Tsarist Russia / St. Petersburg / Dining Room / June 29, 1914
Tsar Nicholas II sat with his family in the dining room at the U-table, eating while watching his families. To his right sat his wife Alexander, and to his left sat his eighteen-year-old son, the heir to the throne Alexander.
On the left sat his daughters Olga, Tatiana, Marie and Anastasia.
And on his right sat his second son, and the second on the throne, Alexei. Unfortunately, Hemophilia was diagnosed after birth. And even that disease cannot cure magic.
Yes, magic, you see, every royal family in the world is magical, and therefore, when Magic appeared to his son Alexander, every other family would send him to a magic school, but not Roman's. It is a tradition that the magical heir of the royal family is taught only at home. That's why they hired all the best teachers they could afford, and it immediately became clear what he had a talent for.
Within a few years, he had learned so much language that it was not possible. He speaks German, English, Russian, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish.
But he is not the only magical member of the Romanov family. Every child of Nicholas is magical, and it hasn't happened for a long time that every child is magical.
When they were on holiday in Spain in 1910, Alexander and the daughter of the King of Spain immediately fell in love. And then they both persuaded their fathers to write a contract between their wives. So the heir to the throne of Russia already has a marriage contract.
But Nicholas was not lazy either, and he passed one reform after another.
The first reform is a comparison of living standards between ordinary people and the rich. And it works. This reform introduced the same laws for both ordinary citizens and the rich. And he set the same tax for everyone.
Then he started building new schools, factories and farms. So that every citizen has a job and something to eat.
Then there was the reform of the army, the soldiers are given modern rifles, bought from Germany, and its production begins. Airships are modified for war. The modernization of military doctrine and the military begins.
And then in 1904, the Russo-Japanese War began. It lasted until 1905, and thanks to all the reforms of the army, the Russians won the war and annexed the whole of Japan, along with Korea.
But he was still worried about what awaited them in a few years. Because he remembered his dream very well, that the First World War had begun, in 1914. And the fact that he had joined that war, along with his allies, had destroyed his country.
And so he immediately canceled his alliance with France and Great Britain, and declared independence. And he said he would only go to war if an attack on his land was launched. And as soon as Russia fell out of the alliance with France and Great Britain, Norway, Denmark and Sweden joined their alliance.
But he also began executing all those responsible for the murder of his family.
The opening of the dining room door led him out of his thoughts, and a soldier who had his family as their bodyguards entered the room.
"What is it ?" Nikolas asked, noticing that his family was paying attention too.
"I'm sorry to disturb you," the soldier said. "But we have received news that the heirs to the Austrian throne were assassinated in Sarajevo yesterday," the soldier continued, in his report.
"Okay, report again when something new happens," I said, and the soldier nodded and left. And he started having breakfast, like his family. And he waited for something to go wrong.
And this happened a month later, when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. And the chain reaction began. Germany declared war on France and Serbia. After that, Germany attacked neutral Belgium, and this pushed Britain into the war. After a few days, Denmark, Sweden and Norway joined the war.
Today, inside Nikolas's office, there is a soldier, asking what they will do now.
"Nothing, we won't do anything," Nikolas said after thinking for a moment. "Our country is not yet capable of waging war. So we will just send or sell weapons to them," Nikolas finished his sentence.
"Yes, my lord," said the soldier, saluting and leaving.
When the soldier left, Nikolas leaned back in his chair and thought, "Europe is going to war."
