Prompt: "Is she really just a friend?"
Scarlett's POV
Their relationship was fairly new but Scarlett really wasn't the type to get jealous. She thought jealousy was disgusting and stupid...clingy was another adjective she had never used to describe herself.
"I can't believe some guy has turned me into a puppy. Ugh, what the hell?" The blonde wrinkles her nose at the thought of what she described but knew that Morgan Corinthos wasn't just your typical run-of-the-mill fuckboy. In fact, he had never played with her emotions...not even once. Shocking. Right? What brought on this self evaluation you ask? Seeing his ex wife...Kiki Jerome. Scarlett saw the way the pair laughed and shared inside jokes, how they weren't the least bit awkward with the other...it left an uneasy feeling in her stomach.
"I don't want to lose him." She says to herself, barely speaking above a whisper. Scarlett sits in the living room of Morgan's apartment on the couch, looking down at her freshly painted nails as the sun begins to set through the large picture window...the young woman not noticing the darkness setting in. At least not from outside.
Morgan's POV
"What a day." He mutters leaving his father's warehouse, starting up his dark blue mustang...all he wanted to do was go home and cuddle with his girl. About ten minutes later he arrives at his apartment building and locks his car, strolling into the reception area, nodding at the receptionist in the lobby and disappearing onto the elevator. Soon enough he was unlocking the door, breathing in a sigh of relief.
"How was your day?" Came a gruff reply making him jump as he hit his head on the wall.
"Scar, I didn't see you there. Sheesh, give a guy a heads up." Morgan winced, rubbing his head as he felt a knot forming.
"Please say she's just a friend." Scarlett bit her lip, not being able to beat around the bush anymore.
"Who, Kiki?" Morgan erupts into laughter.
"I don't see anything funny." Scarlett shot a grimace in his direction.
"Baby, Kiki will always be the first woman I ever loved-we were each other's first everything but, nothing with us ever stuck. Michael has always had her heart, not me. You have my heart, I hope you know that." Morgan sighs, striding over to the couch, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"That's all I needed to hear. Thank you." Her baby blues met his chocolate orbs in relief.
"Always.."
