Eh, I'm back. Missed me. As you can see I'm here with a new chapter. And yeah, that's basically it. Enjoy.

The sound of an alarm clock started ringing, and it didn't take long before Rev was up and awake. He started his daily wake-up routine that could take a minute, depending on how tired he was the night before. He always started with a yawn and then went to the bathroom. He started with a bath, which was what took the longest, as he couldn't speed up the water. He also had to wash out bits of popcorn and spilled liquids from the other night.

Rev still felt excited about Tech saying yes, even though they already had seen the movie. He wanted to ask Tech but had already convinced himself that he was going to say no. Probably so he could continue working on one of his inventions. Seemed like a thing he would say. He was even already working on something when he came to ask him. He still kinda felt bad about interrupting him. He seemed to be having a problem with something.

This brings up the fact, that Rev still asked him. When he thinks back on it, he still couldn't remember why. He already knew or at least expected that he was going to say no.

I don't want to feel like I'm complaining, after all, if I hadn't asked him, we wouldn't have been together that night. I just don't remember why I choose to try. What did I expect to happen? Or probably more accurate, what did I expect 'him' to say. Did I just believe he would have made an exception just for me? Which he, actually did. But still, did I just want to be sure? Or did I just hope it would go different? Wow, taking a bath really does make you think more.

With that final thought, he turned off the bath and went to brush his beak. After making water and toothpaste fly all over the bathroom, he took a towel and quickly cleaned it up. He then went to change clothes. He changed from his pajamas to his black and red suit.

He then left his room and went back to the living room, where he and Tech had watched the movie. He made a final cleanup check, just to be sure. To his surprise, it was less clean than he had expected.

Wow, I must have been more tired that night than I had thought.

He then went and cleaned the room again, more thoroughly this time. He even found some pieces of unpopped popcorn and, after making sure Tech wasn't near, ate them. He expected that if the coyote saw it, he would make a speech about how it's unsanitary, and generally just unhygienic. That thought made him wonder, where Tech was. He looked up at the clock and saw that it was a little over nine o'clock. Usually he and Tech wake up at eight. The only reason it was different this morning being that Rev was tired from the night before. Maybe Tech felt the same and was going to wake up soon.

Rev finally went to the kitchen started making his special wake-up shake. Though he felt a little more hungry, so he added a toast to his meal. When he was done and placed his things on the table, he sat down and was about to eat, when he realized something. The same thing he had realized before. Tech still wasn't present, and there weren't even signs of him having been in the kitchen. Rev sat and pondered for a moment, and decided to lay down his food, and go look for Tech. He thought it seemed appropriate that since they were alone, that they should eat together. He also found it strangely charming seeing him reading the news and drinking his black coffee, like his dad used to do when Rev lived at home.

He made a few rounds around the halls and corridors, just to be sure Tech wasn't wandering around somewhere. He then went to check his lab, and still didn't find Tech. Rev then finally went to check his bedroom. He saw that the door was still locked. He pressed his head against the door to try and hear something. Sure enough, he heard someone mumbling and rustling around. Rev then tried knocking, calling out.

"Hey-Tech-are-you-in-there? Just-want-to-check-and-make-sure-you're-awake-it's-getting-late-well-for-us-at-least." But no answer came from the other side.

Deciding to not start getting worried, Rev began to try and unlock the door. He had seen Tech making decryptions many times before, and he had even used him to try and test how good they were, so Rev had a pretty good idea of how to unlock it. A few seconds later and he had finally found the code. He then went and opened the door. The smell of burned wires, oil, chemicals, and other random assortments of stuff Tech use to make inventions flooded out. He peeked in and saw that it was pitch black, except for the light coming from the door. The light also shined directly into Tech's bed, where he still laid and slept. Even though Rev said to himself he shouldn't have worried, he still couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. He then notices something strange. Several things in fact. Firstly, he noticed that Tech still hadn't changed out from his suit, and had slept in it. The second thing was that not only was he rustling around, but Tech was also hugging his blanket like it was a person. And finally, the third thing was that he was mumbling something. Something Rev couldn't hear. Rev decided to slowly step closer, without knowing if it was to listen in to Tech's dream or to try and wake him up.

It was then when he finally heard something comprehensible. It seemed to be something Tech kept muttering. Rev got just a little bit closer until he could hear it.

"...Rev…" Tech muttered in his sleep, as the only recognizable word, coming from his mouth.

Rev stopped moving and just looked at Tech. When what was happening in front of him, and what he just heard, started connecting itself in Rev's mind, against his will, the roadrunner couldn't stop himself from blushing.

Wait, could he...no. Would he...no. Should I...no. I shouldn't think about stuff like that. We're friends. Besides, he probably just said something else, and I just misheard him.

He tried to shake the thought away, but the constant uttering of Rev's name coming from Tech didn't help at all. He was starting to feel uncomfortable just standing and watching Tech sleep, so he finally tried waking him up. He put his hand on his shoulder and started whispering in his ear.

"Hey-Tech-it's-morning-are-you-going-to-wake-up." When he heard no replay, except for an irritated grunt, he started shaking him. That seemed to do it, as Tech finally woke up.

The first face Tech made was one confusing, which quickly changed to shock, when he realized Rev stood right beside him. They both looked at each other like deer looking in headlights, with no idea of what to say. Rev was the first to break the awkward silence, as he nervously smiled and back away from Tech's bed.

"Hey-there-Tech-I-just-wanted-to-say-good-morning."

Tech kept starring at Rev. He noticed that Tech seemed to be blushing, and seemed to try and not hold eye contact with him, but at the same time didn't want to look away.

"Good morning then, Rev." Tech slowly managed to mutter, with a more high pitch sound than he usually speaks.

Rev made a nervous chuckle and started walking back towards the door.

"Good-morning-too-I-will-just-go-back-to-the-kitchen-and-I'll-make-you-some-breakfast-how-does-that-sound?" He asked, trying to relieve the awkwardness in the air.

Tech just slowly nodded while looking at Rev go out the door.

"Sounds great."

"Great-then-I-will-go-do-that-and-also-you-can-just-throw-your-suit-out-the-door-and-I'd-put-it-in-the-washingmachine-i-didn't-want-to-tell-you-but-it's-starting-to-smell."

The last thing Rev saw when closing the door was Tech embarrassingly looking down on his suit. He then stood by the side of the door and waited. He could hear the sound of Tech trying to undress, with frustrated muttering in the background. When he was done, he then quickly opened the door and threw the suit outside. Rev then picked it up, and quickly ran to the washing machine, and put it in. He then headed over to the kitchen and started making Tech's breakfast.

He remembered that Tech likes a piece of toast, some eggs and bacon, and finally, a mug of black coffee.

It took longer than Rev expected, but finally, Tech came, now dressed in his green pajamas.

"Didn't-have-anything-else-to-wear?" Rev teasingly asked Tech.

"No." Tech coldly replied without looking at him, which surprised Rev.

Tech then grabbed a datapad with the news on it and sat over for Rev at the table, without even giving him one glance. He then started reading and eating his breakfast. Rev also started to eat, but slowly, which he had hoped Tech would notice. But he didn't, he just kept reading.

They both continued like that, with Rev taking a glance at Tech now and then, hoping to meet his eyes. But Tech's eyes were stuck on the datapad. The weird thing for Rev was, that he could tell that Tech wasn't reading anything. He just kept his eyes locked on one place and hadn't moved them. He also rarely ate, just took a bite now and then, and a sip from his coffee. When Rev was finally done eating, Tech had only managed to eat half of his food. His expression had not even moved since he sat down. Rev didn't know whether to feel worried, ignored, or frustrated. The only thing he could think of that could have anything to do with Tech's behavior was his dream.

"Were-you-dreaming-when-I-woke-you-up?" He innocently asked, hoping to test the waters, before continuing.

Tech kept still for a moment, before answering;

"Yes."

He sounded like he was forced to answer, and with the same coldness as before. Rev felt like it was a bad idea to keep pushing him, but he felt it was the only way to find out what's going on.

"What-did-you-dream-about?"

"Nothing really." Even though it seemed Tech tried to be casual, it was obvious he was starting to get irritated about the questions. He also started blinking excessively, and his breathing seemed heavy. But still, Rev felt he had to continue. He knew it wouldn't end well, but he just needed to know what was wrong. Or importantly, if it had anything to do with him.

"Was-it-a-nice-dream?" Rev prepared for a frustrated reply, and he could even see Tech's face begin to twist into anger, and words starting to form in his mouth. But then, a look of hesitation went over the coyote's face, and for a moment he looked both sad, confused, and lost. He then figurately, and literally swallowed the words he had planned to say, and instead said something that both made him feel anguish, and happy.

"Yeah, it was a nice dream." The words still sounded forced, but rather in a sense that he didn't want to say them, but it was what he really felt.

This gave Rev some hope, and he felt happy knowing that Tech didn't have a bad dream. He has had bad dreams he would rather be rid of. Rev then felt he could continue asking Tech about it.

"How-nice-of-a-dream?" Immediately Tech's face went back anger, and Rev could feel his heart sink. But just as before, Tech seemed to decide to keep it in, and instead tell the truth.

"A really, really-" Tech stopped just short and looked like he was regretting telling Rev anything about his dream.

"-nice, dream." He finally finished, and he began to relax more like a burden was lifted from his shoulders.

Rev then looked down on his empty plate, and let out a sigh, which got one glance from Tech. He felt like it was now or never if he was going to ask what he actually wanted to know about Tech's dream.

"Was-I-in-your-dream?"

Tech started to think about what he was about to say. When he finally decided what to say, he violently turned to Rev, slapping his hands against the table.

"NO, and it has nothing to do with you!" Tech snarled at Rev. It was like he wanted to say something that was meant to convince Rev, but instead it came out as a threat.

Rev in turn felt the anger he had been bottling up starting to overflow, and before Tech had the chance to sit down, he had already stood up from his chair and made eye contact.

"What-is-your-deal-today-you-talk-to-me-like-I-called-you-a-dog-or-something!"

Tech moved closer to Rev, over the table and practically growled at him;

"I already told you, it has nothing to do with you!"

"Well-it-sure-doesn't-sound-that-way!"

"Why do you even care! Can't you just run off and do whatever it is you do and stop BOTHERING ME!" Tech shouted at Rev, but he was already prepared, and immediately answered back.

"BOTHERING-YOU!? Oh-Im-sorry-for-asking-about-your-well-being-like-I-don't-know-A-FRIEND!?

"Firstly, my well-being?! I had a dream, Rev. A DREAM! Secondly, was that why you saw fit to break into my room and stare at me like some kind of creep?!" Tech looked at Rev with an interrogating look, waiting for him to answer. Rev wasn't ready to answer that question and could feel himself losing his footing against Tech. To buy time, he came with a quick answer to hold Tech off.

"I-just-wanted-to-check-up-on-you! You-hadn't-woken-up-and-it-was-gettting-late!"'

"You couldn't just shout from the other side of the door!?"

Rev was starting to get nervous, as he couldn't find a good reason himself.

"I-was-just-worried-that-you-" Rev started backing up, and Tech took the chance to nearly move over to the other side of the table, cutting Rev off.

"WORRIED! I can take care of myself, I don't need you watching over me!"

"I-KNOW! I-JUST-HAD-TO-BE-SURE!" Rev screamed directly at Tech, who seemed stunned from his outburst.

The silence went over the both of them like a blanket. They both just stared into the eyes of the other, both seemingly tired from the arguing and yelling. They stayed like that for a few seconds, until Tech finally asked;

"...Sure of what?" His voice was no longer cold, just confused and shaken. Rev didn't fare much better. He wanted to tell Tech the truth, but something held him back. It was the knowledge that the answer would just lead to more questions, with answers that Rev couldn't find.

Then an alarm went off, and red lights started shining around the room. He and Tech started looking around, and then a lightbulb turned on inside Tech's head.

"It's my automated Acmetropolis emergency alarm! Something must be happening."

He then looked back at Rev, with a serious face, seemingly ignoring the events prior.

"I need you to go check what is happening in the control room. I will go get my suit in the meantime."

Rev quickly nodded, and said;

"Got-it." he then ran off towards the control room. Whatever was happening between him and Tech had to wait until they were sure Acmetropolis was safe. When he reached the room, he went to the first computer with a red blinking light. The screen showed the downtown, lightning, and debris getting thrown around. it didn't take long before a figure appeared, and Rev figured out who was behind it.

"Weather Vane." He muttered to himself. He then ran quickly back to Tech. When he finally reached him, Tech had just managed to get his suit on in time. Tech turned to Rev with a worried look.

"So?"

"It-seems-Weather-Vane-has-managed-to-get-out-of-her-cage-and-is-now-wrecking-havok-in-the-downtown."

"Weather Vane?! How did she manage to escape her prison?"

Rev shrugged and said;

"Beats-me."

Tech stood and thought for a moment. Then, a villainous smile formed on his face, which scared Rev for a moment.

"You know, I think it will work. Come on Rev, we need to get going." Tech then started running towards the hangar. Rev stood confused for a moment, before quickly catching up with Tech.

"Are-you-sure-we-can-take-her-on-I-don't-doubt-that-we-can-but-won't-it-be-difficult?" Tech just turned his head to face Rev, the same smile still on his face.

"Oh don't you worry, I've got something that will take care of her."

They finally reached the downtown, with Tech in his jet and Rev flying by his side. It didn't take long before they could see the purple storm and the lightning, coming from the buildings. Once they got closer, they could see people running away in fear. But something strange that they noticed was one man not moving. Rather it seemed he was holding something. They soon noticed the white flash coming from what he was holding and realized that he was taking pictures. Before they landed, the man noticed them and ran towards them.

"Hey! Hey! I'm down here!" He shouted at the two, waving his arms in the air.

Tech jumped out of his jet and stepped over to the man, who seemed to be some kind of journalist. He stopped right in front of them and immediately started gasping for air, holding on to his knees.

"I'm…*huff*...so glad to see…*huff*...you Loonatics." When he was done resting, he started to look to Rev and Tech's sides and behind them.

"Uhm, where are the rest? Aren't there supposed to be six of you?"

"Oh-them-they-arent-here-but-by-that-I-mean-they-are-still-on-the-planet-they-just-aren't-here-right-now-they're-doing-something-else-and-are-totally-not-" Rev was cut short when Tech took his hand around his beak. He was used to it and waited for him to let go. But for some reason, he let go immediately, which surprised Rev. Tech then had a look of embarrassment on his face. Rev looked at Tech in surprise, who dodged his look.

Huh, that's strange. Usually, he just shuts me up without hesitation. Not that I mind that much. I don't like the thought of saying something I don't want to say just because I couldn't shut my beak. But that doesn't explain why he seems, embarrassed.

Tech then turned back to the journalist.

"*Cough*...what are you still doing here. It isn't safe, Weather Vane is on the loose."

"I know! Here look." The journalist takes a card from his pocket and hands it to Tech. Rev peaked from behind Tech's shoulder and saw it was a business card with the man's face and name.

"I'm from Acme News. I read an old article about Weather Vane's first attack on the city and wanted to make a story about her or at least an interview, and her time as an assistant to Misty Breeze."

"Well-that-shouldn't-have-been-so-hard-considering-she-is-behind-bars. Or-rather, was." Rev chimed in. After doing so, a nervous smile spread on the journalist's face, and he began to chuckle.

"Yeah, funny story that."

Tech's face became clear with realization, and then incomprehension. His mouth opened up and stood open for a moment before talking.

"You gotta be kidding me. You're the reason she's free!?" Tech asked, with a continued nervous chuckle and a nod from the man as an answer. Tech just looked dumbfounded at the man, and Rev was starting to find the whole conversation pretty funny.

"How did you even manage to break the lock?! You know what, I don't even what to know." Rev tried holding in his laughter, but couldn't contain himself and let out a chuckle. Tech sharply looked over to his friend, and Rev looked away and started to innocently whistle. Tech in turn shook his head and turned back to the man.

"Can you at least tell me why?" Tech desperately asked.

"Well, you see, I wanted to make an interview. She was very cooperative, so I didn't think she was dangerous. She then convinced me to let her out, to get a first-hand impression of her powers. But then she started rampaging, and I followed her, and then you came, and here we are."

Tech took his hand up to his head as if he was getting a headache. He even looked like he was in pain.

"And you thought that was a good idea, because?"

"Well, I didn't think the worst that could happen would be so bad."

The sound of an explosion echoed from around a corner, the two heroes looking around, trying to find the source.

"I was wrong."

He then looked down at his camera and seemed excited. He then pulled it up to Tech's face, who staggered a bit back like he was about to be hand-fed, nearly hitting Rev in the process.

"But I did manage to get a lot of great pictures. And there's still a chance I could get an interview if she calms down a bit."

Then out of nowhere, a lightning strike hit the top of the building that the three of them were standing behind. Debris started falling towards the journalist, who nearly fainted from the sight. Tech then quickly jumped out of the way, while Rev picked the man up and carried him away from the danger. When he and Tech regrouped the journalist looked with shock at the building pieces that nearly crushed him to death. He then looked back at the two, with dread in his eyes.

"You know what, I think I will just make a documentary. From over there. Behind that car." He then pointed at a car that stood some distance down the road.

"Good luck!" He said while Tech and Rev looked at the car and then ran towards it, to then hide behind.

"Well-then-Tech-it-seems-to-be-up-to-us-now-you-said-you-had-something-that-could-help-us?"

"Indeed I do," Tech answered before running over to his jet. He then came back with a round metallic object, covered in electric coils.

"This here is my Weather Displacement Manipulator 1000, or WDM 1000 for short."

Rev looked examined the invention with the same glee as a child looking at a power tool. He found it amazing how Tech managed to make both a variety of different inventions and at the same time make them look different from each other.

"What-does-it-do?" He said, with the excitement of a puppy

"It's something that I have worked on ever since we last fought Weather Vane. With this, I can make an electric field that will control the weather in the covered area. Or more appropriately, make it so that Weather Vane's powers won't work."

"Why-haven't-you-turned-it-on-then?"

"There's a slight obstacle. I still need to tune it so it will have the desired effect. It will only take a few minutes, but I need you to distract her, and then lure her back here on my command. Then I will activate it, and then we can take her down. Can you do that?"

"Already-on-it."

Rev then ran off in the direction that Weather Vane's seemed to bring havoc. Rev was happy knowing that Tech wouldn't let their argument get in the way of their work.

It is just like Tech to act like a total idiot, and then turn back professional when he is needed. Who knows, maybe we can continue our argument without him avoiding the questions, or just without shouting. But that's hard to know when talking about Tech.

Rev then remembered what Tech's teeth looked like while he was shouting, and shuddered. Whether it's from his biology or his upbringing, he still gets frightened at the sight. He also gets sad, knowing that he thinks of his friend like that sometimes.

When Rev finally reached Weather Vane, it didn't take her long to notice the roadrunner. She turned to him, and let out an evil laugh, which Rev somehow found less original than everyone other time he has ever heard a villain laugh.

"Well well, if it isn't the Loonatics pet bird. Where are your friends? Hiding somewhere taking pictures? While I would be flattered, I don't think you idiots would be able to capture my greatness."

"Sure-we-could-we-would-just-need-much-smaller-cameras." Rev then made a small square shape with his fingers, pointed it up at her, and looked through it. He saw how her face turned red with fury, and how she started moving closer to him.

"Why you little...I think I will make some roasted chicken out of you!" She then started shooting lightning bolts down towards Rev who whoever, quickly dashed away.

"Only-if-you-can-catch-me!" Hen then started running around her. She followed him with her gaze, and with her lightning bolts. They started a mouse and cat game, and while Rev seemed to be winning, he could see as her frustrations grew, so did the storm around her. More and more lightning came flying towards him. At some point, one nearly hit him, only missing him with the length of a hair. But it still sent a shock through him, making him fly into the wall of a building. Vane then conjured a storm giant, who got ready to crush him with a single strike.

"It seems I finally caught my dinner." She sinisterly commented.

"Nope-not-yet," Rev mockingly said, before narrowly dodging the giant's fists.

If it wouldn't be too much Tech, could you hurry up? I know that you like taking your time, but for once, could you act like me and hurry!

Rev thought to himself, as he was starting to feel a bit of exhaustion. This happens so rarely, he still doesn't truly understand the feeling.

A minute or so after, Rev was still running around, now also dodging around the storm giants, that Vane had made. But then a familiar voice called out from the mist.

"Rev are you in there! The WMD is ready, but I haven't been able to contact you, is everything going okay!?"

"I-wouldn't-say-it's-going-okay-but-it-definitely-is-not-going-bad-so-I-guess-you-could-say-" Rev stopped talking when he realized that Weather Vane had noticed Tech, and was shooting a lightning bolt at him.

"TECH-LOOK-OUT!" He screamed before running towards him. He then picked up Tech and ran some distance away, and hid the two of them behind some buildings. There he put Tech back down on his feet. He then looked behind the corner to see if Vane was following behind them.

"Phew-that-was-close-you-nearly-got-hit-there!" He then looked back at Tech and realized that he indeed did get hit, and was smoldering.

"Yeah, nearly…" Tech then regenerated back to normal, with a tired expression on his face.

Rev nervously chuckled.

"Heh-heh-sorry-about-that."

"Don't worry, I've gotten used to it at this point. Still, I don't understand why you're communicator didn't work."

"Might-have-something-to-with-me-getting-hit-by-some-eletrcity-but-that's-just-a-theory."

"You're probably right." They both then noticed the purple fog, that was seeping in from the corner.

"It seems we should get moving. Follow me, and then we can take her to the trap."

Rev nodded in approval, and they both ran around the corner, meeting Weather Vane head-on. They both then decided to run the other way, with Vane chasing after them. After reaching the planned area, Tech stopped up, and Rev followed suit. They then turned to face Vane. When she caught up with the two, she started to laugh again.

"Well then, seems I get two Loonatics with one stone." She then conjured her giants and surrounded the two heroes.

"Seems it's time to put you two in the ground!"

"Actually, that role belongs to you." Tech then pulled out a remote with a big red button on it. He then pressed it, and electricity started shooting out from a nearby lamp post. It was Tech's invention, which he had plastered on with duct tape. Weather Vane looked on with confusion. More and more electricity started to come out of the device, and a globe-shaped energy field started appearing. Vane's giants then started to slowly absolve into the air. When the machine was finally done, Vane fell to the ground.

"What...what is happening?! What happened to my powers?!" Rev then started running around her, spinning her around like a carousel, and when he was done, she just stood there and waved to one side and then another, her eyes still spinning. Tech then used his magnetic power to take a lamp post and bend it around her, like a rope. He then dusted off his hands and looked over at Rev with a smug smile.

"It seems our job is done here. Rev, could you get that for me." Tech asked, pointing at his invention still stuck to the lamp post.

"Sure-thing-buddy." Rev then quickly moved up the lamppost, removed the machine, and came back down and handed it to Tech, now also making a smug smile.

"Here-you-go."

"Thank you."

They both then started walking back to Tech's jet.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?! I'm not done with you two! You can't just leave me here!"

"Oh, but we can and we are." Tech smugly replied, followed up by Vane's grunts of anguish, as she tried to break free.

When they reached the jet, Rev couldn't contain his questions.

"Wow-that-Weather-Displacement-Manipulator-or-WMD-for-short-was-so-cool-how-does-it-work-wait-let-me-guess-you-use-some-kind-of-electromagnetic-field-to-manipulate-the-weather-particles-in-the-air-and-use-it-to-manipulate-the-" he was cut off when Tech again closed his beak with his hands. But once again, Tech seemed to immediately regret his decision, and let go.

"Sorry." He quietly muttered, trying to not make eye contact with Rev. He then started moving towards the jet, walking past Rev in the process, who stood still and looked at Tech with a look of disbelief.

"Hey-what-was-that-for?" Rev aksed Tech, who stopped in his tracks and turned to face him, with an embarrassed look.

"Oh, um, that's something I'm just used to doing, I'm sorry if it-"

"No-I-know-that."

Tech gave Rev a confused look like a child not understanding what its mother is saying. Then Rev continued, not with more assertion in his voice.

"I-want-to-know-why-you-apologized." Rev crossed his arms and waited for an answer. Tech stared at Rev like he was talking gibberish.

"Excuse me, but, I don't seem to understand your question." He asked, talking like a noble speaking to a peasant. Rev could feel himself getting mad, feeling that Tech was talking down to him as if he said something stupid.

"I-want-to-know-why-you-said-sorry-and-why-you're-suddenly-caring-about-shutting-me-up?"

"I'm supposed to explain why I'm sorry for bothering you? Why should I have to do that?" Tech tried to hide it, but his voice showed that he was starting to get irritated, and felt that the conversation was meaningless. Rev felt himself boiling, breathing heavily, and grinding his teeth together. He was angry that Tech talked to him like he was an idiot, and that he seemed to dismiss his claims.

"Maybe-because-just-an-hour-or-two-ago-you-were-snapping-at-me-like-a-shark-and-know-you're-apologizing-for-closing-my-beak-so-could-you-stop-toying-with-me-and-instead-start-deciding-on-whether-you-re-going-to-be-a-jerk-or-a-friend-today?!" Rev regretted what he said, as soon as the words had left this mouth. He didn't want to continue arguing and felt bad about bringing up the argument they had this morning. Tech on the other hand was getting worked up, and started moving closer to Rev as if trying to intimidate him.

"So that's what this is about? You thought about that maybe I'm sorry for having acted like that, and now I'm trying to make up for it?!"

"You-couldn't-have-been-sorry-while-we-were-still-sitting-at-the-table?!"

Now it was Rev's turn to move closer, staring at Tech as if hoping to burn him with his gaze.

"No, I couldn't. Sorry for trying to make up for it!"

"Isn't-that-just-convenient-for-you!"

They were now standing up against each other, pushing their heads against each other. Tech was just about to make another remark when he was interrupted by the journalist, who had scurried away from his hiding place.

"Are you two a couple or something?"

He looked at Tech and then to Rev. Rev didn't comprehend what he had said at first, but after a moment of standing still, it dawned on him, and he moved away from Tech and started blushing. He looked over at Tech, who he could see was also blushing. Tech then, while starring at the man as if he was an insect, used his magnetic powers to take the man's camera out of his hands, and throw it away. He made a single yelp and stormed off after it, leaving the two to stand in awkward silence. Rev didn't want to look back at Tech but knew he had to say something to break the tension.

"Is-it-just-me-or-did-he-run-much-faster-just-then-than-when-he-ran-for-his-life?"

He expected Tech to ignore him and was getting ready to fly off when out of the blue Tech started chuckling.

"I think, if my estimates are correct, that he ran at least ten more miles an hour than before."

Rev turned to Tech, who was looking down on the ground with a smile.

"I-think-that-number-might-be-closer-to-twelve."

Tech shook his head, and turned his gaze upwards towards Rev, while still smiling.

"You know what, we can discuss it on the way back to the tower." He then walked over to his jet, and before climbing in, turned to Rev and rubbed the back of his neck, with an uncertain look on his face.

"You coming?"

Rev smiled warmly at Tech and walked over to him.

"Yeah-I'm-coming."

And there you have it. Thank you for sticking with this story. Happy to know this is making some people happy. While I can't promise a set number between each chapter, I'm not going to wait for a month before posting again. So don't worry about that. Other than that, write if you find some mistakes if you could be so kind, and tell me what you think. See you next time. If you're going to still be here.
