Their dad had accepted what they told him. But made sure they knew everything they should say.

"Remember that this is big news, it's alot for them to take in" the voice on the other end of the line said.

"Yeah, we know..."

"And I also want you all to come to us tomorrow after camping so that I can talk to them"

"Yes dad"

"Alright... If anything goes wrong, call me, okay?"

"Like what?" Asked Jon.

"If it doesn't go the way you expect, if they don't accept it for example."

"Yeah, okay dad, bye"

"Bye, love you, be careful"

The line cut of.

Jordan was once again looking towards the group seated around the fire. 'What the hell are we doing' he thought to himself.

"You ready?" came a voice from behind him, it was his brother. Jordan exhaled a breath he didn't know he had been holding.

"What if they look at us differently? Especially me, you can still pass as human. I'm a freak."

"Jordan, we've talked about this. You're not a freak. And also, if they have no problem with superman being an alien, why would they have a problem with us being half... aliens?" It was unusual to hear Jonathan use that word to describe what they were. It had just become a known fact that the word 'alien' was rarely mentioned in the Kent household. But Jordan knew it was true, that's what they were afterall.

"Because to them superman is a hero, someone they'll never really meet. We're their friends, Jon."

"You were the one who wanted to tell them. And besides, them being our friends is the reason to why we should tell them. You said it yourself; no more lies. I'm not very comfortable with this either, I'm literally shitting my pants-"

"Literally?" Jordan raised a playfull eyebrow.

"Okay, not literally, figuretively. But imagine when we can talk about all this openly, you know? You can talk about accidentally breaking three plates a week, hearing our neighbors having sex, even though they're miles away" Jordan made a disgusted face "or maybe complain about some alien rash on your left toe..."

"Jon"

"What?"

"Stop"

"Okay... you're right"

Jordan laughed. "You're right though, and there's no turning back now."

Jonathan nodded. "So... are you ready now?"

"No... but let's just get this over with."
