"Oh lord..." said Chip from inside the wolf's den as she returned. "I hope Belle got my message."
He watched in disgust as she regurgitated bits of meat for her pups one by one.
She then walked over to Chip and regurgitated another piece of meat.
"No thank you."
She then began to groom the pups one by one.
After she was done grooming the pups, she began to groom Chip.
"No... please stop..."
She started kissing his face. The smell of her breath reminded him of Frou-Frou, the castle dog, as his breath smelled just the same.
Chip let out a loud laugh, just as he always did whenever Frou-Frou kissed his face.
...
"Oh, he must be so scared. Come on, LeFou, we have to find him!"
"I hope the wolf hasn't already eaten him."
And the two ventured into the woods to find Chip, as the pup followed them close behind.
"Wait..." said Belle. "Wolves make dens for their young, which means the wolf that took Chip is a mother." Belle snapped her fingers. "LeFou, the wolf that took Chip is this pup's mother!"
"And if we return her to her mother, it won't eat—
"Don't you see, LeFou? The wolf doesn't want to eat him. He's a replacement for the pup she lost!"
"Oh..."
Belle looked into the pup's eyes.
"Take us to your mother."
