April 3rd, 2239, Within the White Fang outpost.Chira Silverback was leaning against the wall, She was a Captain in-charge of the outpost. "Captain." A White Fang grunt walked over and she noted a look of concern on his face.
"What is it?" She asked as she leaned off the wall, Taking him to her office.
"Those unknowns you had me kept an eye on… I managed to discover They have tanks, Aircraft and huge mechs." He said as she stopped with her door halfway open, She was thinking then at last she spoke.
"Send word back to Sienna Khan, Tell her we may have issues with these unknowns." She said as the Grunt snapped off a salute and ran all the while Chira was worried about the balance of power that existed so delicately had been upset by the arrival of these unknowns…
Kassadarl Village, Terran Imperial Supply base.Sarah was walking with Saline, Emily, Charlene, Vanessa and Valerian inspecting the Three Units she'd been sent, The Titans of the 95th are also at parade ground rest with their pilots out.
"I am Impressed by how quickly you whipped these men and women into shape, Vanessa." Sarah said as Vanessa smiled and bows before her friend.
"Lady Commander!" Captain Rylanor bolted over and knelt before his Princess, Making his report.
"We're detecting an unknown outpost nearby, Orders?" Sarah was thinking and then spoke.
"Prepare your forces, I want us ready for battle." Sarah ordered as she turned on her heels and barked out an Order.
"All Troops prepare for Combat, I want all of you to know The eyes of my family and the Empire is upon you, bring glory and honor to the Empire!" The Soldiers nod and head off, Getting into APCs or onto their Tanks, The Titans will be staying at Kassadarl to defend the Supply base…
Near the White Fang outpost, Sarah's position.Sarah arrived in the Jeep used by her and her teammates, Ahead she can hear the Sporadic sound of gunfire, It was a Common Terran tactic to send ahead Skirmishers to skirmish and probe the Enemy's defenses.
"Commander we're ready." Ice Reported even as Draco's Platoon was also left behind to defend the Supply base as well, Sarah nodded and took out her sword and stood atop a Tank.
"Men and Women of The Remnant Expeditionary Force!" She shouted, getting their Attention, Sarah felt nervous, This was her first real test but she carried on anyway.
"Today is our first time in combat, both yours and mine, many of you have doubts about me, This I can tell, But we're all sons and daughters of the Empire!" Sarah roared amidst Cheers from the Soldiers.
She continued looking over her soldiers. "I want all of you to make me proud…. Make my family proud, To battle and victory!" She yelled pointing towards the Outpost and the soldiers charged, The tank Sarah was standing on lurched forward, The Men and Women of the Sarah's 22nd Army group are now going to war…
Outside the Outpost's Exterior, Checkpoint Alpha.Glacier watched as Brown armored soldiers were firing at them from behind cover, Glacier's squad as well as a few other Squads were fighting back. That's when they heard a noise.
"What the fuck is that?!" One of the White Fang grunts pointed towards the Treeline, Hundreds of strange vehicles and Black armored soldiers charged forward, The vehicles were firing a round that when it made contact with their walls or the ground blew up, killing or wounding her fellow Faunus.
"Hold this line! They can't be allowed to break through!" Glacier shouted just then another noise made itself known the Unknowns were cheering and suddenly the White Fang looked up into the sky to see a shocking sight: The enemy had sky-borne soldiers.
The Grey armored soldiers landed and began fighting the White fang. It was in brutal hand-to-hand fighting, These guys were definitely human as Glacier could see the Enemy Commander is a human.
"Marines move up! Vanny takes the right flank! Dragos on me!" The enemy commander shouted even then, More of them came forward this time Great-coated and Gas Mask wearing soldiers charged forward. Their weapons had a bayonet underneath the Barrels. Suddenly the enemy's Commander was in front of Glacier, She knew that she needed to slay the Enemy's commander.
"Human." Glacier said as she circled around the girl, The girl had a Pistol in one hand and her sword in another hand.
"You know…. I have a name." The Girl said with a glare as she watched as her Allies were slowly pushing back the Enemy but casualties were heavy on both sides.
"Does it look like I care?" The Faunus Tiger snapped as She used her mace to hit the Girl's sword, The Girl parried the mace away from her, Before she spoke.
"My Name is Sarah Beatrice Smith, I am the Heir to the Terran Imperial Throne." The Girl now identified as 'Sarah' said even as she launched a furious attack, Sarah was adamant to arrest this person, As two fought the Outpouring of Negative Emotions attracted the Grimm but thankfully Sarah knew what to do, She has the 394th Terran Imperial Cavalry Corps on stand by, Alongside the 18th Clone Army Division, They counter-attack with Ferocity the Grimm hasn't expected.
"Wait, you knew the Grimm was coming?" Glacier asked, shocked even as Sarah back flipped away.
"Yeah, I kinda figured that the outpour of Negative energy would attract the Grimm, Which is still a new concept for us as Everywhere the Empire goes, Battles aren't interrupted by the Wildlife." Sarah said, hinting at the Inexperience of her people dealing with the Grimm subtly.
"You guys really are through when fighting two enemies." Glacier said as they clashed again, their weapons sparked, Sarah was pushed back even as she was taking into account some circumstances, Such as a massive flock of Nevermores that arrived overhead to batter the Two combatants, Only for Terran Exodus Fighters to take off from New Charleston and began a dogfight, The Terran Pilots were able to outmatch the Nevermores due to the Squadrons containing just 10-20 aircraft.
Sarah ducked as a Stray bullet from a Terran Machine gunner just about hit her. "This happens to my siblings all the damn time." Sarah said to Glacier as the battle turned into the favor of the Terrans, As More Tanks from the 901st Terran Guards Tank Corps joined the Battle but with Reavers Super-Heavy tanks.
"Holy shit, What the hell are those?!" A White Fang Grunt shouted as Sarah looked over and was stunned.
"I didn't think they would be completed at all." Sarah said over the comms as she slammed her shoulder into Glacier's midriff after forcing her guard down.
"What do you mean?" Glacier asked, her Aura was down by 25 Percent, Sarah's armor was cracked but still repairable.
Sarah looked at Glacier and spoke. "Those are Reaver Class Super-Heavy Tanks, Father told me about them. They were delayed but I think it was a lie." She said as She finally injured Glacier, causing the Faunus to fall down, Bleeding from her side.
"S-so…. This is the end." Glacier said only to be stunned when a Terran Medic rushed over to begin treating her, She locked eyes with Sarah.
"Why?" Glacier asks as Sarah knelt down, Taking the Tiger Fananus's hand before speaking.
"You aren't animals, I can tell you're a prideful race and you guys are being mistreated, I want to extend an offer to those of you who wish to join The Terran Imperial Military to share your stories of what's happening here." Sarah said as Glacier noticed she wasn't lying, She was being truthful.
"Commander, We found the Officer in charge, She surrendered and wished to speak to you." The Officer said as Sarah nods and smiles at Glacier.
"I'll see you Later…. I never caught your name." Sarah said as Glacier tried to smile but winced in pain before she finally spoke.
"My name is Glacier Softheart." Glacier said as Sarah nodded and went off just as a Terran Marine medic spoke.
"You're damned lucky It was Sarah, She's naive but kind." The Medic said as Glacier looked at him as.
"Is she always like this?" She asked as another Marine medic tending to her fallen Comrades shook her head.
"Fuck if I know, We recently started to work with her." The medic said Terran Marines were leading 1,000 White Fang Troops prisoners into captivity…
Qrow's Perch Near the now claimed White Fang outpost.Qrow watched as the Terrans escorted both their dead and wounded as well as White Fang killed and wounded as well as Shepherding the Captured Prisoners. Qrow decided to pretend to be a bird and flew close to a Terran Marine trooper who was having lunch from his Mess kit. That's when a Sergeant walked over.
"Paul, You want some company?" The Marine named Paul nodded and spoke.
"Yeah, Sarge, I was talking to Charlotte, Tending to Mason, He might not make it unless he's taken to the Field Hospital on Terra." Paul said and this worried the Sergeant as he took a sip out of his canteen.
"The Emperor is coming to discuss some things with Sarah as is the Empress, Honestly? Sarah did well. She didn't crack under pressure, Which was good." He said as the man stood up and looked at Paul.
"I've put you in for a Promotion and a medal, Keep up the good work…. Corporal." Paul choked on his food, Sure he earned the Promotion but a Medal? He didn't deserve it, He felt like he didn't.
He then spoke. "Sarge I don't deserve it." The Sergeant took off his helmet revealing a man in his early thirties, He put his hand on Paul's shoulder.
"It doesn't matter, You caught Vanessa's Attention, We all know the Princess and don't usually do this." The Man said as the sergeant left leaving Paul with his thoughts as Qrow leaves, He noticed Sarah and Vanessa talking.
"Delta Squad just arrived, With the Reinforcements Father sent to us we're too roughly 2.3 Million troops." Sarah said as Vanessa nodded and leaned against a Terran Tank.
"Perhaps we should be mindful of the Wildlife and the Environment if we're to have peaceful relationships with the Locals." Vanessa said even as Sarah nodded and then spoke.
"I have no illusion that the Pilots Angelica and Samson Rivers informed me of a house nearby, I want you and a Small squad to patrol around the area of their house and then report back."
Vanessa nods and salutes, She grabs Echo Squad from the 145th and then heads out to see who they can rustle up…
Patch, On top of the Arcanus Class Command Tank, "Divine Approach."
Vanessa watched as Members from Rancor, Gypsy and Alpha Companies were approaching Patch, Tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers, Moved her Force codenamed Task Force 20, She has 200 Soldiers, 20 Tanks and APCs.
"Lt. Commander there's a house up ahead." A soldier reported as Vanessa nodded.
"Must belong to one of the Locals, Stop here, India Squad, On me." The Squad jumped off of the Divine Approach and began walking their Pulse Rifles out and aimed in every direction…
Outside the Xiao Long Household, With Ruby and Yang.Ruby and Yang were discussing Beacon Academy and Yang's Enrollment when They heard a Voice. "Excuse me." The voice was Female and when they looked over they saw Men and Women in strange armor and holding high-tech Weaponry.
"Who are you?" Ruby asked edging for Crescent Rose as a Soldier aimed his weapon towards the Skies and then he spoke.
" , Looks like the Navy has arrived." He said just as 2 Battleships, Five Cruisers, 15 destroyers and 20 Corvettes arrived within Renmant's Skies.
"Whoa…." Ruby said, watching in awe at the Sudden appearance of Naval Warships but Yang recognized it.
"You guys are…." She didn't need to say it, Her father came out and stared at the Ships and the Troopers who were here.
"We're a space faring race? Yes we are, However Crown Princess Sarah Beatrice Smith wishes to speak to you." The officer said as Ruby and Yang were stunned alongside Tai Yang who then spoke.
"I can tell you're quite new to command, How old are you? And What's your name?" Tai asked as The Girl turned around and took off her Helmet.
"I am Lieutenant Commander Vanessa "Vanny" O'Howard, And I am Sixteen Standard Years old." Vanessa said as They stared in shock.
"Oh my Oum, You are quite young for Military Service." Vanessa nods somewhat as a Friend rather than a stranger.
"Lt. Commander, Lady Sarah is requesting your Presence back at base." A Lieutenant said as Vanessa nods and looks towards them.
"Follow me, I want to introduce you guys to Sarah, She's the Overall Imperial Commander of this world and is the Heir to the Throne." Vanessa said as they entered an APC and headed to Kassadarl Village…
Kassadarl Village, Within its Walls.The APC carrying Ruby, Yang and Taiyang as well as Vanessa stops in a Vehicle depot, As the Natives of Remnant stepped out, They were in awe as they watched Engineers working on repairs to Tanks, Mechs and to a lesser extent The Bombers and Starfighters of The Terran Imperial 109th Starfighter Regiment with 140 Starfighters and 140 Bombers under its Command, The Regiment was underneath the Command of Major General Parker Salvatore.
"Vanessa." A Half-Dragon, Half- Human soldier walked over with Sergeant Chevrons on his Pauldrons said as he Saluted.
"Draco, Me and Sarah have told you countless times, You don't have to salute us." Vanessa said to him while Ruby and Yang were staring in awe at him, Draco noticed this and smiled before Speaking.
"I am Sergeant Draco, I am part of Orion Squad, I am Sarah's number one Sergeant to help her lead the Entire Division, Dragos is the Standard Bearer for the Entire Regiment, Icepick is currently leading an Excursion towards a Spring so the Colony'll have a reliable source of power." Draco said as he looked behind him.
"Speaking of Ice, He's back and looking mighty Hungry." Draco said as Ice walked by the group heading towards the Mess Hall, Talking with a few of his men.
Draco looks at Vanessa and smirks. "Sarah is talking to a few people, You might wanna see who it is." He said as he walked away and Vanessa turned around before speaking.
"Follow me." Vanessa replied as she walked with Ruby, Yang and Taiyang walked with her, Seeing a Girl around Vanessa's age talking to two Adults, as they get closer they hear the girl speak.
"Mom, Dad I am aware of my orders, But I did creative interpretations, And besides this Village was full of Non-combatants." The girl said as the man spoke.
"Perhaps Sarah, however We're not here to censor you." This confused the girl now identified as 'Sarah' to The Remnant natives.
"We're here to tell you, we're proud of you." He said as Sarah smiled and then spoke.
"Thanks Mom, Dad." Sarah said as she hugged them, The embrace made her parents happy, Then Vanessa cleared her throat catching her Best friend off guard.
"Sarah, My Lord and Lady, I wish to introduce Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long and Taiyang Xiao Long." Vanessa said as Sarah bows a bit in Respect alongside her parents.
"Welcome to the Kassadarl Village, I'm Sarah Beatrice Smith, I am the Crown Princess of the Empire and Lady Commander of the Terran Imperial Military." Sarah greeted warmly as Her parents smiled and introduced themselves.
"I am Johnathan, I'm the father of five children including this amazing Badass." Johnthan said, making The Teenager blush and she whined.
"Daaad I want to be a normal girl and not just your amazing badass daughter." Sarah said pouting a bit, causing Everyone to laugh, It was rare to see Sarah flustered even by Royal Standards.
"Well, I am Elizabeth, You can just call me Lizze." Elizabeth said as she smiles this moment was nice even if Sarah doesn't admit it as well, But Elizabeth and the rest of the family knew she doesn't show her true emotions around anyone except her friends and family.
"Well, Sarah me and your mother shall head out." Johnathan said as he enters a Transport to take them back to New Charleston…
Meanwhile on Theta Ender, Approaching the Research Base.Aaron was watching as Terran Troops dug in, His forces have been trading fire with the Undead forces, The Research center was nearby, It was where the undead were created by an Unknown Race during the Ancient times, Now Imperial Forces is going to end the threat once and for all, Inside is also a library of every Undead Kingdom and it's Empire's location everything every Imperial Force will crack down hard upon the undead.
"My lord." A Gene-warrior walked over, He was his Second in Command Black Methos, His Gene-warriors wore Dark Red Armor, Aaron smiled at his Best Friend, The Two men Grew up together and both men were notably close.
"Yes?" Aaron said as he noted his Best friend Kneeling before him as is protocol.
"We've found an Ancient ruin containing an ancient Language, Carbon dating puts it during the Prehistoric Era." Aaron knew what that meant: This planet is 1600 Years old, Way before the Rise of The Celestian and Terran Empires.
"Have a Science Team come down here, And have a Linguistics team come as well."
Methos nods and as he leaves Aaron looks at a Picture of him and Willow at age 8 playing with each other before Sarah's birth, They were playing when a Servant fetched them and told them Their mother was giving birth to their new sibling, He will never forget that day for a single moment Even as the sounds of battle echo near his position…
Inside the House Sarah and her friends live in, The Kitchen.
Sarah is cooking some food. She was making a small lunch Which consisted of: Terran Steak, Fish, even some chicken, Hamburgers and several other foods. Sarah wasn't alone, Valerian, Vanessa, Ice, Dragos and a few others were helping with Cooking.
"Damn, Babe you outdid yourself." Val said as she made a beautifully well-cooked Steak, Which was topped with Celery, carrots and some mashed potatoes.
"Thanks." Sarah looked over to see Dragos and Ice having some beer while flipping the Hamburgers, Vanessa was cooking the Fish and Chicken with her Family's recipe which everyone enjoyed, Except for her Guests, Ruby walked in talking to a Marine Cook when she stopped, Her mouth watering from the amount of different foods.
"Wow, You guys are excellent cooks!" She said as Sarah smiled and watched as Robots were bringing the food out now.
"The Marine Cooks will take over guys." Sarah said as everyone nods and heads into the Dining Room….
The Dining Room, 11:20 AM.Everyone was chatting and laughing, Sarah especially was enjoying it, Talking with friends, Meeting new people, And having food and drink was enjoyable. Ice was a bit tipsy but Dragos was drunk and his speech was slurred causing a few members of the 145th to take him somewhere to sober up.
"This is a feast!" Vanessa exclaimed being nearest to her Friend and Sarah nodded.
"Yep, It is." Taiyang said as he looked around the Villagers were also partaking in the event, there was song and dancing as Pilots, Tank Crews, and so many Soldiers were either eating, drinking or Dancing.
The 389th Grenadiers were also eating and drinking, Somewhat in a good mood despite the fact they believed They commited a Sin in the eyes of Arcanus and Irene.
"Commander!" A Messenger shouted kneeling before Sarah as she stood up.
"Easy, easy soldier take a breath, WATER NOW!" Sarah bellowed as a Soldier threw a water bottle towards Sarah who caught it in midair and handed it to the drank it slowly before finally able to make his report.
"Lord Aaron's forces have reported finding Xenos ruins on Theta Ender, Carbon Dating puts it at 1600 years old." The soldier said as Ice who was drinking some Sprite choked on it, spitting it out and looking at him, And not just Ice but also every Terran Present who heard this news.
"Holy Mother of Irene….." Sarah said as she looked at her friends, each of them coming to the exact same conclusion: The Prehistory of Hellas Galaxy.
Issy and Lewellin who just walked in, Were confused.
"Uhhhh…." Issy said snapping Most if not all out of their stupor.
"Lew, Issy I'll debrief you and your Men later." Vanessa said as she noticed Sarah was still stunned as Issy and Lew nodded, The two of them headed to go check in with their respective units.
"Is she alright?" Yang asked an Terran Army Trooper who nodded.
"Shocked more like it, The Prehistory of our Galaxy is entirely unknown beyond what Records Imperial Scholars of Celestian Imperial Empire and Later our Empire managed to piece together." This stuned the Natives who never KNEW about this before, Yang for the most part was interested, Ruby was literally salivating like a dog who thought of cool weapons, Tai for the most part was writing down Information that Sarah has divulged so far or even Terran Soldiers.
"Yo." A Civilian said walking over or at least Taiyang thought was a Civilian, He noticed the Man was wearing Brown Robes and had boots on, He also had a mace on his side.
"Who are you?" Taiyang asked as the Two of them walked by a Terran Archives room, Taiyang noted it also doubled as a School, Both Remnant young and Terran children were all present, But the Man kept walking as a Fellow friend nodded and the Man entered into his Office and sat down.
"I am Head Scribe Quinlan, Of The Blades of Irene."
This caught Taiyang's Attention especially when he saw Two members wearing Purple Armor holding onto weapons he had never seen before.
"These are Blade Knights, They're the mainstay of Our Order, Often sent to areas where Secrecy is most important, But they're widely known throughout the Empire as the 'Scalpel of Irene' And her Royal Princess is the Next Grandmistress in-line to Lead the Blades."
Taiyang nods any information he gets now will aid Ozpin in deciding to Ally with them.
"In-fact Sarah is planning on a Cultural Exchange to promote understanding between The Empire and the People of Remnant." Quinlan said as Taiyang wrote that in, Quinlan stood up and handed him a Book titled "The History of the Empire and The Smith Family."
Taiyang noticed how elegant the book looks. The Imperial Peregrine is on the Front and on the Back one of the 15 Maxims of Irene.
"Let the enemy come to you and deny them the battle the enemy desperately craves." Taiyang read aloud, confused by the meeting to which Quinlan noted.
"Irene was around Lady Sarah's age when she fought in the War, It's been a tradition by this point." Quinlan said as Taiyang nodded and stood up, The Two men shaking hands, unaware their talks would serve to embolden Salem and her Grimm…
Outside of Kassadarl Village.A Marine patrol was walking. It was nearing 4:30 PM and the sun was dipping downwards, The Marines were talking about home. "Sarge what about you?" One of the Soldiers asked the 56 Years old even as The Troopers were on high alert the Squad was somewhat relaxed due to the fact an Titan and it's Pilot were attached to the Patrol.
"Well, I have a daughter who's in High School. She's a sophomore, My Eldest Daughter is on the ISS Azton and recently wrote to me that she's being deployed here." The Sergeant said as the soldiers nodded somberly ever since the Beginning of Imperial Expansion efforts.
Numerous worlds were either colonized, Conquered or habitats were built, Many Mega shipyards and megastructures were built following the Wars that were launched, The Sergeant enlisted when he was 19 years old and Fresh out of high school and he had seen it all, He saw everything the galaxy threw at him, He saw defeat and Victories but most importantly: He fought underneath Irene's Banner, He was an Celestian, And he married a Terran After his service was up, He fought during the Civil Wars that Tore both Celestian and Terrans Apart.
He brutally killed those Terrans and Celestians who betrayed the Empire, It was horrific to the 19 years old at the time but as time went on, He kinda clamped down on his anger towards his own comrades and actually partaken in many bloody, Brutal reprisals.
'Least Sarah isn't ready to learn about that…. Us Celestians Hold Loyalty as an Essential value' He thought somewhat pointedly before seeing Hellish eyes looking at He and his Men the Troopers were green but not the Sergeant and his Corporal.
"Men, back up slowly, do not panic." He ordered as the Titan 'Divine Furious' Backed up too, It's Pilot able to see a Massive horde of Grimm so she gets on the radio.
"All Commands this is Divine Furious, Me and Patrol Alpha are seeing a huge fucking horde of Grimm, Over." The Female Pilot said as she got down from the Titan, It's AI still moving backwards with the Squad and the Pilot.
The Radio Crackled to life as Sarah's voice came over. "Command Copies all, Get out of there now." The Troopers started to back track even quicker which caused the Grimm mostly Ursas and Beowolves to charge.
"OPEN FIRE!" The Sergeant barked out as Automatic bullets began tearing into the Charging monstrosities.
"All Commands be advised, Grimm are charging after us, Man the Trenches over!" The Sergeant shouted over the Radio, The Pilot of Divine Furious, Mounted back up and was firing rockets from her Titan's Chassis.
"Roger that, The Trenches and Pillboxes have been manned, Get back here 1-2." An Officer took over for Sarah as she was on the frontline…
Trenchline Alpha, 5:10 PM.Sarah was in the Trenches, Her Armor having been lovingly repaired by the finest Artians from the Empire and Sarah noted with disdain that It was a huge fucking horde, A Minigunner stood next to Sarah she had her hand up, Indicating to wait, Next to her was Taiyang, Ruby and Yang, Vanessa was taking the Left flank, Ice the Right flank.
"Steady, Everyone…. Steady…" Sarah said as Dragos stood next to his Commander, Fearless of what's coming.
Soon the Grimm horde closed far enough for her troops to fire. "OPEN FIRE!" Sarah shouted over the comms, Artillery batteries were the first to open fire, High Explosive Shells raining down upon the Grimm, Machine gunners and Infantrymen fired, Focusing down on the most important of the Grimm.
"Commander, The Navy is about to join the Battle, With Several Heavy Bombers." Serina reported as Sarah ducked down to avoid a Claw from a Beowolf, Clipping a few of her hairs off.
"Roger that." Sarah said as she slammed her sword into the creature's neck as she fought, She realized the Melee phase of the battle was dangerous to say the least but she was actually scared,
