Natsumi's Tale
Summary
I didn't like mornings for a reason, but to be honest would any girl enjoy having to put up a henge Under a powerful seal. So to make a long story short, because of an incident when I was little, My berth name Natsumi Hyuga had to become Naruto Uzumaki for my safety.
A Mission In Wave
"So, umm... Natsumi-Chan? Is that your full name?" Sakura asked, smiling sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her neck with a hand. I giggled and replied.
"Y-Yes, my f-full n-n-name is N-N-Natsumi H-H-Hyuga. S-Sumi is j-just a n-nickname. But I-I go by N-Natsumi." I said calmly. All they did was blink, sasuke was about to speak when I here footsteps run up to us.
"Natsumi-Chan? Is that really you? My father told me that there was a member of our clan m-missing, a-are you the one he was talking a-about?" I smiled at my cousin and replied calmly,
"Y-yes I am Hinata-Chan, I am N-Natsumi H-Hyuga." My teammates looked confused witch I understood a bit, but what surprised me was that Sasuke was actually showing any emotion at all.
"Natsumi-san y-you a-aren't m-marked with t-the s-seal a-are y-you?" Hinata asked worry in her eyes. I shook my head and her eyes widened in shock. I sighed,
"The only thing I know about my mother is she was a Hyuga and a Uzumaki, she was a member of the main house." I said looking down at my feet. Hinata pulled me into a hug before saying.
"Let's go meat my sensei. She'll be happy to meet another Hyuga." She said, jumping up and down not caring if she was being formal. I laughed softly with my hand covering my mouth. My teammates looked at me in shock and surprise. I smiled and waved by to my teammates as I was dragged by an excited Hinata. As I was dragged by my cousin I tried not to laugh at the looks on my teammates faces.
We came to the place where the rest of Hinata's team was training. But before I could respond to any of their questions I was dragged by Hinata to meet her teacher.
"Hinata? Who is this you brought with you? she's not a part of team eight." My cousin blinked then replied happily,
"KUrenai-Sensei, this is my other cousin Natsumi Hyuga, she was the missing member that my father had mentioned before." I smiled shyly as Hinata's teacher looked at me with a warm smile,
"Well its very nice to meet you Natsumi, but if I may ask what team are you a part of?" At that question I paled I couldn't tell her I was on team 7 could I? "Well here goes." I thought as I spoke up,
"W-Well I-I'm a-a member of t-team seven." I looked up into a pare of red eyes, but they were not angry eyes as I had thought. I was about to speak again when I heard a voice call out to me.
"Hay Natsumi-Sama, Kakashi is waiting come on we have a mission in the Wave country." I sighed and followed Sasuke and bowed before waving goodbye to my cousin and her teamates and teacher. I still didn't get along with Sasuke... because he kept glaring at me.
"Do the Uchiha and Hyuuga clans hate each other? Did they have a huge fight or something? Why would the two clans hate each other?" I thought as we kept walking I kept a blank face, jus as I had been taught.
It took a couple of Days to get to the land of Waves, but when we did we were welcomed by the bridge builder and his daughter Tsunami, and her son Innery. We had gotten the bridge builder safely back to Wave country... Or so we thought. As soon as we settled down I got a bad feeling, and under my breath I wispered,
"Byakugan." I said under my breath, as I looked around I jumped when a voice startled me.
"Hay Natsumi-Sama? what are you doing?" I sighed letting my Byakugan fade,
"Well I-I have a bad f-feeling t-t-that something bad w-will happen." The raven haired boy just rolled his eyes and walked away. Then an angry voice brought me out of my thoughts once again,
"What do you mean by I think? Your a Hyuga. I thought your clan new everything? Or are you and the rest of your clan to dumb and stuck up to know what being alone feels like?" I flinched at the harsh words and I shrunk back hiding behind Kakashi, my lavender eyes filling with tears as I spoke.
"I-I m-might b-be s-s-shy, a-and I-I might n-n-not be w-w-what a H-H-Hyuga s-should be, b-but y-y-you d-d-don't k-know w-what I-I've b-been through... j-j-just p-p-please, I-I n-need to be a-alone for a while." After I said that I ran past Kakashi and ran outside, tears blurring my vision, as the door shut behind me.
After they all got over there shock Tsunami turned to her son, anger in her kind eyes.
"Young man go to your room, and think about what you've done to that poor young Hyuga!" Tsunami yelled in anger. Then she added,
"Now I'm going to find the Hyuga girl, and you come out when you are ready to apologize for your words and actions!" But once Innery went up to his room Tsunami was about to go out and look for her, but Kakashi stopped her.
"Tsunami, just let Natsumi be alone for a while, she's been through a lot... and she is also trying to keep up with her training as a Hyuga." Kakashi finished with a knowing tone,
"The poor girl's been through a lot more then her cousin Hinata, thats for sure." He thought sadly as he went to talk with his two other students. As Tsunami went to talk to her son she kept thinking of Natsumi. She was worried about the young Ninja who had ran off in tears, because of her sons harsh words.
I was awoken by the morning sunlight filtering through the trees,
"I must've fallen asleep in the forest." I thought. However I was brought out of my thoughts when I herd a voice say to me.
"You know Hyuga-Sama, Its not safe to sleep in the forest, you could catch a cold." I jumped to my feet facing the person speaking to me, I spoke calmly.
"My N-name is N-N-Natsumi H-H-Hyuga, and I can tell by your chakra you can use ice crystal-" The boy put a hand over my mouth and whispered softly.
"Shhh, you can't blurt it out loud and you have to promise not to tell anyone... please Natsumi-Chan, promise you won't tell?" I nodded as he removed his hand I said kindly.
"What is your name?" The boy's cheeks went red in embarrassment.
"Oh right, sorry Hyuga-Sama for not introducing myself, my name is Haku." I smiled and said calmly.
"Y-you d-don't n-need to call m-me H-Hyuga-Sama, you can just c-call me N-Natsumi-Chan. okay H-Haku-Kun?" He nodded again and we were quiet for a while before he spoke again.
"Do you have anyone precious to you?" I blinked then spoke calmly.
"Y-yes I do Haku-Kun. I have Hokage-Sama, Hinata-Sama, my teacher back at the academy, Kakashi-sensei, Neji-Niisan, Sakura-Chan, Sasuke-Kun and I consider you a friend to Haku-Kun." Haku just blinked at all the people I mentioned. Then Haku asked another question.
"Do you have any dreams Natsumi-Sama?" I smiled and said.
"M-my dream is to remove the c-caged bird seal from my clan and to become a medical Nin." Haku blinked before he spoke up once more.
"A metic ninja huh? And if I may ask, what is this caged seal you speek of?" I fiddled with my fingers nervously and my lavender eyes met his brown ones as I became very serious.
"The c-c-caged b-bird s-s-seal is what the members of the b-b-branch h-house a-a-are m-m-marked w-with. It means that they are destined to keep the members of t-t-the m-m-main h-h-house m-m-members s-safe f-f-from a-any h-h-harm, m-m-my b-b-brother N-Neji was m-marked with it when H-H-Hinata-Sama turned three." I took a deep breath and I was about to speak again but Haku spoke.
"So your saying the members of the main house can control the branch members, with that seal?" I nodded sadly before I glared at the sky.
"I—It's n-n-not f-f-fair, w-w-why did Neji-Niisan get branded with the seal?" I yelled.
"Wait, wait, wait, Natsumi-Sama, your saying that your brother got branded with the seal? Did you?" I shook my head and replied.
"I-I w-was made a member of the m-main h-house because I-I was born into it, just like Hinata-Sama and her sister, Hinabi. Neji is my older brother. Hinata-Sama and I are the same age, we are both 12." I finished smiling at the thought. I often times wish I was on the same team as Hinata-Sama. I sighed shaking my head as I cleared my thoughts.
Apparently Haku and I had talked for a while because a while later I heard a familiar voice call my name.
"Natsumi-Sama there you are, come on, Kakashi wants us for training in water walking." So I followed Sasuke and waved goodbye to Haku. after we learned water walking I went off somewhere private to work on my Eight Trigrams sixty four palms guard. I had asked Hinata-Sama to teach me her technique. I was getting better at it but I still needed a lot more practice. I wondered why Sasuke was the one to always find m, was he doing it to be nice? Or was he doing it to prove that he was better then me? I narrowed my eyes at the thought.
