'This is the place.' I thought as I walked up to an old apartment complex. I was wearing a green hoodie and a pair of blue jeans, a black backpack, and a few bags of clothes.

Making my way towards the door, I rang the door bell. "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah." I heard a woman's voice, with me watching it open to revile an older woman looking up at me. "What is it, delivery?" She questioned, with me blinking at her rude tone.

"No, I'm-"

"One of them God freaks? We don't need saving." She interrupted, where she got ready to close the door on me.

"No, I'm not-"

"You must be that nosey tombstone salesman!" She said with a gasp, before she glared at me. "I told you that when I need one I'll call you!" She said, with me raising an eyebrow at that.

"No, that's not it! I'm actually here about the-"

"Oh yeah, you're here for the TV!" She said as she made a fist and hit her palm with it. "Why didn't yo say so? About time you showed up, come on in!" She said, grabbing my arm and dragging me in and over to her TV, which was nothing but static. "Its been nothing but fuzz for a couple of days now." She said, with me just nodding as I didn't care anymore. "At the store, you said that once we switched over to this digital whatever it is that we would get no more static, right?" She asked, with me already knowing what was wrong with the TV. It had next to no power going through and the only way to take care of that was to send a small burst of electricity threw it to increase the power output.

"Sorry, wasn't me who said that." I said as I secretly absorbed the electricity from a nearby outlet. Giving it a quick smack, we watched as the static went away. I had learned this from my time at college when my roommate's TV started acting up and once he took it apart, he found out what was wrong and told me how to fix it. I had done the same thing but used too much and almost shorted it out. "There, how's that?" I asked, with her looking from the TV to me in shock.

"But... how?" She questioned, looking back at me.

"Now, I'm actually here for the Room that is available, room 201." I said, with her nodding as she understood now.

"Yes, sorry." She said, looking back at the TV and then walking towards the door. "Follow me, I'll take you to your room." She said, with me nodding and following after her. "So, here we are, what was that name again?" She asked as we walked up the stairs just outside of her building.

"Dante Formost." I answered, with her nodding.

"Right, right, right, you're the guy that the realter called about. New to the city, huh?" She questioned, with me nodding. It wasn't true, I was here years ago as the Insane Detective, but on the other side of the city.

"That's right, I'm here for school." I said, with her nodding her head at that as we stopped at the door.

"I know how you kids are, and I don't mind a little partying, just don't go starting any trouble, got me?" She said, with me giving her a fake smile and a nod.

Hearing the door behind me open up, I turned to look and saw a woman exiting, trying her best not to be recognized, but with the way she was dressed, it was clear that she was a escort or something along them lines. "Miss. Haraguchi, I would like to introduce you to your new neighbor, Mr. ah... Come on kid, help me out!" She whispered to me, with me smiling at the woman.

"Dante Formost." I said, bowing to her slightly. We watched as she locked her door and just walked away, with me keeping eyes on her as she was the target, and everything was going just fine as she didn't suspect anything.

"You're not going to turn out to be some kind of stalker, now are you?" She asked, with me looking at her with wide eyes.

"No, absolutely not!" I said, with her nodding and walking away, where I entered my room soon after. "Target is on the move." I said as I placed a finger up to my ear.

"He's in, Target Acquired." Yoruichi said, with me knowing that she was following the Target.

"The Black Reaper, lets see how good he really is." Argo said, with me getting everything unpacked.

Later that night

"Target is on the move, she's being chased by two police officers." Yoruichi informed as I was on the roof not far, watching the chase taking place.

"By the way she is running, she will end up in the park." I said, looking off in the distance. "Moving to intercept." I said, taking my Decay form and flying off towards the park. Landing in the park, I removed my mask and black coat and hid them in the bushes before walking away.

Bumping into the Target, she looked shocked to see me. "She went this way!" We heard, with me looking over her shoulders, with me seeing the two who were chasing her.

"Are they after you?" I asked, with her looking back at me with fear in her eyes. "This way!" I said, grabbing her hand and pulling her with me.

"Wait, I have to go!" She said as I took off my Green coat and tossed it around her shoulders and pinned her against the tree, shocking her at the sudden action.

"Just stay quiet." I said, inches from her face. We were looking at the two as they got closer. Seeing them stop, I kept my eyes on them. Seeing them start to head this way after looking at us, but they were drawn away by another noise, with me backing up. "They are gone." I said, looking back at her as she stared at me. "Sorry about that." I said, bowing my head to her a bit.

"What are you doing out this late?" She questioned, with me looking up at the sky.

"I was looking out at the stars. From My apartment, you cant really see them. Out here, it's as clear as day." I said, with her nodding as that was a good answer.

"Why, they are just stars?" She said, with me looking back at her.

"They remind me of my family, we used to look up at the stairs all of the time." I lied without a second thought.

"Say... have we met somewhere?" She asked, with me blinking at that.

"I'm your new neighbor. Dante? Room 201? We met earlier?" I said, introducing myself once more.

"Yes... we did." She said, taking my coat and folding it. "I have to go, thanks a lot!" She said, passing me my coat and then running off.

Once she was far enough, I placed a finger on my ear. "Target is on the move once more." I said, going back to the bush to get my gear.

"I'll keep my eyes on her for now." Yoruichi said, with me nodding.

Later

"-He said, its time to move the stuff. Where is it?" I heard as I placed my back against the corner, looking down the ally and seeing the Target with an unknown man.

"Target spotted, she's talking to a man." I said as I placed my finger up to my ear.

"He must be another Contractor. Treat him as a threat, but don't kill, we don't know for sure!" Yoruichi said, with me nodding as I removed my mask and coat once more.

"Take me to see him, I know its risky, but, please!" Haraguchi pleaded as I hid my items behind a dumpster. Watching as he placed a cloth over her mouth, I rushed forward and grabbed a plank of wood, where I smacked the guy upside the head, knocking him out. Watching as she started coughing, I looked at the piece of wood and then back at her. "You?" She said, and I put up a shocked expression.

"What happened, are you alright?" I asked, where the man let out a groan, with me tisking as we looked at him. 'That's not good.' I thought, grabbing her hand and running off as it was too dangerous to be here.

Later

'She's sweaty now.' I thought as I saw the sweat on her face from our long run. 'This should be good.' I thought as we came to a stop on a bridge, where she started getting the air back in her lungs.

"Hurry, run, get out of here!" She ordered me, where I turned to face her.

"What about-"

"Just run!" She yelled, with me hearing something behind me, where I then watched as the mans face from earlier was sticking out of a pillar.

Seeing him jump out of the pillar, he hit me with his elbow, knocking me into the edge of the railing. Watching him jump up, he kicked me in the face, knocking me off the edge. 'Not good!' I thought as I saw a train, with me tossing up my wire and catching myself. Stopping just an inch or two from getting hit by the train, it came to a sudden stop. Pulling myself up, I looked around and saw that the two were gone, making me from at this. "Zero, Target is sweaty and missing. Taken by the man. He is either a Mutant or Contractor, can you get a lock in on them?" I questioned as I started walking the way I came, that way I could get my gear.

"I have her, Feline has already picked up your gear for you, Darling." Zero Two said, with me nodding as Argo was known as Feline while on mission. The same went with Zero Two, we just called her Zero. I turned around and made my way towards the Targets last known position.

Later

"Target Located." Zero Two said as I walked up to a buildings power box and opened it. "Three Contractors are with her. There's an electrical lock that requires a passcode from the inside to open." She said as I placed my hand on the box.

"Making a move without your gear is out of the question. I'm too far from you to give it to you." Argo said, with me nodding.

"Then we go with Plan B, retrieve the girl and get out of there. Black Reaper, I will prevent them from grabbing her, she will have to run "towards" you." Yoruichi said, with me nodding. "GO!" She ordered, with me sending all of the electricity towards the room and over powering it, taking out all of the power in the room. Hearing the door open, I walked over to the edge and saw her running, where Yoruichi jumped at the three men. The distraction worked as she was long gone, with me making my move.

Later

Walking around the corner, I bumped into her once more, with her eyes widening once she saw me. "Are you ok?" I asked, grabbing her shoulders, where she started crying. She pulled me into a hug, one that I was forced to return to make her calm down. Once she stopped, I took notice that she was passed out, with me picking her up. "Target is out." I said, walking away with her.
