She was sitting in a sushi bar when she saw an older Asian man and a younger good looking man coming in together. She tried not to keep staring as he ordered his meal.

She kept on eating her food when another woman tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey, do you want anything else?" Leah asked, the waitress and barkeep.

"I could use two vodka shots, and a California roll," she added.

"That's a lot of alcohol. I'm not sure I should give that to you and let you drive," Leah said hesitantly, "You're already had one already."

"Don't worry about it. I've got a condition. I don't absorb the alcohol," she told her, "I don't get drunk. You can give me the ole walk the line when I leave if it makes you feel better."

"Okay," she nodded but decided to go along with it, "Don't blame me if I need to call an ambulance for your alcohol poisoning because I'm not fitting the medical bill."

She stayed at the bar for several more hours getting lost in her work. She was writing more papers, stories. The blip was an interesting time, but the aftermath was just as eventful if not more. The world had lost its purpose. Now she was documenting what that was like while it was happing now.

"Hey, we gotta close up," Leah said.

"You mean you want to have your date with that gentleman right there," she turned to the good looking man who had returned to the bar.

"That too," Leah added.

"Well good luck," she got up and grabbed her things, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"Thanks," Leah nodded to her.

She passed by the man and noticed that he looked oddly familiar.

She sat in another meeting the project manager for the newspaper firm she worked for. She didn't need the money. Investing in good businesses helped when your father knew what companies would survive or thrive in seventy years plus Stark Industries was always a good call when they also secretly funded that corporation that housed a hidden super soldier.

"We need a new and exciting story!" their manager spoke, "Something that actually excites people."

"What can we actually cover that hasn't been done before? We had half the population go bye bye plus a war with aliens twice, no three times, and we're down several Avengers," the man to her right asked.

"He has a point," she added.

"What about that new Captain America?" a woman to her left spoke up.

"What?"

"Captain America, John Walker. The US military just put out," the woman continued.

"That sounds like a good idea. Why don't we sent someone to interview him?" the manager asked.

"I'll do it," the same woman spoke up.

"No, no, no. We need a competent writer," the manager scoffed.

"What about Molly Archivald?"

"No. Too mousy."

"Isaiah McKnight?"

"No. Too slow."

"Colleen Ballard?"

"No. Too dramatic."

"Amanda Howard?"

She shook her head in an aggressive no fashion.

"Good writing. Strong composure. Not too slow on intel. Perfect," the manager turned to her, "Amanda Howard will go."

"Great," she grimaced.
