"NO WAY YOU'RE MAKING AN ALL-GIRLS BASEBALL TEAM!"
The principal shouted at the three girls, who showed him their plans to form a baseball team.
"But Mr. Principal!" Chiyo objected, "We really want to make the club possible!"
The principal wanted to say no, but, his said something else: "Okay, if you want your baseball team, then you must get six other girls to join your club by the end of the month. Otherwise, the offer is done with. Now get out of my office!"
The three girls then walked out of the main office as they started to walk back home.
"Man! How we're supposed to get more girls to join our baseball team?!" Tomo pouted.
"I don't know, Tomo," Yomi answered, "I mean, in this age who will be crazy enough to join our forces?"
That evening, at Tokyo Station, a familiar blue steam engine was unloading a bunch of passengers, but the noticeable thing about the passengers was that they speak in a different accent than the other people of Tokyo, more southern-esque.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo Bay, a large boat has just arrived and a group of passengers was leaving it. The most noticeable thing about those passengers is the darker skin as if these people came from some tropical island. But after the passengers left, a small brown cat hopped off of the boat, sniffed the air of Tokyo, and lep off to the nighttime streets.
The next day, everyone was at school, chit-chatting as usual, and then Yukari shows up.
"Okay remember yesterday when I told you all about the two other transfer students?" She explained to her students, " Well, they're here! Kasuga Ayumu! Katawagawa Kagura! Come here to meet your new classmates!"
The first of the transfer students came inside. She has shoulder-length dark brown hair and large rounded eyes, and such a lithe and pale body for her age of 15. Then, the second of the transfer students came inside. She has short and wild ruddy brown hair and sharp brown eyes, and her body was dark-skinned and muscular, almost as she was working out at the gym with a bunch of buff men.
"Hi," the pale girl greeted, "Ah'm from Osaka, and mah name is Kasuga Ayumu and it's a pleasure to meet-"
"No no no!" Yukari interrupted Ayumu, "You should thicken your Kansai accent, give the class the authentic Osakan experience! Just say 'Darn nice to meetcha!'"
"But, even in Osaka, Ah- Okay, darn nice to meetcha."
"Okay okay, go to your seat, Ayumu! Kagura, you're next."
"Yo!" the dark-skinned girl greeted, "I'm Katawagawa Kagura! And it's an honor to meet you all!"
"Kagura, what kind of vulgar language you're talking in?" Yukari asked Kagura.
"Oh, it's Okinawan! Though I can speak Japanese if you want me to."
"Nah nah, I'll encourage you to speak the language you feel comfortable with! Now, get back to your seat like a good little girl!"
Once Kagura sat down on her desk, the other students looked at her, though some boys were distracted by her large boobs, a thing that Tomo is looking at.
"Takino-san," Chiyo called out, "Are you okay?"
Tomo then shook her head, "No, it's just that she could be a potential member of the baseball team!"
"Tomo," Yomi popped into the conversation, "You know that we have to do tryouts for members of our team. We can't just invite people without some talent to our team."
"I know, I know!" Tomo said back, "It's just that-"
"Tomo, you're repeating yourself."
"Oops, sorry, Yomi."
Later that day, during lunchtime, Ayumu was unpacking her bento, which has some rice, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and vegetables. The girl then started to split a pair of chopsticks, but she failed, so she tried again. Meanwhile, Tomo, Yomi, and Chiyo were spying on Ayumu.
"So," Tomo whispered, "Who's going to talk to her?"
"I'm going to talk to her, Takino-san," Chiyo answered.
The little girl then got near the ditzy girl, who was still busy splitting the chopsticks.
"Uhm, hi there, Kasuga-san," Chiyo nervously greeted, "I'm Chiyo Mihamovsky, and it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Oh, ya are that precocious little girl the other students were talkin' about," Ayumu said back, "Well, it's darn pleasure to meet ya!"
As Chiyo and Ayumu chat and ate together, Tomo and Yomi were trying to sneak up on Kagura, who was eating some champuru and rice, but then, the tanned girl then glared at the two.
" What in the hell do you want with me?!" Kagura asked the two girls.
"Uhm, will you join our baseball team?" Tomo asked Kagura.
But the only answer she and Yomi got was a black eye and broken glasses.
After school, Tomo finally went back home...which is now a crowded restaurant filled with hungry Allied soldiers.
"Tomo!" Mr. Takino shouted, "Change out of your school uniform! We need your help!"
"Coming dad!" Tomo said as she rushed upstairs.
She then removed her school uniform and puts on a simple yellow kimono and white apron. But before she can go downstairs, she heard the telephone ringing. She then picked it up.
"Hello?" Tomo asked.
"Ah, Takino-san," Chiyo answered, "You picked up my call!"
"Look Chiyosuke, why did you call me?"
"Oh, I had to call you because I and Mizuhara-san are doing baseball tryouts at my house."
"Uhm, Chiyo-chan, I'm going to be really busy with my dad's job, so I'll be really late!"
"Well, I'm okay with that. Say, do you know where I live at?"
"Nah, I never got your address!"
"Well, I'm going to tell you my address."
Chiyo told Tomo her address, and the wildcat then dashed downstairs.
"Dad! I'm ready!" the wildcat shouted.
"Good!" Mr. Takino said as he gave Tomo some katsudon and castella cake, "Now, take this order to that table over there!"
"Okay, daddy!"
After a day of work, Tomo was running down the streets, trying to avoid the police at all costs. She then notices Yomi, who is now wearing a purple kimono over a lace shirt with some low pumps.
"Yomi!" Tomo shouted to her friend.
"Ah Tomo, you're just in time," Yomi said back, "So, you got Chiyo's address?"
"I sure did! And I bet other girls got the address as well!"
"Tomo…"
"Yeah, Yomi?"
"I didn't expect a lot of girls to be here and…"
"And what?"
"AND I DIDN'T EXPECT MIHAMOVSKY-SAN'S HOUSE TO BE THIS HUGE!"
The two girls looked at the large, European-styled mansion in front of them, which has a long line of girls on the outside.
"Geez, it's like the Winter Palace is rebuilt in Japan!" Tomo commented.
"Welp, let's go inside," Yomi said.
The two girls went inside the large mansion, with was a large palace on the inside.
"God, Chiyo-chan's won the game of life!" Tomo said.
"You say it, Tomo," Yomi said back.
"Takino-san! Mizuhara-san! You're here!" called Chiyo, who is now in a cute pink dress.
"Chiyo-chan!" the two older girls shouted back, running to the little girl.
"Whoa, I have never seen a kimono before! And it looks good on you, Takino-san," Chiyo commented on Tomo's clothes.
"Of course it does!" Tomo proudly said, "What can I say, yellow's a fitting color for me!"
"And Mizuhara-san, you look so elegant with the kimono over the lace shirt."
"Thanks, Mihamovsky-san," Yomi said as she gave Chiyo a melon, "So, where's the field?"
"Oh, it's at the back of my house!"
The three girls then want to the backyard, which is so huge that it could be mistaken for a baseball field.
"Whoa…" Tomo and Yomi uttered.
"Well then," Chiyo said, "Let's start the tryouts!"
After the long tryouts, in which none of the girls were able to qualify for the team, only two girls were left. Ayumu (who is now wearing a pink kimono with a frilly apron on top) and Kagura (who is now wearing a baggy purple robe over a navy blue bingata kimono).
"Welp I guess you two are our last hope!" Tomo said, "You, the one in the pink kimono! Get ready to bat!"
"Okie Dokie," Ayumu said as she grabs the stick that was a stand-in for a bat.
Yomi then pitched the piece of fruit that is a stand-in for a baseball, which Ayumu hits, and…
*CLANG*
Ayumu batted a flyball.
"Ayumu…" Tomo paused for a moment, "YOU'RE IN THE TEAM!"
"Ah am?" Ayumu was for a loss for words, "Yay…"
"Then what about me?" Kagura asked Tomo.
"Well, your strength alone is enough to tell me that you trying out for my-I mean-our team is unnecessary!" Tomo explained, "So, you're in the team!"
"So, you did the tryouts for nothing?!" Kagura shouted, "Geez, you're a moron!"
"Trust me, Kagura," Yomi said, "I had to suffer with Tomo for many years, so you got to get used to her and her idiocy."
Then, all of the girls giggled at Yomi's comment, which almost ticked her off, but she can't help but join along.
I allude to a small brown cat that will be important later on, so get extremely hyped! Also, Thomas the Tank Engine made a non-speaking cameo here.
