You return to your home and help your mother in the kitchen.

You talk about various things, but eventually, you're sent to bed without eating. You have plans to spend the evening outside with Ruby, which you don't want to be late for. The next day, you wake up and do your routine of heading to school early.

You half expect Ruby to be there as well, but she isn't. You decide that you'll talk to her after class. classroom- You enter the classroom and take your seat, which is beside Ruby.

"Hey, mind if I sit next to you?" Ruby asks, sliding into the seat beside you.

"Sure." You say.

"So, how's your sister?" Ruby asks.

"She's good, she says you're nice to talk to."

"Ah, this is a good start. So, she doesn't get into too much trouble?"

"Not unless I let her, which honestly isn't that often."

"Ah, y'know I was talking to your sister before and she mentioned that you were a good guy that kept her out of trouble."

"Yeah, Ruby's a pretty good person." You say with a smile.

The teacher enters the room and begins calling roll. As usual, you don't know most of the people in the class, apart from Ruby of course.

"So, mind if I ask what you're doing after school?" Ruby asks.

"I dunno, I was thinking maybe we could go get a soda or something."

"Sounds good to me, so what's your food?" You tell Ruby what you'd like to order and she agrees.

The rest of the class passes by relatively quickly. Once it's over you're free to go, but you have detention, which means you'll have to spend the rest of the afternoon inside.

"Hey, we could still go get that soda after all."

"Yeah, might as well."

"I wonder if they have a specific room for detentions." Ruby says with a smirk.

"Is that right?"

"Yup, Come on."

The two of you exit the classroom and make your way to the office. When you arrive you're told to wait and take a seat. About twenty minutes later the office finally opens up and the principal stands there, with an angry look on his face. He looks at both you and Ruby and glares at you.

"Hello Mr..."

"Detention for both of you until the end of the week."

"But..."

"No excuses, class is over."

The two of you are profuse in your apologies as you leave the office.

"Well that was a mess." Ruby says.

"You can say that again." You say.

"Do you think you'll get it? I mean, I know we paid..."

"It's fine, just let's just go do something."

You and Ruby part ways and you're free to go. Just in time too, since you have a few hours to kill before you need to be home. You decide to go back home and see your mom, maybe after a long talk, you'll feel better about everything. Your walk back home is uneventful, though along the way you do see a few people giving you dirty looks. You have no idea if they're there for you or Ruby, but you decide to ignore it. On your way, you also see a newsstand and decide to buy a few things to help take your mind off of things. You buy two packs of coke, both orange flavor.

One for you and one for Ruby.

You then buy a book and see if you can't take your mind off of sex for a while. When you arrive back at the apartment, Ruby is there, but she doesn't look very happy.

"Oh hey hurry up and get inside, we're being watched right now!" Ruby says.

"What do you mean?"

"There's a camera right here in the hallway, hurry up and go check if you don't believe me."

"Oh come on..." You go check, and sure enough, there is a camera in the hallway.

You doubt it's on you, but you don't want to take chances.

"Alright, don't say we didn't warn you."

Ruby says as she heads into your room. You enter your room and see Ruby sitting on your computer chair with her legs tucked under her.

"What's going on?" You ask.

"It's what's going on with us, our relationship is being watched and they want to know what we're doing."

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Because it's not bad, we could deal with it."

"I dunno Ruby."

"Wait, just hear me out!" Ruby says while getting off of the chair and walking towards you.

"Let me guess, there's a hidden camera in here as well?" You ask.

"How did you know?" Ruby asks in surprise.

"I would be surprised if there wasn't one in here, they've got some nerve calling us leeches when they're just as bad."

Ruby starts to nervously laugh, then goes into a coughing fit.

"Why are you laughing?" You ask.

"Do you really think we're being watched?" Ruby asks.

"I don't know, are we?"

"Come on, we should really check."

Without another word, Ruby heads into the bathroom.
