In a workshop, in a secluded forest known as the Timber Pines Zone a young two tailed fox was working on a bi plane. On a boombox nearby rock music played and the young fox sang along as he hopped off the top of the plane.
"Dancin with my se-elf, so let's sink another drink cause it'll give me time to think and I'll be dancin with myse-elf! Oh I've got nothin to lose and nothin to prove when I'm dancin with mys-elf!" He mimicked guitar motions while holding a wrench as he danced over to a tool young fox's name was Miles Prower, and he was a skilled inventor. He had been living on his for a year now, having moved out of his parents home in Pine City Zone, maybe a few hours flight north from his current home. He lived a normal average life for a mobian of his age, 13. That was, however, about to change.
His home and workshop were on the front end of a small run way and at the other end of a large explosion rocked the workshop and scared the hell out of the fox.
"Damn it! What the-!?" He looked down the runway before taking off. He began to spin his mechanical tails around to form a propeller, and activated his hover shoes allowing him to pick up a decent amount of speed. He shot down the run way at roughly 60 mph as he saw a crater had formed at the end of the run way. He came to a stop, and hopped into the crater. His right hand became encased in a small energy blaster, a weapon he made just in case and approached a form on the ground and see, a mobian. A blue hedgehog covered in scrapes and burns. The cannon returns to a bracelet as Miles rushed to check on the mobian. He picked up the hedgehog's head, careful not to cut himself on the blue hedgehog's quills. He was breathing deep, but Miles couldn't feel his heartbeat. His left arm seemed to be broken, and his right leg was out of socket. The fox pulled out a phone and began to ring up an old friend.
"Amy! Holy shit something crazy just happened, can you get down to the workshop?"
"Yeah, I'm on my way. Sorry I was a little busy."
Amy Rose looked in the mirror as she did up her soft quills into a pony tail. She had bathed and dressed herself in casual business wear, all black of course. She looked over to the clock on the wall, ten minutes till 3 am. She nods and goes to her main room where she had set up an altar, in the center of her main room.
A glowing green jewel sat in between two incense holders with the sticks of each stretching north, to south. Around the pedestal were six candles, each a different color; Blue, Red, White, Yellow, Purple, Cyan.
Amy breathes out, and begins to light the candles. After all six are lit, she lit the incense and began to meditate.
"Raaaaummmm… Raaaaaummmmm…" She vibrated out the word, causing the emerald to shine brighter, and brighter until the light engulfed her and she opened her eyes. She was in a world awash in azure light, in a large comfy office building. A large skeletal creature hunched over an old computer. It had massive bug like wings, and it's tail came to a bladed point. The face was monstrous, and sported small reading glasses that it's fiery eyes looked at the screen through.
Amy approached the bone devil and spoke softly, "Excuse me, I'm here to see Mr. Aldiya."
The creature looked over at her, and spoke in a strange feminine voice*. "Are you Ms. Rose? Here for Mr. Aldiya's 3 am appointment?"
The pink hedgehog nodded and the bone devil typed a few things on the computer.
"Go ahead and stand on the inverted pentagram, he knows you're here. You have a wonderful day ma'am, Ave Satanas." The bone devil pointed over to a glowing inverted pentagram.
"Okay, thank you so much, Ave Satanas." Amy said with a smile before standing in the pentragram. She could feel heat rise up her spine as suddenly appeared in an office dressed in deep blue furnishings and Maroon accents. It was regal, with the tall jackal in a business sut seeming a strange juxt of position to the kingly office. He sat at a desk in front of a large window that overlooked a blue land, in the distance large maroon pyramids could be seen. The jackal looked up from his desk, that held a laptop, ancient scrolls and books, and and odd looking device on a tray, with green ground up herbs and a brown leaf. The pungent and sweet aromas of marijuana and tobacco hit Amy's nose as she approached the desk. The jackal looked up to her and smiled. His scalera were a deep pink and had a glazed look to them. "Ah Ms. Rose! It's a pleasure to meet you, I've been very excited for this interview since I read your resume. You have certainly piqued my interest, please have a seat." He gestured to a seat that appeared in front of his desk. Amy took her seat with a smile. "Thank you Mr. Aldiya-"
"Please, Call me Jalib. Can I get you anything, water? Wine? Do you smoke Ms. Rose?"
She shook her no, as he continued to speak he began to pull pinches of the ground marijuana and place it in the dried leaf.
"So, Let's start with the basics; Tell me about yourself Ms. Rose, where do you come from? What led you to this point in your mortal life?"
Amy thought for a moment.
"Well I was born 14 years ago, we actually share the same birthday Jalib."
"Ha! What coincidence huh?" Jalib began to roll a substantial amount of the ground herb into the leaf, leaving a small strip unrolled which he began to lick along it as he finished rolling it up.
"My upbringing was pretty normal, my parents weren't really that over protective, they kept me on a decent path. I moved out when I was 11, and finished my last year of school on my own. They live in Pine City Zone, so I'm not too far from them.
I was, Eight when my Guardian Spirit Amas appeared to me and began to teach me your ways. It was then that I decided to use chaos magic to heal. I've been doing so ever since occasionally helping my friend Miles when he hurts himself." Amy spoke in a very formal almost rehearsed tone, trying to keep an air of professionalism to her. Jalib had lit his blunt and began to take puffs of it.
"That's what piqued my interest. Normally my warlocks are warriors, those who strike the Angels of Order down. You want to use it in a supportive manner, you want to heal with the infernal powers."
"Yes sir, I've used your teachings to heal for almost 6 years now." Amy said with a slightly proud smile. "Its become a passion of mine, to heal those who need it. Especially with the war happening in the Acorn Kingdom, we need more healers and less soldiers."
The jackal leaned back in his chair. "Ah yes, the last human's struggle to destroy the world once again. You know i had to fix their mess the first time right?"
Amy nodded, "Amas said as much. It's odd how mobians like to sweep that early history under the rug but that's one of many reasons I dedicated myself to you, you encourage questions and thinking not just blind worship like the others."
The jackal smiled. "Well Ms. Rose you have my interest. You are hired, put 'er there." The jackal extended his hand to shake and Amy stood and took it, as their hands made contact a surge of firey power awoke inside Amy, she could feel the magics around her abd felt Jalib's burning gaze with in her. She blinked as the handshake ended, and when her eyes were open, the incense had burned out and the candles melted down to half. As she blew out the candles and set her ritual emerald on her altar, her phone began to buzz. She took it from her pocket and answered it, it was from Miles.
"Amy! Holy shit something crazy just happened, can you get down to the workshop?" Came the panicking voice of the younger Fox.
"Yeah, I'm on my way. Sorry I was a little busy. You okay?" She said as she grabbed her keys and lightly jogged to her car.
"I'm fine I just- This guy just fell from the sky and made a crater in my run way."
"Miles! What have I told you about the Mobian Cannon!?"
"THIS ISN'T THAT AMY AND THAT DEFINITELY COULD WORK!" Amy giggled as she pulled the phone away and the twin tailed fox raged at her. "I'm on my way then, how bad is he?"
"He's covered in-... Just get down here I gotta go." And the line goes dead. Amy quirked an eyebrow before pocketing her phone and starting up her car, before taking off down the road towards Miles' home.

Miles just hung up on the phone, now looking at the blue hedgehog on the hospital bed in his workshop infirmary. The medibot was working today and had stabilized the Mobian, but the cuts, bruises, and broken bones were all gone, there was now just an unconscious hedgehog on his hospital bed.
"Th-that's… not possible, how did you- th-this…" Miles shook his head, and walked over to the medibot, checking the hedgehog's vitals. All seemed normal except his heart rate and metabolism.
Both were seven times faster than the average Mobian. He had already gone through 5 IV bags, and the sixth was half full already.
"What *is* this guy? Maybe I should…" Miles spoke as he then grabbed a yellow tablet nearby. He pointed it at the Hedgehog as it beeped for a moment.
"He's full of an unknown energy, it's not Chaos… Maybe this is what's causing the enhanced healing….?" The doorbell rang through the workshop.
"Miles! I'm here!"

Sonic was in a strange void of darkness. He felt like he was laying down, with severe hunger pains. He curled up in pain suddenly feeling a sharp pain and several tugs on his body. He opened his eyes, blinking out the light as he saw he was in a mechanical work shop. He was in a sort of thrown together hospital. The sharp pain was an IV and flashes of his first memory spawned in his mind.
He shouted and ripped the needle from his arm causing a searing pain in his arm. He growled and fell from the bed, gripping his arm. Suddenly a door opened and two mobians entered, a fox with two tails, and a pink hedgehog. They were talking.
"...and I was in here whe he- Damn it!" Suddenly they ran up to Sonic, with the pink hedgehog dropping to her knees and gently gripping Sonic. She grabbed his arm and pulled the wound into view.
"Ow, That hurts lady!" Sonic weakly tried to pull away, he didn't notice that the cut was slowly closing on it's own.
The pink hedgehog closed her eyes and slowly placed her hand over the wound.
"Lllommmmmmmm….." The noise vibrated through Sonic and suddenly the pain was gone, as she moved her hand the cut was gone. She stood and backed off giving him an annoyed look.
"Why would you rip an IV out of your arm!?" She said to Snic crossing her arms.
"Look the last time I woke up with a needle in my arm I forgot literally everything, so excuse me for being a bit apprehensive about waking up with a new one." The pink hedgehog frowned.
"Eugh, druggie…" She said as the fox came over to sonic with a weird yellow thing.
"Vitals are normal, for you anyways. I don't think he means that, Amy. There was an undefined chemical compound in his blood stream, if what you say is true," He glances up at Sonic, "that's an Amnesia serum. But, why?"
Seeing as these people seemed to be helping him he shrugged.
"Well I guess I'll start from the top…"
Sonic explained his story so far, to his new friends Amy Rose and Miles Prower. Explaining his speed, his imprisonment at the hands of Ivo Robotnik, and his race against the Black and Red Hedgehog.
It was 6 am, Friday, 10th day of The Dry Season.
And our story begins, later that day…
*Author's Note:
The Bone Devil sounds like the receptionist from the original ghostbusters film, I spent three days staring at that part and decided to just say, "fuck it" and moved on.
