Laugh

On a typical evening in Radiator Springs, Mater, Lightning and Fudge were about to take part in a typical, but not always enjoyable activity: tractor tipping.

"All right", Mater whispered, "we is gotta be quiet if we don't want Frank to catch us!"

The tow truck led the way through the field with the race car and fourteen-year-old human girl following at a much slower pace.

"Hey, Lightning!" Fudge whispered. "What did the farmer say to the tractors at night?"

Lightning sighed. He knew Fudge loved puns; he tolerated them. "I dunno. What?"

"It's pasture bedtime!"

The joke was so ridiculous, but Lightning couldn't help it. He burst out laughing.

Mater turned around to stare at them in horror. And rightfully so. A low morning sound alerted them to the presence of one angry combine.

All three of them were quick to hightail it out of there. This escape was much quicker and less dangerous than most other escapes since they hadn't made it as far into the field this time.

Fudge and Lightning were still laughing when they made it to the fence, but Mater was disappointed. Not just by the fact that they hadn't been able to go tractor tipping, but by the anticlimactic chase. (For some reason, he loved being chased by Frank.) "Dad-gum!"

"If you accuse me of ruining your tractor tipping, I'll get de-fence-ive!" Fudge wisecracked, pointing to the fence.

Even though it wasn't that funny, Lightning laughed hysterically.

Fudge grinned. "Thank you! I'm here all week!"

By the way, I forgot to mention: If anybody wants to use these prompts, feel free to do so. Just please let me know. I'd love to see what other people come up with! :)
