Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Dancing Demons. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own ReZero, Tappei and a few others do.

He smelled the woman before he saw her. Gaerwulf pushed himself to his feet in time to counter the lunge from the cat like creature.

He grunted as pain shot up his side. The agony felt like a thousand fires burning his insides. However? This made him grin to himself as he turned and looked while he cracked his knuckles.

Gaerwulf's eyes narrowed as he let the beast out of its cage. He looked at the leopard like creature.

"If you wanted a fight?" Gaerwulf asked while his muscles budged.

The creature watched the man's skin rapidly grow dark black fur. His ears became fluffier, his nails lengthened. His crimson eyes budged for a second as fangs shot out of his mouth. His tattered clothing was ripped apart, but mainly his shirt and shoes which were blown apart. His bones cracked as he grew taller and taller, looming over the creature.

The werewolf straightened his back. He stood at least 3 inches taller than the creature at 9ft. His tail swished back and forth as he cracked his neck and knuckles.

"You only had to ask…." Gaerwulf growled with a much deeper voice before charging forward. "This will be fun…" Gaerwulf stated, his fang filled mouth stretched into a grin.

He lunged at the creature which threw itself at him. He caught it mid pounce and tried to slam it to the ground. The leopard grabbed at his chest and used his momentum to drag him to the ground.

'Smart…' Gaerwulf thought before the hulking shapeshifter pushed himself up slightly.

The leopard like creature tackling him, knocking him slightly off balance as he felt their claws dig into him.

This caused Gaerwulf to roar while he pushed the leopard off him. That surprised him, it took a lot to cut through his hide.

"Ow…. Damn it…" Gaerwulf muttered before looking at the leopard. "Now this fight is getting good." Gaerwulf added as he pushed himself to his feet.

Crimson blood gushed from the claw marks before they started to seal themselves back up. He looked at the marks and hummed.

He and the leopard began to circle each other like hungry animals. He wanted this fight, the leopard seemed to want this fight. Both enjoyed it.

"C'mon…." Gaerwulf hissed before surging forward while snapping his jaws at the leopard.

It dodged and leapt onto his back. Gaerwulf fell backwards, pinning the beast under his girth. He roared at their face which was returned equally. Gaerwulf pinned her to the ground with a hulking hand as he turned to look to the side.

It was then he sniffed the air. He smelt something… Something familiar, a scent that he was used to in a way.

"I smell human, like me." Gaerwulf stated as he looked down at the leopard. He glanced at their eyes. "You're a shapeshifter, aren't you?" Gaerwulf asked before his eyes narrowed.

The leopard growled at him before tilting its head as he hummed. It was then he realized that they had smelt him. Gaerwulf loosened grip slightly and allowed the feline creature to climb to his feet.

Gaerwulf hunched over, his body still not used to sustain the weight of his transformation. He felt more bestial then a man at times. Gaerwulf leaned on his knuckles to stare at the creature.

"Another shapeshifter, I didn't expect to see another." Gaerwulf said before remembering that he was bleeding still. "Your tough, very few hits leave bruises." Gaerwulf stated before straightening up.

"Excuse me a moment…" Gaerwulf said as he roared in pain as bones and muscles shifted. He pounded the ground as his body shrank down, he was glad that he had a healing factor.

It would have cut him apart to transform if not. The shock alone would have put him a coma. Gaerwulf transformed back into a human, left in the tatters of his pants as he sighed.

"That hurts like a mountain falling on you." Gaerwulf stated before looking at the leopard. "You can stay like that if you want. I kinda… Understand how it does a bit of wear and tear on wardrobe." Gaerwulf said before taking another sniff.

He smelt copper, blood. His blood which was slowly healing up. He knew for a fact that she was a shapeshifter. He could smell the traces of human sweat, the traces of perfume.

It was then the leopard began to do the same. He watched them slowly shrink and averted his eyes, tying a scrap of his jacket around his eyes. He looked at the ground anyway as he could still see through his own jacket.

"You could give some warning next time you do that; you know…" Gaerwulf stated before he hummed and crossed his arms.

He couldn't understand what had brought another shapeshifter to this area anyway. Then again? It was probably odd seeing another shapeshifter when it came down to it.

It was a few minutes before he heard the shapeshifter speak. Their voice also made him realize how glad he was to have tied up his eyes so he couldn't see them.

It was a woman. He'd be doing something that would have gotten him smacked in the head. Gaerwulf cleared his throat awkwardly as he rubbed at the nape of his neck.

"You are quite interesting to be in this area." The voice said as Gaerwulf started to look down at the ground. "I haven't seen another shapeshifter in some time…. You're a werewolf?" The voice asked while Gaerwulf managed to find some scraps of clothing.

"Uh… You might want to cover up…" Gaerwulf stated as he scratched at the back of his head. "Kinda why I said you might want to not shapeshift back like I did." Gaerwulf added as he hummed.

He didn't know what to say, he was busy thinking about what to do next at the moment. Gaerwulf said nothing for a moment before clearing his throat.

"May I ask what another shapeshifter is doing around here?" Gaerwulf said before pain shot up his side once more. "OW! Damn it, those stab wounds are killing my side. Sorry, I thought you were trying to kill me. Then again? You might not have to. Someone cut me up good before you came along." Gaerwulf stated as he slowly lowered himself to the ground.

He grunted in pain. His healing was less powerful in his human form then his wolf form. Gaerwulf had yet to understand why it was like that.

He didn't notice the woman was walking over to him as he thought about his next move. She began looking over his various wounds.

Gaerwulf blinked in shock before blushing.
