12 YEARS LATER

Over a decade has pass since Einon tyrannical reign has began. And at a grassy field, a monk was riding on a mule on a path with satchels, the monk had brown hair with a head cover of some kind, blue eyes and had a necklace with a shell.

"Avalon, oh, Avalon." He said writing on a sheet. "For you I quest each day... the resting place of Arthur and the Old Code of his way. And when I find those holy stones... I'll pray, I'll pray, I'll pray. Oh, Avalon, bright Avalon think me not a fool. My quest is not for vanity, my quest is spiritual."

His mule then brayed.

"Spiritual!" The monk said. "Merlin, spiritual!"

Suddenly Merlin acts up.

"Whoa! Merlin!" The monk said trying to calm him down. "Merlin! Ow!"

Then Merlin takes off running as the monk then fell off and hits the ground. And he soon sat up.

"Everyone's a critic!" The monk said.

Then screaming was heard as people harvest wheat nearby started running as the wind then picked up.

The monk found Merlin and turns and his eyes widen as it wasn't the wind, and then the shadow of a large dragon flew by.

Then, Bowen riding his horse up a hill appeared with a bow and arrow as he was chasing the dragon. He rode his horse through the field and soon nears the monk.

"Dragon, dragon." The monk said.

"Yes, I know." Bowen said. "Where?"

"There, there." The monk pointed the direction the dragon went.

Bowen then rushed off on his horse and hurries down the hill as the dragon was heard roaring. The monk watched as neighing was heard from Bowen's horse, then Bowen was heard yelling mixed with the dragon's roars as the monk watched only imagining what was going on. Then hay was seen tossed over 20 feet in the air as the roaring continued, and soon a dust cloud floats through the air from the fight. The yelling and roaring continues as Bowen's horse came trotting through the dust cloud saving itself.

But it was then that everything has gone quiet.

And the monk remained silent fearing the worse.

But then, Bowen came walking out of the dust cloud coughing as he did killed the dragon.

"Get back here, horse." Bowen said. "You coward."

The monk stared at him relieved he was alive, and then he rushed over to him.

"Marvelous!" The monk said. "Heroics befitting the days of Arthur and the Round Table! Never have I seen such skill!"

"Then you must have lived the sheltered life... of a mon- monk." Bowen said.

"Why, yes." The monk said. "A scribe, scholar, historian and poet. You servant, sir. Brother Gilbert of Glockenspur. My humble life is in debt to your exalted prowess... your dauntless courage, and your superb, swift sword."

"You have the poet's gift of exaggeration." Bowen said.

"Sir, you should read my histories." Gilbert said. "But you belittle your talent. Modesty as well as valor. The Code of ancient Camelot still lives."

"Hardly worthy of Camelot." Bowen said. "Still, it's 1 less dragon."

Then pounding hooves was heard as Bowen lifts his left arm up holding a horn from the dragon he killed.

Then a group of 4 men approached them on their horses.

"Well done, Knight!" A man with black hair, some facial hair, blue eyes said. "Congratulations. Our gratitude, mine and King Einon's."

"Uh, you can keep your gratitude." Bowen said. "I'll take the gold. Yours or the king's."

"Gold, Knight?" The man frowned.

"We made a bargain, remember?" Bowen reminded. "1 dragon put down, 1 bag of gold."

Over the last 12 years, Bowen has hunted and slayed every dragon that has crossed his path.

"Your honor has a price, Sir Knight?" Gilbert frowned.

"It has expenses." Bowen said turning to him. "Honor won't feed my belly nor shoe my horse."

"The priest is right." The man said. "It is your duty to protect King Einon's vassals as a knight of the realm."

"Not of this realm." Bowen said. "I bend no knee to Einon."

"I should have known." The man said. "Foreign riffraff! Well, begone, vagabond, before I arrest you!" He then turns to the harvesters. "Back to work, you scum!"

The harvesters then came out of hiding from the tall grass.

"If King Einon's wheat isn't cut before the rain I'll do a little cutting myself!" He said.

Bowen got on his horse and heads off.

"Sir Knight!" Gilbert said holding the dragon horn and climbs on Merlin. "Sir Knight, wait!" He then followed Bowen. "Sir Knight! Hear me out! I'm on a pilgrimage. Might we travel together?"

"The road's still free, unless Einon's taxed it." Bowen said.

Bowen then heads off as the man looked he was in thought of what Bowen said.

At his castle, Einon now grown up came down some steps and looked more tyrannical and worse than even his own father. And probably 10 times the tyrant king his father was.

"A road tax, King Einon." The man said appearing by his side. "Hmm? A road tax."

Einon then walks off as he was unsure if he was keen to the idea.

"I mean, they are your roads, after all." The man said. "People really have to pay for the privilege is using them. And those who can't pay will have to work it off."

"Ingenious, Felton." Einon said. "Only you could keep such a good brain under such a bad hat."

Close by, Brok was tending to 4 falcons with head covers used for falconry. 2 Saker Falcons, a Lanner, and a Peregrine Falcon. He held a Saker Falcon on his left wrist with a glove on as he turns to Einon and Felton.

"That's very good, "bad hat"." Felton laughed.

Brok then walks by as the Saker's wing flapped at his head.

"Out of my way, peacock." Felton said.

"Brok, some are good at hunting men, some are good at hunting money." Einon said climbing on a white horse. "Both have value for me."

Brok then climbs onto his horse, and they trotted off passing by some villagers who were working.

They then trotted across a bridge as the castle looked nearly restored. And 2 servants followed them with Slovakian rough-haired Pointers.

At the pond, the quarry was still operational as many villagers were collecting stone for the castle. And many guards were on platforms and on horses keeping a watchful eye of them.

Among the crowd, the red-haired girl walks through the quarry as a guard stood in her way for a few moments. She then moved aside and walks off and looks around as if she's looking for something.

Or someone.

Close by, she noticed a man carving stone as he hammers, and she soon went over to him.

And the man turns revealing to be her father, and looks he is now blind in his right eye.

"Kara?" He said.

Kara then went up to her father.

"Kara, I told you- I told you not to come here anymore." He said.

"I'm a disobedient child." Kara said. "Go on. Take a drink. Go on."

He was about to take a sip of water, but then an arrow shot from nowhere knocks the cup right out of his hand.

They turned and saw Einon and Felton just arriving as 2 servants were in front of them with 4 dogs.

"Magnificent shot, Your Highness!" Felton said.

"Care to double the wager?" Einon said.

"Ah, yes, happily." Felton said. "Shall we say the water bucket?" He suggested.

"Stand still." Kara said. "Stand still."

Einon then withdraws an arrow back and aims, and then lets go as the arrow flew and hits the bucket as it was knocked on it's side.

"Superb!" Felton cheered.

"Double again?" Einon asked.

"Double again." Felton said interested. "Why not?"

Then Kara started walking towards them.

Einon aims and soon released the arrow as it flew pass Kara hitting a wooden beam in the ground.

"I say." Felton said as Kara continues walking up to them. "A moving target."

Einon placed another arrow on the string.

"Peasant scum." Brok said.

Einon then withdrew the arrow back ready to fire as he aims.

And then Kara stopped just a few yards away from them.

"You've got a nerve, interfering with the king's sport!" Einon said.

"There's no sport in tormenting a sick, old man." Kara said.

Einon, Felton and Brok stared.

"I beg Your Majesty, let him go." Kara said. "It's been 12 years. Your castle is built. He can do no more harm."

Einon slightly lowered his bow, and glanced over at Felton.

"For God's sake, release him." Kara begged.

Einon then smirked, and then he raised his bow up and then pulls back and released the arrow as it flew. And Kara looked back and gasped as the arrow lands a direct hit on her father's chest. And he stumbled back and fell back.

"Father!" Kara cried.

Kara then rushed over to him.

"I've always said death is a release, not a punishment." Einon reminded.

Felton then chuckled.

"Go." Einon ordered his horse.

They then turned their horses around, and begin to head out.

Kara quickly got to her fallen father as he weaken breathes.

"Kara." He said.

Soon, his head limped as his life faded, and Kara cried as she held him.

She then held his headband and wrapped it tightly around her right hand as she angrily turns over to the direction where Einon left.

Meanwhile, many hundreds of miles away, to the far north, across the sea was an island. And inhabiting the island was a tribe of Vikings, living alongside with dragons. Hundreds of them, many species big and small.

It was a place, called Berk.

Berk used to be fighting dragons, but that changed about 6 years ago. When Hiccup met a Night Fury he named Toothless, and showed that Viking and dragons can be friends.

It has been 10 months since the defeat of Dragon Bludvist, and Berk is now a dragon-Viking utopia. And Hiccup and the Riders have been rescuing dragons from hunters.

At the moment, they were by the forge as they were getting for a supply trip. And recently their friend Heather found a distant land as she was showing them a map.

The Riders have also have new outfits.

Hiccup's was brown leather clothing in the design of a chief.

Astrid had her hair styled changed once more, mostly free and waist-length, but still has a single braid. New shoulder pads, a new headband with no studs at the front, new fur bracers on her wrists, a new blue shirt similar to her old one from the days of the Edge, a short sleeveless red bolero-like vest with a diamond pattern with a brooch of a Nadder. New skirt, and brown leggings and new boots.

Snotlout now has red shirt made of shed dragon scales, a large gold belt with an image of him, still carries the bear fur pelt with a gold chain, and a new helmet more black, and with larger ram horns.

Ruffnut has barely changed, minus a chainmail right sleeve, and chest plating.

Fishlegs barely changed as well, only having now a tattoo of a Gronckle on his left upper arm, and has grown a braided mustache. Same with Tuffnut as he wears a wrist guard on his right wrist with bigger spikes, and had his dreadlocks braid together to make it look like a beard. Something that makes him very proud of which he calls it a full-thick beard.

Heather still wears her hair in the same braid over her left shoulder, now wears a red shirt, bluish-gray vest, black leggings, a new skirt with a single scale her old scaled one, but still wears the gray shoulder guards, bracers and knee pads.

"If we leave by sunset, we might get there by dawn." Heather said.

"Someone remind me why we've been over it 10 times?" Snotlout inquired slightly annoyed.

"Because I want everyone to get right." Hiccup said and turned to the Twins.

"Why is he looking at us?" Tuffnut asked his sister.

"Beats me." Ruffnut said equally confused.

"Now, one more time." Hiccup said. "We're taking a few things before we leave, and make it back plenty of supplies."

Fishlegs petted Fishmeat who was resting in his pouch.

"And no, Fishlegs, you are not taking Fishmeat with us." Hiccup said making himself clear.

"What?" Fishlegs said. "Why?"

"Because the last 2 raids we did, that cry baby of yours gave us away!" Snotlout complained.

"Sorry, Fishlegs." Hiccup said. "It's probably for the best."

"Oh, alright." Fishlegs said.

"Now. We leave by sunset." Hiccup said.

The Riders then leave to pack up.

"Well, you kids certainly are ready for this supply trip." Gobber said.

"Yeah, just wanted to grab a few things to get ready for next winter." Hiccup said and grabs a cup of water and drinks it.

"So, changing the subject." Gobber said and smirked. "Have you finally decided to pop in the big proposal?"

Hiccup's eyes widen from that last word, and then spits a mouthful of water out in shock and coughed a bit.

"Gobber! You can't..." Hiccup coughed a bit.

He then looks outside the forge be make sure Astrid wasn't close by.

"You can't just bring something like that up." Hiccup said escorting Gobber further in the forge. "I'd kill myself if she heard that."

"Hiccup, honestly, you're gonna ask her eventually." Gobber said.

"Eventually, yes. Right now, no." Hiccup said trying to be clear. "I just don't think she's ready yet."

"Well you wanna marry her, don't you?" Gobber inquired.

"More than anything, yes." Hiccup answered. "But... we'd probably still have a long way to go. I mean, it's a big step for not just her, but both of us. Look, this isn't something you can just force us too."

"Alright, I'll leave you to it." Gobber said.

"Thank you." Hiccup said. "Now, are you sure you'll be fine of handling the village?"

"Hiccup, relax." Gobber patted his shoulder. "Eret and Valka will help out while you're gone."

"Okay, thank you." Hiccup said.

He then leaves the forge, and got on Toothless as they flew off.

Later that day, it was sunset getting close to dark as some stars were starting to appear. And Hiccup was standing on a cliff overlooking the village and he watches.

"Ready for this, bud?" Hiccup asked Toothless.

Toothless crooned as his nudged him.

Then Astrid appeared on Stormfly.

"Oh, I was wondering where you were." Astrid said.

"Okay, real funny." Hiccup joked.

Astrid then hops off Stormfly and scratched Toothless on his chin.

"Everyone's ready and waiting for you." Astrid said. "We're heading out shortly."

"Okay, I'll be right there." Hiccup said.

"You okay?" Astrid asked.

"Yeah, just thinking about Dad for a moment." Hiccup said. "Been a little quiet without him."

"I know." Astrid said placing a hand on his shoulder. "I miss him too."

Hiccup sighed and looked up at the stars.

"You know what's funny." Hiccup said.

"What?" Astrid asked.

"If you look at the stars for long enough, you can see they make shapes." Hiccup said.

"Yeah, right." Astrid scoffed thinking it was a joke.

"No, I'm serious." Hiccup said. "A while back before we found out Johann was a spy. He gave me a journal and told me some groups of stars that took shapes of people, and even animals." He then reached into a saddlebag on Toothless and brought a journal out showing drawings of star patterns and their names.

"And they even have names." Hiccup said. "They're called constellations."

"Really?" Astrid said looking at the drawings.

"Yeah." Hiccup said and pointed to one with a curve at it's top. "This one is called Leo, for lion."

"Lion?" Astrid frowned.

"It's a big cat with a mane from Johann describe." Hiccup said. "And there's Delphinus, meaning dolphin."

"Hmm. I think I see where the dorsal fin is supposed to be." Astrid said.

"And there's Cetus, meaning whale." Hiccup showed a drawing of Constellation Cetus.

"Yeah, I can actually see the shape of a whale." Astrid said. "I see the head, fin and tail."

"Another one is Aquila, meaning eagle." Hiccup said gesturing to another constellation.

"Oh, yeah." Astrid said. "I can see where the wings and head is."

"Another is for Serpens meaning snake." Hiccup gestured to a constellation drawing. "But here's one that's my favorite that you might like."

"What is it?" Astrid asked.

"There's actually a constellation for a dragon." Hiccup said showing her the drawing constellation shape.

"Really?" Astrid frowned looking at it. "What's it called."

"Uh... I'm not sure." Hiccup said uneasily. "The name was messed and smeared when Johann gave it to me. Must've happened during it's travels."

"Hmm." Astrid looked at the drawing. "Uh, I don't think I see it, Hiccup."

"Oh, so you're saying you're not into this?" Hiccup said pretending to be offended.

"I didn't say that." Astrid said. "It just looks more like a snake than dragon."

"There's already a constellation for a snake." Hiccup said.

"I know that, it would be easier to picture it fully with it had a wing." Astrid said.

"Oh, now you're asking for it! Come here, you!" Hiccup said and grabs her as she laughed. "That was totally, low!"

Then Astrid quickly broke free from him, and then quickly flipped him over her shoulders as he hits the ground.

"You're so easy to beat." Astrid laughed.

"Oh, really?" Hiccup smirked.

He then quickly grabbed her foot, and pulled her off her feet as she hits the ground.

"You were saying?" Hiccup teased.

"Okay, real funny." Astrid said getting up. "Come on, the others are waiting for us."

"Yeah, you're right." Hiccup said.

Astrid then kissed him on his cheek, and climbs onto Stormfly and flies off as Hiccup got on Toothless.

But then Hiccup noticed the smirk Toothless had.

"Oh, quiet you." Hiccup said.

They then flew off.

Hiccup soon met up with the Riders now all ready to go.

"Okay, everyone ready?" Hiccup asked.

"Yes, yes." Snotlout said impatiently. "Can we go now?"

"Alright." Hiccup said. "Move out!"

They then flew off heading south to the distant land.

But no sooner than they past the Viking and dragon statue, a familiar cry of a baby Gronckle was heard.

"FISHLEGS!" Everyone yelled.

"Okay! Okay!" Fishlegs said knowing he was caught red-handed.

He then flew back to find Fishmeat a sitter.

"For Thor's sake!" Snotlout complained.

A few minutes later, Fishlegs and Meatlug came back, but the Riders seem to have unconvinced looks.

"I dropped Fishmeat off with a sitter, I swear!" Fishlegs promised and opened his empty pouch.

And Meatlug even opened her empty mouth to prove it.

"Okay." Hiccup said. "Let's get going. Heather, lead the way."

The Dragon Riders then flew off as they followed Heather as night begins to approach.

Author's Note:

Yeah, honestly, it was the best I could think of for a HTTYD: The Hidden World look for Heather. As Kowalski said in Madly Madagascar, "I don't know! Just improvise!"

And I still have no idea why Fishlegs would take Fishmeat with him everywhere he goes.

I'm not much of an astronomer, but Constellation Draco, Delphinus, and Cetus are probably in my favorite list in stars.
