The Tale of Man's Fall and the Birth of Hellfire

Later the Light demanded that the Darkness make the world harsher so the creatures that were the early forms of man would not conquer the world. So the Darkness created cliffs, mountains of fire, rumbling earth, twisting winds, and vicious storms that swept across the land tearing mighty trees from the ground and leveling mountains. The humans begged the two to save them; they begged for forty days before the Darkness convinced the Light to forgive the humans. The Light demanded that the disasters that the Darkness created would remain but would be random so that neither the Light nor the Darkness could be blamed for the damage caused.

The Light then created specific animals and berries to woo the humans into obeying it. The Darkness jealous of the human's newfound love for the Light changed the animals to have horns, claws, and fangs to defend themselves and made some of the berries poisonous. Eventually, the female who had chosen the name Eve gave birth to two sons who she named Cain and Abel. Both of the boys left and used the world around them to survive.

Cain became a farmer harvesting grain and berries while Abel became a shepherd. They both made a sacrifice to the Light who accepted Abel's sacrifice and rejected Cain's. Cain who was hurt by the Light's favoritism gave his sacrifice to the Darkness who happily accepted Cain's sacrifice. However, the Darkness soon learned that he was the second pick and anger began to cloud the Darkness' mind which infected Cain causing him to go into a rage and kill Abel. Disgusted by Cain's actions the Light cast Cain into Hell and set fire to Hell to punish him. The Darkness couldn't cool the rage that sparked the fires and so Hell continues to burn to this day. Eve later gave birth to other children who are the ancient ancestors of most races; their descendants would create new stories later in their lives.
