All Sophie could hear was her heart beat and her thoughts. How the fuck is this possible? Julie confirmed the DNA on the plane. She died in that plane. She died. She is dead. "We need to get this to your father ASAP...Mary? MARY?

Mary was being swarmed by her own thoughts until Sophie shook her into reality. "Ok...I'll give it to him tomorrow morning. Alice should probably know. She may be of some assistance unfortunately," she said wiping her tears. "You really think it could be her?"

Looking down at the paper Sophie whispered, "I don't know. It could be Ka..Kate, but it wasn't *her.* She didn't hesitate to pull that trigger, so I don't know who or what she became if she has been the assassin this whole time. We owe it to her to see if she is though."

Imagining how warped Kate would be if it was her, it sent chills down Mary's spine and flashbacks to when Kate talked about Beth turning into Alice. "I want to hold off on telling my dad about this. We have to be sure."

"Ok," Sophie said without any hesitation or opposition. "My guess is that she will try to kill him again so I will be more prepared this time. Tell Batwoman to get a stun gun ready. I can't take her back to Crows HQ but the cave of her's may contain Ka...whoever it is long enough to get some answers.

"On it," Mary said as she stood up and began to walk out the room

"Mary"

Mary paused, "yeah?"

"As horrible as it sounds, I hope it is Kate. She would at least be... alive."

"I was thinking the same thing," Mary said softly without looking at Sophie the she continued her walk out the door leaving Sophie all by herself with her hopes, thoughts, and feelings. Although not idea, Mary needed to tell Luke immediately to start formulating a plan.

Not but 1 hour later, Sophie was back at the mobster's apartment surveying to make sure that the guy was still alive which he luckily was to Sophie's astonishment. Sophie stayed in her car this time and used infrared cameras to stake out the apartment. It was already 2am and Sophie's eyelids were falling heavy.

"Don't tell me the Crows can't pull all nighters." Said a sudden voice from outside Sophie's window.

Sophie pulled her weapon so fast, even Batwoman was a bit shocked at the speed.

"Hey, hey, hey, same team - sort of, but not really." Baton wan said with her hands sarcastically raised as if she wasn't bulletproof.

Sophie said nothing and rolled her eyes as she lowered her gun. As she rolled her eyes, she noticed another heat signature on the screen. "Shit. She's back." Sophie got out of the car and noticed the shadow jumping down from the roof. "You have that stun gun right?"

"No, Luke was worried that if it was Kate, she would know all the old tech so he made a new high tech tranquilizers that will tag her and knock her out."

"Great, go use it then before she adds another body count to her," said Sophie.

~15 minutes later

"Your ex is being a bit of a pain in the ass right now. I could use some back up right now Moore!" Batwoman said with a strained breath.

Sophie ran up the stairs to see Batwoman restraining the assassins *barely* but unable to actually get a clear shot. So Sophie did the next best thing: she hit the woman with the butt of her gun then took the tranquilizer gun from Batwoman's holster and held it into the assassins neck before pulling the trigger.

"Goddamn that girl is skilled," said Batwoman trying to catch her breath.

"Yeah..." is all Sophie could say as she fireman carried the assassin to her car.
