Chapter 2: First Steps on the Journey
"This is one of those worlds that got caught up in that Phantom Field's incident?" Minato asked as he swung his new Keyblade, Starlight, to cut down a group of the black creatures that attacked him and Elizabeth as soon as they spotted them. So far only the smaller ones kept attacking them while the largest among them kept their distance.
"Hmm. Yes and No" Elizabeth looked upward in thought, her own Keyblade planted in the ground as her cards cut down any monster that drew near her "While this world shares many similarities from the one whose warriors entered the Tag Tournament it also shares many differences, in other words it's far closer to a parallel world to the one I know and visited beforehand"
Elizabeth's words gave Minato pause, he turned to her ignoring the enemies around them "Any particular reason we're not in the version of this world you know?"
A large wolf like creature raised a claw hand to cut down Minato, it swung without remorse with it's full weight only to be rewarded with broken claws as the natural weapons of the monster shattered when it made contact with Minato. It stumbled backwards, seeming to clutch it's now destroy hand as it and it's kin began to realize what they had gotten into.
Elizabeth scratched her cheek embarrassed "I may have destroyed a mountain range and parts of a school in my efforts to slay a dragon, and I decided to wait before visiting again" she put on a cheery smile as she gestured to the snow around them "Furthermore, this specific variation experience time as a faster rate than normal with one month here would be two hours in ours. Allowing you more room to feel out the new Gamer power Stephen provided you and the Keyblade itself, now then shall we finish off these creatures of Grimm"
"Sure" Minato pointed Starlight at the gathered Grimm, elemental energy of fire, water and earth spun around the tip of the Keyblade before shooting off and converging on the Grimm to destroy them in blast of Almighty energy.
Elizabeth paused looking to Minato with concern "Is something the matter?"
"It's just, it doesn't feel right" Minato turned to fully face the Velvet Room Attendant "I know their monsters, but this feels less like a battle against monsters and more like pest extermination" raising his free hand Minato flicked his fingers, several Grimm were destroyed instantly from the force behind the power of Minato's fingers "Or, a child burning ants" Minato looked to his side to see a smiling Pixie, even one of his weakest Personas were able to beat up Grimm easily and even used them as improvised weapons for the novelty of it.
"Hmm. Burroughs, is there anything you can do to remedy the situation?" Elizabeth asked the AI of the Gamer Ability, while she herself had no connection to the new power Minato was testing she held a certain level of admin privileges to help monitor things.
[Hmm, from what I can see the issue is due to Master's promotion to the Champion Tier after claiming the Power of Bel. Give me a minute to process this..|/-\|/-\|0! What about this, Master?]

Requirements: Achieve a Higher Tier.
User lowers themselves down to the lowest Tier, negating the stat boosts of higher tiers, and in exchange the user gains bonus exp dependent on the Tier given up.

"Let's give it a try" No sooner had Minato utter his consent did he feel a weight overcome his body for a moment before fading, raising his hand he flicked his fingers and was pleased to see the Grimm not be destroyed instantly "Yeah, this can work"
[I'll undo the Limit form if need be master, for now grind with Mistress Elizabeth as much as you want] Burroughs said, a mirthful laugh in her voice [And yes, I'm aware of the double entendre]

Minato looked over his stats for a moment, just catching sight of a Grimm trying to sneak up on them "The stat screen's a bit large, any minimalistic way of showing it?"
[How about showing just your Attack and Defense statistics that comes from your base stats?]

"That'll do it" Minato leapt towards the sneaking Grimm and threw his Keyblade, spinning as it made contact and forced the Grimm into the air, calling it back a quick fire ball ended the creature of Darkness. A roar came from over head as the largest of the Grimm jumped down to battle personally, it's gaze fixed on Minato.
"It seems the leader of this pack has noticed your, admittedly drastic lost of strength" Elizabeth noted as several cards floated around her "How would you like to go about this?"
Minato looked over the Grimm as they seemed to gather in formation with their leader.
[Let's take them on together] [I'll handle the big one] [I'll deal with the small ones]
"Then I'll dispatch the mooks, as their called, best of luck" with those words Elizabeth flew up into the air before firing several cards into the ground creating a barrier with Minato and the large Grimm inside it.
Pointing his Keyblade at the Grimm Minato uttered a single word "Gryva"
The Gravity spell took effect in an instant, bringing the Grimm to it's knees as Minato planted his Keyblade into the ground snowy ground to summon Earth and Ice to pierce and pin the creature of Grimm to the ground. Rushing forward Minato struck the Grimm several times on it's bone mask and severed its hind legs, as it broke free the Grimm swiped at him with it's claws but with it's hind legs gone it had to drag itself along the ground with it's arms.
Jumping onto it's back before jumping into the air, using his Shroud of Power to create wings Minato stayed in the air as he gripped the Keyblade with two hands, remember his time in the Kendo club Minato brought the Keyblade high for an overhead strike as the Keyblade became coated in energy.
Swinging downwards a blade of energy consumed the Grimm entirely, as he finished his attacked Minato looked at the Keyblade with a concerned look. The sword beam was almost like the one the Gamer he defeated had, the one who almost seemed to have gone mad at the idea of losing.
As the Grimm faded away Minato looked over to Elizabeth to see she had already finished dispatching the weaker Grimm, seeing her eased Minato's heart as he knew if something happened Elizabeth would be with him to save him.
As soon as his feet touched the ground a pop up appeared before him.
Quest [Welcome to Remnant] cleared.

Minato looked at the message a little confused, looking to the Keyblade he frowned as he felt something was off, telling Elizabeth of the problem who looked through her book to see if there was anything wrong with the Gamer Ability.
"Strange, nothing appears out of order and yet the class refused to rise above a ten" she closed the book with a smile "Well, this is what beta testing is for or so I'm told. For now try switching Classes, and Burroughs be sure to send Stephen a report on this matter"
[Already completed, Mistress. What class do you wish to change to for the time being Master?]
Looking over the list of Classes available to him Minato considered his options carefully, giving it some thoughts he selected Rogue due to his admittedly lacking in stealth. As soon as the changed was made Minato's Keyblade flashed with a bright light, looking down he expected to see the magical weapon gone but was instead had changed. It had shrunk with the 'blade' becoming half it's original length with the guard only covering his fingers, overall it looked far closer to a knife.
As the wind and snow fall grew heavier Minato waved his hand overhead to delay the coming storm for an hour or so with the weather control he gained from [The Guardian] Class as he looked over his new Keyblade's new form.
"May, it seems your Keyblade changes to best fit your current class" Elizabeth looked over the now small Keyblade, laying a finger on the blade she pulled back with a look of consideration "It doesn't look like you can freely transform it yet, though I am curious of the connection allowing for this limited transformation"
Minato looked at Elizabeth surprised "Keyblades can transform into other weapons?"
"Yes, and so much more as well" Elizabeth summoned her own Keyblade, spinning it around as it transform from into many different forms. Swords, spears, canes, hammers, bows, scythes, guns, shields, staffs, gauntlets and even a flying bike. With her display over Elizabeth turned her Keyblade back into it's regular form "Keyblades are forged by one's own Heart and can be reshaped to what one needs, not dissimilar to Persona"
At Elizabeth's words Minato held up his Keyblade, looking at the magical item differently then he had before. Focusing on the Keyblade Minato attempted to change the length of the blade but finding no difference, hearing a tiny laugh he turned to Elizabeth as she threw her Keyblade into the air.
"It will take some time to freely transform your Keyblade, even with the Gamer Ability and your Personas helping along, for now you can ride with me" As she said this Elizabeth's Keyblade transformed again into it's bike form, jumping on it she tapped the seat behind her "I'll teach you what I can, for now let's head to civilization. I believe two cities are near here if I remember right"
Minato nodded as he dismissed his Keyblade and joined Elizabeth on her Keybike, as the transformed Keyblade began to take flight a part of Minato worried what Elizabeth's driving ability was like.
Meanwhile
Winter walked into General Ironwood's office with a file in hand, as she entered she saw General Ironwood at his desk looking over several documents. She gave the man a concerned look when she saw the bags under his eyes, while faint she was able to spot them due to the troubling amount of times the general had gone without sleep for a day, he was always dedicated to his duties but after the Fall of Beacon that dedication almost seemed to turn into fervour before he was able to pull himself back.
"General, I have the latest report on Amity" Winter saluted as she entered. Ironwood looked up from his work with a small smile when he saw Winter, easing slightly at the sight of one of the people he trusted most. The meeting between them was as causal as one could be in Atlas, Amity's continued progression with details on the effect of stolen materials was having on the project.
During the meeting between them a call coming through on Ironwood's scroll, seeing it marked urgent he answered it and put it on speaker for Winter to hear.
"General Ironwood, this is the monitoring team. We've notice something odd with the large group of Grimm a few miles from Mantle" being prompted to explain further the officer continued "The group appears to be shrinking, we're not sure of the reason and already have the underground scanners searching for any burrowing Grimm- The entire pack is gone and there's something rapidly approaching Mantle!"
"Get me visual on the object, stat!" Ironwood said, as he got to his feet the screen changed to a feed of the cameras on Mantle's boarder pointed at the direction of the rapidly approaching object. In a blink and you miss it moment, a flying bike was caught on camera before entering Mantle.
Minato slowly got back to his feet, Elizabeth's driving had left him shaken and the sudden stop and dismounting did little to help things. For the time being they went looking for a place to stay the night and explore the city the next day proper, it was only when they found a place did they realize one issue with their plan.
They had no money.
As they were debating what to do Burroughs found a solution.
"An apartment?" Minato asked as he looked at the Game window that had Burroughs on it "When did this ability appear?"
[It seemed to be a feature of the previous iteration of the Gamer Ability that went unused, Stephen has left several notes on it and marked it down on the priority list of things to test. I would have mentioned it earlier but with the position Tokyo was in it didn't seemed like a good time]
"Fair enough, doubt I would have even used it given the circumstances. Let's see what it's like" looking around for a place out of sight they found a spot under an overpass cover in graffiti to hide themselves in case the transfer to the apartment drew attention, once hidden the sudden teleportation took them to the gamer apartment.
The extra dimensional apartment was very modest all things considered, it had 100 sq feet of free space with two medium size bedrooms with their own bathroom and closet. A small kitchen area filled with everything including food, looking it over revealed no dates printed that was explained as never going off so it doesn't need replacing.
It was fully furnished with all the utilities in working order, the television and laptops had full access to the channels and internet of the world they were in and their original world with the only limited being the inability to send messages or post information.
Overall the only thing strange was the closets were filled with clothes that fit Minato and Elizabeth perfectly despite neither them of them wearing any of them before, and the glowing crystal paper weight sitting on the coffee table.
[This is the heart of this apartment, a core barely bigger then your palm] Burroughs explained as a full body avatar of the AI appeared [Right now it's extremely weak with just enough power to maintain this space indefinitely, but it can grow with your efforts]
"Such as?"
[General accomplishments, feats you have personally performed, player level, class masteries and other such things would empower the crystal. Empowering it will expand this place and unlock new things, all that's needed is for you to touch the crystal]
Minato turned to Elizabeth before he did anything, the Velvet Room Attendant gave him a smile and reassured him. Grasping the crystal nothing seemed to happened for several moments, looking at the crystal a tiny buffering symbol could be seen at it's centre, suddenly the crystal doubled in size and tripled from that forcing Minato to put the crystal down moments before the apartment began to shake.
For an instant they were back under the overpass in Mantle, shocking someone who was caught painting on the wall by two people in white armour, within a second both Minato and Elizabeth were pulled back into the apartment again before the armoured persons could turn around.
They found themselves in a forest covered in mist, the sky overhead was filled with swirling clouds even as no wind blew, Minato and Elizabeth looked around to get an idea of where they were when Burroughs appeared with surprise clear in her voice.
[Well, that was more explosive then expected] her voice was filled with surprise with a ting of excitement [The growth of the crystal was a truly spectacular sight]
No sooner had Burroughs said those words did rays of light breakthrough the clouds to reveal that they were standing in the courtyard of a castle, as the clouds to reveal a blue sky a giant crystal tower shining brightly with the core crystal far above it. What was once a crystal that could fit into a person's palm had grown to be a literal sun for the world around them.
Turns out that everything Minato had done counted towards the feats needed to grow the crystal including saving humanity several times, the result was an expanding world that was already roughly the same size as France and still growing.
While the growing world around them was still the [Apartment] it was only the castle that had all the utilities at the minute, the castle was large and sat upon a mountain surrounded by layers of walls and guard towers surrounding the castle. The interior of the castle was vast in size and yet sparse in design, the floors and walls given the bare necessities to stop it from being blank stone walls and floors.
Entering the 'throne' room they found a balcony with a view that over looked the growing world, rolling hills and forests greeted them with a large river cutting through the middle the land with a large lake that covered the tower.
'Why is it? Why do I keep coming across tower like structures?' Minato asked himself for a moment before pushing the thought aside, instead moving onto something else to occupy his mind.
Namely, going over the things he had to ignore while he dealt with the War of Bel.
"Now then, let's start with a Companion gem" Elizabeth said as she looked over a check list "Which one do you want?"
Minato looked over the list of Companion Gems, debating what to choose by considering what he wouldn't pick. Klaxosaur Princess sounded too much like a Featherman villain that may or may not be redeemed at one point so it was out, Failnaught and Tiferet were next on the list to be removed due to them both being unknown and likely from some fantasy world. Not helping matters was one was named after a legendary bow and the other one of the fruits from the Tree of Life. Leaving the choice between two, either Sol Badguy or Yuuki Konno.
Leaving it to chance for the final say he closed his eyes and picked, Minato took hold of Yuuki's Companion Gem with the rest being returned to his inventory. Looking at the purple gem with a frown Minato had one question in mind.
"How do I use this?"
[The intent to summon, nothing else beyond that]
"Really, seems rather lackluster for the summoning of an ally" Elizabeth smiled as an idea struck her "Why not perform a chant to signify their summoning, perhaps even a dance to celebrate such an event"
[Is that truly necessary?]
Minato looked over Yuuki's gem, using Observe on it to see if it would give him any new information.
Item: Gem of Konno Yuuki
A Companion Gem containing the essence of Konno Yuuki. Used to summon the being contained.
With nothing else being made apparent he decided to wing it by holding the gem up high.
"Oh noble soul who resides within this gem, if you can hear my voice and understand my will, I invite you to join us on this journey. Come forth, noble companion!" Minato held the gem up high, beginning to glow with a growing intensity that once it reached it's apex the gem disappeared.
Before them a human shape began to take shape and as it did a bar appeared over their head with spinning words.
Yuuki Konno opened her eyes with no small degree of confusion, her memories hazy and her vision unfocused. She rubbed her eyes as she tried to recall the last thing she did. As her vision cleared so did her mind, she remembered Asuna holding her as she…
She died, that's right.
'Konno Yuuki passed away, and I'm a copy'
As things cleared she remembered what she was, her hands began shaking as the existential revelation took hold of her, looking around the room she was in as she put the idea of her being just a clone to the back of her mind. It looked like a throne room with a large circular at it's centre with thrones around it, light was pouring in behind her illuminating the entire room leaving little shadows for someone or something to hide in.
A woman dressed entirely in blue gave her a curious look that seem to hold some concern, her golden eyes freezing Yuuki in place as an unknown power from the woman in blue fell onto her. Turning to the only other occupant in the room she saw a boy who looked a bit older then her, if she had to guess around two to four years older, with blue hair that covered his right eye and screamed bishounen. When she saw him Yuuki knew who he was, or at least what he had done.
He was the reason she was there, her apparent summoner.
Question now was, what should she do now? She's been literally Isekai'd to another world she knew nothing about and had nothing with her.
"Hello" her summoner said, a little awkwardly, apparently just as uncertain as she was on how to go forward.
'Well, I suppose introductions are a good way to start' "Hello, I'm Yuuki Konno. I'm 15 years old and leader of the Sleeping Knight's Guild" Yuuki introduced herself, mentioning her game Guild to gauge how they'd react to it. While neither of them seemed like bad people it was better to be safe then sorry.
"Ah, Minato Arisato. Recently turned 18 and currently beta-testing an Independent Power Booster based on Video Games" Minato replied, his expression seeming to shift slightly as he answered making he seem more welcoming to Yuuki.
The woman in blue bowed at the hip towards Yuuki "Welcome to this world, I am Elizabeth. Minato's assistant and supervisor" She paused as she looked upwards deep in thought "As for age, that will remain a mystery"
Yuuki nodded as she looked over Minato and Elizabeth, feeling more at ease then she was before "Okay, so what quest have you summoned me for?" at Yuuki's question Minato and Elizabeth looked to each other, that look being all Yuuki needed to know this wasn't going to be a generic Isekai fantasy.
They sat down at the table in the centre of the room as they went over why Yuuki was summoned, her eyes drifting to the largest of the thrones at the head of the table left empty before turning back to Minato and Elizabeth as they sat across from her. They all sat near the bottom of the table so the space between them was that large, giving Yuuki enough room to feel comfortable and not isolated or having little personal space.
Learning she wasn't summoned to save a world or for some grand destiny like in typical Isekai stories and was instead summoned as part of a test did bum Yuuki out, still neither Minato nor Elizabeth held any ill will and told her directly she was free to do whatever she wanted.
Still, the promise of an adventure in another world with game like powers was exciting. Not to mention she was standing up under her own power and no longer bound to a bed, she had to look at her own reflection several times to see if it was her real life self looking back or 'Yuuki'. It didn't help reassuring her she wasn't in a game that she could open a status window to check her stats, being able to share Minato's Gamer Ability as his Companion would take some getting used to but Yuuki had to. Especially with her stats.

Her base stats were as low as they could possibly be, even with Minato's own power enhancing her own due to being a summoned Companion all her stats save magic were below what was average for normal humans.
Still, things weren't all bad. Her skills from the VR games she played seemed to have been carried over to an extent, her sword proficiency was max with her title of Absolute Sword enhancing it even further. Other then that were a few little things, Dark Magic from ALfheim Online and the Arthropod Control from Serene Garden. Strangely she even had several weapon proficiencies she never used before, things like spears, knives and guns among other things.
The 'Surprise Rolette Wheel' that appeared as Yuuki was summoned was the only explanation given, apparently the summoning method they used had a chance to add something to the person summoned. For Yuuki she was summoned with the second most common result on the wheel.

Something that gave Yuuki proficiency and powers based on what she gained in various games with little extra things such as the new proficiencies, Yuuki was very happy with what she got not only due to it giving her some level of edge but also due to how some of the other outcomes were more then a little distressing.
"34 and 63" Elizabeth looked over the list that appeared when Yuuki was summoned, among all those listed those two numbers were repeated several times "Could it be an error with the system or do these numbers holding some hidden meaning?"
[They seem to change which version of a being is summoned, similar to the Alternate Continuity listed]
Yuuki sighed with relief at Burroughs words, happy knowing she wouldn't have been altered in some way by what was randomly chosen. While Yuuki would admit to being somewhat curious at what she would look like as a boy she did not what to meet a perverted version of herself, that was asking for trouble if she did.
However, Yuuki's sigh of relief drew the attention of the other present leading her to explaining what she believed those numbers meant with vague answers being acceptable with Minato despite Elizabeth and Burroughs wanting her to go into explicit details.
With the general explanation of internet terms out of the way they moved onto the next aspect of The Gamer Power being tested, namely the world they were in. After explaining to Yuuki how the world was made they reviewed what they could do with it, other then providing them a place to sleep and recharge wherever they go.
Depending on Minato's Player level and Class Masteries new effects, facilities and rooms would be added to help support him and those allied with him, there were even structures that could be built out in the world to further enhance his skills such as a laboratory and research centre built into the newly form mountains or setting up a factory near the massive stream. The main downside was that layout was predetermined and couldn't be moved until Minato was level 100 for some reason.
Yuuki suggested that there could be a grinding spot or dungeon for them to hunt monsters, mainly due to her experience playing games and that there are some base buildings with the option.
Besides exploring the castle more in depth to see what else there was beyond the throne room, and to see where the bedrooms where as it was it would be starting to get late by the time they were done exploring, Minato pulled out dozens of coins of various sizes and colours.
All of them were Gacha Tokens used to summon items or even skills.
Most of the items were mundane, fashionable clothes, sweets, drinks and an oil drum filled with honey. Out of everything pulled three items stood out, a bright red gem filled with light, a syringe filled with something and a model ship.
Red Stone of Aja – Class Gem
A perfect gem stone without a flaw, able to reflect sunlight thousands of time to a single point. Unlocks the Hamon Practitioner Sub Class, wielders of martial arts who use the power of the sun to protect against the dark and heal.
Syringe of Advance Mitochondria – Class Gem
A syringe filled with evolved mitochondria that have become semi-sapient, injecting it into a being with mitochondria will cause them to evolve and mutant. Unlocks the Awakened [Mitochondria] Sub Class, beings possessing biological abilities that border on before entering the paranormal, efficient use of biological processes and enhances Bio powers.
[NOTE: Mutation chance negated due to Gamers Body, Mutation removed at Max level and can be shared in full or selectively without risk of Mutation at Max level]
Model Ship – Class Gem.
Whether it be through magic or science, there have been beings whose souls were once mighty machines of ingenuity, war, hope and despair. Unlocks the Ship Person Primary Job, humanoid beings wielding the power of warship with only a percentage of the previous size and thousand times cuter 3! Begins with access to Destroyer Type with further forms unlocked with more levels.
After some light discussion regarding the new classes, mainly on the Awakened and Ship Person Classes, Yuuki asking if the Awakened Mitochondria could heal serious illnesses when injected, they made their way to the other rooms to see what there was. Other then the numerous bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dinning room there was two particularly large rooms, one being a library of sorts.
The library was filled with shelves upon shelves of books that seemed to stretch out endless in all directions, the floor remained fixed mid-air without any visible sign of support. At the centre of the platform they were on was a large five pointed star with a black and white face in the middle. The other noticeable trait of the room was the prominent blue all around it.
"Hmm, I must say being here is making me quite reminiscence of home" Elizabeth said with a smile, looking around the library her eyes seemed to settle on the pentagram "It would seem this room received the boosts from your Guardian, Persona User and Demon Summoner Classes"
[This is, concerning] Burroughs appeared to them as she looked over the library, a frown on the A.I. visage [This place, it's called the Infinity Library, and the processing power to make full use of it is staggering]
"Really, are you not able to use it?" Yuuki asked the A.I.
[I can, though it would take my full attention leaving me almost blind to everything else] Burroughs shared a look with Elizabeth, a moment passed before Elizabeth nodded.
"I'll send word to the Doctor, see if he has any additional AI to help you run this Infinity Library" Elizabeth answered with a smile.
[Thank you. Though, I'm not able to use the full extent of this place yet the Creation of new Personas and the Summoning of new Demons from the new Worlds you visit is ready to go when you are]
Deciding to leave the Infinity Library for the time being they went to the other room, the one Yuuki suspected held special dungeons for them to grind in.
Sure enough several massive doors waited for them in a large room, the one feature all but one shared between the doors of various sizes and colours were chains kept in place by spikes and locks.
"I knew it!" Yuuki fist bumped as she looked around the chamber filled with doors "In Hero Summoner games there's always a place to farm for EXP or materials" Looking at the doors Yuuki saw nameplates above the doors describing what they held, after a few seconds of searching Yuuki found what she was looking for.
Ultra Super EXP Dungeon. That was the name written above the door in bold blocky words, if someone looked closer they could see the shadows if large bulbs inside the words.
Yuuki smiled brightly at the door, her smile lessening as she saw the several dozen spikes and locks on the door "I'm guessing you don't have the key to open this door"
Minato shared a look with Elizabeth, a twinkle appearing in their eyes "Not the key designed to open that door, but we may have something else that can" Yuuki looked at Minato and Elizabeth wide eyed, the young swordwoman getting pumped up to level up "But first, let's try this here"
The only door free of chains or locks had a far simpler nameplate compared to the other nameplates around the chamber, a simple wooden sign with the words painted onto the wood.
Journey's Beginning.
[While you have fought many battles before, you haven't fought with your current skill set] Burroughs gave Yuuki a smile [Thinking of it as a test run before going after all the experience points you want]
"First things first" Minato turned to Yuuki with a blank look "We don't have any weapons at the moment so I'll lend you a Persona weapon for these dungeons"
"Wait, aren't Personas the manifestation of your soul" Yuuki said. The fact Minato was offering a portion of his own soul to her, even if it was for a limited time, caught her off guard "Is, is that really okay?"
Minato nodded "Of course, we are comrades after all"
Minato had lent his Persona weapons to the rest of SEES when they were climbing Tartarus, so offering a piece of himself to a comrade was something he was familiar with.
Yuuki looked away scratching her cheek "Well, if your sure" Yuuki was about to answer with Sword when she stopped herself, looking to her class and her time playing Asuka Empire she considered a more fitting weapon "Do you have any Katanas?"
Reaching out his hand Minato grasped the empty air as a sheathed katana materialized, the blade housed in the dark purple sheath was long and seemed to radiated power. Minato held the sword for Yuuki to take which she did with some caution.
Masakado's Katana [Persona Weapon] – Legendary
Sword of the Samurai Taira no Masakado, or simply Masakado, who named himself Emperor of Japan before his death. This blade carries the power of the samurai who has become the Guardian of Kanto, filled with divine protection and the dark fury that led to the people to enshrine his head.

Yuuki was taken aback by the power she felt from the katana, for a moment it felt as though the Demigod Masakado was standing with her watching over her. As the power of the katana, born from Minato's own soul, flowed through Yuuki she couldn't help but compare the sword to an end game weapon.
With weapons in hand Minato and Yuuki entered the dungeon with Elizabeth staying behind,
The dungeon itself was a small cave that led out to an open grass plain that stretched out as far as the eye could see, the sky overhead held clouds moving around lazily with no sun in sight despite how well lit the area was. Before them was a dirt path leading from the cave to a structure further into the plains, beside the entrance was a small chest filled with steel weapons and shields. Emptying the chest of it's contents Minato and Yuuki looked down the dirt path.
"How about you take the lead for this?" Minato suggested as he summoned his Keyblade, still in it's knife form "I'll offer any support you need"
Yuuki nodded, her eyes drifting to the key shaped knife Minato was holding in a reverse grip for a moment before looking down the path with a smile "Okay, I'll lead us to victory. Let's go!"
It wasn't long walking down the dirt road did they encounter the enemies of this dungeon, small blue slimes with puppy dog faces.
Unsheathing Masakado's Katana took a battle ready stance with Minato standing behind her staring at slime dogs befuddled, he had fought many strange enemies but slime dogs were new ones for him especially kind of cute enemies.
Yuuki swung her katana and bisected two of the three slimes with no hesitation, the slain dog slimes burst into pixels before disappearing into nothing. Yuuki looked around for the third slime only to find it mindlessly bumping into her leg. Yuuki looked at her HP to see it hadn't gone down at all.
Looking at Masakado's katana for a moment, understanding she wasn't taking any damage due to the katana's powers, Yuuki raised her foot to stomp the monster trying it's best to kill her. Yuuki's foot connect with the slime and crushed it underfoot, however instead of turning into pixels the slime escaped under Yuuki's attack and retreated for another attempt.
Using Masakado's sheath Yuuki struck the slime dog and defeated in one strike, sheathing the blade when no more slime dogs were in sight.

"Limit Form?" Yuuki asked as she turned to Minato for an explanation, Minato explains what limit form was and Yuuki compares it to Minato playing on new game plus or using a late game feature.
As they continued on the path they began to see where they were walking to, some form of town though neither Minato nor Yuuki could make out more details then that.
As more SlimeDogs appeared they seemed to have brought new friends, namely SlimeTurtles.
"Hmm, let's see what this Arthropod Control can do" Yuuki said as she stretched out her hand, from her body tiny balls of light drifted upward before they began to take shape and before long a buzzing noise could be heard. A swarm of insects stood at Yuuki's orders and with naught but a thought they descended upon the Slime monsters before them, the slime monsters bounced around in a panic to escape from the attacking insects.
The SlimeTurtles tried hiding in their shells only for the insects to following them inside, eventually Yuuki called back the insects as they returned to balls of light before returning to her.
"Hmm" Yuuki looked over her free hand "Looks like I can see a single point of SP to create those one of those Insects and I can reclaim that SP so long as the insect returns to me"
Minato looked at the Slimes as they returned to their earlier formations, their movements entirely robotic "How much control of them do you have?"
"Total" Yuuki answered as she summoned more insects, two began flying around in wildly different patterns while three more seemed to be dancing on Yuuki's outstretched palm. She looked to Minato with an astonished look "I can control all of them on the mirco-scale, from every beat of wings to the tiniest of twitches"
Minato looked to Yuuki with worry "Isn't that too much of a sensory overload?"
"It should be" Yuuki unleashed the insects on the slimes again, the monsters returning to their panic "But for some reason I'm handling it too well" Yuuki frowned as she turned to Minato "I think Arthropod Control has some secondary multitasking skill helping with this" Yuuki turned back to the monsters with an uncomfortable look "Even so, I really don't like using it like this"
"Yeah I can see what you mean, I'm getting a bit of a Beelzebub feel from watching you use Arthropod Control like this" at Minato's words Yuuki called back all her insects, in their recent attack it was able to widdle down the monster numbers from eight to three "Is it alright if I try something with these slimes"
Yuuki looked puzzle but nodded anyway, stepping forward Minato knelt down to the last remaining SlimeDog "Hey, do you want to join us?"

The answer Minato got was a headbutt from the SlimeDog
[Master, these monsters can't be recruited due to their nature as monsters born for you to fight] Burroughs spoke, her voice holding a mirthful tone.
"Well, I had to see for myself" Minato rubbed the spot he was hit to remove the slime, with a frown he turned to Yuuki behind him "Mind if I test one thing? I got a skill a short while ago and this seems like a good chance to test it out"
"Sure, let's see it" Yuuki answered, curious at what the skill Minato was talking about.
Taking a deep breath an aura of power gathered around Minato "[Demi-Fication: Divine and Dragon]" a torrent of power gathered around Minato and turned into a storm hiding him view, a shock-wave lashed out and sent everything other then Yuuki flying backwards.
As the power began to subside Minato could be seen exactly where he stood, rising to his feet Minato looked over the changes that had just taken place. Draconic armour appeared all around his body, clawed boots and gauntlets, a horned helmet with a glowing halo behind it appeared with Minato's face still visible. Behind him were a set of feathered dragon wings and a prehensile tail, a tail the quickly smacked the attacking SlimeDog that had no sense of self preservation.
Raising his hand Minato looked over the claw gauntlets he now wore, looking behind himself to his tail and wings Minato flexed them to get a sense on how they worked with him even using his new tail as a seat and wings as shields from the remaining enemies.
"What is that?" Yuuki asked as she looked over Minato's new outfit, he explains what Demi-Fication was as the slimes continued to attack without any results. Yuuki thought about it for a moment before she spoke to Burroughs "Hey, I want to try this Demi-Mode thing as well. I could pick one skill that me and Minato can share, right"
[Are you sure you want to equip Demi-Fication as your shared skill?] Burroughs asked to confirm Yuuki's decision, once she did Burroughs turned her attention to Minato [If I may Master, may I change the name of Demi-Fication to Demi-Mode?]
Minato raised an eyebrow at the question for a moment before nodding.
"Demi-Mode Dragon!" Yuuki called out, like before a torrent of power engulfed her before revealing Yuuki with new armour. Yuuki's dragon armour carried similarities to Minato's own, gauntlets, boots, wings and a tail, but also carried some notable differences such as stockings being visible pass the boots. Instead of a horned helmet Yuuki had a tiara headband set of horns with a small visible jewel at the centre of the tiara, looking over her new form Yuuki looked to her new featherless wings before jumping into the air to take flight.
Seeing Yuuki's happy face Minato smiled, letting Yuuki enjoy her new found flight ability. Turning to the slimes who were still trying to defeat him Minato opened his mouth as a stream of Almighty Energy destroyed the slimes, and a sizeable portion of the ground beneath them.
Seeing the destruction Minato covered his mouth and returned to normal, as the ground seemed to repair itself Minato frowned "Right, I'll need to be more careful with breath attacks"
After completing the beginning quest, and giving Yuuki time to get adjusted to her new circumstances, Minato and Yuuki stood side by side in front of the experience farming dungeon. Lifting his keyblade Minato aimed at the door, a five pointed star formed at Minato's feet and glowed as a beam of light from the Keyblade struck the door, the door was overcome with glitches for a moment before the locks disappeared and the door swung open revealing an empty room with a single message box at the entrance.
Group attack skills, instant death skills, disable when using EXP Dungeon.
"Ready?" Minato turned to Yuuki to see her smiling with a firm grip on her borrowed katana, in matching step they enter the EXP Dungeon as the doors close behind them.
Screams, explosions, victorious shouts cut short with surprise yelps. The dungeon's doors rattled uncontrollably, swinging open Minato and Yuuki walked out with giant glowing words floating that said [CLEAR] behind them.
"That, was not pleasant" Yuuki said, leaning on Minato to walk as the EXP dungeon took more out of them than expected.
Minato nodded "Innocent Sin online didn't have enemies that annoying"
The doors to the dungeon sealed behind them, the EXP Dungeon melting into the wall completely disappearing. Where once it stood a floating plus sign and a zero appeared, the experience points gained from the dungeon began being calculated as it grew faster and faster.
Yuuki turned to Minato, her eyes focused on his earphones and MP3 player "Innocent Sin Online, huh. You must really like retro stuff then, though I guess the MP3 was a hint to that"
Minato frowned "I wouldn't really call them retro, the MP3 is only a little over two years old and Innocent Sin Online shut down about a year and a half ago"
The numbers grew higher and higher, breaking through a million and kept on increasing.
"A year and a half?" Yuuki looked at Minato oddly, regaining some of her strength she stopped needing Minato for support "No, the fan servers are still going when I heard about them last. They made a big announcement of patching in VRMMO for it"
"VRMMO?" Minato asked, not sure what Yuuki was talking about.
"Yuuki, could you tell us what the year was before you were summoned?" Elizabeth asked, having an idea of what the source of the confusion was.
"2026" Yuuki answered, an idea forming of what was going on. She looked again at Minato's MP3 and asked to confirm her suspicions "What year was it for you?"
"2011" Minato answered, unsure of want to add to the discovery his new ally was from fifteen years into the future.
As the numbers slowed down, the total culmination of experience points Minato and Yuuki gained was put on full display. Moments before it was multiplied by Minato's Limit Form.
"Your old enough to be my dad!" Yuuki blurted out before they were overcome with light from the display of numbers.
Error! Too much EXP gained too fast, storing away EXP for later.
Deciding to call it a day Minato, Elizabeth and Yuuki went to bed. However, instead of a peaceful sleep something else greeted Minato.
Looking around Minato found himself at the Stations of Awakening again, waiting for the voice from earlier to speak again Minato summoned Messiah and his Keyblade for whatever came next.
With nothing happening Minato looked around the platform to see if there were any more loose fragments of stain glass similar to what he found before, during his search steps appearing as much smaller stain glass platforms appeared at the edge of the circular platform Minato stood on leading to another large one that emerged from the darkness around them.
Seeing little other options available, Minato went over to the new platform to see if he could learn what he was doing back at the Station of Awakening. As soon as he stepped foot on the new platform a figure appeared, a woman robed in blue wearing a snake mask that covered the upper half of her face while the lower half was hidden behind her robes.
Behind Minato the path he took vanished with only his original platform remaining, the mysterious woman summoned a Keybade of her own and raised it against Minato.
"I'm sorry _ _ you _ this" The woman said, her voice cutting off as what seemed like static could be heard "_ make this quick" with what almost sounded like a remorseful tone the woman fired off a spiked ball of ice at Minato.
Rolling out of the way Minato pointed his Keyblade at the unknown enemy to fire off a fire attack while Messiah moved in to attack, without missing a beat the woman redirected his fire attack at Messiah who was able to dodge in time. The woman called down more spiked balls of ice with each one shining with different elemental energies, each one exploding as it released the stored elemental energies, forcing Minato to de-summon Messiah so as it wouldn't be struck by one attack.
As he looked over at his mysterious opponent the static from before returned, the endless darkness around them momentarily replaced by a graveyard of keyblades with a storm raging overhead, Minato winced as the static faded. Shaking it off an idea of how to win came to Minato's mind, focusing on speed to dodge attacks and attacking before those attacks could be fired off.
The battle ending with a flurry of slashes as the woman's form began sinking into the platform beneath them.
"I'm impressed, _, You did well with this one" Minato called out to the woman to ask who she was, instead of answering him a ball of light emerged from her chest and floated towards Minato "You must make it through this"
In an instant Minato found himself back on his original platform as the new one collapsed in on itself into one fifth of a circle, as it got closer to him Minato saw a symbol of a snake on it. Grasping it he could tell it was like the previous shard he came across when he first arrived at the Stations of Awakening, looking through it Minato saw the same Station of Awakening he saw in the previous shard.
As the shard in his hand faded Minato swore he saw one fifth of that distant Heart glowing, almost as if acknowledging him. Turning his attention to the light that emerged from the mysterious woman Minato saw the light fade away to reveal a circular medal with an image of the mysterious woman on it.
Grabbing hold of it Minato could hear music as he began to understand what he was holding, a medal to enhance his Keyblade.

Minato felt himself beginning to wake up, around him portraits of of various scenes circled him before vanishing as quickly as they came.
Opening his eyes the first thing Minato saw was the ceiling above him before a message window appeared.

"Well, that's one way to wake up in the morning" Minato rubbed his eyes as he sat up, summoning his Keyblade Minato hovered his hand over the cross guard to remove the Medal from one of the Keyblade's slots "Burroughs, could you analyst this please"

[A crystallization of memories and skill, of beings that once were or yet to be, granting access to a portion of the originals might] Burroughs said as everyone gathered at the table in the throne room to look over the Medal that appeared in Minato's keyblade.
Yuuki turned to Minato with a questioning look "So this is suppose to have something to do with your previous life?"
Minato scratched the side of his head "For lack of a better term, yes. Though I have no memories of that time. Although…" Minato looked to the medal as his thoughts drifted to the battle and that Keyblade Graveyard "I feel as though the person on this medal played an important role in… something" Minato frowned as he felt the answer on his tongue for a moment before slipping away.
"Perhaps we can use the Infinite Library to gain some answers from this medal" Elizabeth suggested as she looked over the medal before checking her book "The new AIs to help run it arrived while you were sleeping and are fully operational, I'll admit to being a bit giddy at the idea of trying this Infinity Library"
[A Word of Warning Master, Yuuki] Burroughs gain the attention of the two [The new AIs to help run the Infinity Library are… quite eccentric]
Yuuki blinked at the warning "Are they that bad?"
[Not bad, no. Just, I believe I need to give you both a warning to brace yourselves] Burroughs before the Medal was sent of to be examined, by the time the others made their way to the Library the twins would have something to show.
As they made their way to the Infinite Library Yuuki would give Minato awkward glances as they walked "Um, about yesterday. I'm sorry for what happened"
Minato gave Yuuki a questioning look, not entirely sure what she was talking about.
Yuuki rubbed her head "You know, about that dad comment"
Eyes widening in realization Minato nodded "Oh yeah, I forgot about that" he said, having a feeling Yuuki would be embarrassed by what she said so he chose to forgot it for her sake. Minato frowned as he thought about Yuuki's comment as a thought from the back of his mind came back to the forefront of his mind "Hey, Yuuki, when were you born exactly?"
"May 23rd, 2010" Yuuki answered without really giving the question much thought.
'May 23, so two months after graduation' Minato thought to himself, if he was Yuuki's father he would have already died before she was even born "May, then I would have been gone by that point" seeing the confused look on Yuuki's face Minato explained "I found myself in another world in in early March that year, so if I was your father I never would have even had the chance to meet you"
"March, huh" Yuuki said with a slight shake in her voice, thoughts of her originals own recent death still fresh in her mind "Then, I guess it's a good thing you aren't my dad"
The awkward conversation between Minato and Yuuki came to a merciful end when they reached the Infinity Library, Elizabeth gave the two a worried look along with Burroughs before they all entered.
Unlike before the Infinity Library was abuzz with activity as books flew across the vast expanse with pulsating lines spread out through it all and converged into the platform they stood on, soon two figures flew down from the heights of the library to greet them.
"HEY! Welcome to the Library, this place is HUGE!" a purple haired woman who appeared to be wearing a black and white suit with a bow done up like bunny ears said as she landed.
Her male counterpart was much more subdued "Welcome Master, we've been hard at work getting to grasps with this new system and I'm happy to say we've made excellent progress"
Minato looked at the two new AI, feeling Deja-vu as he compared the two to Elizabeth and her brother Theodore. Minato pushed those thoughts aside as he greeted the two AI, as he was in the middle of introducing himself he found the two AI were staring at him intensely "Um, is there something on my face?"
The brother and sister AI shook their heads "Nope. You just rreeaallyy remind us of a certain someone" the female Tico said with an embarrass look.
"Our apology Master, while your don't share the same appearance there's just something about that remind us about a previous user" the male Tico explained as he bow.
"Previous user? What did you two do before this?" Yuuki asked, her curiosity about the new AI growing.
The two AI looked to one another before speaking in unison "We were tasked with helping the running of an app which primary purpose was the summoning and fusion of Demons"
"Once our purpose was fulfilled after a certain user saved humanity we were content to rest for evermore" The male Tico said, sounding content.
The female Tico jumped in front of her brother and continued on "Bbuutt~ This cool old dude found us and after some talking we decided to hang with him, since then we've been his background assistants before he asked us to help you run this place" The female Tico spun around "There's tons of stuff here, and not very optimized either" Female Tico fell and was caught by her brother with ease.
"Really, is there anything interesting you can tell us about this Infinity Library?" Elizabeth asked, her eyes wandering over the female Tico's outfit with an appreciating eye.
The male Tico helped his sister to her feet as he explained "Among other things, the two most prominent things Lady Burroughs has not yet informed of is that this place gathers information of the worlds you visit. Gathering all information it can across the Space-Time of worlds to further improve yourself and it, in a sense you could call this place the data center of the Gamer Ability"
"The other thing is it can show you the various classes you can unlock, showing you requirements, paths to get specific classes, accessing classes your allies haveand spending overflowing EXP into unequipped Classes without having to switch!" The female Tico said, bringing up a holographic map for both Minato and Yuuki.
[We're lucky the Ticos found this feature after what happened yesterday after the Ultra EXP Dungeon] Burroughs with a crooked grin [I didn't think it was possible to crash the EXP process by getting too much of it]
Both Minato and Yuuki awkwardly scratch their cheeks at Burroughs words, the error message of too much EXP coming back to the forefront of their minds.
"If I may, Master. Would you like to use this feature to use the overflowing EXP from the dungeon Lady Burroughs has mentioned?" the male Tico asked as he gestured to the map of Minato and Yuuki's classes.
Minato and Yuuki shared a look before nodding as they began distributing their EXP. Yuuki poured her EXP into her Samurai and Arthropod Control while Minato looked over his available classes, not seeing what he was looking for he summoned the Syringe of Advance Mitochondria.
"Do I have to actually inject this thing to get the Awakened sub class?" Minato asked Burroughs hoping he wouldn't have to.
[Merely will the desire to take on the job as your new one, though you could inject it if you want for the theatrics] Burroughs explained, Minato maxing out Traveller before holding up the sub class item.
Seeing Yuuki looking at him surprised with the item he gave her a smile before he took obtained the sub class, knowing this way Yuuki would get access to the sub class without having to worry about mutations.
Sub Class: Awakened [Mitochondria] equipped.
Auto merging semi-sapient Mitochondria wills to user, merge complete user in total control.
HP Regeneration doubled.
Able to use HP in place of SP.
Minato shivered, trying to get used to the feeling of being very aware of his bodily processes "Burroughs, remind me you said you can seal off classes if the need arises"
[That's right master, would you like me to do so now?]
Minato shook his head "No. Just wanting to double check that" without another word Minato began pouring EXP into the Awakened [Mitochondria] sub class. Not really giving much thoughts at the various pop ups regarding new skills, only giving his attention to one that showed up as he maxed it out.

Passive: Doubles the potency and efficiency of all Biological powers and skills, HP costs greatly reduced, power over the mitochondria of others greatly enhanced.
Mutation chance when giving out Awakened Mitochondria reduced to zero, any mutation would only be allowed if you willed it during the process. Can give out lesser Awakened Mitochondria to give selective perks/benefits to others, returning the old to their prime, curing all mundane diseases, granting minor powers, etc.
Active: Liberation Mode, in this state all your bio powers are greatly enhanced tenfold as your body takes on a new appearance to denote your ascension in power. Appearance sculpted to your liking.
Your stats receive a x5 boost as the cost of bio skills greatly reduced.
Holding up his hand Minato watched in mild amusement at the arcs of electricity between his fingers before dismissing them, looking back to his Class map Minato thought about where else to level up.
"Thank you" Yuuki said as she started levelling up her own Awakened [Mitochondria] sub class, Minato gave the younger girl a smile before he started levelling up the basic classes of Rogue, Fighter, Mage and Acolyte. As those four were maxed out a fifth appeared in response to those four being maxed out, looking over the fifth class of Bard Minato liked what he saw and decided to max it out as well.
Minato looked at his collected EXP and saw he had barely made a dent in it. Looking over his available sub classes he dumped EXP into Alchemist, Artificer, Blacksmith and Chemist and still hadn't used that much EXP. Not sure what else to pick Minato called forth the Red Stone of Aja to unlock the sub class connected to it.

Minato raised an eyebrow at the skills, namely Fashionable Martial Artist and how it seemed more force in compared to the other skills. Maxing out that class there wasn't much left Minato felt like maxing.
Turning to Yuuki for her experience with video games Minato asked what she would suggest.
"Hmm, I've been maxing out these Heroic Classes" Yuuki pointed to a group of seven classes marked as Saber, Archer, Lancer, Berserker, Caster, Rider and Assassin "I've mostly been maxing out Sword wielding classes but once I saw these it seemed like a good balance spread like the basic classes"
Looking over Yuuki's selection Minato maxed out the Heroic Classes Yuuki was picking, as he was filling out the classes Minato looked over the two Classes right next to the Heroic ones.
Saver and Foreigner. As he looked over them he noticed a new class pop up between the Heroic Classes called Heroic Spirit.
Minato closed Class map as he reset his Primary to Keyblade Wielder and his new Secondary to Yuuki finished with her Primary Class set to Heroic Spirit and her Secondary set to Hamon Practitioner.
As they were about to return to Mantle the Ticos presented what information they had on it from the Infinity Library and after the info dump about the various Kingdoms, Huntsmen and Grimm along with an event called the Fall of Beacon they found themselves back in Mantle.
For now, there only course of action was exploring the city to learn more about it and it's people.

Medal: Crystallization of a being's skills and memories, grants access to one skill and boosts the attack and defence of a Keyblade when equipped.
Awakened [Mitochondria] – a Class unlocked by a special item or through a specific action.
One whose mitochondria have evolved in ways many have never seen before, grants a wide range of abilities so as one remains in control.
Grants a range of ability such as levitation, electric and flame manipulation, gravity manipulation, biology manipulation (limited to beings with mitochondria), faster healing and numerous other ability such a super mode.
Hamon Practitioner – a Class Unlocked either by an item or through a Special Action.
Wielders of an ancient mystical martial art, through controlled breathing they are able to perform miraculous feats.
Enhance physical physiology, enhance physical attacks, channelling Sunlight energy into things for all manner of effects. At higher levels Hamon becomes capable of harming any creatures of darkness and not just those who are undead, capable of sustaining oneself with just their supple of Hamon without needing to eat but one it runs out the effects will hit the user all at once.

Bio:
Yuuki was born with her twin sister on May 23rd 2010 two months after their birth father, Makoto Yuki (an alternate timeline version of yourself), passed away after hanging on for as long as he could after creating the Great Seal.
Yuuki and her family didn't need to worry for money as the Kirijo Group supported them in the shadows with several members of SEES getting close to the family as friends and found family.
Losing her mother in 2023 and her own sister in 2024 later on Yuuki had already lost her entire family by the time she was 14 and has been under the direct care of the Shadow Operatives, the successor group of SEES, since.
And now, a duplicate of Konno Yuuki has been summoned by her birth father from another timeline.
Minato swallowed the lump in his throat as Elizabeth and Burroughs read over the message themselves. "Oh my" Elizabeth said, just as shocked as Minato.
Rubbing her eyes Yuuki opened them and saw Minato, recognizing him from the photos she saw of her father Yuuki looked around the room at the castle she found herself in as one thought came to mind.
'Have I been summoned to another world by my dad?'

"None that I can see" Elizabeth answered Burroughs question as General Ironwood got to work securing the sealed Salem.

Don't know why, got the idea of the Persona 3 Hero being Yuuki's dad. Timeline wise it could work due to Minato having to 'get together' with Yuuki's mother around August (summer break) for her to be born on the canon date.
