Chapter 2: Banned from the surface
We got home to Atlantica. when we got home King Triton was not too happy with Ariel for missing the concert. King Triton was a little mad at me but he wasn't too mad since I was new here. He was really mad at Ariel though. "I just don't know what were going to,
do with you, young lady" King Triton said. "Daddy, I'm sorry I just forgot" Ariel said. Flounder and I were listening to the conversation behind the walls. "As a result of your careless behavior..." King Triton started.
Sebastion finished for him. "Careless and reckless behavior" Sebastion said. "The entire celebration was..." King Triton stumbled on his words. "well it was ruined! that's all! completely destroyed! the concert was to be the pinnacle of my distinguished career!
now thanks to you, I am the laughingstock of the entire kingdome!" Sebastion shouted. Flounder and I had enough so we swam up to them. "But it's not her fault! uh, oh,
first the sharks chased us, yeah, yeah, and we tried to but we couldn't...and he...and then...we..." Flounder couldn't know what to say. "And then we were safe" I said.
"But then this seagull came and was like 'this is this, and that is that, and..." Flounder was cut off by King Triton. "Seagul!" King Triton shouted. Flounder shut his mouth,
and hid behind Ariel's hair. King Triton got close to Ariel. "You weren't up to the surface again didn't you? and you took Lana up there too didn't you?" King Triton said.
"Nothing happened" Ariel said. "Yeah, we were perfectly fine" I said. "Ariel how many times must we go through this? you could have been seen by one of those barbarians!
by one of those humans!" King Triton said. Ariel got angry. "Daddy, they're not barbarians!" Ariel shouted. "They are dangerous! do you think I want to see my youngest,
daughter snared by some fish-eater hooks?!" King Triton said. "I'm 16 years old, I'm not a child anymore!" Ariel protested. "Don't you take that tone of voice with me,
young lady! as long as you live under my ocean you will obey my rules!" King Triton shouted. "but if you would just listen!" Ariel started but was cut off. "not another,
word! and I am never, never to hear of you two going to the surface again! is that clear?" King Triton said. I said nothing and nodded. Ariel swam away crying. I chased,
after her. "Ariel wait!" I cried. Flounder too was chasing after her. I kept swimming next to Ariel and Flounder until she led us to a secret tunnel. she opened it up. "In here" Ariel whispered to me. I nodded and followed her inside once she got the door opened.
The door closed behind her when we got inside. Ariel laid down on a rock. "Ariel, are you okay?" Flounder said. "Yeah, are you okay?" I said. "If Only I could make him understand. I just don't see things the way he does.
I don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad" Ariel said. Ariel then started signing. after Ariel finished singing we heard a loud noise. "What the?" I said. Flounder went into hiding as Ariel and I looked around to what could have caused,
that noise. "Sebastion?" Ariel said with shock. I was pissed. "Sebastion, what the hell?! you were spying on us?!" I shouted. Sebastion spits out the pipe. Ariel, Lana...
how could you, what is all this?" Sebastion said. "It's uh...just my collection" Ariel said nervously. "Oh, I see. your collection hmm...if your father knew about this place"
Sebastion was cut off by Flounder. "You are not gonna tell him, are you?!" Ariel said. "Oh please Sebation, he would never understand" Ariel said. "Please don't get my,
friend in trouble" I said begging him. "Girls, you're under a lot of pressure down here. come with me, I will take you two home and get you girls something warm,
to drink" Sebastion said. we swam outside of our secret layer. Ariel and I saw a bright light coming from the ocean surface. "Ariel, what is that?" I said. "Let's go see"
Ariel said. I fallowed Ariel as we were swimming up to the surface. when we got to the surface (we are still in the water) we saw a boat that was shooting up fireworks.
Airel and I gasped with amazment. Sebastion and Flounder came up to the surface with us. "Ariel, Lana what are you...(Gasp) Jumping Jellyfish!" Sebastion cried,
when he saw the boat. Ariel and I swam to the boat, While Sebastion was yelling at us to come back. when we got to the boat we climbed up the side and peered,
through the window. we smiled as we saw crewmembers of the ship dancing to music and we saw a dog barking happily. the dog came towards us and when he got close Ariel and I hid. when Ariel and I came out of hiding, the dog gave us both kisses.
I giggled a bit. Ariel and I smiled as we watched the dog play with his owner who had black hair, blue eyes, and a white shirt on. he looked happy. I sighed. I miss being a human. I wish I was a human again and go back,
to my normal life. I wanna watch movies again and see my family. Ariel and I were startled when a voice spoke to us. "Hey there sweetie's, quite a show eh?" A voice said. the voice belonged to Scuttle the seagull who was flying up to us. "Scuttle be quiet,
they will hear you" Ariel said. "Oh I got ya, I got ya" Scuttle said as he stood next to us. Scuttle kept talking but Ariel shut him up by grabbing his beak. "I have never,
seen a human this close before. oh he's very handsome isn't he" Ariel said. "Yeah...and the girl over there is pretty" I said. "I don't know. he looks kind of hairy and slobbery to,
me" Scuttle said. Ariel, and I giggled. "No, not that one. the one playing the snarfbalt" Ariel said as he pointed Scuttle's head to the man. "Silence, silence!" An old man said. "It
is now my, honor and privilege to present our esteemed Prince Eric, with a very special, very expensive, very large birthday present. ah, gimpsey ya old beanpole you shouldn't,
have" The young man said. so the young man was Prince Eric and the older was Gimpsey. "I know" Gimpsey said. "Happy birthday Eric" Gimpsey said. one of the crew,
took off the cloth that was covering his gift. "It's uh...really something'" Prince Eric said. "yes, I commissioned it myself. of course, I had hoped it would be a wedding present"
Grimpsey said with a bored tone. "Oh come on Grim. don't start" Prince Eric said. after a while, a storm started to break out.
"Hurricane coming!" A man cried.
