Chapter 1:

Hi guys! I'm sooo sorry that I haven't been updating recently. I'm not dead. I've just been having a rough 2021. Such as babysitting, dishes, and, of course, COVID-19 Anyways yellow 14, it's my story and my plot. I can have fun. That's the best part about writing a story or fanfiction, I could even make up crazy conspiracy theories.

I've been working on the second chapter of this story for quite a while, but I've been shooting down ideas and this one is a recycled one, or at least the first part is. Hope you enjoy it!

When Marinette was beginning to talk she said to her mama as she pointed to her hair "Mama why bu-bu?" her mom just said "I'll explain when you're older. But for now my little ladybug, the tickle monster is gonna get you!"

When Marinette was eight, she began her bath just after she convinced her maman that she could do her bath. She got into her warm bath and relaxed. She wanted to style her hair in the bath so she took them out of their special mermaid clip her mama gave her. She put her hair in the water and was about to get the shampoo and conditioner until she noticed that her hair was glowing blue. She got out of the tub and put on her bathrobe. She yelled "Maman! Maman!" her mama came and she said, "Are you okay Marinette?" "My hair glowed blue in the bath. Is it okay?" "Yes, honey, it's okay, just go on with your bath." She did what she asked. Still there lingered one question: What happened to her hair?

Time skip to the present day.

Marinette was packing when she heard a knock at the door. It was her mom. "Once your father and I heard that you'd go to the beach, we decided to get you a few things that you might need. Including a swimsuit and something else." "Thanks, Mom! You're a lifesaver. I needed a swimsuit! I felt like something was missing. I'll miss you and Papa. But I'll be sure to have fun." She unfolded it and it was a yellow one-piece flounce swimsuit.

The next day, everyone was at the airport to get ready to go to Mermaid Cove. Ms. Bustiere said that if they got there in time, they could go swimming, so they all had their swimsuits underneath and cover-ups on top. Marinette wore a shoulder shirt with a skirt and shorts on top of her flounce swimsuit. They all entered a private jet. Marinette sat down beside Alya and thanked her lucky stars that Lie-la wasn't there (yes, I don't dare speak her name or type it. Therefore it's banned to say her name.) because she had an "operation" for ear problems or something. She fell asleep as the plane was reaching altitude.

Time skip to when they're in Mermaid Cove.

Marinette woke up just as the plane landed. She excitedly ran out and breathed in the salty smell of the Cove. They boarded the bus and went to a charming-looking beach, especially since it was almost sunset. She immediately rushed onto the sand and happily sat down on the sand. Ms. Bustiere called to her and said "Marinette before we go swimming, we have to take off our cover-ups and shower first." "I know Ms. Bustiere. I'm just excited to be on a beach. I've been meaning to for a while." She got up and did what she was told to do.

She went out and stuck a foot in the water. It felt warm and inviting. She waded in more. She was finally in water that was up to her stomach, she faced the beach, bent her back into the water, let her feet leave the ground, and floated on her back. Pretty soon, everyone started going in and starting a splash fight.

Time skip to the middle of the night.

Marinette sat up in her bed. She'd just had a weird dream. She had dreamt of drowning and a stone-faced merman saved her and brought her to the King of Merpeople and was given something. That was when she woke up, she checked the clock. It was midnight. She closed her eyes, but she heard something coming from the beach, weirdly it sounded like someone was singing to her. She opened the window, and her eyes, and saw the sea glowing. Wait, glowing? Yes, it was glowing. And it was glowing blue? She decided to go downstairs. She carefully stepped over a few of the girls sleeping on the floor in sleeping mats. She got out narrowly missed tripping over Chloe. She caught herself before she could wake Chloe up and cause a ruckus. Thankfully, she managed to leave the whole of the second floor before she could cause any more trouble. She opened the sliding door and cautiously neared the beach. She confirmed her question. Yes, it was glowing and she wasn't dreaming. Suddenly, she was surprised by the urge to go in, it felt so... hypnotic. She came to her senses and sat down. After inhaling and exhaling, she went back inside and prepared herself an orange, after her midnight snack, she turned off the lights and sighed as she climbed the stairs. But her sleep was

Hi guys, I'm sorry I took so long to update TFA, but I've either been lazy or just decided to watch videos on YouTube (or just creating book covers and thingamajigs). But I'll try to update this story before its birth. Oh, and I'm thinking about a sort of update you kind of newspaper thingy. I still need to find out a way on how to make it, though it's one of those seedlings planted in my stories and fanfictions aisle. Reesie out.
