" Arya asks.
"I do not know, but I believe we are about to witness something that hasn't happened for over a century…" Catelyn explains. Jon finishes piling up the last of the wood as he pours oils over the wood, to ensure it burns properly…
The Sandship, Dorne
Rhaenys finishes making a pyre for her Doran, having built it around his wheelchair, Rhaenys placing the egg on the lap of her uncle with his hand gently holding onto it. She begins to gently douse his body with oil to ready him for the burning. A Priest says the funerary rights as Rhaenys takes a torch, and slowly approaches the Pyre
Highgarden, The Reach,
Willas is carefully laid across a pyre that has been carefully prepared as there are those who place flowers on his pyre to burn with him, showing those that still care for him. Aegon is the last, in which he gently places rare flower in Willas's hand, Dragon's Breath, and places his Dragon Egg in Willas's arms as the Funerary Rights are passed. With a torch passed to him, Aegon readies to light the fire.
Illyrio's Manse, Pentos,
Willem's body has been carefully lain upon a funeral pyre built for him in the gardens of Illyrio Mopatis, in a spot that will not set the garden ablaze, yet provide enough room for Dany, Illyrio, Daegon, and the Unsullied Guards who had come to respect Willem, to pay their last respects before he is burned. Daenerys, knowing Willem worshipped the Seven, brings out a book that contains the funerary rights of the Seven and reads them allowed in High Valyrian to pay respects to her father figure. With the pyre already doused, Dany gently places her egg in Willem's arms and goes to one of the Unsullied, who lights a torch for her.
All Four Locations at once…
The torch bearers walk towards the pyres and slowly lower the flames towards the oil, setting the pyres alight. The Flames rapidly rise as the Four Targaryens begin to focus their minds into the flames, something in their blood awakening as they instinctively step towards the flames, all those who try to reach for them find their hands pass right through their bodies. Each of the four vanish as the flames quickly grow into towering infernos that engulf the Targaryens.
However, as the Flames rise, they begin to spiral rapidly, and to those who still have the courage to look, they see the shadows of a human shape quickly climbing onto something that grows rapidly in the flames. Within ten minutes, the flames rapidly die down, and the light of the full moon reveals what is hidden in the darkness...
