True Love hidden by an Unspeakable Truth
No one's POV:
"Excuse me? I thought I had made it clear that breaks and days off are very limited. Besides we do not have time to laze around. Being in top condition and better is what's most important." Yukina stated clearly with enough authority to shut down an argument the other person may have. Although it seemed Lisa (obviously) has more to say.
"Well...our guitarist is out of commission and her sister was just sent to the hospital as a bloody mess. I don't know when Sayo will be feeling better, but hopefully it's whenever Hina wakes up. It also explains why you saw Tsugumi crying on me just a while ago before you approached me"
A long conversation from the classroom we were standing in to their respectives homes, which was right next to each other. Yukina and Lisa discussed future plans for band practices and Roselia as a whole. With the way Sayo is and the only one who could match her in skill is Hina. With one of them entering a state of depression and the other being hospitalized. Learning to adjust without a guitarist would prove to be difficult. Yukina and Lisa decided that individual practices would be the best option until Sayo and Hina are feeling well again.
A few days later, Sayo finally opened her eyes to a dark room. Or rather it was the middle of the night. A pain ran through her head as she fell onto the floor. "I'm sorry...Hina..." Tears form again as she passes out again.
Sayo POV:
*Knock knock*
This annoying sound. I groan as a pick myself up off the...floor? I walk over to my door and slowly open it. A face that's all too familiar, Lisa Imai. "Thank goodness you're awake." The expression on my face doesn't change.
"What do you want?" I asked in a harsh tone.
"Straight to the point, huh? Your parents said that you'd been asleep for the past few days.
"You say I haven't woken up, but my room is an absolute mess."
"While you were still asleep, your parents said that you did wake up, then you destroyed your room in a fit of rage. They tried to calm you down, but your temper was a little too much for them. It seems that the state Hina is in affected you rather intensely." After hearing that name, my mind snapped a little. I shoved her out of my room that had her crashing into the wall behind her. I slammed the door as hard as I could and locked it.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!"
"Sayo! Please come out! I didn't mean to make you upset. Please Sayo!" Her desperate cries were deafened. All I could hear with my sobs and the faint voice of my younger twin. She just kept saying my name as if to patronize me. I didn't want this. I never wanted this. I just wanted to have Hina stay by my side, not suddenly leave it! My sobs continued to get louder as to the point of screaming. Before darkness took over again, a high pitched scream escaped my throat that almost shattered the window. If I could have 1 wish to end this horrifying darkness of loneliness, it would be to have my sister back right now.
Kasumi POV:
The last time I had seen Sayo, it was picking her up in the restroom at school...and that was a week and a half ago. I didn't think that Hina being like this would've affected her this much.
"Kasumi, are you alright? You seem to be spacing out." All eyes turned to me as I snapped back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, sorry about that Saya" A long pause happened before I spoke up again. "I think we should hold off practice for a day." All of them seemed to turn to me in surprise, with Arisa and O-Tae instantly relaxing after that.
"Are you sure about this Kasumi? It seems kinda odd for you to suddenly announce a break."
"Well, everyone deserves a break from something. Besides it seems that all of you seem to have started relaxing already." I pointed towards O-Tae, Rimi and Arisa and all of them were huddled up on the couch snoozing. Saya and I both exchanged brief smiles before Saya went to grab a nearby blanket to cover them. I told Saya that I wanted to get some fresh air and asked if she wanted to accompany me. She declined as she decided to sit down and rest a little bit as well. When I walked outside, I saw the stars and started to reminisce. I pulled out my phone and dialed a number.
"Hello?"
"Hi Lisa!"
"Oh hey, Kasumi. Didn't expect a call from you at this hour. Are you still practicing right now?"
"We finished early and now the girls are taking a break. I also suggested we take a day off and some of them decided to take a nap."
'Haha, that sounds like a fun time. Anyway, is there a reason you called or do you just want a new voice to talk to?"
"That would be a nice change of pace, I called you so we could hang out tomorrow if you're available."
"With Yukina having individual practices, I should have time to spend with a friend tomorrow. Sure, I'll accept your offer to hang out."
"Great!"
"Also speaking of Yukina, you might see her pop in or already be at my house tomorrow."
"Why do you say that? Do you and Yukina have something planned for tomorrow?"
"No, it's nothing like that. Yukina and I are actually childhood friends and neighbors so we see each other practically every day. That's not anything band or school related."
"I see, I'll keep that in mind whenever she comes over. Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow!"
"See you Kasumi!"
I walked back down to see Saya quietly packing her things. She then turned to the others and started to wake them so we could all go home. Even though Arisa was already home, since we have most if not all practices in her basement, she accompanied us anyway. We split off from each other to reach our homes.
"Kasumi, you alright?" I turn around to see that Arisa is also with me. Not evident to other people besides us, but Arisa and I are rather close in terms of relationships. In fact, she's my girlfriend.
"I'm alright, just tired from today." I grab her hand and pull her into a hug "Now, do you want to spend the night or go home alone?" By saying this, I knew I'd get somewhat of a flustered response...or so I thought.
"I'll spend the night here. Not having practice tomorrow and it being a Saturday is probably the best thing for someone like me." I was a little thrown off by her response as a light blush crept across my face. Well, no matter. Soon after entering my house, Arisa looked as if she was about to fall asleep. My younger sister, Asuka, found me in a position of holding up Arisa.
"What are you doing big sis?"
"Hey A, sorry about this but can you help me?"
"What happened to her?"
"Sleepy…" Arisa mumbles before falling fully asleep.
"We finished practice early, but since Arisa is a bit of a hermit, she tires out rather quickly." I say as Asuka shakes her head.
"Fine, I'll help." She grabbed the other side of Arisa and we placed Arisa on my bed and the two of us left the room. The events after were dinner, a shower and then sleep. My bed isn't big enough for two people to be comfortable in the slightest, but I managed to slip in. I wrapped my arms around Arisa and started to fall asleep. I feel her shift a bit in her sleep as she rolls over to face me. I gently kiss her cheek before pulling her close and letting her cute little snores lull me to sleep.
I wake up the next morning feeling cold. Turns out while she was asleep, Arisa stole the blanket that was covering us. I didn't want to bother her and wake her up early since you could barely see the sun. I roll off the bed and head straight for the kitchen. I see mom making breakfast, with some of the food already prepared. I grabbed two plates and filled them up. Not so high to where it would be a little heavy to carry though.
"Don't you think that two plates is a bit much, sweetie?"
"It would be the case if I was eating alone, but since Arisa spent the night and immediately went to sleep when we got here. She must be starving." I said and she understood. Since my family knows about the kind of relationship I have with Arisa, she didn't pry any further. I walked back to my room and set the plates down on my desk. I slightly nudged Arisa so she could wake up to eat breakfast. I know I said earlier that I didn't want to bug her, but she must be hungry and increasingly so. Her stomach growled as she moaned a little. "Arisa, I have breakfast for us. You should eat it now before it gets cold."
She groggily sits up and rubs her eyes. Arisa mumbled something that was kind of hard to make out. She then turns towards me and I pull her into a hug. "Good morning Arisa. Did you sleep well?" She doesn't answer but returns the hug. She notices the plates of food behind me as her stomach growls again.
"We have plenty of food, so eat up!"
"Thank you." She didn't move away from me and instead giggled in a way I've never heard. "Feed me." was what she whispered into my ear. Another light blush creeps across my face. I didn't think Arisa would be this assertive, but it was nice to feel she was being more honest with herself when with me. After feeding her a bit, I stopped so she could finish and I could start. We finished our food and we went downstairs to put our emptied plates in the sink. Asuka was sitting on the couch and we soon joined her
"Are you doing anything today Kasumi?" Since it was the start of the day, we could do something together early before I go see Lisa later today.
"Right now we can do something, but I did make other plans today." Both turned to me with confused looks since making plans on a weekend is something I never do.
"Really? With who?" A clear tone of jealousy in Arisa's voice that Asuka and I notice immediately.
"It's nothing special Arisa. I just planned to meet up with Lisa today, that's all." Even though what I said was the truth, Arisa still didn't like the idea of me spending time with another girl but she decided to drop it. She did, however, lock her fingers between mine. I suggested that we go shopping for things to either look at or buy if it something we really want. We then left Asuka watching tv and left for my room.
"Someone's jealous today"
"I have a right to be when you're going to spend time with someone that popular." She's not wrong though. Since Roselia has a lot of fans, it would make sense.
"I understand. Although I don't think anything will happen between the two to us."
"And you're sure about that?"
"She did tell me before I hung up that Yukina might come to visit since the two of them are neighbors, not to mention, they're also childhood friends." She still looked a little uncomfortable with this situation. What happened next went kinda fast for me. Arisa grabbed my cheeks, pulled me in for a kiss and then left to go take a shower. I stood there in a daze and then my face exploded as I jumped on my bed. Not that I mind since Arisa is just that cute. I felt my lips and then giggled. "Seems that jealousy stole my first kiss." I walked over to my dresser and noticed something on my neck that wasn't there before. Somehow Arisa managed to kiss my neck long enough to leave a hickey. 15 minutes go by and Arisa comes back in the room. I try to cover my neck with my hand, although it didn't really matter.
"I see that you noticed the little gift I left you."
With her getting dressed with a bag of clothes she keeps at my house in case of a situation like this. I then grabbed her wrist and pinned her down on my bed. She wasn't fully clothed so seeing her half naked had both of us blushing profusely.
"Get off me Kasumi!" I then silence her with my own lips. After a while, I pull back and see that damage I've done. I go back to kissing and she doesn't resist anymore, which threw me off a bit. I slipped my tongue inside her mouth and started to swirl around her tongue. With our hand intertwined, I use my free hand to roam around her body.
"Big sis, are you…." The door swung open then slowly closed soon after. Arisa kicked me off of her and I hit the floor with a slight yelp.
"How the hell are you going to explain this Kasumi!"
"It's quite simple honestly. You stole my first kiss at an inopportune time and gave me a hickey. It's only fair I kiss you back." I know this isn't the answer she wanted, but she couldn't refute. "You finished getting dressed and I'll talk to her." I left the room and went towards Asuka's.
"I assume you've come to explain yourself." The atmosphere surrounding her spelled awkward. Understandably so.
"Short story really, Arisa stole my first kiss and gave me a hickey" I point to the spot on my neck "So I decided that payback was in order. I just didn't expect anyone to walk in."
"Are you saying that if I hadn't walked in, things may have escalated?"
"You would think so, but absolutely not. If something like that were to happen, I'd rather it not be here so I wouldn't disturb all of you here." A massive blush fires across our faces as I finish talking. After walking out of the room, I meet back up with Arisa in my room and we leave to have fun on our little date.
