(Friday)

As always, being a morning person Caitlin headed over to the dining hall for breakfast. She got in line at the new café. The line seemed almost a mile long, but she didn't care, she needed her coffee. Maggie had spent the night with Alex and was a snorer. Caitlin had no idea how Alex put up with that. Caitlin didn't complain though for she knew at least Alex was happy.

Just as Caitlin started to get bored standing in line, a text caught her eye. It was from Barry who she hadn't even thought about since the day they exchanged notes after class. She unlocked her phone and read his message.

Hey Caitlin! Got plans later? My friend and I are having a small party tonight.

It has been almost a whole week and Caitlin had almost forgotten about her enouncement with Barry.

Caitlin dismissed the message. For she had no interest in a party at the time. Then just as she reached the front of the line to get her coffee, it was almost time for her first class. Caitlin a bit aggravated that she didn't get to enjoy her coffee, she started to rush to her first class.

It was near the end of her last class and Caitlin was exhausted. Eventually she thought a little company might be nice, so she pulled out her phone and called Barry who was pleasantly surprised to hear from her. After exchanging pleasantries, Barry told Caitlin where and when the party was, and they hung up.

Finally making the plans for the night, she went back to her apartment to change. After trying on a several dresses, she knocked on Alex's door for a second opinion. "How do I look?" She asked Alex.

Caitlin was wearing a blue strapless dress that went down just below her knees and zipped up in the front.

"What's the occasion?" Alex replied as she leaned against her door frame sounding intrigued at the situation. "One of my classmates invited me to a party." "Like a date?" Alex looked shocked as she had never known Caitlin to be the type of person who is interested in dating. "I don't know what it is. All I know is that I really want to get out of the apartment." "Well, you look beautiful. Just don't have too much fun." Alex smiled and winked. Caitlin rolled her eyes.

Caitlin then grabbed her purse and started to walk to her car. She passed by Maggie on the way, and they exchanged smiles. As Caitlin got in her car, she started drive to the address that Barry gave her not knowing what to expect.
